Adding 'Z' infotype to ESS

Hi Experts,
It would be great if you can guide me on a way to include a 'Z' infotype as a link in ESS.
A step by step explanation would be of great help as we dont have any strong ABAP WebDynpro support.
Regards
Kruna

Hi,
Yes its right you need to create the "Z" services and create the i_vew as same as your "Z" infotype.
get info form following

  • Issue in custom subscreen added in infotype 0021

    Hi experts,
Im doing the enhancement in infotype 0021. I have added some custom fields (custom subscreen) in  IT0021. Those fields (text boxes) are grouped inside a group (Box) in SE51.
Now my issue is that when i see the custom subscreen in Change mode in PA30 transaction, it is getting displayed in enable mode. But when i see in Disable mode, still those text boxes are shown in enable mode. Actually those need to be shown in Disable mode , when i see in Display mode in PA30.
pls tell me how to achieve the same.
    Regards,
    Shanthi

  • Adding Custom Infotype to a Infoset

    Hi,
I have created a Custom Infotype for OM with some custom fields. These fields need to be made available to the Infoset for Adhoc Query.
Any idea how this infotype can be added to the infoset?
    or made available for Queries.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

Here are the steps that I followed:
    Enter the transaction code PPCI
Enter a four digit infotype number (9nnn) and an infotype name.
    Select Field Infotype
    Choose Infotype Create.
Choose Check environment to maintain the required entry in table T777I (Infotypes per object type).
Choose the Entry 'T777I' under the list of 'Table Entries' (This list is produced when you choose 'Check' on the First screen of the Transaction PPCI.
Press the 'Change' button and you will be taken to the 'Maintain Table Views' Transaction (SM30).
    Press the Maintain button.
From the list of Infotypes locate the custom infotype created and select the entry for that.
Click on the 'Time Constraint' folder appearing on the left hand corner of the screen.
The screen for Change View Time Constraint would appear.
In the object type field put in: O,P,S whatever is relevant to your requirement. Also add the time constraint.
Save it and double click on the 'Infotypes per object type' folder (on the left hand side again).
Create a new entry here for your infotype and save it.
Come back to the Transaction PPCI and you are all set.
This is all I did and it worked.
    Thanks,
    Vijay

  • Adding image to standard ESS application

    Hi all,
We have a requirement to add a help link that opens up an image in the standard bank info application in ESS.
    Is this possible?
If yes, how do we go about adding the image through NWDS?
We did some settings in NWDS to get the image, but it does not open in the portal.
Also, we dont see a component path on expanding component in src--->mimes.
    TIA!

    Hi,
Try using the IFrame UI element which can display any 3rd party content on click of a button or Link to action. Place the picture in the src/mimes folder of ur project.
Try creating ur own package for storing the photo under the src/mimes folder

  • Adding Standard Infotype fields to Custom Infotype

    Hi,
I have a Requirement where I've created a Custom Infotype. Now, client needs to add Standard KOSTL and Email Address fileds to it. Whenever, someone tries to create / change this Custom Infotype for any Employee, the Pernr's  KOSTL and Email Address should get populated automatically as in Standard Infotypes 0001 and 0105.
Please guide me, how to achieve this functionality.
    Regards,
    Hems.

    Hi Salman,
Thank you for your valuable information. I haven't Configured Dynamic Actions yet. Is it simple to write the Logic for Dynamic Actions. Is this the only way to solve this Issue?
I tried by adding the standard fields, but they are not populating the values; but just appearing as Input Fields with Input help option.
Please let me know if you have any suggestion in this direction?
    Regards,
    Hems.

  • How to view infotype in ESS?

    Hi all,
We are using SAP EP 6.0,my SAP ERP ESS 60.2. I would like to know how to get the infotype view in ESS. We would like to know how to get the view of a custom infotype in the personnel information section of ESS. We have created a transactional iview(PA20)and we would like to see only the infotype screen 2000 view instead of PA20 initial screen.
Our requirement is that, we should only be able to get the infotype details <b>of the employee who has logged in</b> and not any other employees.
    Awaiting your valuable inputs!!
    Regards,
    Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,
GO to PFCG transaction and look for SAP ESS role in R/3. Add the custom infotype no in the role.
For viewing only the particular user data in the portal, you have to maintain user mapping.
For this logon to portal and go to user administration -> Usermapping. Enter the portal user in the search box and choose user from the dropdown list and select go. The user is displayed. After this select the user and choose the R/3 system from the dropdown list and enter the ESS user name and password in the input box provided and save data.
Now when you logon with the portal user you will be able to view only the mapped user data alone and not other pernr details.
    Regards
    Arun

  • Adding read infotype records to payroll

    Dear ,
i 've used the code mentioned in this link to read the infotype records .
Use SAP defined methods instead of Logical Database(LDB)
now i want to add this record to the tree in the payroll . could u plz tell me how to add it to a node in the additional payment tree node.
    Edited by: Kathy_Adam on May 22, 2010 3:40 PM

    Hi,
    1. Create new payroll function code in payroll driver exist. Starts with FU<custom name>.
    2. Create new function via PE04 with custome name.
    3. Add custom function to payroll schema.
Custom name should start with special character, e.g. %, &, :, etc.
User exit is special for every country driver, check payroll driver program and figure out its name.
    Cheers

  • Adding Additional Columns in ESS Leave Request iview ( EP 7.0)

    Hi,
I have a requirement to add some additional fields to the Leave Request Iview. Can any one suggest me  the best possible solution  to add the fields 'Processed by' and 'Approved Date' to the iview?
    Thanks in Advance,
    VR.

    Hi,
You can personalize Web Dynpro iViews. I have explained this in another topic (2nd post) : [Re: Remove colums in WD MSS teamviewer].
And the wiki contains useful information : [ESS Personal Information UI enhancement without modification|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/profile/ESSPersonalInformationUIenhancementwithoutmodification].
If it is the Universal Work List iView you want to modify, you'll have to modify the UWL configuration.

    Hi Srini,
Are you talking about having created a Payroll Area or a Personal Area in SPRO?

  • Communication infotype in ESS

    Hi Experts,
I want to call IT 105 subtype 0010 mail id. (which has time constraint 2). When i add this in personal data, i have option to create/change/display. Now my requirement is that this should be only in display mode. I have controlled that thro EP and now its only in display mode. But a  New button always appears at top " Mail ID". Is ther any way to remove this.
FYI: when i config in ECC - personal profile, the system pops up saying " New button always available on overview screen". This is mandate if infotype time constraint is 3. If i change the time constraint to 2, it is throwing error.
    Pls guide.
