Addon is not compatible with Firefox 33.0

I am unable to use an add-on on Firefox 33.0.2 I recently installed it, and found that it is incompatible.
Is there any other solution other than reverting to an older version of Firefox?

Please read that bug I linked you to and let me know if the last comment in the bug solves your problem. Apparently the problem is about the addon .xpi file being read-only. Try right-clicking it, going to Properties and unchecking the "Read-only" attribute box at the bottom of the dialog. Click Apply, then OK.

According to a random website... the HTC Wildfire S uses a Qualcomm MSM7225 processor. This processor unfortunately does not support the full ARM version 7 instruction set, so Firefox cannot run on it.

Mail Merge not compatible with Firefox 31.01. How do I fix this problem?

Hi everyone currently seeing this.
I downloaded Mail Merge from the add-ons for Thunderbird.
I tried to install it from file in the add-ons page and a message appeared saying Mail Merge could not be installed because it is not compatible with Firefox 31.01.
Can anyone please tell me what I can do to fix this problem.

You can turn off compatibility checking, but more and more of the Google Toolbar will not work. Google is no longer supporting the Google Toolbar so you should use the alternatives.

Shockwave Flash above version 11.2.202.235 not compatible with Firefox 14.0.1

I am using Firefox 14.0.1 with Shockwave Flash. If I use any version of Shockwave Flash later than 11.2.202.235 I can not watch videos such as Youtube. All I get is a white screen. If I roll back to SF Ver .235 the videos play fine. I do not have this problem with Google Chrome or Internet Explorer.

Found workaround for that problem.
# Open up the about:config page (type it in the address bar and enter) and then right-click anywhere in the about:config page and choose New –> Boolean.
# Write extensions.checkCompatibility.4.0 and make it false.
What it does, is disables automatic compatibility checking from firefox, so you could still use your older add-ons that are not compatible with firefox 4.

The college has notified us that we have to use Firefox 6 because the website is not compatible with Firefox 7.
