Adding $$ to account w/debit card

Way back when you used to be able to add $ to your itunes account using a debit/credit card. Can you still do this? I don't want to constantly go get an itunes card nor do I want a ton of .99 debits from my account.
Please help cause i can't figure out how the heck to do this. I've looked all over.

As far as I know debit cards are no longer accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined. Do you have a creeit card (which are generally considered safer when used on sties that store the card's details), or one of the other payments that shows on the payment's screen (the options vary by country) ?
There are also instructions on this page for how to create a new account (they won't work with existing accounts) without giving credit card details : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534 . If iTunes gift cards are available in your country then you could potentially use them as your payment method (I'm not sure if redeeming one on the account that you've already created will verify it, or whether you would still need to enter a card's details on it).

I am not sure you can delet the account but you can delet the people on it, You have to go through your Itunes and account, As to the Debit card yes you can use a debit card as long as it has a master card or Visa logo.

Which country? Not all countries allow the same forms of payment.
I'm not sure the USA iTunes Store does accept debit cards:

You need to either remove items from your hard drive or iOS device, whichever you're referring to, or get a larger hard drive or an iOS device with more capacity.

If you are in the U.S and talking about withdrawing funds from your paypal account balance then you can only do so to a bank account and not a card.

What happens when you try to add it to your account ? Debit cards don't appear to still be accepted in all countries, and (based on what some people have posted) even where are still accepted it seems that not all cards are.
For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. I added an iTunes card to my account. THe balance shows on the account, but I can not download, because iTunes has an issue with the debit card linked to the account. Shouldn't it default to the balance from the card I added?

You need to fix the issue with the credit card on the iTunes account or you can remove the credit card.

If the amount of the purchase is close to $21.07, then you need to take into account taxes may be added.
If you go beyond the credit from a gift card the balance will be billed to your credit card account.

You probably could have Edited your payment information instead of deleting the card. Have you tried adding your card to iTunes/Account/Account Information/Apple ID Summary/payment information.

Debit card declined while trying to make an itunes account, I've put down all my details

I've entered my debit card information but it won't allow me to register my card which is preventing me from downloading apps. It says that my card is declined when I havn't bought anything yet. I don't have a credit card but is there a way that I can still use my visa debit?

If you have iTunes' preference set to "copy items to
iTunes library when adding", then it will duplicate
your tracks when you add them. So that may be why
you're running out of hard drive space. Go into the
iTunes Advanced -> General preference, uncheck that
option, clear your library (and delete any tracks
that were copied to your user's Music -> iTunes
folder if they've indeed been duplicated from another
location). Then follow the steps in this article:
iTunes: How to share music between different
accounts on a single computer
to get set back up.
Note that when it says "publicly accessible
location", it needs to be a place where everyone has
read and write access. The most common such place is
the Shared folder in the Users folder.

The article says, and I've confirmed it by checking, that credit card billing info is required.

Depending on how you created your account, "None" may or may not be an option. I believe it has something to do with whether the account was made through an App Store request or the regular iTunes Store. For example, my account allows no card but my father's doesn't allow there to be no card.
To change the card, go to your account settings and change the information to your new card, and hit save.

On your iPad tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

Because, I billed half to my account, as the system LET me do this and the other half to my debit card. Well they tried to take out the FULL PURCHASE PRICE on 9/23. It didn't go thru and they cancelled the order! I NEVER GOT ANY EMAIL from Verizon! I called this evening to find out the status of my order. Was told that since the device is on backorder, I cannot Bill to Account!!!! I am BEYOND LIVID! I realize that it's "JUST A PHONE' BUT, I should have had my device by Friday! NOW, I have to wait another month at best. I do NOT have credit cards and since this phone is on backorder, will have to wait another week before I can order it and by that time, it'll be CHRISTMAS before I can order a phone. I set up everything with no problems the first time. This was changed. Apple no longer accepts debit cards as an acceptable form of payment. This Apple support page lists all accepted forms of payment.
