  • Why can't I download "Added Content for Adobe Premiere Elements 10"?

I have purchased the dual-packaged Adobe Photoshop elements 10 and Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - Then when launching the Premiere Elements I get a message to download the "content for Adobe Premiere Elements"
I have tried to do this for a couple of hours now, and I have no idea why I can't get a link.... I keep getting referred to pages with no links at all...
    Can anyone help?.

Actually, I DOWNLOADED this "bundled" program (as opposed to retail)... and of course, I have no CD's....
But I did figure it out - The "buyer-user" should log in to Adobe and go to https://store1.adobe.com/cfusion/store/html/index.cfm?store=OLS-US&event=displayDownloads There UREKA I found it... and it installed fine.
Hower, I do think your lay-out of the help pages on this matter could be improved.
But thanks again for taking the time to answer and warm regards,

  • Adding media into Adobe Premiere Elements

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/premiereelements/using/WS8E086945-8338-478a-9083-710C2F9B1DA9. html

OK, you have at least one AV file, that is causing an issue, when Importing to PrE. There may be more. If all are the same CODEC, then just let us know what that CODEC is, as reported by G-Spot.
With some CODEC's, just having them properly installed on the system will not guarantee that PrE can edit that/those CODEC(s).
In general, there are three "types" of CODEC for Video (and similar for Audio, but that is usually simpler):
CODEC's for playback (most fall into this category)
CODEC's for Encoding from a program (fewer here, but still many fall into this category)
CODEC's for editing (small number of CODEC in this category, and it can differ, editing-program to editing-program)
For more info on CODEC's, see this FAQ Entry: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/546811?tstart=0
CODEC's are a very complex subject, and about the time that one learns all the details, then the camera mfgrs. change things up, so it is an on-going process. However, grasping the general concepts, and learning some of the popular CODEC's will be very helpful, if one is editing video. For playback, it is less complex, and many software players will even lead you to a Web site, to download a necessary CODEC for playback. Other players, like VLC Player and MediaPlayer Classic HC (both good and free), contain many of the common CODEC's, so one does not even need to install them on their system.
One temptation is to find CODEC "packs," and install those. However, I warn against just randomly downloading and installing CODEC's, even if they are free. I strongly recommend ONLY installing the exact CODEC, when it is needed. With many CODEC packs, two negative things can happen: as most are free, they have hacked, or reverse-engineered versions of many CODEC's, and will overwrite existing, commercial CODEC's, already on the system. Also, many install all sorts of other "stuff," and some of that can really mess things up for many Adobe programs. Adobe tries to "hide" its MainConcept CODEC's, by using a non-conventional naming scheme. This keeps some of those CODEC packs from overwriting those, but the CODEC pack can still alter the priority of a CODEC in the Registry, and that can cause issues.
When I need a specific CODEC, I try to go to the source, even if it is a CODEC, that I have to buy. Not all free CODEC's are bad, and two great ones are Lagarith Lossless and UT Lossless. I use both for intermediate files, that will be Exported, and then re-edited, perhaps in another program. Free is not necessarily a bad thing, but given a choice between a free version of a CODEC, and a commercial version, from the company that wrote it, I will pay the $'s every time.
Good luck, and hope that helps,
    Hunt

  • Sorry, a serious error has occured that requires Adobe Premiere elements to shut down. We wil attempt to save your current project. This error occures when Im adding a .mov movie.

    Hello everybody
I have a new laptop and when I want to add a .mov movie to Adobe premiere elements, this error occures. Im trying to solve this problem now for days but I dont know how to continue. Im working with Windows XP, Version 2002, T2250, 0.99 RAM and an old Premiere elements 2004 version.
On my old computer I was able to add this same .mov movies, but not on the new one.
I also tried to convert this .mov movies, but the quality was to bad...
Does anybody know this problem? Im appreciating every little advice and help.
    Thanks a lot
    Sabine

Sorry for all the delays getting your thread moving forward. I suspect that it got lost in the daily thread traffic and Adobe's major updating of the forums.
Do your issues still exist. If they are the same as when you posted on May 8th, then
    1. When you used HandBrake for the converslion of your .mov file, did you leave the Container = Mp4. And under Video Tab, did you set the Videc Codec = H.264 (x264)? All you needed to do at that point was dot the Constant for the frame rate and designate a frame rate and select the Start button and wait for the Queue Finished message in the progress bar at the bottom left of the HandBrake workspace.
    2. What model iPhone is the video coming from? Your iPhone is probably giving you HD video (probably 1080p). So increasing the computer's installed RAM from 2.00 to 4 GB would be expected to help the overall workflow. Only if you have a 64 bit computer operating system, 8 GB installed would be even better. The 4 GB installed RAM is the maximum supported by a 32 bit computer operating system.
    3. Specially for
The movie is stopping and jumping.
When you are playing back the Timeline content, are you looking at the "rendered Timeline"? Is there an red line over the content during that playback? If so, press the Enter key and wait for the render process to complete. This rendering process gives you the best possible preview of what you are seeing. The red  line could be due to your editing the content, or it could be due to an incorrect selection of project settings. If you supply information about your video properties, we can suggest the best possible project settings. I do not recall seeing that you mentioned what version of Premiere Elements that you are using 1, 2, 3, 4 or other?
Please review the above and then let me know what supplemental information and/or clarification would help.
    Thank you.

Installed adobe premiere elements 9 on a brand new computer.  Adding text, videos and photos.  If I add on transition the video runs fine.  Once I add a second transition and try to run the video the program shuts down in the first 10 seconds and says windows has detected a problem and has to shut down software.  We will be notified once there is a solution.  Any help?

Could you specify few details for your problems:
like System details, the Audio, Video formats, Project settings.
Also, display driver details would be helpful.

-What model of camcordder is your video coming from and what format and resolution is it?
I tried to add a video with the two devices.

The same thing happens and another video.

    the same result.
-How did you get the video from this camcorder to your computer?
Files are copied to the flash card to the HDD.
-Have you ensured that a video clip from this camcorder is the first clip on your timeline so that the program can match its project settings to your video specs?
Yes. Video clip from this camcorder is the first clip in the timeline.
Parameters of the project and the video above.
-When your project settings match your video specs, you will NOT see a yellow orange line along the top of the timeline, above your video clips, in Expert mode. Is this the case with your project?
No. I suspect that the problem occurs in the video is displayed on the timeline.
Because the assets of the project and put the video thumbnail is displayed on this video.
at the time of the drop on the timeline displays only rectangular frame that meets the duration of the video itself. let go of the mouse button. Displays only the blue rectangle.
Thumbnails of the first and last frames do not appear. takes 2-3 seconds and Pr closed.
I believe that until you see the yellow line is not reached.
-Have you ensured that any photos you use are sized to no larger than 2000x1500 pixels in size?
Yes, size is not more than 2000x1500
    - You're using a somewhat antiquated 32-bit operating system that can make limited use of your RAM load (which may explain why you only have 3 gigs of RAM), so you'll need to optimize your workflow by matching project settings to your video as closely as possible in order for the program to work effectively and stably.
yes, you're right. need to upgrade to 64bit. so I put 4GB of RAM, but I can not install 64bit Vindovs. no time. and available only 3.25 GB.
I would add, I hope it will help isolate the problem.
I've been tracking work in process monitor Pr. the very moment when it closes when you move the video on the timeline.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0 hangs while exporting and during peak file generation.

I have Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0 (PRE7). I have a project which is using a single clip from a Mini-DV that was captured with Nero 8. Nero 8 was used because it was captured prior to installing PRE7. The file is 12GB and is on a USB disk drive because I don't have the space on my main hard drive (I have about 11GB free). My project doesn't do too much that's fancy. It merely uses about 20 minutes of the 60 minute Mini-DV captured AVI, and it uses simple transitions between each scene. I also have very simple titles at start and end. No themes or anything else.
I've seen two problems. 1) While editing the project, seemingly (but I'm not positive it's related) while the peek file was being generated, PRE7 would get into a state of using about 40% to 50% CPU, and it would not let me do anything else. The other problem, 2) While using "Share" to export the video to WMA for playback on PC (about 180MB estimated file size according to Adobe), the file is exported to about the last remaining 5 seconds, but then PRE7 goes into that mode of hanging with 40% to 50% CPU usage.
One time when it had this 50% CPU issue, I let it sit overnight, and the export was finished in the morning. The export that time was to a 90MB FLV for posting to the "web" according to the Share wizard. But when I was doing the above (issue #2), it went into the 50% CPU usage but didn't finish after waiting around 2 hours. Even if I were to let it sit that time, and it were to finish, it seems like something's wrong and that this is unacceptable.
When this happens, and PRE7 goes into 50% CPU utilization, there is no pacifier or percentage bar advancing. It usually happens near 100% finished. Only one time did it complete successfully after leaving it unattended at 90% complete for an extraordinary amount of time.
    To recap:
    C:\ hard drive ---> PRE7, my project.
E:\ USB drive ---> 12GB source AVI file and destination for export.
I saw elsewhere on this forum that someone imported a mini-dv captured AVI into Window Movie Maker and then exported it to Mini-DV from that app. This solved that person's problem with hanging during peak file creation. I had the 50% hang issue during peak file generation but I'm not sure it was related to peak file generation. A peak file was generated in a project which, when exported with share as mentioned above, still did the hang 50% CPU issue. Regardless, I will try the import/export/movemaker thing and report back but I've been trying enough things that I wanted to take a second to ask for assistance.
Does anyone have this issue, and is there a patch or fix?
I might be able to provide a user mode dump of the 50% CPU adobe process. There is some call stack information and I'm wondering if developers would want this info if they don't already have a solution/fix to this bug.
    Thanks for any help.

I have some more info on the hang which I've been experiencing during export/share of a project which uses an AVI as its one main clip. Adobe Premiere Elements 7 (PRE7) appears to be hanging because it's looping endlessly in ImporterAVI.prm. I'm wondering if this info can be passed onto Adobe developers and/or if I can submit this information elsewhere for such processing. I also have a process dump file which might be helpful, not to mention the original project files.
I used Process Monitor to help analyze this situation, and prior to PRE7 getting into the endless loop, it appears to be reading from the AVI file little by little, and WMEncodingHelper.exe is writing out little by little to the destination file, both of which I would expect. When PRE7 gets to the end of the import/export, Process Monitor appears to show all the aforementioned disk activity ceasing. I see neither process reading or writing. This would be normal if the share/export procedure had completed. But PRE7 is not complete. It is hung and is operating at 50% CPU utilization.
Far below in this post are technical details which may be helpful to an Adobe developer determine why the importer could get into this endless loop. In those details, there is a jump instruction, "jb ImporterAVI!xImportEntry+0xf32", which will always jump if a particular compare always turns out a certain way. But in my review of the counters being compared, it never will get to a point of exiting. When I modify a flag (the carry flag) to be 0, the loop exits. When I did this, my export/share of my project completed successfully. So it was done, but for some reason, PRE7 was looping and looping in its AVI importor instead of completing the export (aka "Share").
I cannot say that this certainly indicates a bug with PRE7, but it seems to me that there's enough data for Adobe to be at least investigating this particular issue. I'm not the only person who has seen this as there was at least one other message describing the same problem which the user resolved by effectively re-creating the AVI file via a no-op import/export into and out of MovieMaker. My AVI also goes through MovieMaker, import/export, without a hitch.
In a sense, I view PRE7's "share" as essentially an import, processing of imported information (i.e., effects and transitions), and an export. It's an import of all clips into the project at the right times, a processing of all effects, and finally an export to a destination. I realize this is simplistic, but the point I'm making is I have a simple project with a single AVI, and it appears that the "import" portion of PRE7's Share option is choking on the only clip used by this project. I also don't have much but simple transitions and a beginning/ending title on the project, so I'm not thinking this use of PRE7 is much more than what I'm doing with MovieMaker when importing/exporting this AVI.
I fully agree that optimum hardware can be either required or critical for certain types of video editing, but PRE7 is a consumer program and I'm not using anything extensive about it and the symptoms are that PRE7 is looping on its import of a file other programs don't have a problem with. I already tried purchasing a 1TB external, which I'm glad I did, but I really think Adobe developers should look at this issue. There may be a problem with handling certain AVI clips used in a project when those clips come from certain sources. If there is an issue, perhaps it could warrant a fix that would make PRE7 more compatible with these other clips.
Does Adobe have a procedure for people to upload (or mail) projects and files to it so that they can troubleshoot why the importer gets into this state? I also mentioned earlier that I have a full user-mode dump of the process which may be of value to a dev. Can I submit this information anywhere?
    Here are textual technical details:
    Plug-in which loops: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0\Plug-ins\en_US\ImporterAVI.prm
The following are the instructions at the "bottom" of the loop which never ends. Below, I put "***" at the jump instruction I mentioned earler. If I force the carry flag to be 0 at that point, and the jump is skipped, the export completed successfully. Additionally, notice that [esp-0x1c] is 0x2000, and that both eax and edi are 0. When I see it loop, eax stays at 0 and never reaches 0x2000. I wonder if something about the AVI is causing values used by this importer to be such that it causes this endless loop, and if that's the case, and if such values are valid/good, I'm wondering if the importer can be fixed by being able to detect such values so as to not choke (if in fact it's an importer issue).

  • Can't open Adobe Premiere Elements 9

I've had some problems with Adobe Premiere Elements 9 recently, and right now I'm not able to use it. I'm not sure what the problem is really or how to fix it so I'll just write down what has happened here and hopefully someone knows what to do.
A week or so ago my laptop started to crash repeatedly, but fortunately that was solved. But then I noticed that when I opened Adobe Premiere Elements, that's when it crashed and only then. It stopped crashing altogether except for when I opened this program (if it is of any importance I also tried opening Windows Movie Maker to edit there in the meantime but the same thing happened there, which seems strange and kinda random to me). I decided to get an antivirus software and install that and see if that took care of it, which I have now done. That didn't exactly take care of it though. The laptop did stop crashing when opening the Adobe software, but nothing happens once it's opened. The tabs on the top right are there but the whole program is just grey (where you would normally have the timeline on the bottom, video to the left, and the files etc. to the right) and nothing else comes up. I then tried to uninstall Adobe Premiere Elements 9 from my laptop altogether and then re-install it with the CD I still had from purchasing the laptop a couple of years ago. But after re-installing there is no change. Just a grey screen once again, except for the tabs and all that on the top. Now I'm not sure what else to try. It's frustrating as I need this program to work right about now. Does anyone know what to do? Thanks.

  • Error generating movie Adobe Premiere Elements 11

    Hello,
I recently upgraded from Adobe Premiere Elements 8 to 11 (11.0).
My system is Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit, running on Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.5 GHz, 4GB Ram, with 75GB free diskspace.
My input movies are AVCHD 1440x1080 25i video's (MTS files).
Everything is running fine. Editing goes smoothly (even smoother than when I was still using PE8). So in that sense I'm very satisfied and I think my system can handle it well. It doesn't seem to run out of memory, etc.
However, now I want to generate the output movie. The movie is about 10 minutes long and has some music and transitions under it. Previewing the movie goes fine.
I've tried uploading it to Youtube (HD 1440x1080 file). The progress monitor stays at 0% for 5 minutes and then suddenly goes 2 100% in a few seconds and afterwards starts to upload the movie. However, the movie that's actually uploaded contained only the first 4 seconds of the video. When I tried again, it was about 14 sec.
So, then I tried generating movies locally on the PC. I tried:
    Adobe Flash HD 720p.
    MPEG2 HDTV 1080i 25
    MPEG2 PAL DVD Widescreen
and some other formats (can't exactly remember which).
All of them ended with errors: "Error compiling movie", with cause unknown.
So, I haven't been able to generate any movie and I can't find out why it fails.
    Any recommendations?
    Thanks,
    Michiel

These are not specifically for PreElements, but since other Adobe products have the same "core" in many instances, worth reading
As well as the below, right click the program icon and select Run as Administrator, which is NOT the same thing as running the computer with the Administrator account, and which fixes several "odd" problems... To create a two layer DVD (or a BluRay?), you MUST have Encore set to use the Run as Administrator option

    Plus http://forums.adobe.com/thread/562941
Create an ISO (Encore) or folder on your hard drive (Encore or Premiere Elements) and then use the FREE http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to write files or folders or ISO to disc for DVD or BluRay (send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program)
Imgburn will read the ACTUAL disc brand from the disc, which is not always the same as the box label (Memorex is notorious for buying "anything" and putting it inside a Memorex box)
When you write to disc with Imgburn, use the SLOWEST possible speed setting, so your burner has the best chance to create "good, well formed" laser burn holes... since no DVD player is required to read a burned disc, having a "good" one from a high quality blank will help
Use Taiyo Yuden single layer or Verbatim Two layer Or Falcon Pro for inkjet printable Two layer

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 11 in the 'minimize' state "tracks" when moved across screen...

I have finally found time to work on and to learn how to use my recently purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 11 (APE11) and Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, using Adobe’s respective ‘Classroom In A Book’ training aid I recently purchased. To my disappointment when I open Adobe Premiere Elements 11 in the 'minimize' state it “tracks” when I try to move it across the screen, (see images), making it impossible and unacceptable to use. It only happens with APE11 and not with Photoshop, Premiere Organizer, MS Office Suite Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Etc.), or any other programs on my computer. Also, the “tracking” doesn’t happen to a video within the APE11 video working space. I have installed this instance of APE11 twice to no avail using the Adobe defaults. See the added images for the current configuration of my PC and the APE11 version I have. I noticed in APE11’s Properties that I don’t have Compatibility checked-off because I never have had a previous version (see image). I do the Microsoft & Windows 7 updates regularly. This PC was purchased and configured to work on photo and video editing & manipulation, along with my everyday use. [Purchased on 2/22/13 from a reputable company Computer Links, Burlington, NC 27215, 336-226-4738 Invoice# 148599, (Technician: Matt). I am not a computer science person, which is why I relied on Matt to configure my PC. As this appears to be an AEP11 issue I am relying on you to resolve the issue verse Matt. Your support with this is much appreciated.
I had one person kindly suggest "Could you try to update your graphic card drivers, if they are not current"? If I knew how to & where located on PC I would consider it, however I would think it would be current as it was new when PC was purchase 2/22/13 and if it was out-of-date why wouldn't the other programs on the PC also 'track', such as Adobe Photoshop Elements, MS Ofiice Suite programs, etc.? (PS: I thought I posted this in the Adobe Premiere Elements area 5/19/13, apparently I posted it in the "Downloading, Installing, Setting Up" discussions area instead, & didn't see a way to move it?? I started in APE11 Area.)

    ATR and Reese,
It appears Matt solved my issue earlier today and I have been testing it without a failure.
Matt determined it was the Personailization "Themes" I was using. I had the Theme "Windows Classic" selected from the "Basic and High Contrast Themes..." group, and when he changed it to one of the "Aero Themes" the Adobe Premiere Elements "TRACKING" problem went away. He and I are not sure why it works by changing the theme, but it appears to. Using the Aero Theme continues toi allow me to use my own photos for "Desktop Background" and "Screen Saver".
The path to it is via the PC display by right clicking your mouse, select "Personalize", select one of the "Aero Themes" and go from there according to personal taste. See image below:
Note: Something for Adobe to consider going forward, if the above remains a solution. Matt says as I am using Windows 7 I have a selection between Themes, either "Windows Classic" from the "Basic and High Contrast Themes..." group or one of the "Aero Themes" (which resolved my Tracking problem), however Windows 8 did away with the "Aero Themes" and there isn't a choice then what? He isn't sure if there will be a tracking problem or not.
ATM any thoughts on why the above Themes setting would make a difference?
ATM thanks for all your help, along with Matt of Computer Links, Burlington, NC , 336-226-4738. I will update this posting as events occur, both good and bad.
    Cheers and Regards,
    Mike (Ghost1013)

I wouldn't think the graphic card would be out of date as it was part of the 2/22/13 PC purchase, however I don't know how to verify it using Windows 7 to be sure if it is or isn't. If it was the graphic's card, wouldn't the other programs, such as Adobe Photoshop Elements 11, the MS Office Suite Programs, etc., on the PC also 'track'?.

  • How to fix audio  of a video captured from DV output of camcorder using Adobe Premiere Elements 8?

    Hello,
I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 8 about one week ago.  I installed it and everything seem to work well in my first project.  I am new at editing videos but I was succesful in testing it by loading an existing video file in avi format from my computer and then doing some very basic editing (I splitted 2 scenes and added a title).
After my first succesful project (described above) I started a brand new project. Here, I want to capture a one hour video  from the dv output of a video camera. So I connected the camera to the PC and then started adobe elements 8.  Before starting the capture I only checked the boxes that said "capture video" and "capture audio" (the other 2 boxes that said download to timeline and autoanalyze were left unchecked).  After that I started the capture process.
After the video capture was completed, a small window opened at the bottom saying that a PEAK FILE was being generated.    After the peak file generation finished, I looked at the captured video.  The video looked perfect.  However the audio of the video was too fast. By this, I mean that the voices of the people in the movie were like they were speaking at more than twice the normal speed.  Or to explain it in a different way, they sounded like the  chipmunks.
So now I come to the question of this thread I started.  Is there a way that I can fix the audio part of the video I captured?  I will appreciate any help on this. Below I listed a few additional details in case this is needed.
    Thanks,
    ronel_8
PS.  Here are some more details about my system:
    1) Operating System: Windows XP
    2) I am capturing the video on an external drive with 40 GB of available space. The external drive is connected to a PC via a USB connection.
    3) Computer CPU: 2.4 GHZ
    4) Computer RAM: 1.25 GB
    5) Video tape is about one hour long.

    Hello Bill and Steve,
Your responses are very helpful.  Although I was not able to fix the problem yet I do seem to think from what you both say that my system may be too slow to capture the one hour video. In any case I will copy below more details about the system as you requested:
    1) Results from running Gspot:
The audio section of the Gspot window was blank. That is, no information was there.  The File and Container sections say:
    File Size: 12.6 GB
Note: 7.63 GB unneeded bytes at the end of the file
    DV Type1 AVI
    2) I did run the Gspot on another good avi file (captured to the PC with same camcorder) and says:
    Codec PCM Audio
    32kHz 1024 kb/s tot (2 chnls).
I suppose these are the audio settings from the camera.
    3) Yes, I am capturing video from a miniDV camcorder (JVC GR-D70U).
    4) I did not defragment the external drive prior to capturing the video with the audi problem.  So I will give that I try and see if it solves the problem.
    5) The external drive I am using is formatted to NTFS.
    6) The computer is a Dell Dimension 2400, CPU: 2.4 GHZ, RAM: 1.25 GB
    7) HDD Size=74GB and 11 GB of free space.  But I am downloading video to external drive that has 60 GB free space.
One last piece of information that may be useful.  If I open the AVI file (that I captured with Adobe Premiere Elements) with Windows Media Player, the audi sounds good.  However if I open it with Adobe it has the problem I mentioned in my previous e-mail.
    I'll aprreciate any further hints.
    Thanks again,
    ronel_8

  • Unable to launch Adobe Premiere Elements 10 - Says AdPrE10 has stopped working

I downloaded Adobe Premiere Elements and bought a product license via my workplace.
I was able to install successfully, but when I launch the program, it says Premiere Elements 10 has stopped working. I have not been able to launch the program. I was having the same issues when I was using the trial version. Please help,
I need to work on editing videos rightaway and it is ridiculous that a program that I have paid money to buy is not even launching to begin with. I can't even imagine the trouble I am going to have trying to use this version.
Please don't send me thousands of instructions on downloading and installation. I have been able to download and install and added my serial key number. I see the icon on the desktop, It just doesn't launch. See error image.
    Thanks
    VidishaP

I am not looking for sarcasm.
Let's address that for a moment.
I replied to your OP about 8 mins. after it was moved here. Much of that time was gathering the links to those articles, most of which I wrote, and have bookmarked. Each contains several links (one, probably 15 links).
In ~ 30 mins. you report that there was nothing helpful in any of those articles or the ones linked to, from them. Though I wrote the articles (most anyway), it would have taken me that long to read each article, and just open the links, with almost zero time to do any of the things suggested. Just tracking down error and warning messages in Event Viewer, and following the links in any of those, would have taken at least that long.
You state that you had the same issues with the trial version.
I had the same issue when I was trying to use the trial version.
In the world of troubleshooting, this is a pretty fair indicator that there is something wrong with your computer, or your OS. If nothing else, it indicates that a problem existed before your recent installation of PrE.
Now I will have to search for return/exchange options since it is not launching by double clicking like every program does.
Actually, Adobe makes this part very easy. Just return their software, within 30-days of purchase, and you get your money back.
Sorry that I could not help you,
    Hunt

  • Problems with Adobe Premiere Elements 10

I have an old AVI file and I want to change it a little by adding a couple frames to call things out in the video.  I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 10.  When I bring the AVI into Premiere it looks OK but it is very blurry compared to what it looks like when I just run the avi outside of Premier using windows Media Player.  Is there a reason it looks like this and is there anything I can do to make it as clear as the original file?

I don't know what type of AVI file it is, I made this file about 15 years ago.  I'll try and download the Codec later when I get home, what is that going to do?
As soon as I bring the file into Premiere it is blurry in the preview window.  I just changed Playback Quality to Highest and it didn't get any better.  It is blurry as soon as I bring it into Premiere.  I have already re-saved one of the renderings and there were black "splotches" that appeared during some of the video playback.
I went to the EDIT menu/Preferences/General and I can't find any Timeline Rendering Quality setting.  Can you be more specific?
where do I change the Timeline rendered or unrendered at playback in Edit area monitor?
Where do I check to see if the project presets match properties of source media?
It has been a while since I have used Premiere and if you don't use it you lose it.
The way I originally made this file was I saved each individual frame using 3D Studio Max (Release 7ish) and then put the entire thing back together by adding the frames that I wanted from 2 different camera point-of-view.  The video likes pretty good when I run it in any viewer but as soon as I drop it into Premiere to cut it and add a couple frames it gets very blurry right from the start.  I hope this helps.
