Adding video to a picture frame ( jpg image ) masking question

Hi guys,
I have an image of a picture frame, and I want to add some video inside the picture frame, but don't want the video to be seen outside the picture frame.
How would I go about getting the video into the frame ?
I have tried adding the "simple 3D " preset to my footage, and have put the video footage ON TOP of the picture frame later ( a simple jpg )
Is there a correct proceedure to doing this ? or am I on the right track here ?
I also notice one thing, - when I applied the Simple-3D preset, I can do a simple perspective on it.
I applied a 22 degree "swivel" on the video footage, which correctly aligns the TOP of the video with the picture frame, however, the bottom of the video is out of whack slightly.
On the bottom left, the video is perfect ( in the lower left corner of the picture frame ) however, on the right side ( bottom right ) the video is angled too much upward, and so there is a space there, and doesn't look correct.
What do you suggest ?
In photoshop, I would simply cut out the real photo from the picture frame, and put another image UNDER the frame and apply a simple masking to it, and this way it would be perfect, however I don't think this is how we can do it in Premiere ( ? ) I'm fairly certain about this, but could be wrong.
If I am correct, then somehow I need to skew the video slightly ?
Thanks for any suggestions,
Dave.

Hi Jim,
I had the video under the picture frame, but parts of the video are still visible, ( in Photoshop I would simply mask out the area outside the frame, and that's it, it's done, but it seems in Premiere there is no such thing as this type of masking (perhaps ? )
Hi Steven,
I don't understand what you wrote, if I crop either the picture frame or the video, it won't look right. However, if I tweek the video just a tad, it would fit pefectly, however, when I do this to the video, just a portion of it sticks out from the picture frame in one area ( in Photos hop a simple mask would hide this )

  • Video embedded in picture frame on wal

    Need advise on which After Effect plugin to use which will enable video to be embedded into a picture frame on a wall where the frame and the video would get larger or smaller depending if you walk towards or away from the object.
    I am trying to create a video montage using after effects and adobe premier pro.  I am trying to create the effect of walking down a hallway and having video clips of a person life  a picture frames on the walls on each side of the hallway.  As you walk towards each picture frame, the frame would get larger and the video clip inside would get larger as well.   In order to accomplish this, I thought that I needed to take video walking down a long hallway panning the camera from side to side.  I would then use after effects to create a picture frame and insert it into the video.  I want that frame to increase or decrease in size depending upon if I am walking to or from it.  I also want the video insert to also increase or decrease in size the same time as the picture frame.  My question is, can I do all this using Adobe After Effects?  If so how?  If not, is there a 3rd party plugin for After Effects that will allow me to create this effect.

    You have the tool you need: After Effects.  But there is no way to give you a step-by-step description of what you need to do in a simple forum post.
    There are no plugins that will do this task for you.  You have to learn the application -- you can't just jump in and start creating.  You'll fail.  People have tried to do that, and they've eventually done what almost every AE user has to do.
    They start from Square One:
    Getting started with After Effects (CS4, CS5, CS5.5,  CS6, & CC)

  • Adding color to a picture frame

    I am brand new to Macs, and I have been checking out iworks. I am working on a blank page layout. I have added text boxes, and a photo from my gallery. I want to frame the photo, and have figured out how, using the inspector. What I can't figure out how to do is how to add color to the frame. Can anyone help me out?

    Hi Farmer Matt
    Welcome to the forum.
    fruhulda has shown how to change the color of simple strokes, however there are some frames you can not color change. Only "line" strokes can be changed, pdf files, jpegs, Photoshop and Pages' Picture Frames can not be changed.
    Check whether the frame/stroke you have in your file is a graphic or not by selecting it:
    +Inspector > Metrics > File Info+

  • Digital Picture Frame- Some images are saying "Not Support"

    Hello there, I recently purchased the Digital Picture Frame (DPF 10") for a gift. As I was setting it up by placing some photos on it with my USB drive. Some of the photos worked, while the others had a black screen that said "Not Support". I read some past forums on this issue, but it doesn't aid me. I was wondering if it is the size of the photo, the format of the photo, or even my laptop since its been holding these photos. Please and thank you.

    i,
    Please put the USB stick to you laptop and check them to see which format they are ? Many picture frames only support one or two formats.
    Regards.

  • I want to play a video within a picture frame (kind of like picture in picture with perspective)

    Hi,
    i'll try to describe what i'm trying to do.
    I want to slowly zoom in on an empty desk.  The desk does have a picture frame, with a child in a soccer uniform.  As the camera zooms in, the child starts to move within the frame, as if the picture came alive.
    I can do picture in picture, but I need have the smaller picture (with the child), look as if it is in the frame, which is being zoomed into.
    Help...........

    Please take a look at my blog post PE: Perspective Effects and then let me know if any of those techniques would work for you.
    http://www.atr935.blogspot.com/2013/08/pe-perspective-effects_4.html
    Then we can talk specifics starting with version of Premiere Elements you are using and the computer operating system on which
    it is running.
    Thanks.

  • HELP!! NEWBIE - Dynamically load jpg images - NEWBIE Question.

    Newbie here.
    Im currently making a flash website. and trying to make it as light as possible.
    so decided to load images dynamically.
    Im using UILoaders.
    I drag the UILoader from components into the main timeline and set the source as 1.jpg, because the image is in the same folder as the .fla file.
    and scale - false
    Tested the movie but nothing shows up. i guess i need some coding? but i dont know where to add the codes. on the same frame? or in frame 1?
    i also need the image to fade-in.
    the end result im looking for is, as i click a button. 3 images show up at the same time, fading in.
    Help, greatly appreciated.
    and thanks in advance

    thanks your the reply,
    the source is set to 1.jpg i put a image file named 1.jpg into the same as the fla. and swf and everything.
    the UILoader is visible in frame 55 or so. and as i click a button the pic is suppose to show , but it doesnt??
    the jpg is also non-progressive..
    any idea why its not working?

  • Loading frames before images (preloader question)

    I've got an .swf of which is 83% images and weighs ~4mb.
    For that big size I decided I would do an preloader, however, the preloader's frame will only load after images and other resources are loaded.
    Basically, the preloader will only appear after 83% of that .swf is loaded, which leaves the white screen for a big time, and only then displays the preloader.
    In even simpler words, I want to set the loading priority of something(a resource? a scene? a frame?), or, load only a single frame and then let that frame load the rest.
    Please point out if you didn't understand what I mean.

    No, I'm using Flash CS5.5. Maybe it was fault of my interpretation.
    I'm currently editing a .fla file, not an .swf. This .fla file has two scenes, whose the first is used for the preloader, which will skip to the next scene when the movie is loaded.
    If that is revelant, here is the code of the preloader:
    var total:Number;
    var loaded:Number;
    this.onEnterFrame = function()
    total = _root.getBytesTotal();
    loaded = _root.getBytesLoaded();
    if(loaded >= total){
    delete(onEnterFrame);
    nextScene();
    _root.ppl = (Math.floor((loaded/total)*100)).toString() + "%";
    stop();
    "ppl" is the variable which holds the contents of an dynamic text which shows the percentage.

  • Has adding video to a photo journal been disabled?

    I have been using iPhoto Journals on my iPhone 4s since iPhoto was released.  Everything on my iPhone is updated (iPhoto and iOS).  I was previously able to publish journals to iCloud that had a video in them but now this seems to be disabled.  I can still add the video to my journal on my phone and have it play within the journal there but when I publish to iCloud the journal video doesn't work.  It treats the video like an image.  The same is true for the folder of files exported to iTunes - the vidoe is there but when the journal is viewed in a browser the video doesn't work.
    The quirky thing is I tried re-exporting a previous journal to itunes that had a video in it and had previously played properly in iCloud and when the files were loaded into a web browser, however the new export of the exact same unchanged journal doesn't work in iCloud or when the exported itunes folder is loaded in a web browser (tried Safari, Firefox, and Chrome).  The video file is still there but something is being changed and the video no longer gets linked, just an image from the video.
    What's going on here?  Is this a bug?  Is there anyway to downgrade the iPhoto app on my phone so that I can get the video functionality back?
    Chris
    P.S.  I have read other threads on this issue and have tried the suggestion to delete the documents & Data for iphoto in my iCloud account and this did not work.

  • Why does a fine JPG image turn grainy when uploaded online? Is my browser missing something?

    My "picture-perfect" JPG images become grainy or coarse when I upload them to imageshack.us, yahoo, etc.

    If Firefox also saves the images in low quality then you may have an ISP that sends the images compressed in lower quality to speed up the page loading.
    If you want to see the original image quality all the time then you need to contact your ISP and ask what to do to opt-out of that service or see if there is a FAQ about it on the web page of your ISP.

  • Different image masks have invisible link?

    I have had a few times now that when I apply an image for the mask to an image mask filter (Video Filters/Matte/Image Mask) in FCS2, another image mask filter (at the same time position but in an other video track) suddenly adopts that same image mask, while it was supposed to use another mask. If I then go to that other mask and re-adjust its image mask, the first filter swaps to that image too....
    One time it was so bad that I had to remove the two image mask filter from the videos twice and replace it with a fresh image mask filter before this unwanted crosstalk between the two masks disappeared.
    Am I missing something, is this normal behaviour?

    Hi Aishvarya
    Q.1. How have you placed the images in the gallery? Did you use the Add Image option from the slideshow wizard or did you copy and paste the images in the gallery?
    A.1. With the initial gallery on the first gallery page I loaded the images via the slideshow wizzard, then I copied the entire widget, containing those images, three times onto each of the three remaining gallery pages in tern.
    Q.2. If you have published the site, please provide us the site URL.
    A.2. I haven't published the site yet as it's unfinished however I can do this for you if you need to see what I have done so far. Is this something you need me to do?
    What I need to know is how I can build a completely sepperate gallery containing images unique to that gallery on each of four pages. I'm gathering by the first question that I would need to place the gallery widget from the widget gallery on each of the four pages sepperately and in tern.
    Thanks

  • How do I Add a Picture Frame Around a Flash Video?

    I tried searching for this but "frame" has too many meanings. I have flv videos inserted in several web pages, but they look dull without some sort of fancy border or frame around them. Maybe a picture frame. Maybe the image of a flat screen TV surrounding the image. But how do I add the image "behind" the video so that the video sits perfectly inside the image, regardless of the monitor viewing the image.

    Do a google search for the IE PNG Fix javascript.  Some work better than others.  The one you had didn't work at all for PNG backgrounds in pre-IE7.
    Copy and Paste the following document into a new blank page and see how it looks in all the major browsers.  I changed your document type to XHTML transitional and replaced deprecated <div align> tags with inline CSS styles.  I also ran your Flash code through http://validifyer.com to make it XHTML compliant.

  • How to time stretch a picture frame (not video) that I have panned and zoomed in Premiere Elements 11?

    Previously used Premiere elements 11 and could zoom in on a picture frame, but also Time stretch it, so the zoom would be slow.  Cannot figure out how to do this in Premiere elements 11.  When I have applied the zoom, but go to right click on the picture frame, it does not allow me to change the time.  It stays on 100.  It will only allow me to change actual video clips.  Does anyone know how to really slow down the zoom on a picture frame, or a way to use the Time stretch like I could do in Elements 7?  Thanks!

    jshook525
    I do confirm your observation on the Time Stretch Speed %/Duration available fields for a still in Premiere Elements 7 vs 11 Presets Horizontal 640 x 480 Zoom In.
    If you want to go with Presets rather than manual keyframing of Scale property in Motion Panel expanded, then...
    1. Given your 5 second still on the Timeline.
    2. Drag the fx Effect Horizontal Image Zoom/640 x 480 Zoom In into the 5 second still on Video Track.
    When you do that two Scale keyframes are automatically placed at the beginning and end of the  5 second clip.
    3. Change the duration of the clip, with one of the following
    a. click and drag to the right the right edge of the clip to increase its duration
    or
    b. right click the clip, select Time Stretch, and set the duration to the increased value....if you had been in 7 the Speed% = 50,
    then the duration you would find is 10 seconds (00;00;10;00). Here no Speed% visible opportunity, just set the duration = 00;00;10;00.
    c. go to Applied Effects Tab/Applied Effects Palette/Motion Panel expanded, and move the 2nd Scale Keyframe to the the right. In this
    example at the 10 second mark, the new duration of the clip.
    "Presets" has its limitation - pan or zoom instead of pan and zoom, and other. In what needs to be done here, it probably would have been quicker
    just to do the Scale keyframing yourself in Motion Panel expanded with the Toggle Animation technique Scale (for Zoom) and Position (for Pan).
    There is more to all this, but for now let me know if any of the above could get your through to your goal.
    Thanks

  • How to change "Object Causes Wrap" and a "Picture Frame" as a default properties when importing images in Autor

    When I place images in iBook Author, they are automatically assigned these properties: "Object Causes Wrap" and a "Picture Frame" stroke.
    I don't want that and couldn't find where can I change it in the Preferences. Anyone has an idea?

    I've sent a feature request for a new version of Author:
    When I place images in iBook Author, they are automatically assigned these properties: "Object Causes Wrap" and a "Picture Frame" stroke.
    It would be great if I could be able to change it in the Preferences to "No wrap" and "No Frame" so I don't have to manually adjust every single image of my book - there are lots of them.
    It would be really nice if Author implements "Layer's" concept like almost all graphic programs like Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, etc.

  • Images with Picture Frame stroke not printing?

    Does anyone have a known solution to an issue in which an image with a stroke of "Picture Frame" applied will not print?
    More details...
    - Created pages document (originally in '08 version of Pages, then upgraded to Pages '09 to see if that fixed it -- it did not)
    - Printed document in both both Pages version. All assets within document printed correctly with exception of photos that have stroke of "Picture Frame" applied.
    - Printed to PDF. Opened and printed from Preview. Again, all assets within document printed correctly with exception of photos with stroke of "Picture Frame."
    - Tried modifying print settings to "fit in page" as well as color correction. Same symptoms applied.
    - One solution (that's not the desired behavior but should be acknowledged) -- removing stroke allows images to print.
    Other:
    - Problem is reproducible across both versions of pages.
    - Problem may be same as seen in other searches found here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3005994?start=0&tstart=0 & here: http://forums.cnet.com/7723-21571_102-378574/pages-09-printing-problem/ & here: http://www.mac-forums.com/forums/images-graphic-design-digital-photography/23980 6-framed-pictures-wont-print-iwork-pages.html
    Set-up:
    - iMac running 10.7.3
    - Started with iWork '08, updated to Pages '09
    - HP LaserJet CP1025nw
    Any advice much appreciated!

    Thanks for all your help, fruhulda.
    Tried:
    deleting plist
    uninstalling Pages
    trying a different account
    updating firmware
    trying a different printer
    The only thing that works -- which also worked for you -- was something other than this printer. And even with a firmware update, it's not working.
    I'd say this is an HP CP1025nw problem, which kind of hurts given it's a newer printer for us.
    Suppose it's best to consider this closed and unsolved.
