Address Style in TCA

I would like to change the address style in the fromatted address. I do see that the formatting is done in the package hz_format_pub. Where in the application can I go and change the order of the various styles. The current data is stored in the table, hz_style_fmt_layouts_b, and I would like to change it.

TCA API create_location creates locations irrespective of the address style

Hi All,
We are using Trading Community Architecture API for customer conversion. We have address styles setup for Canada and US and we have attached these address styles to the respective countries in the territories window.
But when we use create_location API for creating location and then a party site for it, it allows us to create the locations even when we dont pass in a value for the REQUIRED fields setup at the address style. We expected it to error out.
Does anyone have idea about how this works. We want the API to validate the addresses we enter for locations with the address styles we set up.

You can create a wrapper package on top of the API (hr_location_api.create_location)
In the wrapper package you set all the values dynamically based on your requirements(say the style and add_line columns are populated on your conditions) and then you call the API.

It should decide at run time means at run time it will come to know the type of address style and based on that only the fields which belong to address details mapped to calling hr_location_api.create_location.

Can some one help with this iRecruitment issue.

Just enable the context for the other countries within the definition of the address flexfield. You should then get a drop down list of countries, select it and then the flexfield definition of the address will refresh according to your selection.
Check that the original definition of the address flexfield on the personalisation page includes all the other contexts.

Error 'Invalid address style' when create new address Legal Entity R12

Hi,
Did somebody had the same problem like i do.
I am trying to create a new dutch address for a new legal entity in Oracle R12.1.1 Vision, but however hard i trying to do so i always received the error message 'Invalid Address Style' and i filled in all the required field.
When i tested with the country 'US' or 'Australia' is could create a new address without any problem.
I hope you can help me to solve my problem.

Hello Sandeep,
You were right, I checked the dff for the address style and activated the once for the countries I needed and now I can create new address for the required countries by using the legal entity configurator.

u can use Smartstyles for Address Node , when u create it USe OUTPUT OPTIONS TAB Next to GENERAL TAB and include the Smartstyle and use the Paragraph format in the GENERAL Tab and Output Starts with Paragraph:

Oracle TCA different customer address based on Purpose

Hello Everyone,
We have the following requirement:
A customer has a bill-to, ship-to addresses.
In addition to that, we need to capture additional information for the purpose 'Install At'.
But the information that we need to capture for 'Install At' purpose is different from the Ship-to or bill-to address structure.
So my question is, can we have a different address style based on the Purpose?
As per my analysis, it looks like we can only have 1 address style? Because even when i attach a different style to another country, when i select that country during customer site address creation, i still see the address style that is for the original country of installation.
Any ideas how can i achieve my requirement.

Error when updating customer Address

Hi All,
I am getting follwong error when using API hz_location_v2pub.update_location to update customer location
The address cannot be validated because no geography mapping exists for this country. Please contact your system administrator.
Any idea how to resolve it ? I have looked into Note 549057.1 in metalink and it doesn't work for us.
We have done following setup with Regard to address(location)
Flexfield : Address/Receivables
Context Code : IRELAND
Name : Ireland Address Style
Segments: Address1,Address2,City & County.
We havn't touched any other part of TCA. Do we need to do anything extra here?

Missing City Code in Receivables Customer Address

We want to add ALKMAAR, DELFT, ZEVENBERGEN as Cities to select from while creating a customer address. Where is this List of Values coming from? Is it extendable. New eBS user, please explain if possible with your reply.

Follow the following steps to search for the value set in which all the cities are listed:
1. Descriptive Flexfield Segments --> Query for Application =Receivables - Title: Address
2. Open Segment for the Context where you see your country Address Style assigned.
3. You will see the City value and a corresponding value set name attached.
4. Go to System Administrator --> Validation --> Set
5. Query for the Value you found in step 3 and see whether it is an independent value set or table. The you will be able to add the new cities you want.

Employee Address Entry (Address Stype pop-up window not come in R12)

I have implemented Oracle HRMS (11.5.10.*). But now I am going to implement HRMS in R12 (12.0.6).
My Problem is, In 11i when I would want to enter any Employee Address a pop-up window come to select address style
by In R12 there is no pup-up window come. But My client requirement is to use different address style.
Anyone could help me to could i get the address style pup-up window.

Error: Ship to/Bill To Address is Invalid. Please review the Address Setup

After Upgrading to 12.1.3, Orders are failing during Import/Scheduling with "Error: Ship to/Bill To Address is Invalid. Please review the Address Setup" whenever Tax Engine is called. And this is happening for only specific addresses (that are vaild). I will appreciate any experience/suggestion on this regard.

Regarding Address in Selfservice

Hi Group,
I am customizing self service here I need to save a address for different countries. The problem is that when ever i chose some other country the it throws an error saying ID GENERIC for the flexfield segment Address Style does not exist in the value set $FLEX$.DF_CONTEXTS the other problem is that I am not able to see the address which I am storing in People screen under address.
Will be looking forward for your suggestions.

How do I validate my already validated email address?

I just updated my appleid to the new email address style format, and now itunes and my iphone both want me to validate the email address, but both claim it is already validated.
I attempted to use the applid.apple.com website to manage / validate my email, but no matter how many times I click the resend button, nothing comes.
Any ideas on how I can get my address validated?

Try resetting the Apple ID password.
