Addition plug-ins for Dictionary Application

Dear list members,
I do a lot of translating work on my Mac, and I noticed that in Tiger that there is this Dictionary Application which is quite useful. However, it is also very limited as it only contains English. Do the other localizations of Mac OS contain dictionaries for other languages ?
If so, can one download them ?
I noticed that the dictionaries are in the following folder:
/Library/Dictionaries
They are packages that contain several files, obviously indexes and content as well as some images.
Is there any documentation on how to create a dictionary plug-in ? Have third-party developers made dictionaries for this Application?
This is something that would be very useful for anyone who does any writing. For instance, I can look up words in Nisus Express without leaving the application. I would save hours paging through paper translation dictionaries and the various on-line dictionaries if this could be done in the same application.
Yes, I have tried Ultralingua, but it is not all that integrated in the OS, and what is worse is that there is no dictionary for Russian or Polish. If there was some kind of documentation for how to create these dictionaries I could piece together an opensource dictionary to put into this application.
Perhaps some of you have other ideas ?

I am new to Forms. When I tried to run the Form, it was saying like "additional plug ins required to display the content." But I have all the plug ins required.

I will assume you are using a non-IE browser (e.g. Firefox). Assuming this is true, the problem you are seeing is the result of the configuraiton expecting to find 1.6.0_12. Look in formsweb.cfg for references to 1.6.0_12 and change them to the desired version. For example, replace the current with these in order to use 1.6.0_29:

Tried to Download additional plug-ins for CS4 but having problems.

I just found out that CS4 doesn't have the extract filter, so I went to this link to download additional plug-ins:

I downloaded it, but I'm having trouble installing it. The instructions tell me to "navigate to the application
folder, double-click Setup, and then follow the on-screen instructions" but there's not application folder or Setup. I also tried opening the download, selecting English>Googies>Optional Plug-Ins>Filters>Extractplus.plugin, but it says "cannot complete your request because Photoshop does not recognize this type of file."
I'm at a complete loss here. All I want is the Extract Filter. I've tried 2 different downloads, both to no avail. Please help!

The only document you need to read is the "OptionalPluginsReadMe.pdf" in the Goodies/Optional plug-ins folder on your mounted diskimage of your downloaded.
Here you'll find all the instructions on where to put the files.

Anyone know where can I get additional plug-ins for iMovie09? iMovie09 only comes with 6 templates. After using it for awhile, it gets a bit predictable.

I don't think there is any plugins available for iMovie 09.
Maybe you can install iMovie 06, there are tons of plugins for iMovie 06.
Other than that, I too agree with you, the templates in iMovie 09 are limited and after a while it gets stale & bored. On that note, anyone know why Apple does not allow plugins to be made available for iMovie 09 ?

Installing Optional Plug-ins for Photoshop CS5

I have downloaded the Optional Plug-ins for Photoshop CS5 but when I double click on the zxp file I get a message:
"There is no application set to open the document “CS5 Optional Automate Plug-ins.zxp”.
I have tried selecting "choose application" in the same message window and navigating to Applications>Utilities>Adobe Installers but the only option there is greyed out.
I am using Mac OS 10.6.8.
Any suggestions appreciated!

Cycore FX plug-ins for After Effects 7

I'm having some issues finding the Cycore FX plug-ins for After Effects 7 (I know, it's old )
Using Windows 7 x64. The original discs were installed on an older OS, and have since been lost. AE 7 has been downloaded from the Adobe web site, but there are no additional resources/folders with the plug-ins to be found...any ideas???

It's strange that Adobe don't have the Cycore plug-ins available at the point of download. (It would make things so civilized.)

Addition plug-ins to run Oracle Forms

Hey all, I am trying to run forms that I have created but when it tries to bring it up in Mozilla I am getting a message saying additional plug-ins needed to run page. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what it would be looking for?

Downloading plug-ins for windows media player

i'm a brand new mac user -- bought a macbook less than 24 hours ago. i have not been able to trouble shoot installing plug-ins for windows media player. if anyone can advise, i would be most appreciative.

Windows Media Player for Mac was discontinued more than a year ago by Microsoft. They recommend using the free Flip4Mac player <http://www.microsoft.com/mac/otherproducts/otherproducts.aspx?pid=windowsmedia >.
A good addition to your arsenal of media players would also be the stand-alone VLC Media Player <http://www.videolan.org/vlc/>. It's a Swiss Army Knife of media players.

Hello Everyone,
In our R/3 landscape,we have several z-transactions enabled for various PLM solutions like DMS,ECM etc.
Assuming we make an upgrade to PLM 7.01,is there any possibility of developing these z-transactions as plug-ins for 7.01 web UI? If yes,how? Was wondering incase someone has worked upon requirement of this nature.Thoughts, opinions on this will be appreciated.

You need to develop them in web dynpro, with some recommendations ideas.
The whole of PLM 7.x are floorplan managed based abap web dynpro applications. Depending on your z-transactions, you can either recreate them as configurations (if your z-ones are simplifications).
If they are completely new screens, then you as a minimum will need to create new UI for your backend functionality.

Plug-Ins for Safari and Firefox

I'm a new MAC owner (as of last week as a matter of fact) so bear with me.......
I had to download Firefox since I got the message that Safari didn't support the new Yahoo Mail Beta.
Then I decided to check out my MACBook Pro's video capabilities by going to the CBS web page to watch The Unit (go to http://www.cbs.com/ and click 'Full Episodes'.....)
I got the following error:
The page “CBS.com - Innertube” has content of MIME type “audio/x-pn-realaudio-plugin”. Because you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type, this content can’t be displayed.
Can anyone help me find the appropriate plug-in? What additional plug-ins should I install while I'm at it (Active-X, Java, etc.)?
BTW, I get an error with Firefox as well telling me that additional plug-ins are required, but the automatic (Firefox) search tells me that no suitable plug-ins were found.

Wow, I had no idea it would be that simple.
Normally with my PC, if an update was needed the error message would instruct to download the newest version of Flash, Real, etc.
I figured with the cryptic error message I got from Firefox and Safari that I needed some 'plug-in.'

You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

It seems like the room you are in might be adding it's "sound" and making your vocal sound like it is going through a tunnel,or "hollow" sounding.
Where are you doing your vocal recording? When you sing,do you hear your voice come back at you funny,like from a wall,or like you hear a faint "echo" or repeat in the room?
I could help you,but without actually listening what you are talking about it is almost impossible to know what problems you might be encountering,and also if you can point to a reference CD or artist that you are trying to sound like,I can't really give you concise advise as to what to do to get you there.Do you have any way of showing us some of the sound you are getting so we can listen to it? That can help a lot more than describing in words what you are not liking about your voacl sound.Again a lot of this is subjective use of language,so when you say "hollow sound" it could mean something else to me.
And as to the radio quality - I mean sound more round
and defined - someting that I could send to radio
and/or AR.
Well,I think you are putting the cart ahead of the horse here...try to get your sound "there" to where you like it first,before trying to be judged by "radio and A&R" people.
I am not sure how I can improve:
- better/additional hardware or
- better mastering/playing with software (I have IK
studio bundle - that I have only utilized so far as
sound source).
I am willing to spend additional $1000 if needed but
rather not.
I think you do not need to throw money at the problem...that never usually works.It is better to understand what sound you want to get first,and then try to get there.
I'll listen to what you have posted,but if you can have a link to a vocal without ANY processing,i.e. as you record it in your usual place,that would help more than a full mix of your music.I can tell easier what to do if your vocal is by itself.

Does anybody have any sources for good "Lower Third" plug-ins for Final Cut Studio?

Why deny yourself the joy and pleasure to create your own,
It is far easier and faster than it may sound. Use a combination of applications like Motion, FCP, AE, Photoshop etc.
Use the tools don't make them use you. Manuals, the forums and a few selected tutorials can help you if you feel not confident with any of the software mentioned, but if you are passioned enough there's nothing more rewarding that learning while nurturing your creativity.
Just thought you may want to consider that as an option,
