Address Management: City File Active
Hi Experts,
In my project there is a strong business requirement to activate the SAP Address Validation (trhough the City and Street Files Validation). So far, so good, as this is not problem for us (we also have the values of Cities and Streets to be migrated).
The only problem we detected so far, is a functional problem, which is also deeply worrying our client: Even if the Address validation is set, when creating an address (in any object), if the user inserts an inexistent Street or City, the system shows a pop up, asking is the address is to be accepted. If yes, the system saves the object with the wrong address.
So the effort of maintaining Master Data for Cities and Streets, is useless, as in many cases, users will accept the address with erros.
Is there any standard way to always generate an error for this cases?

you may want to call the function module ADDR_SET_DIALOG_FOR_REG_DATA in a BAdI or user-exit to control the dialog.

The system only checks the name, town and postal code. If one of these fields is different the other customer master record then the message F2145 is not issued. You can get more information on this from note 176559 and 383362.

How do I turn off background ni file activity when not using Labview? I use labview rarely, and I also use my computer for demanding multimedia applications, including multitrack digital audio recording. I need to reduce as much background activity as possible, and taking a look with task manager I see files such as nimxs.exe, nipalsm.exe, nipalsm.exe, nisvcloc.exe, and nicitdl5.exe running even when I haven't used Labview (8 I believe). These files run even after I right click the NI icon on the lower right and turn off the application. I would like the computer to boot up without these files, and for the necessary files to be activated only when I start the program.
Can this be done or do I have to remove labview from the system to improve performance?
ThanksHello, those processes are part of running NI services that start when Windows boots. These processes serve varied purposes and stopping them can have undefined and unknown consiquences for your NI products. These products run at "normal" priority meaning that they should be preempted by any process running at a higher priority which I would expect your other application to be doing given their time sensitivity. That being said, in Windows XP (I can't speak for other OSes), you can lower their priorities even greater through task manager (right click the process»set priority) to further remove them from contention for resources. If you want to prevent them from running you can set the service startup type to "manual" in Control Panel»Administrative Tools»Services. Right click the process go to Properties and Under the General tab choose Startup Type»Manual. This will start up the processes only when something directly starts it up. LabVIEW will start these processes up as it attempts to use them. When you shut down LabVIEW you will need to manually shut down these processes through task manager. Again, doing this can cause problems with your NI products on your system and it is not advised.

Allow help desk to manage open files on file server
I am looking to delegate the ability to manage open files to our help desk users. They are getting an increasing number of calls from users asking about files and who has them open, or to force close them..etc.
The help desk users are not admins on our file server, therefore do not have access to RDP to the file server. I was hoping they could do it from computer management RSAT tools on their local machine. I just don't know how to allow them to do
it.

Since they are not able to RDP the FS then they should need to access files using shared folders.
For that, you will need to share the root folder where your files are. Please give Full Control permission on it. Here, to manage their permissions, you can grant them what you want using NTFS permissions.
Note that NTFS and Share permissions are combined and the user will be have the minimum of privileges when he access the folder as a share. For that, I recommended using FC permission on the shared folder to avoid additional management tasks.

I am a beginner with web design but have put my own site up and now was trying to help my church out... Remade their site and all was well till something happened and my Contact Us page's content disappeared. PRAA in combination with central address management
Hello,
In our system we have central adress management activated. All the
personell nrs are entered with the correct address (sreetname and
housenumber in 2 separate fields). We use this information to create
the corresponding vendor numbers in FI (transaction PRAA).
However, with transaction PRAA both the address (streetname and
housenumber) are copied into one field (streetname). As a consequence,
the corresponding batch input session, which is using program SAPMF02K,
cannot automatically (in bcakground) create all the vendors, since we
always get a message about central address management. (Streetname does
not exist, because it wrongly contains both the streetname as well as
the housnumber.)
The field USE_ZAV which is automatically ENTERED in the background
processing of the SAPMF02K batch job, is causing this address check.
We think this is a bug.
Ideally the PRAA should be entering the streetname and housnumber in 2
separate fields in FI-vendor master data, of the automatic check of
field USE_ZAV should not be entered in this batch input background
processing.
Can you please give us some advice on how to deal with this situation?

Flat File Active Sync - Notify admin incase of data processing errors
Dear Friends,
We have couple of Requirements to use OOTB flat file active sync adapter
1. To read data from a flat file and update the records in Sun Identity Manager system
2. Notify admin if there are any data processing errors while reading data from a flat file. The data processing errors can occur if there is an invalid data. for example, lets say the input flat file has 3 columns defined, but the file conatins records which has four values.
firstname,lastname,email
testfirst,testlast,[email protected],12345
Req#1 is working fine. There are no issues with that.
Req#2: if the file contains invalid data, i noticed that the active sync adapter throws an Array Index out of bound exception. so, we need to send an email notification to the admin whenever data processing errors occurs.
I noticed that whenever the data processing exception occurs, the active sync adapter stops processing records and the active sync input form was not triggered. Unless active sync form was triggered, it's very difficult to determine whether the data was read successfully or not.
Please let me know if there are any configurations/customizations to me made on OOTB flat file active sync adapter to handle data processing errors and send email notifications to administrators.

IPv6 Address Management and Security Questions
I'm trying to draft an IPv6-based version of our location's current routing configuration in anticipation of when our ISP will finally roll it out, and address management has been giving me the biggest headache - ironic, considering IPv6 was supposed to simplify address allocation.
My first config draft was made assuming that I would be getting a static /56 or /60 prefix from the ISP, and I was just going to insert the prefix into my DHCP pools and there would be no issues. That was before reading around and discovering that some ISPs are considering prefix delegation (PD) for both residential and business accounts instead of static blocks. Now I have questions about how to stick as close to the current IPv4 configuration as possible.
For the PD scenario, what I am looking at now are two addresses ranges for each network - a ULA /120 space that I want to control using stateful DHCPv6, and the global space which can be /64 and auto-configured. That way there will be a "private" address space for internal routing in the event of a prefix change or an extended outage. But I'm not sure how the config should look for such a scenario. What I have drafted so far is this:

Will this config work? By which I mean: will the DHCPv6 servers provide ULA addresses, and will SLAAC work for global address allocation? If not, what needs to be changed?
Also, another question. I found a few references to a prefix name (the "ISP-PREFIX") which can be used as part of a static IPv6 address on an interface, which is a good idea in case the prefix changes. But that brings up another concern - if the prefix changes, that will invalidate ACLs referencing the global addresses using the previous prefix. Is there anything similar to the prefix name string that can be used in ACLs to keep this from occurring?DHCPv6-PD is not necessarily dynamic the same way as DHCP was with the public IPv4 addresses in the IPv4 world.
While the outside network (PPPoE, DHCPv6, anything) might be truly dynamic and changing with possibly every login session, the DHCPv6 delegated prefix might be tied to your login credentials or DHCPv6 client's DUID after the first connection. A bit like a DHCP lease reservation.
If that is the case, there is some possibility that your ISP will run reverse route injection, and will always route your "fixed" prefix to the currently active dynamic "outside" address.
Talk to your ISP and have them confirm that, once the PD'd /48 or /56 is initially assigned, it won't change, and that the same prefix will be delegated every time. Then you can treat it as if it were fully static, and you won't have to go down the ULA path.
I contacted one of our local ISPs, and they're doing it exactly that way: PPPoE for IPv4 and IPv6 (fully dynamic), and DHCPv6-PD with the /48 tied to the PPPoE login credentials. I might change to that ISP sooner or later.
With my current ISP, my IPv6 access is 6RD based. I get a /60, with my current public ipv4 address (by DHCP) embedded into those 60 bits. Readressing is bound to happen sooner or later, and it happens every so often, and it breaks my IPv6 ACLs.
I'm also looking for a way to write IPv6 ACLs with wildcard bits, not prefix/mask, so I can use them with ZBFW. So far, no sign of it.
A few more comments:
ULA addressing:
It may look tempting, plausible and intuitive to use dual global and ULA addressing.
I started this way as well. However, it turns out that Windows 7 has (had?) some issues with proper source address selection. The "longest common prefix" rule never seemed to work properly. In some cases, it would pick the global address to talk to ULA hosts, or stubbornly insist to use the ULA address to talk to an IPv6 internet host. It was a frustrating experience. Be sure to test this to the full extent (and back, and again and then some more) with every operating system you intend to use.
Using /120:
Be sure to test this as well, and very thoroughly. Subnet masks longer than /64 are sometimes called "uncharted territory" in IPv6. Longer subnet masks will break SLAAC, and there may be (embedded) devices that will not react benevolently to a subnet mask other than /64, or simply lack support for DHCPv6.

I see you have "ip tcp adjust-mss 1300". While PMTUd may be mandatory with IPv6, I found it being broken already :-( . "ipv6 tcp adjust-mss .... " is now a separate command since IOS 15.4(1). I would suggest considering it, depending with your experience with PMTUd on IPv6. -

We are currently on ERP version 4.6c.
I am trying to configure Address Management in SAP.
The purpose of using it is that when creating vendor/customer masters,
the addresses should be validated by Address management
(through USPS database which my client has procured).
Problem: Is that, when I enter the State and City, I want the Zip Code
to be automatically populated. How do I achieve this?

I have linked City with Zip Code. But I can't find a way
to link the Zip Code to the Street.

I feel the solution to your problem can be achieved using a <b>qualified lookup table</b> and provide a link for it into the main table.
<i>Concept:</i>
A qualified lookup table is used when the value of one or more field is changing (Zip Code) depending upon the values of some other fields(City, State).
As per your requirement :
1.) Create a lookup table of type Lookup[Qualified Flat](muti-valued) having the following fields:-
State --> Non-qualifier
City --> Non-qualifier
Zip Code --> Qualifier
Qualifier --> field whose value is changing (DECIDED)
Non-qualifier --> field due to which value is changing (DECIDOR)
2.) Link this table to main table by inserting a field in the main table of type -Qualified Lookup.
3.) Initially you will have to populate values into the Lookup Qualified table; i.e. whenever you are creating Vendor/customer master (using Import Manager) you will first have to map State and City fields of your source to corr fields of your Qualified Lookup table(Destination Table: <Qualified Lookup Tb name>)and execute import.
4.) Thereafter map the Qualifier field (Zip code) to corr field of main table (Destination Table: <Main Tb name>). Also again map the non-qualifier (City n State) to corr fields of main table. Then right click on the Field Mapping pane - select<i> Create Compound field</i>. Map this compuond field with corr field (type Qualified lookup) on destination side. Execute Import.
I think this should solve your purpose.

I'm looking for the Excel File Activity.XLS which can be used in import Activity Data from Excel to P6. My searches have come up with nothing - ive used the code Solution ID: prim4617

File appear open twice in manage open files
Im having an issue with the manage open files in Windows server 2012. The problem is that some files appear open twice by the same user.
Im using server replication between 3 servers using the same OS and the same data structure.

Do you mean that a shared file is opened twice by the same user when you go to Computer Management -> Manage Computer -> Shared Folders -> Open Files? Please check if the use is login two servers to access the shard folder.
In the meantime, you could use Windows Live SkyDrive (http://www.skydrive.live.com/) to upload the image and then give us the download address.

i have R12.1.3 installed on guest OEL 5.5.
my concurrent manager is down.
here is the output of adcmctl,
when i start using the above utility, ICM becomes active but after a min it again goes back to inactive status.
it would be great if someone can help me on bringing this up.
