Additional basis tcodes  in ecc6.0 compared to 4.5b

Hi all,
Can you please help me with the additional or obselete basis tcodes in ecc6.0 sompared to 4.5b?
regards,
Anupama

All the enhancements in the t-codes are taken care by sap in the latest version and as a result it provides a note on the execution of the legacy t-code...
I can give you a example of one t-code-- diff 4.7 to ecc 6.0
J2IU is obselete & only J2IUN is adviced... and supported by sap in ECC 6.0
So its better to use solution browser to find the enhancements from ur legacy to target wherein only the functional enhancements are listed...

  • Mass role creation and addition of tcodes to role menu

    Hi Folks,
We've a requirement of building 1000's of single roles for an implementation. Our security matrix is ready with the role names and the list of tcodes to be embedded in each of these roles. What I would like to know is if we can automate a part of the process of role building i.e the following 3 steps only.
    1. Creation of the Role
    2. Addition of the tcodes in the role menu
    3. Save
I'm aware of Ecatt/LSMW through which we can create the roles but i'm not sure if we can add the tcodes to the menu of the roles since the number of tcodes to be populated in each role will vary.
Could anyone of you shed some light if it is possible to automate the addition of  tcodes to the role menu taking into consideration that each role will have different number of tcodes to be added to the menu and what's the best possible way to achieve this if there exists one.
Thanks in advance for your time and suggestions!
    Guest...

Whilst I agree that there are probably too many roles being built here, which is more of an issue with the role design / strategy, the issue of how to easily create a role for a given list of transactions is something that SAP supports via the import menu from text file option in PFCG.
Yes you may need to write a script to cycle through all the possible role names, but we have recently had to build some roles based on actual usage, so exported transaction usage history to excel and then formatted the transactions into text files that could be imported to build the role menu.
You will still then need to ensure any object authorisation object have the correct values set - i.e. not just starred in - but as one of the pains in build a role is getting the menu to look reasonable, I'd suggest having a look at this approach.
Copy Menus -> Import from File is the function in PFCG in the menu tab for the role you are building
OSS note 389675 has details of what the text file of transactions for the menu should look like.
That should answer the question posed, rather than criticising the role design being followed.

hi,thanks for reply "you should not care about the transaction start s_tcode at all - only check the object required"
It has made manditory policy to check for users and roles every month with given criteria of Tcode and object, now i have been given the task to check the combination of Tcode and object value combination are correct or not, please validate the combinations and suggest,we are using ECC 5.0,i had gone through wild card use (#) when we check in SUIM,i am getting confused that when i give # followed by value, data i am getting different from without #.please provide an example for SE16 with S_TABU_DIS
    how to check?
i am checking in this way
    S_TCODE       SE16
    S_TABU_DIS
    Activity
    Value  01or 02

  • Additional functions in ECC 6.0 compared to 4.6C

    Guys,
What are the additional features that we have in ECC6.0 when compared to SAP Is-Oil solution of 4.6c.

    Hi All,
How will I know whether I'm in User view or in Technical view?
I have SAP_ALL access and still I'm not able to find the 'Change work item' option in SBWP.
How can an Administrator logically delete a work item? I didn't find any options for logically deleting in transaction SWIA either..! Is there any other way to do this?
    Thank you,
    Renu

  • HT4260 Does this setup assume each additional base station remains connected to the primary by ethernet?

I have 1 x Time Capsule + 1 x Extreme + 3 x Express which I would like to connect in a roaming network. The TC is connected to the internet directly through ethernet (my house is ethernet wired). The remaining base stations should all connect to the same network created by the primary base Time Capsule (same name and password), but not wired back to the Time Capsukle but through the ethernet ports in each room. However I can't get this to work.
Any suggestions as maybe I am missing something here?
    Thanks P

For a roaming network to work, all of the base stations need to be connected back to the Time Capsule (in this case) by Ethernet. So, one configuration would be to connect an Ethernet drop cable between the LAN port on the TC and an Ethernet switch or switch panel. From there Ethernet would run to various locations in the house. At any of these runs, you would connect a base station ... so that all base stations are on the same subnet as the TC.
The key is that the primary router must be connected to the Internet modem and all other routers reconfigured as bridges. Please check out the following Apple Support article for additional details on configuring a roaming network.

  • What are the additional steps for SRM refresh as compared to ECC refresh? (Windows and MS SQL)

    Hi,
I need to know if there are any additional pre steps or post steps for SAP SRM system refresh as compared to SAP ECC refresh? Windows/MS SQL

    Hello Rajat,
You have to change all the data on the middleware configuration tables to point to your new ECC system. I don't remember exactly which tables are but you can take a look to this:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/309258e9-0da2-2d10-b598-bf27edb56a31?overridelayout=t…
It explains how to do the Middleware Configuration between SRM and ECC. You should also do a master data transfer from ECC to SRM.
    Best regards.

    Hi Guru,
I have installed an ECC6.0 system. When my developers are trying to create any test cases through scat tcode in the next screen the CATT button is not coming as active. We have a huge amout of master data to be uploaded.
We have a Ecc6.0 system with the latest kernel.
I have check the client setting and ecatt is allowed on the client.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this error.?

    This issue has been resolved.
We had opened a OSS message and sap came back replying that scat has been discontinued due to some critical bug from new  edition of SAP.
We can now secatt or ecatt now.
    hope it helps.

  • Simple How-To # 1: Adding additional base stations

    That's all I need. A series of simple, step-by-step 'how-to's'.
I've been using Macs for almost 20 years, but find the instruction manual and software for the new Airport Utility [AEBSn device] to be particularly unhelpful.
I need to add an AX to extend the range of my network [and be able to use my brand-new printer]. The software seems to be instructing me to, "change base stations"? Why? The older Airport Admin Utility [supplied with AX's] did not use such counter-intuitive instructions and was much simpler to set up multiple base stations. What gives Apple?
Give it to me simple Apple, my brain cells aren't getting any brighter! Is there anyone out there that can post simple step-by-step instructions? I'm sure I won't be the only one appreciating that kind gesture.
    Anyone?

    AEBSn - WDS Setup
(Note: To facilitate the WDS set up, place the base stations within near proximity of each other during the set up phase, and then relocate them to their desired locations when complete.)
    Main Base Station Setup (AEBSn)
    - Click the AirPort status menu in the menu bar and choose the wireless network created by the base station you want to set up as the main base station.
    - Open AirPort Utility (located in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder on a Macintosh computer, or in Start > All Programs > AirPort on a computer using Windows).
    - Select the main base station, and choose Manual Setup from the Base
Station menu, or double-click the base station to open the configuration in a separate window.
    - Enter the base station password if necessary. If the base station is using the
default password of public, you will not be prompted for a password.
    - Click Wireless in the toolbar, and then choose “Participate in a WDS network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu.
    - Click WDS and then choose “WDS main” from the WDS Mode pop-up menu.
    - Select the “Allow wireless clients” checkbox if you want client computer to connect to this base station.
    - Click the Add button and enter the MAC address of the base stations you want to connect to this base station.
    - Click Update to send the new settings to the base stations in the WDS.
    Remote Base Station Setup (AX)
    - Click the AirPort status menu in the menu bar and choose the wireless network created by the base station you want to set up as a remote base station.
    - Open AirPort Utility (in the Utilities folder in the Applications folder on a Macintosh computer, or in Start > All Programs > AirPort on a computer using Windows).
    - Select the remote base station, and choose Manual Setup from the Base Station menu.
    - Enter the base station password, if necessary. If the base station is using the default password of public, you will not be prompted for a password.
    - Enter the same network password as the main base station, if necessary.
    - Click AirPort in the toolbar and click Wireless. Choose “Participate in a WDS network” from the Wireless Mode pop-up menu, and choose the same channel as the main base station from the Channel pop-up menu.
    - Click WDS and choose “WDS remote” from the pop-up menu.
    - Enter the MAC address of the main base station in the WDS Main field. The MAC address is also referred to as the AirPort ID and is printed on the label on the bottom of the base station.
    - Click Update to transfer the settings to the base station.

  • GL account balance display(tcodes) in ECC6.0

    Hi friends,
what trasaction codes helpful for validating GL account balances(debit, credit, balance, cumulative balances) in ECC6.0 as BW consultant brought P&L and Balance sheet figs.
    Thanks,
    Naresh

    Hi friends,
I'm using fs10n, for some of the P&L components(manufactring expeses) for 2 or 3 periods, mismathcing occurs at debit & balances level(fs10n figs vs DSO data).
Does anyone faces problem like fs10n giving wrong results? where as extractor(rsa3: 0fi_gl_4) debit & balances are different from fs10n results.
which one is best way, extracted data(gl balances) in DSO be validated against extractor data or fs10n/FAGLB03 data?
    thanks,

  • New tcodes in ECC 6.0 for obsolete tcodes in 4.6C

We are doing security upgrade from 4.6C to ECC 6.0.
There are some tcodes have been deleted in ECC 6.0, but I don't which new tcodes will replace them.
I am looking for the new tcodes in ECC 6.0 for list of tcodes in 4.6C (below) which have been deleted in ECC 6.0:
    AL02, AL08, AL10, AL18, AL21, AL22, CN90, CN92, CN94, KSRP, SAPSAP_IA,
    SB02, SO80, ST08, S_P9C_18000155, S_P9C_18000155
Note:  i verify the table PRGN_CORR2 in ECC 6.0, and the list provides from OSS note 991377, however both of them not include those tcodes I mention above.
Your input with the new tcodes, that replace the tcodes above, will be appreciated.
    Thank you
    Steve

  • 4.7EEx1.10 to ECC6.0 upgrade and Unicode conversion

    Hi Experts,
We are going to initiate the upgrade from next month onwards. Subsequently i have started preparing the plan and strategy for the same.
As our current setup is 4.7EEx110/Win 2003 R2-64 bit/Oracle 10.2.0.4.0 (Non unicode). And we have recently migrated on to this setup from WIn2k 32 bit. Also the current hardware is Unicode compatible.
With respect to strategy for achieving this Upgrade and Unicode conversion, i am planning as follows.
Step 1) Perform Unicode conversion on the current landscape (Both Export/import on the same servers)
Step 2) Setup Temporary landscape as part of Dual maintenance strategy and migrate data from the current systems to temporary systems using backup/restore method.
Step 3) Perform the SAP version upgrade on the current landscape and setup transport routes from temporary to current landscape in order to keep it in sync
Step 4) after successful upgrade, decommission the temporary landscape
Please provide your suggestions and valuable advices if there is anything wrong with my strategy and execution plan.
    Regards,
    Dheeraj

    Hi,
Thanks. As i have already referred these notes as i am seeking advise with respect to my upgrade approach.
However i have planned to perform in the following manner.
    1) Refresh Sandbox with Prod data and perform Upgrade to ECC6.0 EHP5 & subsequently Unicode conversion on the same server (Since both export & Import has to perform on the same hardware as we have recently migrated on this hardware which is Unicode compatible)
    2) Setup temporary landscape for DEv & QAs and establish transport connection to Production system in order to move urgent changes
    3) Keep a track of the changes which have transported during upgrade phase so that the same can be implemented in the upgraded systems i.e. Dev & QAS
    4) After Sandbox Migration and signoff, we will perform Dev & QAS upgrade & unicode conversion on the same hardware (Note: Since these are running on VMware can we export the data from the upgraded system and import on to a new VM?)
    5) Plan for production cutover and Upgrade the Prod system to ECC6.0 Ehp5 and then Unicode conversion. As i am planning to perform upgrade over the weekend and then Unicode conversion activity in the next weekend (Is it a right way?)
My Production setup: DB on one Physical host and CI on separate Virtual host
    6) After the stabilization phase, we are planning for OS & DB upgrade as follows:
          a) Windows upgrade from 2003 R2 to Windows 2008 R2
          b) Oracle Upgrade from 10.2 to 11.2
If anyone thinks that there is anything wrong with my above approach and need changes then please revert.
I have one more doubt as I am going to upgrade 4.7EEx110 (WAS 620, Basis SP64) to ECC6.0 EHp5.As I presume that I can straight away upgrade from the current version to ECC6.0 Ehp5 without installing EHP. Kindly confirm
    Thanks
