Additional Outlook mailbox possible?

I have an additional exchange mailbox attached in my Outlook 2007 client.
Now I would like to have this also visible on my iphone besides the main exchange mailbox.
Is this even possible?
I tried to enter its details- everything being the same as the main one except the actual email address, but iphone complains this is a duplicate exchange account. Well I guess it is since I only use my main account credentials to access this additional mailbox.
Any ideas or experience with this? Thanks!

Basically the same question has been asked here with no real solution?

  • Sending mail smtp vs exchange without outlook mailbox opened

We have an application published via Citrix Xenapp 6.5 on win2k8r2 servers which uses server-side Outlook for composing/sending mail.  The user does a one time setup of the Outlook profile through a Citrix published Outlook.exe.  After the setup
their Outlook profile is then retained in their Citrix/roaming profile and Citrix published Outlook.exe is no longer opened directly.  When the user clicks an 'email' button in the application, an Outlook send/compose window from the server appears with
the contents attached and ready to be mailed.   Up until now employees were using Exchange mailboxes and this functioned perfectly.  Hit 'send' on that compose window and the message would get sent.  We are now migrating most mailboxes
to IMAP and have found that in order for the Citrix Outlook instance to be able to send its mail via SMTP, a server-side session of the Outlook.exe mailbox has to actually be opened and not just the compose window otherwise the messages appear to send but
are actually just sitting in the outbox.  No errors.  Once Outlook mailbox is opened, the messages get sent out.  We dont want users to have to open up a separate Citrix Outlook instance as this creates confusion with their usual client-side
Outlook and it's unwanted for limited resources in Citrix sessions to go towards sync'ing mailboxes.  Seeing the same behavior with Outlook 2007 sp1 and Outlook 2013 sp1 x86.  Why would this work with Exchange but not SMTP and can anyone suggest
    workarounds?
I'm not knowledgeable with vbs/vba but i was considering whether it's possible to launch outlook hidden from the user or to script initiation of send/recv session on the mailbox at scheduled intervals without outlook open, thinking that might send what's
in the outbox.  these are some areas i've looked into but havent gotten results yet -
Email remains in the Outbox when the StrictAccountOrder registry value is non-zero

    Launch Outlook Hidden
Force outlook to "Send/Receive All" using VBA

    Thanks

When you use a SMTP server, you need Outlook open to send mail - the spooler has to have time to load and send the message. When you use Exchange, outlook hands the message off to exchange and exchange sends it.
It's not possible to launch outlook hidden using a different profile - you can only use one profile at a time. There is a utility called ExtraOutlook that can open two profiles that might work for you - most people say it works, but AFAIK, it won't open
the second profile in a hidden state.

  • C7-00 setup outlook mailbox - autolock won't disab...

I read something about this topic on the N8 forum. The same happened to me on a C7-00. I found out where the problem comes from, and a solution (ie. MS Exchange configuration). I advise you to read this before configuring outlook mailbox.
    Problem.
In short, when one configures Outlook mailbox, MS Exchange triggers a setup of Autolock on C7 This setup cannot be changed or disabled! Ie. the phone autolocks after 5 min. I went to the security menu, and there I tried to set the time to "none". The change is not accepted. I tried to change the user defined time. 5 minutes is the max. time (ie one can set autolock to 4 min. but not to 6).
    Why?
While setting up Outlook I received a message about "sending a lock code" (I don't remember exactly the wording), I answered OK (should never have done it). After experiencing the problem with autolock, I connected as an admin to my Win SBS Server 2008 64 bit - opened Exchange Mgmt console/ Oganization Configuration/ Client Accounts/ Exchange ActiveSync Mailbox Policies/ Windows SBS Mobile Mailbox Policy/ Properties/ Password and there was it... the default setting on the server side is to request a password from the connected mobile device and the timout (guess what) is 5 minutes...
    Solution on MS Exchange side.
I have of course reset Exchange to "no password" and restarted all related services on the server. I setup another Outlook mailbox on another phone, and that was fine, Autolock is not activated (you can still do it and configure it, if you want).
There are other possibilities one can explore with MS Exchange (shorter autolock password - remember to set it up on your phone before you setup the mailbox), longer times (up to 59 min), which could satisfy the security needs of some server administrators without making your life too miserable, but in all cases - once this is function has been setup, no way to turn it off!
I mean this is a bug on Nokias side, and it should be corrected. Right?
    Solution on Nokia side.
Anyway, it was not possible to disable Autolock from the phone which had already be "corrupted" (tried to cancel mailbox, make a soft reset to the factory settings).
The only solution I read about was a "hard reset". I did it. It worked, in the sense that Autolock was disabled, but the remedy was worse than the problem.
Unfortunately I only found out after having done it: "hard reset" not only cancels all your data, but also "Maps" (these can be reinstalled), "Ovi Store" and "Social" (these can't because some QT files are cancelled from the firmware). Therefore, unless you don't care about these 2, no "hard reset". See here (written for a N8, but 100% same for my C7)  http://thenokiaguide.com/2010/12/04/warning-dont-do-a-hard-reset-on-the-n8/
Now, this is not a how a hard reset should work, is it Nokia?
Hope this helps someone alse... I am trying to get my phone reflashed (so far, I contacted 2 Nokia Care Centers, and one of them refused to assist, I'm waiting an answer from the other one).
    Good luck!
    Solved!

DO NOT HRD RESET THE DEVICE - FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO CIRCUMVENT THE 'CANNOT CONNECT TO SERVICE - PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER.' MESSAGE
    DO THIS -
WHILE TRYING TO SET UP THE EMAIL ACCOUNT - DECLINE THE NOKIA TERMS OF SERVICE (YES! DECLINE THEM!)
You will see that it then uses normal internet settings to connect to the internet and DOES NOT USE OVI OR NOKIA settings. See explanation below -
The Symbian^3 devices (e.g. Nokia N8-00, C6-01, C7-00) support the following email service types:
Mail for Exchange (for corporate email).
Internet based email services via the Nokia Messaging service (Nokia-hosted service for accessing consumer email, e.g. Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail, Ovi Mail).
    Direct POP/IMAP access.
All the mailboxes can be set up and accessed in one location in Menu > Applications > E-mail or via the email widget on the home screen..
Start the email setup either from the setup wizard on the home screen or by selecting Menu > Applications > E-mail > New. Select the desired email service from the provided list and enter the requested information. If your email service is not found in the list, select Other.
When setting up consumer email, the email access will be established via the Nokia Messaging service if it is available in your country and operator network. If the service is not available, a direct POP/IMAP access to your email server will be used. The direct POP/IMAP access is used also if you decline the terms of Nokia Messaging service during the setup process.
The email access type can be seen in the email settings by selecting Menu > Applications > Mail > Settings > (mailbox name). If the menu shows a list with Mailbox settings, Sync content and Sync frequency, a direct POP/IMAP access is in use. The incoming and outgoing mail server settings can in this case be found in Mailbox settings > Advanced mailbox sett.
With the direct POP/IMAP access the Nokia Messaging service is not used. Mail for Exchange access is also established directly to Exchange mail server and is not going via the Nokia Messaging service.

    Hi,
The Event Viewer can be a great help to determine the root cause of an issue or to find new leads in case regular troubleshooting of Outlook didn’t bring any results.
    Open the Event Viewer:
Press Win + R and type “eventvwr” in the blank box, then press Enter.
You may find the Error Entries for Outlook, also Event ID, text description after the crash happens, post the information in the forum and maybe we can find something useful to find the root cause.
You may know more about Event logs from this article below:

  • How to read outlook mailbox and create corresponding e-mail activities in CRM

    On premises CRM 2013 SP1:
current configuration for incoming and outgoing:
all of the users in our organization use Microsoft Dynamics CRM for Outlook as the incoming
and The E-mail Router is used to send outgoing e-mail that users create in Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
    my requirement:
We have a mailbox that sits on outlook 2013.
Requirement is to read all email messages reaching this mailbox and then create corresponding e-mail activities in CRM.
what are the possible solutions for this?

Create a Queue in CRM with the same email address as that Exchange mailbox.
Set that Queue's incoming mail option to "Email router".
Go to the Email Router, confirm that your incoming settings work, then load the CRM settings.  You should see that Queue as an incoming option.
Validate and publish the Email Router settings with the updated Queue.
That will let CRM receive mail on that Exchange mailbox.   And if that mailbox is for a CRM user and not a generic mailbox, change the CRM settings on their User account instead of a Queue.

  • Outlook 2013:Possible to remove/edit layout header in mail preview pane?

I get many hundreds of emails a day. I need to glance quickly at the first paragraph or so of an email.
Can't do that, because the top of the reading pane is 100% NOISE (reading pane at bottom). It's an oversize repeat of what is in the email list, and, on smaller screens, blocks 100% of the email message. If I want to see a picture, and all the other
extras, I can open the email. In 99.9% of all my emails, the picture is a placeholder anyways.
And if you click on it to try and scroll it, you mostly get the empty placeholder social crap to pop up, causing even less efficiency, as you try to get it closed. Seems to be designed for light, casual use, not for IT professionals.
So, can the layout be edited? Nothing that I can find so far.
    Rick Hantz

This is driving me crazy too! Enough that I have wasted an hour of business time to try and find a solution. For some, this may be a casual social application. But, for everyone I know it is a business application. For those of use that want "information
at our finger tips" an option for a compact header would be great. It's too bad we can't edit the entire header display.
Perhaps the dev team could offer us a header view dropdown that offers none, compact and social.
So far I have been disappointed with the general design of Outlook 2013. All of the office tools are used by myself and my peers as business tools not casual social media interfaces. An application should be designed of it's audience and not driven by trends.
Additionally, I also agree with all of the messages I have read on the internet complaining that the flat grey look is not easy on the eyes; perhaps distracting, possibly wasting productivity time. I have make sure my laptop screen is positioned just right
so I can distinguish one thing from another. I have tried the limited grey color choices.
Lastly, is there a way to stop the scroll bar from popping on and off as I go back and forth from the Outlook folders and the list of messages pane? I have a lot of folders and a lot of messages. Aside from
the visual annoyance of it's flashing on and off, it is annoying to not know where my scroll bar handle is when I am moving my mouse into the folders pane. I would prefer just to have it on at all times.
    Thank you, Bob

  • Single Outlook mailbox for multiple users on the same PC

    please now see below.
    Thanks

Guys, I think I may have figured a very simple work around, which at first glance appears to be working.
And I can't believe that i'm the only person in the world done this ???
    1. Configure email account/s as normal.
    2. Create a folder in the root of C and name it some thing obvious like "Outlook-Share", and give all PC users full access.
    3. Rename outlooks "Personal Folder", something obvious like "Shared Email", then move the PST file to the "Outlook-Share" folder.
    4. Open outlook and when it moans about not being able to find the .pst, navigate to "Outlook-Share"
    Close Outlook.
    5. Using Office Tools "Save my settings wizzard", save the office settings to the "Outlook-Share" folder.
    6. Log in as the new user, and use the "Save my settings wizzard" to restore office settings to this user profile.
This PC is not yet on the internet, as I'm on a development domain, but i created a mail in User1 profile which is sitting in the outbox waiting to go.
I then logged in as User2, and could see the mail waiting in the outbox. I created another email and sent this to the outbox.
Logged in as User2 and can now see 2 emails in the outbox.

  • JSP tag addition and subtraction possible?

Hi, I need urgent help. I am not a jsp guru pretty much all the java work I have done for the past 6 years has been backend stuff. I am now having to maintain a JSP/Struts/Spring/Hibernate project which I am not familar with (any of the technologies!!!!).
Most of the fixes required for the project have been small issues (adjusting a query here and there - changing a heading on a jsp page etc). I have a problem where a value being displayed in a column is incorrect.
Consider the problem where you have an available amount, a used amount, and a total amount. Currently it is showing the used amount and the total amount when it should be displaying the available amount and total amount.
Is it possible to do something like available amount = total - used?
              <c:forEach var="stat" items="${locationStats}">
              <tr>
                   <td class="label"><c:out value="${stat.statCode.name}" /></td>
                   <td class="value"><c:out value="${stat.amount}" /></td>
                   <td class="value"><c:out value="${stat.total}" /></td>
              </tr>
              </c:forEach>so what i need would be ${stat.total} - ${stat.amount}. Is this possible?
    They are both int datatypes.
              <c:forEach var="stat" items="${locationStats}">
              <tr>
                   <td class="label"><c:out value="${stat.statCode.name}" /></td>
                   <td class="value"><c:out value="${stat.total} - ${stat.amount}" /></td>
                   <td class="value"><c:out value="${stat.total}" /></td>
              </tr>
</c:forEach>Here is the kicker I am not actually able to test this code....so if someone can tell me whether this will work I can send it off to our QA department.

    c) you need <td class="value"><c:out
    value="${stat.total  - stat.amount}" /></td>
If value of stat.total = 100 and stat.amount = 90, it would display the difference 10 (which is what the OP wants)
as opposed to "${stat.total} - ${stat.amount}" in the OP's post which would display
    100-90.
    Good catch, pgeuns :)
Note in my post, I had ${j-i} as opossed to ${j} - $ which was exactly the point Pgeuns made too.
    cheers,
    ram.

Hi all,I have a question regarding Office365 and a non-standard mail setup. The manager of 5 staff wants to have a single mailbox that all 6 staff will have access to.The inbox structure looks like this:Inbox

No, Im not saying ACS cannot cope.
Concurrency and latency are very different things. ACS CSTacacs can handle many 100s of simple authentications/authorisations per second with users in the internal database. If 1000s of devices all send traffic in the same instant it would take some seconds to work through the backlog of traffic.
Also, worth considering that a limited number of tasks within ACS (or threads) can actually handle a much greater number of "logins" because they are generally multi-message allowing ACS to keep lots of plates spinning.
If users are in an external databases the latency (per authentication) can increase depending on where the users are (eg Windows AD) and if bad enough can have a serious effect on the overall authentication rate. At which point customers normally turn to load balancing.
If your device timeouts are 20 seconds (totally reasonable) I suggest the issue is more likely to be something else... a bug, perhaps specific to v4.2?

  • Mail Merge embedded into Outlook Form template - Outlook 2013 - possible???

    G'Day!
After some learning, I've been able to create a form outlining a few things I need the mail-out to contain....but now I need to embed the Mail-merge from .xls listing into the message box at the top of the form.
I can mail-merge and I can promote the form to the end users/recipients - but can I combine the two into one email-out to around 2000 people?
    Any suggestions welcome!
    Thanks!

You can't use the default Mail Merge feature to merge to a custom form. You'll need to use VBA to automate this instead.

  • Additional custom event possible ?

    Hi,
when switching from one layer to another a custom event is required (for instance when clicking a button). Now I would like to use a "select" event from clicking a data point in a chart to go to another layer, instead of adding a button to my screen. Unfortunately, the transition between layers cannot be triggered by the select event. Is there any option or workaround to trigger an additional custom event when the select event is triggered ?
    Regards, Christian

    Hi
I have noticed this problem as well, currently this is how it works one reason why I can see that it works like this is that when a table is loaded the first row is always selected so the navigation to the next layer will always be envoked.
I have tried to solve this by placing the elements in the same layer and using visibility conditions to display or hide specific parts of the application.

  • Outlook searching shared mailbox

I am very confused with this issue with the different answers on all the forums
Is it possible to search for items in a shared Exchange mailbox when starting in the primary email address.
If so, what are the requirements to get this working?
I have read a lot about .ost/.pst files being required (a shared mailbox does not add these locally by default).
I know that I can log into OWA and then successfully search for items but that makes no economic sense if I'm using Outlook.
Is there a simple work around to achieve searching the shared mailbox.
