Additional calendars created in outlook

Each time there is a software issue with MM or Itunes (like there is now since upgrade to 8.1) when I try synching even if the operation does not actually result in info being synched, a new calendar appears in my outlook 2003 'my calendars'. it is always blank of course, something it is inacessible (i.e., I get error message when I try to select it to delete it). then in mobile me I see these additional calendars as well and if I push my info from/to phone to MM instead of using Itunes I get multiple calendars which is annoying because I stated with one and that is all I want: one calendar. I cannot delete the new ones created by these synching issues. any suggestions? thanks.

for many years I sync'd my calendar in Outlook 2007 on a PC with my iPhone thru iTunes, everything worked fined. Now I want to sync with Calendar on my Mac. The only way that's possible is with iCloud. My addresses are working fine (which were also maintained in Outlook) but I have 3 calendars that are not syncing. Mac Calendar can see the names, but there are no events reaching my Mac. If I add an event to my Mac now, it does sync with my phone, so I know they are communicating.

I have a SharePoint 2013 Enterprise calendar list that I have "open in outlook"
In Outlook 2013, in the opened SharePoint calendar, I create a few events. None of them show up in the SharePoint list , they only remain visible in my Outlook Calendar. I had users report this problem to me when we were still using SharePoint
2007, I had hope this error had been fixed... but I shouldn't be surprised to see that it's still happening.
How can this be fixed? I have users who are depending upon this SharePoint calendar to be accurate. I have no way of knowing that evetns created in Outlook are failing to show in SharePoint. Help please

According to your description, my understanding is that the event made in Outlook don’t sync to SharePoint site’s calendar.
Please try to use the ScanPST program to repaire the SharePoint PST file, compare the result.

IPhone 4S created duplicate Outlook calendar

We have two new iPhone 4S in our organization, which were upgraded from the iPhone 4. So, we have been using iPhones in our Exchange Server environment for a few years and never ran into this problem before. These two iPhone 4S users now have two Outlook calendars! Under Outlook on the computer, when looking at the Calendar's properties, I would expect to see \\username. For the second calendar, I see \\username\Calendar. So it appears that, after the iPhone 4S was connected to the user's mail/calendar/contacts, a sub-calendar was created.
What causes this and what's to be done to fix/prevent it?

Thats your answer then. When you choose to use icloud to sync and backup your data, it will notify you that it will stop automatically syncing with itunes. You then do your itunes syncing manually.

Force Day View of Calendar Published from Outlook Web Access

Is there a way to force the view of the Outlook calendar published through Outlook Web Access 2013 so that it displays the day or week view without the user having to click on an icon to change the view? I want to display a day view calendar (or week
view) by default. I can successfully publish the calendar but a user has to click the icons to change the view. I want to display the calendar in an iframe on a digital sign and the user won't have a way to click or touch the icon. Are there

Exchange Server 2010 Outlook Web App Customization SDK helpful.
As for Microsoft Office Outlook you can use the
CurrentView property of the Explorer or Folder classes which returns a View object
representing the current view. To obtain a View object for the view of the current Explorer,
use Explorer.CurrentView instead
of the CurrentView property of the currentFolder object
returned by Explorer.CurrentFolder.
The View object allows you to create customizable views that allow you to better sort, group and ultimately view data of all different types. There are a variety of different view types that provide

Is it possible to transfer the data from a SharePoint 2013 calendar entry to Outlook 2010 calendar entry?

I've managed to Sync my SharePoint Calendar with my Outlook. At the moment it only transfers through the Title and Location of my calendar entry.
Is it possible to transfer the description as per the SharePoint entry so it shows up in Outlook?

According to your post, my understanding is that you not seen the description of the calendar item synced with the outlook.
I had tested with the issue, the description could sync with outlook.
I created some items in the calendar, clicked the “Connect to Outlook” control, the items synced with the outlook including the description of the items.
Did the issue occur in other calendars? You can create a new calendar with some items, the check whether it works.
You can also check the event log and ULS log to see if anything unexpected occurred.
To check event log, click the Start button and type “Event Viewer”in the Search box.
For SharePoint 2013, by default, ULS log is at
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS
You can check the ULS log by the methods here:

Cannot Append to Portfolio Not Created in Outlook

I am using Adobe Pro 9 and created portfolios of Lotus Note emails. Our organization has changed to Outlook and when I attempt to append new emails to the existing portfolios I get an error message "PDFMaker cannot append to the selected Adobe PDF archive because it was not created in Outlook PDFMaker. Is there anything I can do to append to the existing portfolio created with Lotus Notes PDFMaker? The Adobe software has not changed.

Yes, I am running the latest iPhone software. I just checked to make sure, but the "Edit" option still does not show for items I created in Outlook on the phone.
I am wondering if this has something to do with my syncing between two different machines. At home, I sync to a G5 iMac, but at work I sync to an XP machine. The phone was activated through the iMac.
I know that calendar items created by someone else are not allowed to be edited by others in Outlook, so I wonder if the iPhone thinks I am not the originator of the items?

Calendar sync broken Outlook 2007 and iPhone 4.1

If I add a new Calendar event on my iPhone, it does not synch over to Outlook Calendar. If I add new event to my Outlook Calendar, it does not synch over to iPhone. Same with deleted events. Everything else, including Contacts, syncs OK. The combination (iPhone/Outlook/Vista) has been working flawlessly for past 9 months.
I tried the following experiment: (1) I deleted all events from my (backed up) Outlook Calendar created one event and it synced OK (it was addedto my existing iPhone calendar events.) (2) I checked Replace Information on the iPhone and synced again. As expected, all calendar events on iPhone disappeared except for the one event. (3) I reloaded my Outlook calendar from backup,did another sync (did not check the Replace box) and a few random events (from amongst hundreds) got transferred from Outlook to iPhone. (4) I deleted all calendar events from iPhone, retored the iPhone from backup, createda few new entires on iPhone and Outlook, did a sync the problem persisted: no new entries got moved from iPhone to Outlook for from Outlook to iPhone.

I have followed nearly alll your ideas (did the scanpst.exe but not the different pc, did do the different user). I figured it could be my outlook, itunes, or useraccount.
In the new outlook with the new itunes in the new user: No problem!
So I checked my old .pst file and made this the standard in Outlook. Still no problem. iTunes wouldn't budge. So back to my own user account. Blegh...
So I removed iTunes completely, following http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 (Vista).
After installing iTunes again (first restarting my laptop) I first set my map to the 'old' iTunes map in Music. My Outlook was still the 'old' pst I used before. However: it worked! Had to sync twice the first time, but the last hour or so it worked like it should!

Oh, and that other problem I know just as well. What I did:
1 - make sure there is nó other .pst in Outlook.
2 - sync
3 - then have both the first checkmark (sync calendar with outlook) filled in, as well as the desired calender AND the 'replace data' for agenda at the bottom of the page.
4 - sync
5 - if this didn't work, repeat step 3 with the bullet for ALL calendars selected as well as the replace data (or what's it called in English) checked.
6 - sync
Hope this will help. I had to do this a couple of times, with both outlook and the app calender off. Then restarted both the iPhone and my laptop, did these steps again and voilá...

I am using Outlook 2010 and after the initial set up all entries (except for re-occuring ones) have been transfered to Icloud.
However now when I accept or create a new meeting the etrie is only found in Outlook calendar but not in Icloud.
I tried moving the Icloud calenar on top in outlook but still have this issue.
I have only been able to get the entry to show up in iCloud by to manually move it to that calendar.
Any help would be greatly aprechiated.

And that is the only way, events that are created (in Outlook) on the iCloud calendar will appear on iCloud, events created in the Personal Folders calendar will not. Unfortunately Outlook is hardwired to send events that are accepted from elsewhere to the Personal Folders calendar. This also applies to vCards (contacts) that are accepted rather than created.

So sending invites from an exchange server account to a non-exchange server account apparently is a bug so to solve it, get on an exchange server I guess.

How to shared secondary calendar on MS outlook 2013

I have created a secondary calender under "My Calendar". This secondary calendar is setup to shared with the top management people on when reporting date is due. Thus, if I then update changes on this calendar it should automatically update the
calendar on my shared group. However, I am not sure why when they received my share calendar via email. It cannot load and launch this calendar in their outlook. Whereas it works if I shared my primary calendar.
Appreciate if you can advice me if there is any setting I didn't done. Or if there is other alternative way that I send share this calendar.

Calendar & Contacts Without Outlook

Is there a Windows utility I can use to create (and sync) calendar and contact entries without having to use Outlook? Light and simple would be best.

For contacts, you can use Yahoo! Address Book, Google Address Book, Windows Address Book (Outlook Express), Vista Contacts, or Microsoft Outlook 2003 or 2007 on a PC.
You can only sync calendars from Microsoft Outlook 2003 or 2007 on a PC.
You could also use the MobileMe webapps.

Icloud calendar issues in Outlook 2013

I have I cloud to sync email/contacts/calendar between my HP Desktop/IPad/Android. When I enter an appointment in the I Cloud calendar within Outlook 2013, the pm option in the time drop down box always reverts to am. I have to correct the time on I pad or phone (this then syncs correctly to Desktop). Can anyone shed any light on this?

Desktop Software sync'ing non-default calendar entries to Outlook

I just upgraded from a Curve to a Torch 9810. I have two email accounts set up on it - my personal one and my work one (BIS) - just as I did on the Curve. My personal one is the default in the Default Services. I sync my BB to Outlook on my personal PC using the Desktop Software. On the Curve when I did the sync, it only updated calendar entries associated to my personal email account (the default) to Outlook. Everything I can find online indicates that that is the way it is supposed to work, and that is the way I want it to work. I don't want my work appointments on the BB to be added to my personal Outlook calendar. On this new Torch, though, it is sync'ing the appointments associated to my non-default work email to Outlook. I tried changing the default service to my work email to see what would happen, but it still tried to sync the same set of (work) calendar entries. I also tried clearing the calendar completely and resync'ing, but that didn't fix the problem. Does anyone know why it is sync'ing the non-default calendar entries to Outlook and how to get it to stop? Thanks!

Sorry to hear you are having difficulties synchronizing your Calendar on your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9810 smartphone.
Just to be sure, if you go to Options>Device>Advanced System Settings>Default Services, your personal email account is listed as the default? (as this default is what is used to do the synchronize).
In the appointments that are not synchronizing over, does it say what service was used when creating it?
Does your Microsoft® Outlook® Calendar have the correct entries and you want to add them to your phone or does your phone have the correct Calendar entries and you want these to your Outlook®?
Let me know what the entries say.

Hi,
you don't need MobileMe or anything fancy. I personally sync my Outlook calendar and my Outlook address book with three computers (two at the office and one at home)and besides I run Office 2003 on one, Office 2007 on the other and Office 2010 on the third, so it can't get more complicated than that, but it works 100%.
First sync Outlook with iTunes on one computer, having done that when you try to sync it to another machine, iTunes will recognize that it is synced with another computer and ask you if you want to merge the data, say yes, That's all there is to it.
It does not work for music as you rightly say but as far as Calendars and Contacts are concerned it's flawless and transparent.
