Additive cost not picking in costing run

Hi!
I am using additive costing , while doing costing run system is picking up additive cost for header material, that when BOM exploding, but not picking additive cost for componenets.
for us componets are also having price control "S", standard cost esimate has to run. as per valuation variant planned price will be consider for the standard price for components, where there is no BOM
any suggestions on this?
why additve cost is not picking for materials where there is no BOM explosion.
regs,
ramesh

Hi
If child is not having BOM - Then Maintain a Special Proc Key 20 in the Costing view of Mat Master and whatever price you maintain in the Planned Price Fields -can be released as a cost estimate
In that case, If you maintain additive cost, it does not make sense.. You can straight away maintain the requird price in planned price

  • Entitlements not picked up at run time

Hello, I have a question regarding entitlements and WLP9.2.
I have set an entitlement on a book. The entitlement checks that the "lang" attribute in session is equal to "ja" (japanese).
In my portal I have a changeLocal jsp, a changeLocal portlet and a backing file that actually changes the value of the "lang" session attribute:
request.getSession().setAttribute("lang","en")When I hit the portal main page I'm presented with english content and the entitled book is not displayed on the menu (default language is "en" and the resource is entitled to appear only if locale="ja"). So far so good.
If I switch to Japanese, the menu link still doesn't appear. I have to refresh the browser to have it on the menu or, alternatively, select one of the other menu items.
When I switch from Japanese to English again, the entitled book remains in the menu and it only disappear when I refresh again the browser.
It seems that the Portal rules engine does not evaluate the session property after the change locale request.
Any idea on how to solve this problem?
    Thanks
    Luciano

    Hi
The way we had worked around it was redirect after set and in another case an explicit button for the user to click, saying your changes have been set, now click here to continue which makes the second request.
I suppose a filter which traps these request and set's the values before passing on control to the portal would also work.
The reason i believe this fails till the next request is, the entitlements have to be calculated before the portlets pageflow is executed (after all you may not have access to the portlet). Im not sure if there is someway to clear the cache and force the reload.

  • Automatic Clearing Program  not clearing in production run -

    Hi All,
I am getting strange problem. I am trying to execute F.13 transaction code and When I run in test run mode its selecting all the relavent POs for GRIR clearing. But when I execute the same in Production run, its not at all  picking the  POs for GRIR clearing. Can anyone explain me why its not picking in Production run........

    Hi Chandra,
you must check the criterion of automatic clearing in the two environnements (test and production). may be there are differences. if it's the case you make changes.
IMG path for the criterion of automatic clearing :
Spro > Financial Accounting (New) > Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable > Business Transactions > Open Item Clearing > Prepare Automatic Clearing
    hope this helps

Please check above process and let me know if any details are needed for further.
    Thanks,
    Venkat

    HI Venkat,
Sorry Venkat. It is the clarance in F-54 not the Revesal.
After clearance, the amount 29.000,00 is posted to Vendor Spl GL. So nullified this account.
Once cleared, the amount is posted to Normal Vendor ac as 34.510,00 (Doc 1700000043)
So this doc is not picked in Payment Run.
Invoice amount is 49.623,00-.  So the difference 15113 (49.623,00-34.510,00) should be cleared in Payment run. It is not done.
My assumption is there is the amount difference between Normal Vendor to Speial Vendor (34,510 - 29000).  Is it the cause to not picked the doc 1700000043 in payment run.
Please advise what I can do?
    Thanks
    Venkat

  • Additive cost not seen in production order and while settling hits PRD

I am using additive costs for my product costing via CK74n.
Cost estimate looks good since I have the valuation variants setup to include additive costs.
But when I see the production order that is being created, all others costs are being considered except additive costs. They are recognized but not as a line item instead as a variance. When I settle the order the costs actually hit price difference account and not even the GL account that I had assigned for the additive cost. SAP did not consider the cost as variance even if it was showing up as variance initially. This as I understood is partly because of the settlement rule that I have in place which tells SAP to go and settle on the material (which is standard SAP to do since I want all the costs from the production order to settle on the eventual material going into stock) so SAP went on to settling on the material. Since the material is set as standard price the variance is being booked as a price difference entry.
Ideally I would have expected the additive cost getting debited to the order and credited to the gl account that I assigned for the additive cost. The eventual cost (incl. additive cost) should hit the inventory.
    Am I missing a step?

    Hi Sapluver,
Appreciate your prompt response..Please see my response in italics
Few queries related to your post.
    1. So your standard cost got two part, one with quantity structure ( materials, labor, OSC etc) which the system cost automatically and one manual part, which is your additive cost. While costing system picks up this manual part from CK74N.
I hope this part you got correct. Yes, the cost estimate is reading from both the qty structure and the additive costs and the cost roll-up is coming up correctly
    2. Now in actual cost controlling, i think System is not sure how to valuate your additive cost actual part.I agree, the additive cost does appear in the cost analysis section of the production order but does not show up as a line item initially. Instead it comes up as a difference item right in the bottom of the screen after totals have been displayed without any line item reference. As if the system is not sure how to display the line item. Once I have done the material issuance confirmation to the order, the additive cost got picked up correctly as I have set it up in the cost component structure as material overhead but again shows up only as variance
Which method you used to debit your production order with additive cost, is it a normal journal entry or through some automatic posting through routing ( example OSC through Purchase order/Good Receipt).I probably need to understand your point more clearly? I am not manually debiting the production order at all for the additive cost. I was expecting SAP to debit the order the same way it does for overheads. Overheads too initially show up as variance but then when we run the overhead calculation KGI2 the overheads costs get debited to the production order. Was expecting similar behavior for additive costs. I am receiving the finished product from the production order into stock via MIGO goods receipt movement type 101. I was expecting the debit to happen perhaps at the time of settlement via CO88 but here the system posted it to the price difference account via account key PRD. This I understand the system did because the settlement rule is set to post all the costs on the material and the material has the valuation control as standard price; so the system is seeing the additive cost as a price difference hence posting it to the price difference account.
System is unaware of the additive cost from actual cost point of view, there is no specification to additive cost from costing variant for actual cost. So you have to debit the order with the additive cost part.So do I manually debit the order with the additive cost? What about the price difference additive cost sitting on the order? Would appreciate if you can tell me the process steps for posting this correctly

  • CK11n Costing Run does not pull purchasing price from info record.

    Hi,
I have material which is a semi finished product (Material type: SEMI) and is purchased from a fixed vendor (specified in the source list).
The costing run does not pick up the purchasing price from the purchasing info record but
instead incorrectly picks up the standard price from the material master (Costing 2 view).
Can you please help me solve this issue?
    Thanks,
    Ketan

    Execute OPL1
    or
SPRo>>IMG>>Controlling>>Product Cost Controlling>>Cost Object Controlling>>Product Cost by Order>>manufacturing Order>>Check Costing Variants for Manufacturing Orders (PP)
Select the costing variant in the table from "Change Costing Variant: Overview" Overview Screen
    Click Detail Button
Click Valuation Variant Button in the Control Tab
Change View Valaution Variant Detail Screen Appears
In Material Valuation Tab Set Price from Purchase Inforecord as Priority 1 if you want to use Price from Purchase Inforecord for semi-finished product during CK11N
You can list down Priority 2 to 5 depending on your requirement
    This would solve your problem

  • During costing batch price is not picking

    Hi,
    Thanks  in advance,
We activated  batch valuation type with FIFO activation for materials procured externally , while running costing system  not picking batch price, it is picking moving  average price ,
    Thanks and Regards,
    prema.d

As a std procedure while creating PO price won't be picked from contract.  Rather you need to create a PO w.r.t the contract. In that case PO will take the same conditions stored in the contract.
Else if you are working with sourcelist, then you need to define the contract as a source of supply.  In this case when you create PO system will pick Contract as source and contract price will appear in PO.

  • Add addition import duty cost to materials  for costing run

    Hi All,
Whats the best solution to add the additional cost of import duty on materials imported into China?
Is adding an additive cost (CK74N) possible and the best solution? This way it will be picked up automatically in costing run?
    Cheers
    Tony

Thanks Jeyakanthan. Can you give me more details though?
Are you saying to configure the additive cost? Assign it to the materials in question and then run the costing run?

  • Future price not deleted after cost run

    Hi all,
If a material master has the future price maintained on the Accounting 1 view, then it is picked up in the next cost estimate that is created.
Costing strategy is Future price, Price from PIR, Standard cost.
However, I have been told that once the Cost estimate has been created, the future price is deleted from the material master. In this way the cost accountant can delay the release of a new standard price to avoid large re-valuations.
The future price is not being deleted following our cost run, can anyone advise on this?
    Thanks
    Phil.

Future prices will not delete when a cost estimate is released.  If the Future Price is ACTIVATED (no cost estimate involved) then the Future price field will clear because it is "rolled forward"  in the same manner that a Marked cost estimate is rolled forward to the Released Cost Estimate, leaving the field Future Planned Price on Costing 2 blank.
Be very careful with CKME - it will activate future prices and release future planned cost estimates, but it does not stop and show you what is about to be activated or released and the financial impact.   We wrote a custom transaction that had CKME report what it is going to do, so we have a chance to review the infomation.

  • The additive cost can not display on the work order plan cost

    dear friends
first i run the ck74n for the additive cost ,second i run the ck11n for cost estimate ,i can see that the additive cost update to the standard cost successfully ,at last i run the ck24 mark and release the standard cost, but when i raise a work order ,i can  not see the additive cost in the plan cost ,i do not know the reason ,do you have some suggestion
    thanks

    Hi
This behaviour is expected and standard...
In Std cost estimate, you have the option of inputting components manually in CK74N... But the actual costs in Prod order will come either from Material issues/Activity Confirmations or manual postings from FI... There is no option to enter additive costs in actuals.. Hence, there is no option of "additive costs" in the Planned costng variant of Prod order
If you enter any additive costs in CK11N, It is done because you cant estimate it through Qty Structure.. But, during actuals, the actual costs are all available through Material issues/Activity Confirmations.. hence, the additive costs does not apply here

  • Moving average price of subcontracted material not picked for Cost estimation

    Hi Experts
    I have the below scenario:
    Finshed Product A has components B, C.
C is a subcontacted material and it has its own BOM with components D & E.
We are maintaining moving average price for the subcontracted material C, (because the subcontracter is adding X & Y in addtion to the components D and E, which are sent from us).
In the mateial maste of C, Procurement type is F and Spl. procurement type 30 are maintained.
When i do costing for the Finished product A, moving average price of C is not picked up (where as system calculates the std cost for C by adding the values of D & E and purchase info record price).
Is there any way to Calculate Price of A by using the mvg avg price of C.
I maintained the below valuation variant settings.
If i remove the spl. procurement type 30 in the material master of C, it picks up the mvg. avg price. but it affects the MRP planning of  items D & E.
    Please advice.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Bala

    Hi Big choi
    Thanks for your response.
    I understand.
    1. if we maintain spl. procureent key 30, system calculates standard cost based on raw material and service charges.
    2. If we don't maintain spl. proc key, it considers the material as purchased and picks the mvg avg price from material.
But, is there any way to pick the moving avg price from material master eventhough i maintained the spl. procurement type 30?
    Thanks

  • Cost estimate (CK11N)is not picking the overhead cost for some of the mat

    Hi all,
we are facing a problem. The overhead key is defined. the calculation base is defined in the cost sheet. But the overhead cost is not picking  for some of the materials
    Bad Material 5019-0581 via CK11n.
As you can see in the itemization, only the material and the routing are listed.  No amounts from the OH of ZPTA ( .10).  It should show a line #5 with an amount of (28 quantity  x .10) = $2.80 added to the Total value.
first three line items it is picked from material and fourth line item from the internal activity.
the fifth item from G overhead is not picked.

    Hi,
Check whether u have assigned the cost sheet in u r costing variant which is being used in CK11N.

  • Cost not picking from Inforecord

    Dear All,
As per our costing strategy, cost should be pick up from  inforecord but strange part is that for one of the material the cost is not picking from inforrecord.
The inforrecord is not marked for deletion, this material has only one valid inforecord which is active , this infrecord is not maintained in other plants, we don't maintain outline agreements.
Am I missing anything on this?
    Quick responses are appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Hi Rajneesh,
Thanks for response. Our Valuation stratagey is as below.
    Planned Price 1
    Cost from Purchase inforecord
    Standard cost
We did not update the planned price1 and  we have valid inforecord , still at the moment the cost is picking up from current standard cost.  Strange part this is not for all material , for some materials this strategy is working fine as per costing strategy. Even I compared these materials , everything is same.
No clue for me, appreciate your reply.
    Thanks

  • Planed delivery cost- account is not picking in MIRO?

    Hi,
Here in pricing procedure even though for the planned delivery costs condition type - account key and account is assigned in obyc & even then the relevant GL is not picking, instead only manual account assigned GL only picked up always kindly let me know the possible causes?
when I create a cost centre based PO with acct assignment category K, the GL which I am assigning in PO only picked up..
kindly let me know the possible causes for the same?
    regards,
    ARCHU

    Hi,
1st one should know where & how account assigned PO will be used.If you used account assigned PO(lts say K), then during GR, you will have account entries
    Consumption A/C :Dr
    GR/IR Clearing A/C: Cr
During MIRO posting, the GR/IR Clearing A/C as accounting entries:
    GR/IR Clearing A/C: Dr
    Vendor A/C: Cr
Check the link how GL account for a material group is treated, when a purchase order is created with account assigned  with material group and all assignment done in OBYC , OMQW & OME9.

  • Mock costing run not updating with recipe changes to labor and overhead

We have made changes to the labor and overhead values assigned to a master recipe.  We are trying to determine what the new standard cost will be when we do our costing run at the end of the the month.  However,  when we do our mock costing run using CK40N it does not reflect the changes we made to the labor and overhead it still pulls in the old values.  We have tried this in our test system on several other products and it has worked for some materials but not others.  I don't think it matters but the material we are costing is a semi finished good.  Any ideas?

Problem has been resolved.  Thank you!
