Additional Menu Templates for elements 12.1

Are there any additional templates available for Premiere Elements 12.?

For Premiere Elements in general....
To meet your specific menu needs, best customize Adobe existing ones or create new ones from scratch using Photoshop CS or higher.
The following will give you some idea of what can be done. Please see list of links at the bottom of that blog post.

Does anyone know of a good source for additional menu templates for DVD Studio Pro?

I've been looking too-I've seen those, but they mostly look pretty cheesy. Any other options?
Also, I've recently upgrade from Final Cut HD Production Suite to Final Cut 5.1 Studio, and was surprised to find NO new templates in DVD Studio Pro 4. Is that correct, or did I not load everything properly?

  • Is there a way to create a dropdown menu template for metadata entry in Bridge?

For certain categories such as keywords, I would like to create a set of standard terms to use for my department. Is there a way to create a template for a dropdown menu within the metadata window?
    Currently running CS5.1

This was discontinuted in CS5 howerver you could migrate that plugin to CS5.  I don`t know if you can do this with CS6.
To my knowledge they only provided a revised Contact sheet II script for CS6. In my opinion a very bad idea because they should have put all efforts and resources to enhance the Output Module PDF contact sheet that has far more options.
Still not using web galleries but the goal for web gallery was also to use this in the Adobe Output Module, maybe that provides you the options you want?

In Editor, go to File>Print. In the dialog that comes up, go to #4, in the drop-down select "picture package".
    There are several available options.

  • Moving menu template from premiere elements 4 to premiere elements 9

Last year I upgraded from premiere elements 4 to 9.  I could not find a generic menu template in premiere elements 9 so I moved one from the program files of premiere elements 4 to the program files of premiere elements 9.  This seemed to work okay except that the background art that I used for the main menu does not show up on the burned DVD even though it is there when viewing the project.  I'm using a PC with Windows 7.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Several of the menu templates for PRE9 had problems, such as custom backgrounds ignored. A. T. Romano did a lot of work on investigating these issues.
    For example:
Premiere Elements 9 Disc Menu (main/scene)
    PE9 Menu background
It seems likely that whatever caused the faults in PRE9 is also tripping up with your PRE4 template. Others have reported that the problems were fixed in PRE10.

This is not Adobe. Rather user to user. I am not affiliated with Adobe in any way and have no insider information on whether or not Adobe will update anything including any Mac compatibility problems. There are a certain number of troubleshooting steps (hoops as you call them) to try to resolve these issues in the absence of Adobe support even for a current version product. You can try contacting Adobe via its Adobe Chat to determine if it will support you on this issue.

As users, visitors here like yourself, we have no way of remotely controlling of your computer for troubleshooting purposes. If you are not having problems with your Verizon Fios and server issues persists, then the server issue needs addressing by Adobe.
Just this morning I downloaded Premiere Elements 13/13.1 Movie Menus (Download All) rather than doing my usual Download Now. I have Verizon Fios Internet Service 25/25 Mbps Download/Upload and Windows 7 and 8.1 64 bit computers. I had no problems what so ever in doing this in a short period of time. I am strictly an Elements Windows user so I cannot speculate on the counterpart on a Mac.
Please let us know if Adobe supports you on this issue and resolves the matter.
We would be glad for the opportunity to go through with you whatever troubleshooting steps a user can go through to try to resolve this issue.

  • Importing Menu Template to PE 7

    Hi
I'm trying to figure out how I import one of the additional menu templates that came with Adobe PE 7.   specifically   ../general/generic one...
This seems pretty basic, and I am probably looking right at what I need to do, but I can't figure it out.
If I import all objects to my workspace..  (png and psd)  they do not appear in the menu selection.. so, I'm not doing something right.
    Any ideas/
    Thanks in advance.
    Peggy

With the drop-down menus, there is a tiny, low-contrast arrow, indicating that other choices are lurking. These, plus some of the scroll bars, just do not show up all that clearly, and on a high-rez monitor, one has to look very closely. I have to hunt for some of these, even if I suspect that they are there. That is why I mentioned that you were "almost there."
Glad that you found it, and hope that the Generic is just right for your Project. Remember, you can make some easy modifications in the Menu Editing Panel.
Also, thank you for pointing up the changes between PrE 4 and PrE 7. I knew that there were some, but did not recall this syntax change. Same for PrE 8 - more has moved and been renamed. I'll try to stick this one away for the next time that a similar problem comes up - though I will probably forget it by then...
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - your screen-cap was invaluable in helping me know exactly where you were in the GUI. Another big thanks.

  • Can I use Premiere Elements templates for Encore CS6

LIke the title says.... can I use menu templates from Premiere Elements for Encore CS6? If so, does it matter what version of PRE?
I've seen some templates on the web (e.g. muvipix) but don't know if I could use them in Encore.
I saw somebody asked a similar question for CS4, didn't know what, if anything, had changed...
ETA: Just FYI, I downloaded the Encore CS6 Functional Content and installed it, but honestly I'm not sure if it added any templates or what.... :)

Also, I have to say, for stuff on that's so valuable, Adobe has made the page very hard to find and made the instructions as clear as mud.
First, I'm still not clear on what the difference is between "Functional Content" and "Resource Central Library Content".
Second, as far as I can tell, I never had the problem being addressed by the page (i.e. "When you access the Library panel in Adobe Encore, the panel contains no content."). My library panel always had content, just not a lot of it.
My problem would more accurately be described as "When you access the Library panel in Adobe Encore, the panel contains surprisingly little content.". So the mother lode of content I was looking for was buried as an "Additional Solution" for a problem I didn't have.
And lastly, the Functional Content is some oddly double-zipped self-extracting affair, and the "Resource Central Content is a more straight-forward compressed file, but unlike the Functional Content, it's a .7z file so you have to download a 7-zip compatible decompression tool.
It's awesome that Adobe has that content, so I hate to complain, but it's not so awesome how hard it is find and install.

  • Template for additional language not working, always displays English templ

    Hello,
We have an Oracle implementation in Spain. I already have BI Publisher setup for printing a pdf for a report in English and I added an additional rtf template in the BI Publisher Administration responsibility and set the language to Spanish/Spain. I cannot get the spanish version to print. I select the Spanish language on the login page and I can see the application is in Spanish but when I run the report I still get the default English pdf. Is there something else I need to do or maybe something wrong with how our Spanish language install is setup? Please give me some suggestions of what I need to check or let me know if I missed something.
    Thank you,
    David.

Hi, for oracle, you have 2 templates and language doesn't matter there. You should look at creating a "translation file" for the english template.
1 - Under XML Publisher Respon
    2 - Template
    3 - Query your template
4 - under "Update" button, transalatable file, choose you template and apply
5 - back on the template page, you should see 2 news buttons (Export Translation, Upload Translations).
6 - Click on Export, save file.
7 - This file will include all the text label in the template.
8 - Open it, change Target language
9 - Change the text in <target> element for spanish wording.
10 - Once completed, Upload you translation file thru "Upload translations" button.
12 - Login the right language, generate your report and see the results..

  • Creating a custom DVD template for Premiere Elements 7

I have Premiere Elements 7, as well as Photoshop CS3. What I want is a very simple DVD title page that shows all 18 scenes in our movie - text listings would be enough - the point of the exercise is to make it easy for someone to click on a specific scene (I could use movie markers instead of scene markers, I guess, if that makes life easier) while giving a talk.
I cannot find instructions for doing that in either PE7 or Photoshop. Clearly am not looking in the right places. Can someone point me to useful instruction?
    Many thanks,
    ari

    Ari,
    Welcome to the forum.
One thing that tends to get in the way, when creating Menus for PrE is that PrE's authoring module (creates navigation, Burns DVD, etc.) is that it does things semi-automatically. To accomplish this, one needs to think of Menu Sets (a Main Menu and a Scene Selection Menu, that will be replicated enough times to fit the Project). If you look in the folder structure of the Library, you will see that there are two Menus, and their accompanying PNG's (thumbnail display for Create Menu organizer) for each title. That is done to accommodate the semi-automatic aspect.
Now, using a well-defined set of properties, one CAN create Menu Sets for PrE. There are also several additional Menu Sets available from Muvipix, including one with a Text-only Scene Selection Menu. These can be purchased, or can be downloaded free, if one is a subscriber.
One consideration, in your stated case, is that if you have a Widescreen Project, you can ONLY have 18 Buttons on any one Menu. If you have a Scene Selection Menu for 18 Chapters, then you have no room for a Back to Main Menu Button. If you have a Standard Project (4:3), you can have up to 36 Buttons on a Menu, so all is cool, so long as you can fit them into the area - NO element of a Button may overlap any element in another.
If one is creating, or editing a Menu Set, I strongly advise that they spend a great deal of time studying similar Menu Sets from the Library. There are many conventions that MUST be maintained, and if one does not, problems WILL occur.
This ARTICLE will give you a few tips on editing/creating PrE Menu Sets.
Steve Grisetti also has some useful articles on editing Menu Sets, on Muvipix.
For more options, regarding Menus and navigation, many like Sony's DVD Architect. One limitation of that program is that it does not use Photoshop PSD's for the Menus. I do not know about its Menu editing capabilities, or any limitations. I use Adobe Encore, and it does use PS Menus, and is also 100% manual, so I can set up any navigational scheme that I want - though I do this fully manually. Unfortunately, it is ONLY available bundled with PrPro, and not as a stand-alone.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Are Disc Menu Templates Restricted to Certain Versions of Premiere Elements

I ask this question after visiting the movipix site to look at what templates I might add to my PrE 9 program. This got me to wondering if templates are restricted to certain versions of PrE. After reading various posts in this forum I thought I was getting the message that any templates from Premiere Elements 4 to Premiere Elements 10 were interchangeable. It was a matter of inserting the subfolder from one program into the category folder of another program?
If I were to order a template from the movipix website would I have to check to make sure which versions it would work in? I read where version 9 had some problems with some templates that would not allow menu background video or pictures to show up on the burned dvd even though it was in preview before burning. AT Romano had played with some of the templates but I never could find out if the problem was resolved by Adobe.
    Thanks

    ATR,
Thank you for your response. A wealth of information. Quite a bit of it I had already read. You've gone to a lot of work. Of most interest to me were a couple of posts. One in this forum "Using Disc Menus from Premiere Elements 4 in Premiere Elements 12". (Sorry I didn't copy the message #). The other detailed post was in Elements Village Premiere Elements forum.  http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73006&highlight=templates+folder
These posts are explaining pretty much how to install additonal templates, either between versions, or downloaded templates? Very good. One question on the Elements Village post though. You mentioned deselecting "Read Only" in the properties dialog box of the folder to be transferred. Is this only necessary if transferring from one computer to another? or should this be done when transferring from one PrE version to another within the same computer?
I think you have answered my question on using menu templates across the board from PrE version 4 thru 12. Just a matter of getting them in the correct folders as you have pointed out in your various posts. And it appears that only PrE 9 had the issues that didn't get fixed by Adobe as far as menu background & audio not getting burned to disc?
To give more details on the Menu and Scene Selection buttons. I should have said PLAY ALL instead of Menu. I did not modify them. I merely dragged the Play All button to the bottom left and the Scene button to the bottom right of the Main Menu page. The arrows pointing to them went along with the text. But on the burned DVD they seem to be reversed when the arrow is highlighting the choice to be made. Play All selects Scenes and vice versa. I probably won't be using this template again anyway but was interesting.
Not sure where to post this next question. Is there a way to start a post? where members can list a few of their favorite Disc Menu Templates that they use all the time? Kind of a vague question but I'm guessing out of all of the available templates in each of the versions of PrE only a few get used over and over. As the list would grow people could vote (?) on various ones and some kind of master list might be produced for future use or download. For example: PrE version (or a downloaded version like from Movipix ) used, templates used, categories (ie:general, entertainment, etc.) It seems as though a new version introduced adds some templates and takes some away. Then people are left looking or trying to figure out how to replace them (such as transferring them as we have been discussing)
    Thank you for your time

  • Premiere Elements 13 problem with DVD menu templates

I recently purchased Premiere Elements 13 for my iMac.  It crashes every time I attempt to add a DVD menu template to my project.  Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

I just uninstalled and then re-installed Premiere Elements.  When I opened the program, I clicked on Movie Menus from the Tools menu.  There were blue bands on the menu thumbnails and I right-clicked on one and selected "download all."  P.E. let me know that the files would need 2.5 GB of space and I told it to go ahead and download the files.  The download was going fine and it downloaded all 2.5 GB of data.  I could see the blue bands disappear from the thumbnails as the download progressed.  When the downloading process was over the progress window disappeared.  I saw the rainbow colored pinwheel spin around for several seconds and then the program crashed.  The next thing I saw was a "Crash Report" with several lines of "computerese" and the message that it would be sent to Apple.  I clicked OK and in a second or two a window from Adobe appeared asking me if I wanted to restart the program and send the crash report to Adobe.  There was also an option for me to ask Adobe to send me feedback or tips for a workaround or solution to the problem and what came back was the message that Adobe had no workaround or solution to my problem.  For each of the previous times the program crashed, I have seen all of these windows that I just described.
One other thing:  when I re-opened Premiere Elements after the crash, I looked at the movie menu thumbnails and the blue bands were not there any more.  So it seems as though Premiere Elements "thinks" they have been downloaded.  If so, where are they and how do I use them?  And how do I prevent the program from crashing?
Feel free to ask me any questions you want to, especially if they will help solve this problem.  One reason I bought this program is that I want to make DVDs with menus and chapter selection buttons.  I have been using iDVD, but Apple no longer supports it, and it does have a few bugs I have had to work around.  I also have DVD Studio Pro, which came with Final Cut Studio a few years ago (before Final Cut Pro X) but it is not very user friendly.  I also have Final Cut Pro X, which has the option of authoring DVDs, but doesn't have the DVD menu template options that are in iDVD and DVD Studio Pro.
Thanks for your attention and help.

  • How do I create my own favorite template for DVD slideshows? I used to be able to select this from pulldown menu, but cannot now do so. I am directed straight to templates, which take more memory. I have a large slideshow, and need all the space I can get

First, how do I create my own favorite theme template for DVD slideshows? I used to be able to select this from pulldown menu, but cannot now do so. I am directed straight to already existing themes, which take more memory. I have a large slideshow, and need all the space I can get. I just want to use a picture as my DVD cover, and then insert a slideshow. Also, when I try to burn my 8.5gb double sided slideshow, all that burns is the music. It is a large slideshow, a memorial on the life of my now deceased brother. This means a lot to me and to my family, and I am having so much trouble trying to burn it. I have gone into Project View and selected appropriately. The bar shows I have room to burn this DVD, but it does not burn.  I have burned so many DVDs in the past, but this one just will not burn. I am so confused at this point. I will say this is the first 8.5gb I have attempted to create and burn. My specs list a 7.7gb or 4.7gb as operable....but there are no 7.7gb dvds. I had to purchase 8.5gb. Help? What am I doing wrong? I have spent so much time on this, and just cannot figure it out.

Final Cut is a separate, higher end video editor.  The pro version of iMovie.
Give iPhoto a look at for creating the slideshow.  It's easy to assemble the photos in an album in iPhoto, put them in the order you want and then make a slideshow of them.  You can select from various themes and transitions between slides and add music from your iTunes library.
When you have the slidshow as you want use the Export button at the bottom of the iPhoto window and export with Size = Medium or Large.
Save the resulting Quicktime movie file in your Movies folder.
Next, open iDVD, choose your theme and drag the QT movie file into the menu window being careful to avoid any drop zones.
Then follow this workflow to help assure the best qualty video DVD:
Once you have the project as you want it save it as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image  menu option. This will separate the encoding process from the burn process.
To check the encoding mount the disk image, launch DVD Player and play it.  If it plays OK with DVD Player the encoding is good.
Then burn to disk with Disk Utility or Toast at the slowest speed available (2x-4x) to assure the best burn quality.  Always use top quality media:  Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R are the most recommended in these forums.
The reason I suggest iPhoto is that I find it much easier to use than iMovie (except for the older iMovie 6 HD version).  Personal preferences showing here.
