Additional livetype effects not showing in media Library

Hi,
I just installed LiveType 2, did the software update and installed the second DVD containing additional effects. It added almost 3 to 4 gigs in the LiveType Data folder in Library>Application Support>LiveType. I restarted my Mac, and loaded LiveType. None of the new effects are appearing in the Media library. Did I do something wrong. Is there an incompatibility?
I also checked the Preferrences in LiveType and added the folder so it would load the up. Still no new effects.
Please help!

I re-installed everything and got it to work again.... weird

I made a book in iPhoto in november and ordered 2.  I would like to order a third but it is not showing in my library anymore.  I fear it got inadvertently deleted.  Does apple keep a hard copy of books purchased?

BTW - Once a year is NOT a backup - I use TM so I have at least one per hour plus do a daily clone for a second one and an occasional offsite one (10 or 12 times a year) for the third one

  • .m4v movies on external drive not showing in my library?

Some movies held on external drive are not showing in my library. I can open them with iTunes through Finder but they still don't appear in my library. Any ideas why. All my iTunes downloaded movies are there but the .m4v that I have loaded are missing.

Again I do not have iTunes 12 but I recall seeing a picture where movies have their own library section.
I did not fully understand your last post (cosignee?) but if iTunes is playing a file then it is in the library somewhere.
I know with my version of Quicktime Player it shows tag data in a separate information window I can choose to display.  You can also use a tag editor such as MetaZ or Subler  to edit movie tags.

  • Music not showing up in library after drag and drop (7.0)

Music will not show up in library after draging and dropping .mp3's into itunes. Also won't show up if I try the File > Add Folder to Library. The processing files box shows up like its going to work, but it just doesn't. I have tried many differnet mp3's, some actually DID import.
Also, double clicking on an mp3 will bring up itunes, but it will not load or play the song.
I currently have 55.5GB of music, and 10,158 songs. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Try holding down the Shift key in Windows when launching iTunes. In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to an existing one. The default location for your iTunes library is in \Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\. Look in there and see if you have more than one library file (they have the extension .itl) If you have more than one try opening them in turn, you may find your original library is still intact: How to open an alternate iTunes Library file

  • Combing two large libraries (over 1.25 TB total) and music will not show up in library but does in media folder. Help?

I'm a Windows PC user, and I'm currently in the process of combining my 12,000+ song library on my laptop (we'll call it Library A) with a 180,000+ song library (Library B, and yes, one-hundred-and-eighty thousand) onto a new hard drive. I have successfully moved Library A from my laptop onto my new hard drive. The method I have tried so far to move the Library B music into A on the new hard drive is by using the "Add Folder to Library" and selecting only a small portion of the folders in Library B's media folders as not to overload iTunes and to be able to pinpoint problems.
This worked for a few small iterations but the moment I tried doing half of the "A" artists (alphabetically), most of the music doesn't show up in the library. Some of it doesn't show up in the regular library but in the "Recently Added" playlist, and some don't show up in either. I have even tried adding just single files now and those don't show up at all.
THEY ALL SHOW UP IN THE MEDIA FOLDER ON THE NEW HARD DRIVE. That is why I think this might be true but I'm not sure: I've heard that it is because iTunes needs to process all the songs before it shows up in the actual library. Is this true? I have waited over an hour for adding about 6,000 songs; half showed up right in the beginning and half haven't yet. When I added about 4,000 just before this, they all showed up without any problems.
Any help? And is there an easier, error-free way to add this many songs into a new library at once? I'll keep this updated for anyone trying. Thanks in advance!
I have tried signing out and signing in and that does not work either.

    hey.
finally somebody with the same problem! i bought a new external drive because i was running out of space and backed up my entire library. then my computer crashed and i wanted to take advantage of a clean drive and not add my whole library back onto my computer. i'd love to be able to access my music folder on the external and have that show up as my library on iTunes when connected...
i followed all the steps as closely as possible and am pretty confident that my advanced preferences in iTunes are correct, but the library does not show these songs from the external drive. have you had any feedback or figured it out on your own?! i hope so, i'm at a deadend.

  • Effects not showing up in LiveType

Hello - I am trying to apply an effect in LiveType, and while it looks like it's going into the timeline, there is nothing there. It looks as though the effect has been applied to the timeline, as it says the name of the effect, but the effect does not show up... thank you.

Hey Nick - thanks for offering to help! Turns out all I did was close out of LIveType, then open it back up again, then the Effects seemed to work, though don't how, as I did not do anything different before I closed it out... hmmm... ok then, thank you again!

  • Content purchased from iTunes store are downloaded but do not show up in library (iTunes 11) even after manual add

    Hi all,
I upgraded to iTunes 11 recently and have now purchased some additional content from the iTunes store. The files have been downloaded but do not show up in my library. A search yields some results but I cannot access the songs in my library nor can I add them to 'up next' although the option is available from the search results menu.
First thing I tried was to add them again manually but the problem persists. Any clues?
    Thanks and Best
    Frank

OK, I found a solution. Here it goes, just in case anybody else comes across this issue:
I deleted all the relevant entries from the iTunes Libary.xml AND iTunes Music Library.xml files (with iTunes closed, of course) and removed the files on the harddrive library structure to another location. I then restarted iTunes and added the album manually to my library again. In my case, I got iTunes to handle my library and the files were thus copied back to my old structure by the iTunes. To finish I reimported the album artwork and that was that.
Hope that I won't encounter this issue with future purchases under iTunes11, this workaround IS a bit of a hassle!

  • Rip CD not showing up in Library and I don't want to sync with devices

I would like to rip CD's to my iTunes Library but I don't want to sync with devices. Ripped CDs are not showing up in the physical folder location I have designated in the Preferences Tab...t's an exyernal drive...Any help would be appreciated...

As you know, you can designate an external drive to be your iTunes Media folder location.  However, if you ever start iTunes when the external is disconnected or unavailable, iTunes will revert back to the local drive.

  • Music Not Showing up in Library

I have the latest edition of iTunes and just discovered something odd.
Sometimes I drag & drop folders of MP3 music that I got from other sources directly into my iTunes Music folder.
I just realized that this music does not show up in my Library in iTunes unless I specifically use the "Add Folder To Library" feature in iTunes.
    HUH?
Is there any way to have iTunes atomatically scan the iTunes Music folder for new additions and automatically add them to the library? I can't understand why it wouldn't do this...but it's not.
    Help.

  • Purchased song not showing in itunes library

Earlier today I purchased several songs today, and one of the songs that I bought was showing up under purchased playlist in my library, but not actually in my library if that makes sense. It was also showing up in the purchased section in the itunes store. I tried deleting the song and hopefully being able to redownload it but it was still showing up as if it was in my library. I even tried hiding the purchase and then unhiding it but when I did that it still showed up in the purchased section as if it was in my library. Is there a way to change this?

    Hello toi_va,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on exactly what you are seeing or describing. If you are having issues finding this particular song, even after redownloading, you may find the information and steps outlined in the following article helpful:

  • WMA Files do not show in my library list

When I right click on my music and send to my ipod it transfer over but it does not show on my music list. It show under contents folder as "other" for disc space and does not show up on my music list. HELP

Faith, Are they unprotected WMA files? (They will be unprotected if you ripped them from CD using Windows Media Player, but they will be protected if you bought them from an online store with the "Plays For Sure" logo, such as musicmatch.com).
Assuming they are unprotected, add them to your iTunes library. iTunes does not add them directly, but rather creates a new file in your preferred import format (mp3 or AAC). Do one file at first, and make sure it works as you wish before you add whole bunches.
If they are protected, life is more complicated. Use WMP to burn them to audio CD. Then import from the audio CD into iTunes.

  • ITunes sees iPod...but songs do not show up in library

Long story short...I gave my son my old iPod mini. When we couldn't connect both it and my new video iPod to our new computer, we took it to his grandmother's house to use. I've downloaded all of the iPod/iTunes updates, and when the iPod mini is connected, it shows up in iTunes and you can listen to the songs...but it wont let us make any changes. The songs do not show up in the "library". We can't burn any songs to disks, we can't move anything around in the playlists....HELP!!!!!!! We've already de-authorized our old computer...so why wont this darn thing work???

The songs that you had on your original computer are saved on that computer, and your iPod. You cannot drag songs off of an iPod and place them into a new library.
You can, however, use your iPod as an external hard drive, and use it to transfer files to a new computer:

  • Bought a movie and it is not showing up in library

Bought a movie on itunes and does not show up in my library. Is that normal? I was able to watch it on my apple tv
and it does show up on in account. It also shows up in a list of movies "not in your library".

How did you figure it out?

  • IOS devices not loading shared media library to the end

I am having this problem for some time by now - but it did not appear shortly after any iOS update! Now what is the trouble?
I am using my iPad 3 and my iPhone 5 (newest iOS on both) alongside an Apple TV 3, a Mac mini Server and a MacBook Pro (newest OS X). The Server hosts my media library, private sharing activated by using my Apple ID. Sometimes (not always) I am sharing my library with the same Apple ID on My MacBook Pro to my home network, too. Both Macs can see and use the other Mac's shared library without any troubles - so this works. The Apple TV 3 also can connect to both libraries (though I am using the Server's much more often than the MacBook Pro's).
Neither on my iPad nor on my iPhone I can get the home shared media library loaded in complete by using the apps
    "Music" and "Video".
The small loading circle symbol just stops after about 50 % and then nothing happens furthermore no matter how long I am waiting:
The only thing I can do afterwards is to force quit "Music" and / or "Videos" app, restart those and trying again, still leaving me the already described 50 % and nothing else.
    What is strange about that:
"Remote" app to Apple TV and my Macs and "AirPlay" to the Apple TV just work fine. "Remote" app connects to my Apple TV and my Macs without any troubles. But "Videos" and "Music" can not load the shared library to complete. It does not matter to which Mac I am connecting (to be more exact: to which shared library). All iOS devices "see" the shared libraries, seem to connect to them at the beginning but just to refuse to load more than 50 % - and doing anything else afterwards. To make it even more strange both iOS devices were able to load everything to the end some time ago. I am not sure if there was an iOS update available in between anymore, but there definetly was an iTunes update in between!
So what I already tried (not in that order described here):
Stopping and restarting home sharing on my Macs using the initial Apple ID account.
Stopping and restarting home sharing on both Macs using another Apple ID account (and adapting the iOS devices info accordingly).
Using different Apple ID accounts on both Macs at the same time for home sharing.
Logged off and re-logged back into iTunes Store Account on my Macs and iOS devices.
Re-configured my sharing on my iOS devices using those two already mentioned accounts.
Re-initialization of the complete iTunes libray on my Mac mini Server (moving the .xml to the desktop, deleting the .itl from the iTunes folder, re-importing the .xml).
I think I have done some other steps in between, too but none of them fixes that problem. Please note: I am not using an Apple AirPort Extreme but my service provider's Modem / Router combination. I do not think the problem is located in that Modem / Router / Network connection as it once worked without any troubles. Maybe I will try to connect my AirPort Extreme to that Modem somewhat later to see if this fixes the problem.
    Any help is highly appreciated!
    J

Looks like I found a solution on my own...
After renaming my iTunes Mediatheque in the iTunes preferences window on my iTunes server hosted by a Mac mini all mi iOS devices were able to load my mediatheque in complete again. It took some time to get all the covers but no title is left over.
I found this solution by "accident" when I noticed too many devices used more or less the same name on my network.
    Strange.

  • Imported audiobook and iPhone videos not showing in main library.

Today I imported an Audible book I had downloaded by dragging the files onto the "Library" section of iTunes. The progress bar showed that the files were being imported and the book shows up in a smart playlist in the "Playlist" section but not in the "Books" category of the library. I have checked and the files are exactly where they are supposed to be on my hard drive with this author's other books. A similar thing happened when I imported videos from my iPhone. I had downloaded them from my phone onto my desktop and then dragged them onto the library where the progress bar showed they were imported. They are not in the "Movies" library but when I went to sync them onto my iPad2 they show under the "Movies" tab of the iPad and were successfully synchronized onto my iPad2. I tried quiting iTunes and restarting it but this did not cause them to show up. I then restart the whole computer but still no go.
Any suggestions? I am running iTunes 10.6 (40) on an Intel Core 2 Duo iMac running OSX 10.7.3.
    Thanks,
    Clayton
