Additonal data printing along with print data

Hi All,
We had configured ir3570 canon printer, when we are testing the printer some additional data is coming at the end of last page like the below one.
USER: rssadm@sap3
              Title:     29-1
               Date:   Mon 09:57 Mar 26,   2007
               Job: hr54- 2
How to remove that additinal data....
Any suggestions plz....

Hi,
I had checked in SPAD for OS cover sheet option i didn't found that.
Can you guide me how to make that change .
In SP01 i had observed that OS cover sheet is on, how make the OS cover sheet settings changes permenentely.
In sp01 changes are temporarly only.

When I print a MS Word document, an unwanted document summary is printed first that includes Filename, Directory, Template, etc., Total Editing Time, etc. number of : words, pages. and characters.
Does anyone know how to request this special page?
Or how to shut it off?

Hi CharlieM1,
I understand you are getting an unexpected (and unwanted) document summary page whenever you print something from Word. Take a look a the following, Stop summary sheet from printing with document. Scroll down to the first suggestion following the question. The replier explains later in the thread that the "Office button" is just the File tab now if you are using a version of Word later than Word 2007. I hope this is helpful. Hi,
If you have created a table maintenance..
You can use SM30..
Press maintain button..
In the menu..Table view -> transport...Then select the entries include them in the CR.
If the transport menu is not enabled..
Go to SE11..
In the table maintenance generator...Choose the radio button which says "Standard recording routine" and then save..
Now the transport menu option will be enabled..

Printing Smartform with Table data from PrintProgram

Can any one explain the steps involved in printing the Smartform with the data from the Print Program table. How to fit table in the Smartform i.e, while designing the Smartforms layout for the table.

As data is coming from the print program in the table. Do the following procedure
1. In the form interface ---> Declare the internal table as same structure as in the print program. for ex: you r passing MARA table data then declare it as itab type table of mara.
2. In the window you want to create the table, right click > create> table.
3. Go to data tab give the internal table name and work area .
4. Now go to General tab-->Details.
5. Declare the line types.
6. Right click on header/main area/footer -->create table line.
7. Now give the line type which you want to use.
8. In the displayed columns>right click> create text node.
9. In the text node &mara-matnr&.
Procedure to create line type:
1. Double click on table
2. Go to table tab --> details
3. Give the table width (width you want to display on the screen should be less than or equal to the window width).
4. Line type --> Divide this into no of column you want to have in header/item.
Note: total length of all columns should be equal to the table width.
5.save.

Publish book - print sheets with no data

hi all,
i would like to use the option to print sheets in a book with no data but with printing to pdf. i have tried to select the option when printing to an actual printer, but then selected also the option to print to pdf, but this does not work.
is there a possibiliy at all to print sheets from a book with no data to pdf?

I traced the NetStream info under case "NetGroup.Neighbor.Connect":

I think I have not asked my query properly.
For Maintenance Order, each order print out will be taken separately as a print out by using some template. Do you want the equipment master print out in that manner?
Else you want the details of general tab & characteristics tab as columns like equipment list report?
I hope my question is clear now.

Parsing Parameters Along with XML Data

Is there a quick and dirty way of getting the "payload" XML data from an HTTP POST coming to an XSQL page as well as some extra parameters that describe the data, for example, a CRC code?
A colleague has shown me Java code for "catching" the POST that deals with "heterogeneous data" and is quite involved. Is there a way I can accomplish the same "catch" using an XSQL page without calling out to a Java program? I combed the "Oracle XML Applications" book and couldn't find anything dealing with this topic.

A custom XSQL action handler can do:
getPageRequest().getPostedDocument()
to get hold of the posted XML content. There's no other way to reference it as a parameter in a page. You could write a custom action handler that returns the contents of the posted document as a string like this:

Attachment printing along with Work order

i used search functionality..but I couldn't able to find any solution to solve my issue.
I have one requirement with my client...
They attach some documents(Picture or word docs etc...) to Maintenance order through attachment funtionality whcih is available in the left side of the screen on the top.
This attachments they want print automatically along with Maintenance order when ever they want.
Any one come across with these kind of requirement...pls through some ideas on this.

This will be a custom development (telling windows to print a document). In the past I created this based on SAP DMS, but the same can be done based on the object linking you mention.
Please take care that this will not work properly with background processes. Also windows printer can be different from the SAP printer.

HP C309a All in one Printer - Problems with printing documents the correct size.

Hi I recently purchased an HP 309a as a replacement for an EPSON printer which had to be replaced a couple of times so I thought I would change manufacturer.
The HP printer prints well in post places but when I print from Excel on an A4 scale it only prints 3/4 size on an A4 page. I tried everything to get it to print the correct size. I have adjusted the settings to scale to A4, print boderless etc and it just will not print correctly.
It seems to be ok in Word and many other programs so I don't know why there is an issue with Excel. Iam I missing something, please help.
Also is there any way to default the printer to A4 automatically instead of 8" x 11".

I also have issues using this printer with Excel/ Word.
When I am using Excel or Word I have to remove the HP 309a as my default printer.
when set as default, excel and word just "hang" for up to 3 minutes when opening or saving.
I called HP who said the printer works with all other files so basically it's tough. One of their tech guys tried to sort it out but couldn't.
Has anyone else had this same problem? If so, how was it resolved?
£300 for a printer that doesn't work with MS. It's not funny and I won't buy HP product again.

Going back on your issue.. the basic step would be.. take out the inks then close the door... what error message you got? If it's saying "Missing Ink Cartridge" just hit OK. Unplug the power cable at back of the printer, plug it back in.. Clean the copper contacts on the ink cartridges using a lint free cloth then reinstall them. Let me know if it resolved it or not.. I can only give basic troubleshooting here

This problem was introduced only with the most recent Java update.
Notes:
There is no workaround for the applet author, other than to use a signed applet, which is prohibitively expensive, and which should not be required for printing, anyway. It's difficult to instruct the user in how to grant the appropriate permissions via policy files, since the finder will not allow a user to create a file named ".java.policy" in their home directory, and since the system policy file is write-protected.

Data Pump issue with nls date format

I have a database with nls date format 'DD/MM/YYYY HH24:MI:SS' from where I wish to take export from. I have a target database with nls date format 'YYYY/MM/DD HH24:MI:SS' . I have a few tables whose create statements have some date fields with DEFAULT '01-Jan-1950' and these CREATE TABLE statements when processed by Data pump is getting failed in my target database. These tables are not getting created due to this error
Failing sql is:

The table create sql which adds a column as ' VALID_FROM DATE DEFAULT '01-jan-1970' ' which I think is the issue. Appreciate if someone can suggest a way to get around with this. I have tried altering the nls of source db to be same as target database. Still the impdp fails.
Database is 10.2.0.1.0 on Linux X86 64 bit.

With Oracle characters between single quote marks are STRINGS!
'This is a string, 2009-12-31, not a date'
When a DATE datatype is desired, then use TO_DATE() function.

Error in flatfile load - date not compliant with user date settings

Hi,
I want to load a flatfile into BI 2004s.
so i created a flatfile datasrource, transformation etcetc.. all fine so far.
the file contains 2 dates in format YYYYMMDD and are loaded in DATS infoobjects (also yyyymmdd).
but when i load the data into the PSA it immediatly dumps with error message "19771009 does not match the user-dependent date format --> long text"
the long text sais 19771009 does not correspond to the date format that is assigned to the current user BIWREMOTE. which is correct.. cos there date is DD-MM-YYYY
when i change the date format in the user settings to YYYY-MM-DD it works fine...... in the forground. In the background,whatever i do, it dumps with this errormessage.
so i have 2 questions:
since when is, while loading to the PSA, the date format linked&checked with the date format in the user setting? i cannot recall ever having this issue.
did anyone encounter this problems.
