I am trying to open a .mov file with QuickTime, but every time I try, I get the message that additional software is needed to play it. A pop-up window then directs me to a page where I can download a handful of different components. I have no idea which one, if any, would help me to play the movie.
I can press the "play" button, but I only see a black screen, and there is no audio.
I am not very tech savvy at all, so I'm not sure what informatin would be necessary to help answer this question, so I'm just going to copy down some of the video's properties:
VIDEO

-Total bitrate: 2192 kbps
AUDIO

I don't know what else to try.
It's a complicated world with Windows and Apple and media formats. Microsoft ended support for the Mac OS and their proprietary Windows formats when they switched from the AVI container to the WMP container formats.
Apple (QuickTime) hasn't "changed the rules" and offers both Mac and Windows users a version of their product. Backward compatibility (older formats) still works in most cases.
But your file is really WMP (based on the codecs). It may only work on a Mac that also has a software "bridge" know as Flip4Mac.

I am trying to play a .mov movie I had on a mac mini on my macbook. I have Qt 7.2 on both machines. The movie plays fine on the mac mini but I get a "additional software is required..." message when I try to play it on the Macbook. Do I need to download one of the QT plugins from the apple website?

Ensure that you have two and for now only two installed (by you that is, not Apple) codecs - Flip4mac ( the free one) and Perian V1.0 (free) and that generally solves 95% of the issues like this. Expunge DivX, XVid, 3ivX , Casio etc., once you have Perian.

First Check the setup as described by Atif,
Also in OBC4 you will not find HBKID field, for this u need to select appropriate FSG, Under Payment Transaction Group please check if own Bank field is optional or not. by doing this as optional system will show House ban Field in Payment Tab of FB60, will be enabled and there will be two field one for House Bank and Other will be for Account ID.

you should be able to find the SCA files in service market place using these component name.
Interesting to know why would you migrate from 7.0 to 7.1? or you just want to PoC? I don't think SAP will you support you unless you have made a very good deal with them.
I also heard the version of web channel will bring some really good feature though it's still based on NW 7.0 with ehp, are you going to "migrate" it once again?

Additional customization is required for HR WF (HR trans Event trigger)?

Hi Friends,
I am trying to raise one event from one HR transaction (Create Appraisal). But same event id is being generated always in the standard program. So I tried creating one Z program and called the function module SWE_EVENT_CREATE and commit work. Still it is generating the same Event id always (00000000000000001). I tried to trace the event but it is not tracing anything, I am just getting one ON and one OFF. Can anyone please suggest me any additional customization is required for HR transactions workflow triggering.

That's slightly misleading I would say.
SWEHR1 tells you which object types and infotypes it is possible to have events created for. It is SAP data and you should definitely not modify it.
SWEHR2 tells you which event creations SAP have set up already. It is SAP data and you should preferrably not modify it.
SWEHR3 is your customer event linkages. If you want to have events created for an object type/infotype combination SAP hasn't defined, or you want additional events or other events for a combination SAP has defined, this is where you should perform your customizing.

When leaving some pages being browsed [http://i40.tinypic.com/xp3qcx.png this message] pops up. Disabling the Quicktime plugin seems to stop the message from showing up, yet I'd rather not disable the plugin if possible. If I click "Continue" there is no software to download, just an informative Apple page that doesnt help. Also from what I can tell there is no Quicktime media on the page. It's a web portal for Zimbra Email.

Use the QuickTime Player Movie Inspector window to view the codec used in the file.

What software is required for running Flex?

For flash to run on a webserver, we just need to place the .swf file on to the web server. No install required at the web server.
How about Flex? do we need to install a specific webserver? is there a server side coding or to run a ISAPI filter for windows? Insights would be appreciated?
Also for a developer what will be required to start of Flex development? Do we need to buy software from Adobe? or is it just a Scripting language that we can run on any windows pc?

There is no special server required. You simply drop the compiled swf file onto whatever server you are running.
Think of Flex as the client-side UI. Generally you communicate with some sort of server-side code through standard services such as SOAP or REST. It can does this directly or you can route through JavaScript for another layer of maintainability (so you don't necessarily have to recompile if something on the server-side changes).

Adobe of course offers their own pay IDE for it which is Flash Builder 4 (formerly Flex Builder). It is an Eclipse-based standalone or plugin. There are free plugins for Eclipse and NetBeans, but they are very weak.

Minimum requirements for Quicktime Streaming Server with +200 viewers

I'm planning on buying an Xserve to use it for streaming live video to about 200 or more viewers with Quicktime Streaming Server, at a bitrate of a 300 kbits/sec, that is 60 MBit/sec. I saw a second-hand Apple XServe G5 2x2.3Ghz. Is that enough, or would I need to buy the latest quad-core Xserve?
