Additional PO attachments in 11.5.10.2

Hi,
As per our business requirements we need to attach some additional files with the standard PO e-mail notification. This attachment can be at header level or line level. My question is
1. first of all is this possible that notification sends these attachments to approver.
2. If it is not possible is there any workaround for this.

Additional Encrypted Attachments

Hello,
Thanks in advance for your help. I wanted to see if there was any way to allow an Adobe Reader user to add encrypted files (attachments) to an existing security envelope created in Acrobat? If we send a security envelope to someone without Acrobat, can they respond with their own Adobe encrypted docs. Buying Acrobat for all of our users is not really an option. Also, we could encrypt outside of Adobe, but we're hoping to cut out extra steps.
Any thoughts?

Reader cannot modify pdf files other than comments or filling out form fields and signatures when allowed.

Dunning letter via email with invoice attachments

Hi Experts,
We have requirement where in dunning letter should be send to customer via email along with invoice attachments.
We have copied standard script F150_DUNN_02 to custom one as per requirements and configured it in SPRO. We are using BTE 1040 to fetch the customer email address and assign it to structure c_finaa-intad.
This serves the purpose partially. The email goes to customer with dunning letter as an attachment properly.
The question here is how to send additional invoice attachments in the same mail? For example, if dunning letter contains 3 line items, then email should have 4 attachments( 1 dunning letter and 3 invoices).
Is it possible by some config steps? or please suggest me suitable approach to solve the problem.

Hi Partha,
Here are the steps that you can follow :
1. Using following SPRO path assign the dunning form.
Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business Transactions > Dunning > Printout > Assign Dunning Forms
2. There is standard BTE (00001040) that is provided by SAP which is called when dunning is run. SAP has also provided sample function module SAMPLE_PROCESS_00001040 to indicate how to use the BTE. The FM imports I_KNA1 strutcure and pass back structure C_FINAA.
3. Copy the standard FM to custom Z-FM and using I_KNA1-ADRNR fetch customer email address. If email is maintained, set c_finaa-nacha = 'I' and c_finaa-intad - <email>.
4. You can also set the title of PDF file in email by setting c_itcpo-tdtitle as per requirement.
5. Goto transaction FIBF. Settings-> Process Modules-> of SAP Application
6. Add new entry with Process 00001040, application FI-FI and function module as custom FM created in step 3.
Above steps are enough if you want to send dunning email to customer. If there is a need to send invoices as an attachments along with email then there is a need to enhance the standard FM PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE. I used following approach to achieve the purpose.
a. I created another custom FM to send invoices which I am calling from PRINT_DUNNING_NOTICE. For this, I am using implicit enhancement option to modify standard code. With this option, I am able to send 2 emails back-to-back one with dunning letter and other containing all invoice attachments with respect to dunning letter.

Save Data to a Static Form then re-open for adding attachments

Greetings,
I have an issue with a form that I would like some help solving.
1. Form designed in Designer 8 using pdf "image" and laying fields on top.
2. Form is saved as a static 7 PDF.
3. When form is opened in Reader (not sure which version(s).) the form needs to be saved with input data AND then reopened to add attachments later.
The problem seems to be that I can save the data to the static form but then seem to lose the "handle" on the form for later opening and addition of attachments.
Anyone have any ideas?

Try this. By naming the file before hand using a file path control (or a constant on the block diagram), it will write to the file without prompting.

Mailing directly from iPhoto creates .txt attachments for each photo

When I am in iPhoto, and I mail several pictures directly from iPhoto using Apple Mail, the resulting message gets sent with a .txt attachment (presumably with the photo file name) in between each photo. So if there are 30 photos, there will also be an additional 30 text attachments.
This is extremely annoying and confusing for the recipients, is there anyway of stopping this? I did deselect the option to send the titles and comments, so I have no idea why it is inserting these extra text attachments.

I tried toggling that option and testing it, and it still showed the extra .txt attachments. I looked at the files, and they are blank 4k attachments. Now if I add comments between the pictures, this text shows up in these attachments.
I noticed that in iPhoto, if you email directly using the Email button there, and deselect comments and titles, the pictures are inserted into the message with a few blank lines of text in between. When the mail is sent these blank lines are converted into text attachments.
I did an experiment and sent an email by manually attaching pictures in Mail, and ensuring there was no spaces or text in between them, and it worked. No text attachments. The moment I inserted some text or even blank lines between the photos in the message, it sent these as additional text attachments.
I tried switching to RTF format messages instead of Plain Text (which I use by default), and it still did the same thing.
I guess it's just how Mail always wants to put the picture in the body of the message, rather than just attach it to the message without displaying it on the screen... Is there a way to turn this automatic display of attachments off when composing?

Not receiving forwarded emails on Exchange and some attchments

This is not only happening to me, but everyone in my entire organization every sine iOS 8.0 came out, and the issue continued with 8.0.1, 8.0.2, and 8.1. The issue is pretty persistent as well.
When someone forwards an email to us, we are not receiving the forwarded email, just the email that they are composing. I verified that each and every time, there was an original email, but it does not display on the iOS devices... across the board.
In addition, some attachments are not coming through when sent; this happens when receiving an original email or forwarded email containing an attachment. I have been able to replicate the issue on every device with varying emails and attachments.
This issue also only started happening once we upgraded to 8+, never on any version of iOS 7.

How does the iphone Bluetooth fit in your ear?

My last bluetooth headset kepted falling out of my ear. Does the iphone fall out of yours? I noticed it looks like it goes off one size fits all model no additional ear attachments to make it fit your ear size or conture. Please advise since this will utimately effect my buy decision.

I just bought a bluetooth at the apple store but not the apple bluetooth. I bought the discovery 665 which is sold at the apple store. I believe it is much better than the Apple ear peace although I haven't tested it. The Discovery has differnt size attachments and fits very comforably in your ear because it is a rubby/gel type material.
Plus, it is cheaper and suppose to reduce background noise especially while driving. And it has volume control too!

Mail locks up on launch - still sending huge file?

I tried to send a 400mb file and Mail crashed. Now every time I launch it, it just cycles the little gear and then locks up.
I think its still trying to send the file. I have attempted to use the pull down to the gear and hit the red stop signs, but the system stalls first and I need to force quit.
Can the app (Mail only) be re-installed fresh from the install discs?

No reason to re-install the Mail.app which rarely resolves any problems with the application.
With the Mail.app quit and using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail > Mailboxes > Outbox.mbox.
The Outbox.mbox represents "Out" in the mailboxes drawer and is shared by all accounts.
Delete the Outbox.mbox and empty the Trash.
Launch Mail and a new Outbox.mbox will be created automatically within the Mailboxes folder and this should resolve the problem.
It is impossible to send a 400MB file as an email attachment with any email client or via webmail since most, if not all ISPs and email account providers have a limit on the overall size of received and sent messages.
For example, a .Mac account has a 10MB overall message size limit for received and sent messages and most ISPs and email account providers have a similar limit.
Email account providers also have a server size limit for all received messages and many have only a 10MB allowance. Both of my POP type accounts have a 10MB server size limit for all received messages so even if it were possible to send a message with such a large file and you sent the message to one of my POP accounts, it would be rejected at the incoming mail server since I have only 10MB of server storage space for all received messages.
In addition, all attachments must be encoded before being sent via an email client and the Mail.app uses MIME 1.0 for attachment encoding which is the internet standard.
The encoding process increases the size of the pre-encoded file by roughly 50% or so. A 400MB file will be roughly 600MB after the encoding process.

Peripherals don't show on desktop

I have a new intel iMac (about 3 weeks now). Previously, my WD firewire drive would show up on the desktop. Additional USB attachments (Sansa mp3 player, card reader, etc) would show up. Right now nothing is showing up. I have tried the re-configuring and restarting, etc. Any suggestions?

Dynamic Indicator/Control on GUI

Is there a way to dynamically change a control or indicator on a GUI's front panel without using a Subpanel? I'm specifically thinking about an application which contains multiple hardware configurations. Each configuration is an Object-Oriented child of type "UUT" with different control/indicator configurations.
I have an example which uses sub panels, but I'm looking for something that can use the Class control directly instead of creating an additional control

In a word, yes. More specifically, I want to be able to use the control in the Class. However I could live with creating
a type def and then have that be my class control.

I'm not saying that there's anything necessarily wrong with that except for the added complexity.
Have you had a chance to look at the example I created? Is that like something you do?
I think I'm coming to the realization that there may not be a perfect way to change a control on a gui without a subpanel.

Mail Crashing due to overly large message in OUTbox

I've found much on the discussion board when it comes to messages in the inbox, or in the folders of a mail account, but I am having problems because of a huge message in my outbox (I know, it was dumb for me to try and send it but i was desparate.) So everytime I open mail, it runs and runs and runs and then crashes. If I can get it open and then quickly try to delete the message, it starts to copy the message but then it crashes anyway-- it seems like a run time error only it doesn't give me an error message, it just quits. Is there a way for me to delete this message without it needing to copy itself? I just want to get rid of it so I can go back to using mail! Help please!

FYI - Most ISPs and email account providers have an overall message size limit of 10MB for received and sent messages.

As a general rule of thumb, MIME encoding increases the size of the pre-encoded file by 50% or so. A pre-encoded file that is 5MB in size will be roughly 7.5MB in size after the encoding process.

How can I end my LV7 program externally?

Hi. I developed a DAQ application in LabView 7.1 which is intended to be running 24 hours a day. The PC is protected with an UPS which can safely shutdown WinXP in case of power failure.
Now, before ending windows I would like (I really NEED) to end my program safely by means of a windows command or something like that, issued by the UPS. I mean, I need to tell my UPS how to end my program.
Note: By now I'm running my VI from LabView, but soon I will complile it as a stand alone application (with the application builder).

Sure, here is the main, the buffer and a vi to set a value in the buffer.
It's not much though. I also included the build script.
The main just displays a string from a buffer
. Set String.vi puts a string
in the buffer, the string stays in the buffer until something else is put
into it (you can run set string again).
I set the text in main.exe by executing 'main.exe "Set String.vi" '. I do
thing a global should work too, but only when a vi that sets the global is
run like this from the command line.

Add PO additional attachments links to approval Notification

Hello,
I have a requirement: when a PO approval notification is sent, I need to add another section in Notification to list URL Links of all po attachmnets. I am not talking about sending attachments in the email. My requirement is on notification itself which is viewed from worklist. When the user clicks on the attachment link, the corresponding PO attachment should open up.
I am not sure how to achieve this, the POAPPRV is customized and we are adding customized header and lines in approval notification. But I am not sure how to add a URL link. Please help.

As far as I know, you don't need OFA extension.
Can you open the workflow in Workflow Developer and verify that the requisition details are populated using the PO_WF_REQ_NOTIFICATION?
Depending on your version, Oracle may be using a different package. Find that package and make some simple change to verify.

ManageCustomerIn Webservice - Update Customer with additional attachments

I am attempting to use the webservices to maintain an account and update the account with attachments. Since users will be interacting with the UI and adding attachments, we only want to add new attachments to the list that is already there. When i attempt to do this through C#, the webservice requires me to specify the document folder property "DocumentListCompleteTransmissionIndicator" = true. If i don't it fails but even if i specify action codes to the folder of Item02,Item04,Item06, the document still overwrites all the attachments in the list. Any ideas on how to process it using C#? We have tried using a third party soap tool to process manually and it doesn't require the list complete property and adds the document correctly.

Just an update:
reapplying the update finally installs the new agent 10.3.4 - at least on most PCs.
Only our helpdeskt complains about a lot of calls due to popup messages during the update - the update always continues - but users are worrrying. Here are entries in system-update.log:
