Address won't show up when creating a calendar event

I created an event like "Lunch". As location I started typing the friend's name, as her address is stored in Contacts on my iPhone (and synced over iCloud). The friend's address, though, won't show up. Besides, a friend's address, whose first name is the same, was shown.
This means that just the address that I'm looking for is not shown, but some others do show up! It doesn't make any sense to me.
Any hint? Is it kinda bug (for what??) or what else?

I need help to figure out why my photos won't show up when I try to upload them online (e.g. Facebook, Pinterest, Google+). All of my photos are in iPhoto and it used to work fine until I updated to ver 9.3 a coupe of days ago. When I open iPhoto, it shows all the images but when I try to upload something, I couldn't find my photos so I end up copying them to my desktop first which is very inconvenient, especially if I am uploading severa photos. It works alright when I attach photos in Outlook though, so I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong here. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks a lot!
PS I did some screen shots if that would help explain things better. By the way, my OS version is 10.7.4, if that is relevant at all?

Where did you get the phone?
If you see an ICCID unknown in Settings>General>About, that indicates a catastrophic failure. Very often this is caused by hacking or jailbreaking the phone. It can not be fixed. The phone will have to be replaced.

I tried turning iMessage on and off, rebooting, hard reboot, signing in and out of my Apple ID but nothing seems to work! Any suggestions?

You are doing all of the right things. Just keep trying. I never owned an iPhone until last week, and I was having fits getting my phone number to appear in my settings. I signed out of Messages and FaceTime on my iPhone and my iPad and just kept trying the whole cycle over and over until it worked. It took about 4 or 5 tries before it finally worked.
Sign out of both apps on the phone and the iPad, then start with the phone and sign in again on that device first, then try on the iPad again

Event Entered in Calendar on my Laptop Won't Show Up on my Phone Calendar

I use Calendar every day and enter events both on my phone and on my laptop. I never have a problem with the calendars syncing up, but out of the blue I have a couple of events which I entered on my calendar on my laptop and they just won't show up on my phone calendar. It's weird. Everything else syncs up. Has anyone heard of this being a bug? It's disturbing to think I can enter an event on my calendar on my laptop and assume it will show up on my phone and it doesn't. I must be the only one with this bug because I've googled it and have found nothing. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Creating a calendar event

I'm trying to create a calendar event or appointment. The first thing to try is using Siri. I tell it to create an appointment on such and such a date and it says "okay, Here's your event. Would you like me to create it?" When I say yes, The response "sorry, I can't do that." Ha ha, very funny, Siri. So then I decided to do it manually,by opening the calendar program and Tapping on the day and time I want to create the event, but nothing comes up. As a last resort, I open the iPad user guide for iOS 7, and while it has entries for such things as searching for events, changing your views, and setting up invitations via a Microsoft exchange account, there is no entry on how to create an event! How do I do this?

You should be able to create a event two ways.
1 Tap the plus sign in the upper right corner, then make you event.
2 Hold you finger on the calendar day until "new event" and the window appears as in the screenshot below.

When I record calendar events on my iphone or ipad I use a 24 clock, which is the basis on which my business runs. I cannot do the same on my Macbook, which is very frustrating and counter-intuitive (i.e. using am/pm). I asked my Apple support here in South Africa. The rep' said he could not answer immediately but would get back to me. I'm still waiting. Surely this is not a 'big' or 'unusual' problem?

SRM 7.0 - Unconfirmed PO limit items not showing up when creating Invoice

Hi Guys,
For PO standard items, when creating an invoice and is unconfirmed, these items still show up in the invoice screen and the invoice gets created with the status 'Waiting for preceding document'. For unconfirmed limit items, these items do not show up at all in the creation of the invoice and displays an error. My question is how will I make the unconfirmed limit items scenario work just like the standard items scenario whereby instead of the unconfirmed limit items not showing up and generating an error, they will show up and have the invoice created with the status 'Waiting for preceding document'?

Previously, when you tried to add an address like Level 2, 23 Sample Street, Melbourne, Calendar would prompt you with the nearest address that it found in Apple Maps. If you clicked the selection, it would add a Map to your event. If you didn't, or simply hit escape, it did nothing.
Now in Yosemite, the Calendar completely ignores your choice and automatically replaces your address with the address it thinks is correct. So for example, if you type in an address like Level 2, 23 Sample Street, Melbourne and it finds the street address within Apple maps, it simply replaces your address with 23 Sample Street, Melbourne, completely removing the Level or Apartment number that you typed in as part of the address.
The only way I've found around this is to completely mangle the address by typing something like Level 2 - 23 Sample Street - Melbourne, which is obviously completely annoying and unsatisfactory.
If anyone has another suggestion or a way to fix this, I'd love to hear.

When I try and setup an appointment, I cannot see invitees so I can invite folks to accept my calendar event I have an iphone 4.

It sounds like you are not getting notifications for new text messages that are coming in, and you must manually check the app. I recommend checking the Notification settings to see if they are configured correctly:

iOS apps can provide three types of notifications:
Sounds: An audible alert plays.
Alerts/Banners: An alert or banner appears on the screen.
Badges: An image or number appears on the application icon.

Photo won't show on cover of Iphoto Calendar after dragging and dropping

Every year I create a calendar on Iphoto and I have always been able to troubleshoot everything myself.
This time, I am stumped. The whole calendar is ready to go but for some reason, the photo I added to the cover will not show up. I am using the same photo later in the calendar without a problem. In fact, when I hover over the picture it tells me that is being used on the cover and on page 11...but I can't see it!
The title underneath the photo will only show when I click on the text box. Once I click away from it, it will disappear.
Anybody? Christmas is approaching fast and I need to get this into production ASAP to mail to Europe.

It sounds like you may want to try restoring your phone and then re-syncing the content from your computer to see if the information will show up after that procedure. Information on doing that can be found right here:

Palm Desktop 6.2 automatically shuts down when trying to create/edit calendar events

I have a Palm Pre and PD 6.2 installed on my computer. Right now I have Win 7 on 32 bits installed but I have encountered this issue also on Win XP 32 bits SP3, Win7 64 bits, on my machine and also on other machines.
PD shuts down automatically when I do any of the following actions:
-Calendar - Right Click - New Event - PD Shuts Down
-Calendar - Left Click to create event - Type some text in - Then click outside the event slot - Then right click on the event - Click on Edit or Repeat - PD Shuts Down
-Calendar - Import an existing event - Then right click on the event - Click on Edit or Repeat - PD Shuts Down
My PD6.2 is clean. I have re-installed my OS on my machine for many times. Just right after the install when I go to Calendar and I try to create/edit and event it shuts down. I have tried on some other machines. I have tried also on WinXP - same results.
I have trying to remove the datebook.mdb file out of Documents\PalmOSDesktop\Devicename\Datebook, but still with no luck.
The only thing that comes to my mind is that the installation might be corrupt, but I'm not doing anything abnormal, I install PD following the recommended settings. I have downloaded PD 6.2 from Palm's web site also. I just don't know what to do.

You are correct this is a result of a corrupt install. Is there anything that could be connecting the installs of Palm Desktop? Like the same CD being used, same download file, or the same data?
Here is the instructions for a clean uninstall:
You should first make a copy of your data. If you have Palm Desktop 4.2 and lower you can copy your user folder by going to C:\Program files\Palm or PalmOne. Once in here look for your username and right click on it and copy it. Then open up My Documents and Pasting it in here. If you have Palm Desktop 6.2.2 go to My Documents/Documents --> Palm OS Desktop. Copy the folder(s) in here and Paste them in My Documents/Documents
Now you will need to uninstall Palm Desktop. First go to Control Panel and in XP go to Add and Remove documents, in Vista Programs and Features. Then look for Palm Desktop and uninstall it. Then go to C:\Program files\Palm or C:\Program files\PalmOne and delete this folder. If you have Vista you will need to go to here:
C:\Program files\Palm
C:\Users\[Vista Login Name]\appdata\local\virtualstore\Program Files\Palm or PalmOne
C:\Users\[Vista Login Name]\appdata\Palm or PalmOne
*Note you may need to view hidden folders to get to appdata. To do that go into your Control Panel and open folder options. Go to view tab and uncheck hide hidden files.
One this is done you will need to delete some registry keys from your registry.
Word of warning, going here and deleting the wrong thing can cause your PC from starting up, crashing and deletion of programs and data. If you feel you are unsure of your self see if you have a friend that can help you or a PC technician that you can pay to help you. This will show them everything they need to delete. To help against this we need to do a backup.
Go to start and run type "regedit" without quotes
Highlight MY COMPUTER, go to File --> export. Should pop up with a Save As box. Current location is fine should be in My Documents. In the file name on the bottom type "backup[todaysdate]" i.e. backup07072008. Next, the hard part.
Easiest way to make sure your doing the right one highlight the key i.e. Palm Quick Install, and press delete on your keyboard. It will ask you are you sure. Say yes. Do the same thing for all keys below.
If you make a mistake, stop what you are doing. And call a PC technician. BUT do not turn off your computer.
The Registry keys are as follows (Note: some of these Registry keys will not be here but if they are, delete them)
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Palm Quick Install
* HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\PalmOne File Transfer

Next reboot your computer
Then reinstall your palm desktop from the CD and do a hotsync. If it asks you for a username and you synced your device before, put in 'test" if you did not sync before create a hotsync name.

IPhone 3G using iOS4.2.1 won't show Contact's anniversaries in Calendar

iPhone 3G using iOS4.2.1 and it won't show a Contact's anniversary in my Calendar. Both are iPhone apps. I just go in to "Contacts" - choose someone - "Edit" - "add field" - "Date" - "anniversary" then choose the date and "Done". But when I go to Calendar it is NOT shown on the bottom with birthday events when I highlight that day on my month view.

Anniversaries and birthdays are entered differently in Contacts. Birthdays that are transferred over from Contacts are those that you have specifically entered using the Card>Add Field>Birthday in Contacts. If you used Card>Add Field>Dates to enter your anniversaries, dates entered that way are not transfered over to iCal. Only the "birthday" entries are picked up.
Although to you a birthday is an anniversary of one's birth, it must be entered using Contacts' birthday field in order for iCal to "see it" and transfer the date. Hope that helps.
