Address is incorrect

My company migrated to Office365 and with that changed email domain from XXX to YYY. We still manage XXX as our local domain.
Users are now reporting issues when using Lync - when they would type in the contact name it would come up with Presence Unknown and if they would send a message anyway the following error message would pop up:
This message wasn't sent because [email protected] doesn't have permissions on your organization's network or because the address is incorrect. Please contact your support team.
Address showing old domain.
I have checked the local user's contact list and there is no entry of that person with the old domain.
Also this is intermittent - sometime contact sample will work and at time not and so with other contacts.
Please advise how to go about resolving this. Is there a way to force the application to use the YYY domain?

Best practice is to keep your Lync SIP domain matched to your email suffix, this is amongst other things, to avoid the address mismatch issues you seem to be having.
If you have changed your email domain I would suggest you change your Lync domain to match. Of course this requires changes to DNS and certs. Also, if using RGS then they can be negatively affected by changing agents sip address so need to be handled with
caution.

Hence my email address is entered automatically and is 100% correct.

My account is with BTYahoo and I am able to send and receive emails without any problems.
I' ve recently visited an Apple store and discussed this problem with a genius but they said they haven't encountered this problem before so we deleted my old account and added a new one with the same information but today I tried to join another website and again the email address isn't accepted.

You need to contact Apple to get the questions reset. Click here, phone them, and ask for the Account Security team, or fill out and submit this form.
It isn't possible to add or change the rescue email address without supplying two of the answers.

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

All of a sudden I cant access my icloud account due to the email address being incorrect. The e mail address that shows up on my phone is a variation of mine but not the right one. I therefore cant enter a password. Please help.

I'd like to know the answer to this problem as well. My Apple ID changed, however my iphone still has the previous appearing in sign into iCloud. It's greyed out, so i can't change it. If I want to delete the account, which I have tried, it wants the password for the old Apple ID.

Exchange not sending mail to the correct recipient addresses when one of the addresses is incorrect

I am creating an email msg programatically and sending to the exchange server.
When all the recipient addresses are correct, the mail is sent successfully.
But if one of the addresses is incorrect, the server gives a "550 5.1.1 User unknown" error and theemail msg is not being sent to the correct addresses as well.
When this is tested via Outlook, the mail is sent to the correct addresses and there is an error mail from the server stating that the mail was not sent to the incorrect address, this is the expected behaviour.
What needs to be done to get the expected behaviour? There must be some alternative setting being used by outlook.

What you describe can happen if the AntiSpam Agents has been installed
and Recipient Filter Agent is enabled on Mailbox Servers.

Although the Recipient Filter agent is available on Mailbox servers, you shouldn't configure it. When recipient filtering on a Mailbox server detects one invalid or blocked recipient in a message that contains other valid recipients, the message is rejected.

Messages from address is incorrect

I'm using Messages, Mac OSx 10.8.2.
Love Messages, but I think I found a bug. When I type in the recipient's name in the "To" box, the from address at the bottom is incorrect. And I can't figure out how to fix it.
Here's some repo steps:
1. set up multiple accounts for yourself - one for GMail Jabber, one for Google Talk, and one for iCloud.
2. Start Messages
3. Compose a new message, and type a recipient's name.
4. Observe in the message box at the bottom (where you type your messages), it says something like "Jabber (from [email protected])".
5. The from address (in this case [email protected]), is incorrect and cannot be changed.
But, if you open the buddies list, and double click on your buddy, the from address is correct.
Does anybody else see the same problem and have a workaround?

I have 10 additional Account in addition to the iMessages one but including the Bonjour one.
Generally speaking I use the Buddy lists themselves to chat AIM or Jabber chats.
If you have one Google Mail Account and have enabled "Talk" at your Google setting then you only need to set up "GoogleTalk" in Messages.
If you do go through the Process again and list it as a Jabber account you will need to manually change the server name in the Account's > Server Settings tab.
When typing in the "To" spot it will show you the Real Names of those in the Contacts List.
If you only list a Screen Name or ID in and Address Card those will be displayed as well.
If, having created the New Message item at least in the list in the left, you use the Blue + icon you can acces the Buddies list.
This is a Combined List and is very difficult to tell which Buddy list they are from as they show Real Names.
Anyway I have several Account so I can "Call Myself"
Once I have my name in the "To" spot I can use it as a drop down
In this pic I am calling from my [email protected] account to my well known ralphjohnsr AIM name.
As you can see I can change the "From" this way.
Basically the interface can be made to work.
A partial Name reveals non Address Card Names and ID as well
Although at this point some are labelled as GoogleTalk and are not as you can see by the server names.
(I also think that there is one labelled as yahoo and it is not as there is not @ Suffix part.)
However if I chose one of them it displays the correct "Jabber" and ID in the Text field in grey text as the "From"
Summary.
The "To " spot is also where you choose the "From" options.
The Interface can be messy but can be made to work.

You can not merge accounts.
Apps are tied to the Apple ID used to download them, you can not transfer them.

Can't send mail due to "One of the recipient addresses was incorrect" error

I have my iPhone set up with two mail accounts: my personal Yahoo account and my work e-mail account ([email protected], for example). I can send/receive email fine with my personal account, but for my work account, I cannot send any mail to any email addresses that are not people at my work with the same domain name (I can send to [email protected], but not [email protected]).
I thought the problem had to be with my settings, but I compared my settings on the iPhone with how I have my work email set up in Thunderbird and even Apple Mail. They're the same! So I'm at a loss. Any ideas?

More than likely, yes, but since a MobileMe account is accessed as an IMAP account, when accessing the account with an email client you have the option to store messages on the server or locally on the hard drive or device. If your account has been compromised and someone is accessing the account with an email client on their computer, they could choose not to store the sent messages on the server so you wouldn't see them.

It's easy to accidentally enter the wrong thing when you're so used to being asked for the Apple ID password.

SMTP name for my email address is incorrect but I don't know how to correct it. Help!!

Two of my email address seem to have been joined. When I attempt to send an email from the problem address I am asked for my password but the ID listed in the SMTP request shows jerrhrt27 when the real address is jerryeg27. No idea of how it was changed or where I can correct it. This is a yahoo email address and I can send emails from there with no problem.

you have now created a second smtp and both have correct
UserName that is the same as the email address they are used by.
Check the saved passwords to see if there is an inccorrect setting saved.
Tools > Options > Security > Passwords tab
* click on 'Saved Passwords'
* There should be two smtp entries. How many do see?
* Is there an smtp:// setting for the Wrong UserName?
* If yes, then select it and click on 'Remove' and then click on 'Close'
Then check the config Editor settings.
* Click on 'Advanced' > 'General' tab
* Click on 'Config Editor' button
* It will tell you to be careful.
* In top search type: jerryhrt27
* What is shown in the list?
* Please post an image of the results.
Close window - top right X.
click on OK to save and close Options.
