Address and Mail group issue

I am unable to send emails to the entire group that I have created in Address book. If I have say ten emails I cannot send email with a couple of clicks I must open the group and add each email one at a time. I have multiple Macs and only have this problem on the two newest. The older ones work just fine. I have researched this to no avail any help would be appreciated.

Snow Leopard does not work with iCloud. However you can enter the4 email settings manually - please see this page:

You can use : BAPI_BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA
In case you need to update additional fragments just search in trn code SE37 for BAPI_BUPA_*CREATE.
For example BAPI_BUPA_FRG0040_CREATE - Create classification data for BP , etc'.
Additional you can use XIF :CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE to create business partners

Default excise group and series group issue

Hi Gurus
I have a doubt. Is it possible to maintain the default excise group and series group in this order
sales org     dis chnl    division    ship pt    plant    excise group    series group
1000               EX         CD             1000     1000       10                       A1
1000               EX         CD             1000     2000       20                       A2
i tried this combination, but getting the error message that a key already exists....The header data sales area and shipping point already exists.... I cant understand why we cant give the same sales area and shipping point for a new plant combination

Hi Mathan,
When we say Excise group then it is maintained for the plant as it is maintained with Excise authorities. We can have same shipping point for 2 different plants but the possibilities are less and when 2 plants share the resources and facilities then those plants are registered as a single excise entity with the authorities. That is the reason that the option of having the same sales area and shipping point as header data is not allowed for more than one excise group. This is more business related than SAP.

Skipped Panther, address and mail not importing

I skipped the upgrade to panther, now I'm on tiger. For some reason I can't import all of my old mail, and nothing from my address book. Is there a fix or patch I can do to get them to jump over? I have important stuff in there!
Also I can't make new mailboxes in the new mail. I get this error:
MAILBOX CREATION FAILED
Unable to create path ~/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/adga.mbox.

I forget which other thread I found this in or who suggested it, but all my mail problems are solved by very carefully following these instructions:
The portions you have cited were very specific to that poster's situation. What we need to review for you, are the methods of importing an entire Mail folder taken from Mail 1.3, into Mail 2.0.
In the Tiger Mac, quit Mail, and in the Finder, open Home/Library/Preferences and locate the com.apple.mail.plist file, and delete it. Next, still in the Finder on the Tiger Mac, open Home/Library and find the Mail folder, and delete it (or drag to the Desktop, if uncomfortable).
Next place a copy (but not with Copy in the name) of the Mail folder from the Panther Mac in the Library of your Home folder, and also place a copy of the com.apple.mail.plist file into Home/Library/Preferences.
Next, in the Mail folder you have just placed onto the Tiger Mac, open EVERY xxxx.mbox file, in every account folder, and in the Mailboxes folder, and delete all files EXCEPT the Info.plist and the mbox files. Again, do this for every mailbox. If you have any xxxx.imapmbox folder, post back for further instructions.
Once all the mailboxes have been cleaned up to contain only the mbox file and Info.plist file, launch Mail. It will announce it is ready to import your mailboxes -- allow this to continue, and be patient. Once this is finished, quit Mail, and again in the Finder examine every xxxxx.mbox folder, or at least the larger ones, and compare the size of the Messages folder that will have been created, with the size of the original mbox file. If the Messages folder size equals, or exceeds that of the mbox file, delete the mbox file.
If you find some Messages folders that are smaller than the mbox file, or any Messages folders, with appended characters in the name, post that information here, and I will assist in dealing with those.
Once this is finished, again launch Mail, and test by opening your various mailboxes, and checking for messages.
Ask any questions needed to be comfortable with this, and of course maintain a copy of the files from the Panther Mac, either in it, or in other folders on your Tiger Mac.

Outlook connectivity and mail flow issue on Exchange 2010 3 node DAG

Hi,
I have 3 node DAG, 2 (NODE A, NODE B) in Production site and 1(NODE C) in DR site. but just 1 AD Site.
when I have the active databases on NODE B, everything works fine. no issues to report.
but when I move the databases on NODE A, outlook gets connected with trying to update folders. Furhter, emails will be in outbox and no new emails will be delivered to the users. After an hour or so emails get delivered from outbox.
Even after supplying the credentials OWA doesnt login. just tries to load.
No issues when I move the servcies on NODE C.
ANy idea what could be the issue?

According to your description, there is one-hour delay in the process of sending and receiving emails.
To check if it’s caused by Autodiscover service, we can use the tool Test Email AutoConfiguration：
1. Hold CTRL and Click the outlook Icon in the system tray and select “Test Email Auto Configuration”.
2. Deselect the “Use Guessmart” and “Secure Guessmart Authentication” and click Test.
3. Check SCP value returned

If connectivity is well, the issue is mostly likely caused by the Exchange mail submission service.
We can check if the service work properly. And the issue may be not related to the Hardware Load Balancer. Because the emails are stuck in the client side.

Wifi but no internet, wrong time, and mail client issues on macbook pro

A few things have recently come up that are worrying me...
1. My wifi says it is connected to my apartments internet, and yet I dont have any internet. Meanwhile. my roommate is able to get on the internet on his desktop PC. I am afraid I changed something accidentally in my network settings. It says something about unable to connect to DNS server? (I am on campus using their internet to send this)
2. My Clock is wrong. Even when I reset the timezone, it is saying the time is 3:01 am when it is actualy 11:01 am.
3. LAstly, my mail client is no lponger getting my mail. I am able to get all the messages on my iphone, but for some reason my macbook is not getting them.

Your wifi is connected to the router but the modem may be faulty. Try reporting the modem.

Photoshop coloring and layer group issue

Hello there this is my very first post but I really need some advice here.
I am using WIndows 7, I have Photoshop CS5.5 and am improving a bit in my digital illustration/coloring. I was experimenting with organization by using layer groups. When I did this and began to work on the colors, I noticed them behaving very poorly. For one thing, they always came out brighter than I intended. No matter how I tried to darken the colors, they always either fixed to a certain tint or just got brighter when I tried to darken them. I noticed them interacting with the colors on all of the other layers, even with layers outside of the group. So to get around that I tried erasing wherever colors overlapped. This did not help, it only removed the mixing of colors, I still have really bright colors on everything I paint. I did notice though that when outside of a layer group, all of the colors behaved normally! Yes I know I can just keep the colors out of the group folder to fix the problem, but I want to learn from this experience. Why do the colors misbehave within layer groups? Why do they respond with a transparent nature(for lack of a better term)? And is there a way around that?
I did check the opacity of everything and everything was at 100%. I did checkk the blending mode of the group and the individual layers, I had them all set to normal.

It sounds like your brush mode may have been changed to screen or brighten. It sould be set to normal to get your desired results.
I understand that you said all your layers and groups are set to normal. So I the above solution might help. If not, please attach some screenshots so we can understand more what's going on.

Contact and Mail settings issue ?

Cannot open Contacts anymore after iOS5 upgrade. When I try to set Mail and Contact it crashes to the main screen. I did a complete restore but the problem is still there. icloud is not activated.
Also, when I try to sync the contacts with my computer, I get a message sayng that Contact is being used and cannot be accessed. Any idea on how to resolve this?

I actually discovered that the fix for the iPhone calendar not syncing correctly was either a recent MS update (We are using Exchange 2003) and or adjustment to Sites and Services in AD. So my fix above was not the fix after all. Some iPhone users during the last two weeks all of a sudden noticed their calendars were syncing and events were filled in.
From our Windows IT Admin when I asked them what they did:
“We ran Microsoft updates weekend before last, and we adjusted the Sites and Services part of AD so that our Domain Controllers are associated with their correct location (this change rendered RPC over HTTPS inoperable (it worked about 50% of the time prior to this change, based on which DC you authenticated against)).”

FaceTime and Mail Autofill

We've got four different devices on which we use Facetime (two Macs, an iPod touch and an iPad) and each has been assigned to one of our e-mail addresses. Some of these are our regular main e-mail addresses that we use for standard e-mail as well as for Facetime.
In order to easily know which devce is assigned which address, I created four contacts with names like "Facetime iPad" and then put in that device's e-mail address. However, now whenever I send or receive an e-mail at that address it lists the recipient as "Facetime iPad" instead of my name. The problem is that there are two contacts with the same e-mail address, and Mail is always choosing the Facetime one to autofill.
I have tried going to the "Previous Recipients" option under the "Window" menu option and deleting the "Facetime iPad" listing, but that name keeps popping up. I'm going to post this over at the Mail board, but is there any way to either force Mail to use one particular contact, or to create a contact that Facetime can use that doesn't show up in Mail?

Address Book and Mail - Using Groups for e-mail

I've noticed something strange about Mail and Address Book in Tiger:
I created a new Group in Address Book. The Group contains people who are involved in a project. I have names, home addresses and phone numbers for eveyone, but a few people do not have e-mail. When a try using this Group to send out an e-mail message, Mail warns me that John Smith does not appear to have a valid e-mail address. I can't send the message unless I select only those in the group who have e-mail addresses and only send to them. This is a pain.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug in Tiger's Address Book and Mail.app? How can I get around this? I have several Groups like this that contain entries with no e-mail.

It's not a bug in Address Book, it's a limitation. Your only way to get around that is to either remove those from the group, or give them all the same email address; i.e., send those to you so you are reminded that they didn't get the email and you have to notify them some other way.
And of course, when sending to more than one person, never put the recipients in the To or CC field; they should always go in the BCC field.

Address Book groups and Mail

Have updated to Maveriks 10.9.4. Now when I want to write an e-mail in Mail to a group from my Address Book (some of which have groups within them), none of the "groups in groups" work anymore. Also the smart groups don't work. This used to be fine in Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion. How do I fix this bug?

no. all address book entries will be available when you are composing a message.
the only option you have is to completely turn off automatic address completion. that's done in mail preferences->composing.
