Adding tags to loops

I want to add tags to loops so that they show up in the loop browser in GB. Most of the loops in question are either mine or third party loops. Anybody know this trick?

Question about adding tags to images and music

Hi I have an artist page online and I have read that adding meta tags to your page does absolutely nothing to help search engines these days and then someone recommended adding tags to the images on my site using aperture (which I cant afford) so can anyone explain if I can do this in iphoto or photoshop? and also can I add tags to the mp3's available on my site to better perform in search engine searches? can i do this with itunes?

The search engines have to be lead to your music/photo page using an appropriate URL and having a text description with as many relevant "key" words as possible.
Also, you need as many links to this page as possible from other sites as well as your own pages.
When I enter one of my own song titles and name into Google, all the top listed links are sites that sell digital downloads and CDs. Have a look at the way these sites list your music to see the most effective way of doing it on your own website.
Obviously, you first have to add your URL to Google, Yahoo etc and get them to verify your sitemap.

Bridge CS6 crashes when adding tags or ratings

Bridge CS6 crashes when adding tags or ratings. Someone suggested upgrading video driver. It resolved the problem for a short time and then started crashing again when adding tags or ratings. Sometimes it works fine but lately it crashes almost every time I tag or rate one image. I have upgraded my video driver and reset cache and reset preferences.
Never had a crash with Photoshop CS6 or RAW ...only with Bridge when Tagging or Rating

Curt Y ....saw your response to another person with the same problem.....video, printer, or scanner drivers could be the problem???? Really? My computer never crashes until I installed Bridge.

Has anyone been having issues using tags? Adding tags to PDF's from within Preview results in a delays

When adding tags to documents from within the document using the menu, after typing a few letters and then selecting a tag it then resets and you have to go back to the beginning. This is especially annoying when trying to edit a large number of documents quickly.
It seems you have to wait up to 5 secs after typing a tag before trying to add it again. The problem appears to be some system wide delay in editing the tag into the file.
I checked the problem against my new MacBook Air and it occurs there as wel.
Anyone else come across this?

The method you described is the current way I am doing it, my apologies I probably wasn't clear enough.
The tagging works, but the issue is that as I start to edit in the tag area, after choosing a tag(s) it resets to blank after a couple of seconds and I have to tag again. After the second time the tags stay there and I can save the document.
The tags I am choosing are from existing tags and it doesn't matter whether I click on them from the list or start typing a few characters and they appear, the problem is the same. It might seem trivial, but I regularly scan in a large number of documents and then edit their name and tags from the Preview title bar.
I would be interested if you can recreate the issue yourself, I have it on two different Mac computers so thought it was something that was a bug in Mavericks.

Key Focus when Adding Tags

When I click the "Add Tag" button at the bottom of a post, the text entry field does not automatically receive key focus, meaning I must click on the field before I begin to type or CTRL+V a tag from the clipboard. I would like to see this text entry box automatically receive keyboard focus after clicking "Add Tag".

Adding 3rd party loops to the GB library (OSX)

Hope anyone can throw some light on this.
On the previous version of GB, I used to unpack the loops, select them as a group and drag to the Loops library in GB. This added them to the library catalogue with no problems so they could be selected, listened to and dragged into my tracks.
I've upgraded to the latest version, however when carrying out the same process, only some are added and others will simply not appear in the library.
Looking at the files, both are AIFF-C audio, both the same sample rate, both the same bits per sample and both the same duration. It's completely baffling me. Of the 509 loops I'm trying to add in this example, only 240 appear in the loop library. All will play in iTunes, so it doesnt appear to be file corruption at all.

Have Added Soundtrack Pro Loops. Now Need To Delete Greyed Out Duplicates?

As you know, only half the loops come on the DVD and the rest have to be downloaded.
The downloadable loops appear greyed out in the Loops Browser until you download them.
I have added my Soundtrack Pro loops to the Loops Browser so now every downloadable loop is duplicated.
One is playable (the STP one) whilst the other is greyed out.
Is there any way of deleting the greyed out names?

Adding presumed APPLE loops to GB3/browser

okay
cut me a break here.
I just downloaded about 30 Apple loops by Smart media.
They are aiffs. Some have wavs.
what are the exact intelligent steps to take to get these inside GB3 so that they are indexed and ready to be called up by typing their name? This is not as easy as you think.
they are loops for electric guitar, bass and percussion.
I have the appropriate folder in my HD. But what must i do to get them properly as per protocol to land inside the browser and be usable. Thanks for the lesson.
( I loaded them in the folders. I then dragged them onto the browser and they just cant be found )

i work on a 2 computer set at home 1pc and 1 mac...on the pc i use acid and i have thousands of loops i love and i wanted to use on gb , so i put them on a disk and added them to my itunes folder so when i click on the eye icon on the lower right corner i can axcess these loops and add them to my songs..so i suggest mabe something like that

Adding JPanels with loops

Okay... not sure what I'm doing wrong but I'm trying to create an array of JPanels, and using a loop to add them to a main panel... It compiles fine, but theres a runtime error "nullPointerException" every time I try to run it and I'm not quite comprehending why...

You created the array but you have not put any panels into the array, so there is a null at every spot in the array.

Adding to the loops folder/software instrument folder/components etc

i was screwing my whole GB system by messing with the entire folders labelled
like instrument library (dragging in a new one replacing the old one).
thus i kept getting "cant find application bundle".
the RIGHT/way to add software instruments, sf2's, components ( AU plug ins )
is to go to the folder that houses them and delete or add them there.
To add loops you drag the new loops over the loop area on the GB interface.
You do not replace whole loop folders with new ones. If i buy third party
or update computers that have additional software instruments i get them by
going to the exact folder that houses the SI's and add them there. Is this all correct? because this may sound basic but i have thousands of loops and alot of SI's and i must learn how to add these to additional computers or the same one?
please instruct me.

This is the only real issue I have had with the phone and I am not sure why this happens. I ended up changing mine to the code entry lock, which works well. My fear is getting completely locked out and having to do a factory reset. Other that this, I have had no other problems with mine.

Adding Effects to loops

Is there a way I can take a loop, split it, but only add the effect to the second part of the loop? For example I would need the effect to come in about a minute into the song but then I would need the effect to fade out. There are some other effects that I am using in the Master Effects that I don't need to have throughout the entire song as well. How can I control the effects?

Geez...all these people use Soundtrack and no one can answer my question?

You can add tags to a PDF Document. If the PDF is untagged you can use the advanced, accessabilty, add tags to the document. If the PDF is already tagged or after you have run the add tags you can use the "touch up reading order" menu and then make the item you want to be a table a table etc....

Adding tags to RSS feed with Podomatic to change hosting location

I'm currently using Podomatic to host my podcasts but I want to move to a different service. I know that I need to add <itunes:new-feed-url> in the RSS feed for iTunes to see the change but I'm not seeing where I'm able to manually do that in Podomatic. Unfortunatly Podomatic's customer service isn't helpful and will not provide a solution. Does anyone have any advice?

To Confirm what Roger said - Podomatic sadly is one of those podcast hosts that locks your into their feed. Like with Souncloud and buzzsprout. So just make sure your new host is not one of those either.
Always make sure when picking a podcast host whos feed you are going to use - that you can do these two things with your feed on your own.
1. Put in the iTunes new feed tag
2. Add in a redirect from your feed to a new feed.
The iTunes new feed tag alone is not good enough you also want the redirect available as well.
Let us know what the new feed is and I can let you know if you should use it or not.

Adding a for loop.

I need to add a for loop so that it displays all values less than 5.00. Also, I need to display all values that are above the average. Can anyone show me hoe to do this? Here is what I have so far.

A script for adding Tags based on search result

Hello all fellow faithfuls of InDesign!
I am looking at a challenge with my very basic (near to none) experience of scripting, that goes like this:
I need a script that could search through my story/selection and look for patterns (such as four digits in a row, basic RegEx stuff) and add a specific Tag-element with some specific attributes and given values that would be taken from the found pattern.
EXAMPLE: (Searching the text below)
Product 7352 price 23,60
Now the script would find: 7352 and tag it [7352] and give it attributes like RecordID = 7352 and Field = PRODUCTNR
For the price it would find the 23,60 and give it the same RecordID = 7352 and Field = PRICE.
How would I approach something like this?

Base on your code, I think the exception is threw in the code of Selection.Paragraphs(i).Range.Select.
For your code, you are getting the all paragraphs of the document (iParCount), however you are using the Selection object to get all paragraphs, which is incorrect unless you select the whole document content.
So, please modify the Selection to ActiveDocument.
For i = 1 To iParCount
ActiveDocument.Paragraphs(i).Range.Select
If ActiveDocument.Paragraphs(i).Range.ListParagraphs.Count = 1 Then
