ADDT Downloading

Help downloading a file that errors out.  Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox - Trial Version.  I start it and then it comes back with Operation cancelled.  Can you fix this problem?
I have the file now.  I received it by searching the entire world...btw, I didn't use one that has the 'serial code.'  Would rather just use the trial version....Like I want to in the first place!

What are you downloading to and how?
Launch Image Capture and connect the 4s to our Mac.  There you should be able to download the photos to a folder on your hard drive.
If you plan on deleting the photos from your 4s confirm that the photos are safely on the hard drive before deleting from the phone.

    Hi Guenter
Just so you know. You should remove the download trial link from the official addt page on this site. It is there for download, but nothing happens. I was expecting a notification as promised on email, when addt was released. But no such email.
I have after a total reinstall of all my system MAC OSX 10.5.6 finally succeeded in installing all of Design Premium CS4. (Shame on adobe for making this such a hastle!!!).
But when i install ADDT 1.0.1 downloaded today it appears in my extensionmanager, but nowhere to be found in DW CS4. I have restarted DW before checking and all seems to appear ok in Extension Manager.
What could this be and are others having same issues

  • Advice on ADDT Export Recordset as XML Tutorial

    Hello all,
I recently had a situation where I needed to use ADDT's "Export Recordset as XML" behavior. However, the "Export Recordset as XML" behavior creates a php page that generates the XML when the php script is run and the resulting XML is published to the browser.
Unfortunately, I needed the php page to not publish to the browser, but to write the generated XML to a real XML file. I looked for help in the forums, but I was unable to find any information regarding this and it seemed some people had been looking for this ability.
I was able to figure out how to use ADDT's "Export Recordset as XML" to write the XML to a file when the ADDT created Export XML php page is run.
I want to share a brief description on how I did this. However, I had to modify the ADDT file "XMLExport.class.php" to get this to work. The modifications are are very simple and easy. You just have to comment out a few lines and change an echo to a return in the "XMLExport.class.php" file.
Before I take the time to write this up, I wanted to be sure it's ok to explain in these forums how to edit ADDT files. I know the license agreement allows me to modify the code for my own use. But does the license agreement allow me tell other's how to modify the code?
At the top of the Adobe "XMLExport.class.php" page you see this:
Adobe permits you to use, modify, and distribute this file in accordance with the terms of the Adobe license agreement accompanying it.
Rather than try and decipher a license agreement, I thought someone, probably Gunter :), might be able to let me know before I go to the trouble.
    Thanks,
    Shane

    Hi Shane,
But does the license agreement allow me tell other's how to modify the code?
As this snenario isn´t explicitely mentioned respectively prohibited, I don´t see any problem at all with telling folks how to modify an ADDT "includes" file, though I´m not sure about the "distribution" aspect, as - to my understanding - an original or modified ADDT file can´t be offered for download or sent to others per email or whatever else might qualify as "distribution".
My suggestion for remaining on the safe side :: just write a tutorial and tell folks how to modify whatever file, because merely providing an information about a modification certainly doesn´t tangent the "use, modify, and distribute" definition of the license at all -- however, it´s the reader of your tutorial who´s having to decide whether the suggested modification is in accordance with the terms of the Adobe license agreement, though this shouldn´t be a problem as well, as they´re going to modify the code for their own use :-)

    Hi Drongo79,
while I personally agree that the tutorial´s layout could be better and some more explanation could help improve the understanding, just let me add my 2 cts:
    1. writing *good* tutorials is pretty hard, and learning how to get there does take some time and experience -- plus helpful response from others, which Waleed rarely gets at least in these forums.
    2. let´s not forget that Waleed is not a native english speaker/writer, what makes it extra hard to get one´s stuff across to a mostly native english audience which seems to expect perfection -- that´s something I know myself, and it has admittedly taken me some time to understand that this requires some extra care.
    3. "This tutorial does not work"
well, if this statement were addressing one of my tutorials, I would have to ask you to provide some more details like what exactly doesn´t work -- the fact that something doesn´t work, may have many reasons, and this statement alone is way to too blurry to be helpful.
    4. "A bad tutorial is worse than no tutorial".
Maybe you´re right, but Waleed is currently the only regular ADDT user who *does that*, and this deserves some acknowledgement.
    5. "Please go away"
a little harsh, don´t you think ? I´d rather prefer him to *continue* contributing tutorials, and I´d prefer others to help him improve his writing without dispiriting him.
    6. "look at what you have built from the eyes of someone who is not a developer".
To my experience there´s one particular pitfall which any tutorial writer will always stumble across -- the question "who am I writing for ?". There´s no easy answer to that, and no matter what you´re writing or how, you always risk to fail addressing the requirements of one part of your audience.

  • New Computer - How do I transfer ADDT?  Part of PreRelease Group

So sorry to ask this dump question - but I've looked everywhere and I'm confused about how to get ADDT onto my new computer.
I don't see a link to download, or instructions on activating.
I was part of the group that transferred from Kollection Pro 3.0 to ADDT. (Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox Upgrade Program - April 2007).
I have the original email from registering for the program which indicates that "Please keep a copy of the package on your hard drive because the access to this program is subject to time limitations."
I need to make sure I'm downloading the Pro features and that I get the lastest updates.
Can you give me some direction on how to do this?
I'm sure I have the old download file - but I'm not sure what the name was (or if I should even install that old file instead of downloading the latest copy).
Further - how will we get upgrades in the future if the program is closed.
I can give all kinds of information about what version is on my old computer - etc. I have all my records, etc. Just not sure what I'm supposed to do.
    Thanks, April

    Hi April,
I guess you should have your Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox Serial number in your Interakt account (see "My Products") which you can use for installing ADDT (available for download from the Adobe website)
that I get the lastest updates
it´s still the very first ADDT version 1.0 - no updates since then
I'm sure I have the old download file - but I'm not sure what the name was
If you´re on Windows, the ADDT 1.0 installer file is ADBEADDT_WWE_Win.exe

  • How to make "MXKollection + ADDT" work with php 5.3+

    Hello Everyone,
I am back again to this forum after i suffered a lot while trying to use my old website created with "MXKollection" and "ADDT" tools, i have faced a lot of deprecated functions along with the "Registration" + "Login" + "Send Email". Even there is a lot of fixes for other plugins that terminated by Adobe such as: "MX Dynamic Charts" + "MX Site Search" and even more.
** Now for the "MXKollection" and "ADDT" tools please use the following patch:
    - Download the patch from here.
** The source of the patch and other useful patches for "MXKollection" and "ADDT" tools can be found here:

    Jacob,
it worked for QA. They where mentioning the problem with mod_osso configuration in forms90.conf file. This is from their answer on how to change the configuration (guess you know that, but maybe other reading this thread don't)
    1. Open %IAS_HOME%\forms90\server\forms90.conf
At then end of file, there is one line for mod_sso
    #Forms mod_osso authentication directive #<IfModule mod_osso.c> #<Location
    /forms90/f90servlet> # require valid-user # AuthType Basic #</Location>
    #</IfModule>
    2. User must change the format like this
    #Forms mod_osso authentication directive
    <IfModule mod_osso.c>
    <Location /forms90/f90servlet>
    require valid-user
    AuthType Basic
    </Location>
    </IfModule>
    3. Restart opmn
    4. Run a test form
If you cannot connect even when specifying the userid in the URL in non-SSO mode, the my assumption would be that the tnsnames entry is not working okay. Are you sure that the SQLPlus program you use uses the same tnsnames.ora file of the same home (Forms_BI Home) ? What happens if you specify the connect information in the formsweb.cfg file under the application definitions
    [myApp]
    userid=username/passw@db
If this still displays the logon screen then obviously there is a configuration problem that needs to be chased down. Let me know if you can establish teh connection from Forms when defining username/passw in the formsweb.cfg file.

  • Addt with cs4

I have addt 1.0.0 for CS3, is it possible to use this in CS4?  I cant find anyway to upgrade it although this site says there is an upgrade.  When i try to load this with CS4, it tells me i need CS3.  I have a new machine and bought a new copy of CS4.  Do i have to load CS3 first and then upgrade to CS4?

ADDT version 1.0.1 will run with Dreamweaver CS4 as well and can be downloaded from here: http://www.adobe.com/support/dreamweaver/addt/downloads_updaters.html

  • ADDT 1.0.1 Compatibility Patch for PHP 5.3

It doesn't appear this link to Interakt's PHP 5.3 patch for ADDT 1.0.1 has been posted here yet.
    LINK: http://www.interaktonline.info/files/47-ADDT-1.0.1---PHP-5.3-compatibility-patch.html
If you have trouble having the download dialog box open like I did, just right click on the Download File and save as.
I had over a dozen websites developed with ADDT and this patched fix all my PHP 5.3 issues.
I simply uploaded and replaced the 18 files that come in the patched zip.
There is also a step-by-step guide on how to update the files on your own if you rather do that.
    GUIDE: http://www.interaktonline.info/article/42-Making-Adobe-Dreamweaver-Developer-Toolbox-compa tible-with-PHP-5.3.html

The flavor of the Microsoft SQL Server Driver for PHP that you enabled in the php.ini file is the Thread Safe VC6 version. Therefore, you’ll need to install the appropriate version of PHP run-time (i.e. VC6 x86 Thread Safe) from http://windows.php.net/download/.
When installing PHP, you should select the IIS/FastCGI option, and then establish a mapping between IIS and php-cgi.exe. In other words, your IIS configuration should point to the PHP CGI executable and not php5.dll that happens to be the Non Thread-Safe PHP run-time.
Moreover, the library ntwdblib.dll is not needed anymore.
On final note: it might be worth upgrading your IIS to at least version 6.0 that was optimized for FastCGI usage.
    Hope this helps,
    Serban

  • Which versions of DW work with Which ADDT?

    Hi,
I've been using DW MX 2004 with the Interakt Kollection.
When Adobe took over Interakt I took advantage of the offer to download ADDT, but have not used it yet.
I'm now ready to start using ADDT, and to do so I'll need to upgrade to a newer version of DW - I just want to check that the version I have of ADDT (I assume it was the original version) will work with DW CS3.
I ask because the system requirements for ADDT currently state that CS3 is required, but when I downloaded the version I have, DW 8 was the requirement, so I'm concerned that there is now a newer version of ADDT.
I hope all this makes sense!
    Thanks
    Steve

    Hi Steve,
ADDT is still compatible with DW CS3 only
but when I downloaded the version I have, DW 8 was the requirement, so I'm concerned that there is now a newer version of ADDT
it´s still ADDT version 1.0, and the official pages still say you need DW CS3 -- where have you seen that "DW 8 required" statement ?

  • Please Make a Downloadable Copy of ur forum Archive

    Hello,
Hope somebody from Adobe is listening.... Please make a Archive version of the ADDT and especially Interakt Forums as a downloadable CHM or HTML archive..
Because I am pretty sure suddenly one day they will disappear.
There is some valuable information in it..
And we have some products which need support and minor changes..
Although they may be using the SO CALLED OUTDATED technologies aka classic ASP.
Whatever I know whats important for a developers commitment.
Well if Adobe cannot provide it that I am willing to take an initiative and Archive all Forums.
If somebody has already done this or this is a link which I might have possibly overlooked then please do point me to the same.
    Thanks.
    Sincerely
    Mohnkhan

  • Is ADDT in active development?

I have recently downloaded the Adobe Dreamweaver Developer Toolbox trial and have completed the tutorials available for it on the Dreamweaver Developer Center. In 2003-2004 I was using InterAKT's products off and on, but I'd left web design altogether during the MX Kollection period. Now that I've returned to web design, I find that Adobe has acquired InterAKT and the ADDT product is what remains. Initially, I assumed this was a good sign for tighter integration. I thought that I'd simply get the ADDT trial, spend some time with the documentation, go over the tutorials, read through these forums and get somewhat up to speed and then make my purchase.
However, what I've found is that many of the tools that had been available to InterAKT users are not part of ADDT (and are now discontinued altogether), the documentation is very slim, there is little ADDT specific training material to speak of, and the robust forum interaction that InterAKT provided isn't occurring here.
It's not my intention to flame, rather simply to express my disappointment and my hope that Adobe works to remedy these shortcomings.
    - Documentation (The existing documentation isn't bad, it just strikes me a inadequate.)
    - Tutorials (Again, the four ADDT specific tutorials were good. I was able to follow them and my resulting applications worked as intended without any hair pulling. But I still do not know how to use most of the ADDT beyond guessing. What about tutorials explaining the Many-to-Many feature, the various User Authentication features, so on & so on?)
    - Forum interactivity (I suspect that the forum user-to-user activity would largely pick up on its own if the previous two items were met, but more developer-to-user interaction is really needed with this sort of product. That's a huge part of what made InterAKT so great.)
Beyond that, I have to wonder why features like recordset pagination are not included. That was something that was trivial to add with the InterAKT tools back when I was using in 2003-2004 but it appears there is no such feature in ADDT (unless I'm mistaken). The lack of KTML is unfortunate, but I have read the threads here explaining that at least there are alternatives.
I hope That Adobe places a higher commitment on ADDT in the future. I wonder what the future is for this suite of tools. It's a shame to see the InterAKT extensions in such disarray.
    JTueller

    Hi,
you´re certainly right, the current documentation is indeed behind what´s been provided when Interakt was still independant -- however, some users (me included) are in the process of contributing new stuff.
Adobe itself will expectedly not be enhancing neither the currently available tutorials nor the ADDT helpfile, so that´s up to us
Forum interactivity (I suspect that the forum user-to-user activity would largely pick up on its own if the previous two items were met, but more developer-to-user interaction is really needed with this sort of product.
the ADDT forum´s interactivity for PHP users has notably improved, wheras the ColdFusion and ASP folks are unfortunately not getting served that well -- mainly due to the lack of experienced Community Experts.
However, as *all* Adobe forums are user-to-user ones, any participance of the developers is not expectable -- that´s once again up to us folks to help each other, but I don´t see a huge problem at least in the PHP realm.
Beyond that, I have to wonder why features like recordset pagination are not included. That was something that was trivial to add with the InterAKT tools back when I was using in 2003-2004 but it appears there is no such feature in ADDT (unless I'm mistaken)
the recordset pagination you´re assumingly talking about has been provided by a separate Interakt extension which has been discontinued -- however that feature as such is still available when using DW´s native recordset pagination with recordsets created by ADDT
I hope That Adobe places a higher commitment on ADDT in the future
A far as I can see, Adobe itself keeps focussing on the main sellers (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash) and of course the RIA
(Rich Internet/Interface Applications) realm. The support for all other products
(including, but not only, ADDT) is sort of community-driven.
I wonder what the future is for this suite of tools
that´s IMHO never really predictable with *any* of Adobe´s products which, like ADDT, rather cover a niche market
It's a shame to see the InterAKT extensions in such disarray
not quite, as some folks are working on improving stuff behind the scenes -- stay tuned :-)
You personally seem to have sorta missed the MX Kollection area -- if you had been there at that time, you would have noticed that ADDT is actually the same as the last Kollection version 3.7, and that all Kollection tutorials still apply to ADDT. However, let´s see if some of the old Kollection tutorials can be retrieved, what would certainly be a good start

  • I am running Dreamweaver CS4. I recently installed ADDT-CS4-101-beata. How do I uninstall ADDT-CS4-101-Beta?

I just installed ADDT-CS4-101-beta, and now I keep getting the Dreamweaver error message "While executing onLoad in ADDT_onOpen.htm, the following JavaScript error(s) occured:
At line 29 of file "C:\program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS4\Configuration\Commands\ADDT_0nOpen.js": ADDT is not defined.
I am in the very early stages of trying to learn this program. I thought that ADDT-CS4-101-beta was a tool box of add ons. So I installed it, and now I keep getting this error message. I am running WINXP Pro with SP3. I thought I would uninstall this program, and everything would go back to normal, and I could continue my learning process, and install this program later, after I had a better idea of what the heck was going on.
How do I correct this problem? I checked in the WinXP control panel, using "Uninstall Programs", and ADDT-CS4 is not there.

Still fighting this battle of trying to reinstall CS4 Extension Manager. The problem is that I can not get rid of the previous installation. When I tried to uninstall it using WinXP Pro Control Panel/Add/remove it would fail to remove it. Then I used a software program "Perfect Uninstaller" to remove it, and that seemed to have worked. I say (seemed to have worked), because after I rebooted, I checked Start/programs, and CS4 Extension Manager was no longer shown in the listings. Then I went to Control Panel/Add/Remove, and it no longer was listed. Sooooooo I thought I had everything licked, and I doubled clicked on the Setup.exe file of the newely downloaded CS4 Extension Manager, an it ran through the "Checking Profile", and then started the "Setup Program", and gave me the same old message "System Check" "Adobe Extension Manager CS4 is already installed on this machine."
"To reinstall please run the installer which performed the original installation."
I think that it was originall installed when I installed Photoshop CS3, or Photoshop CS4. I can not find my disc for Photoshop CS4. I have the disc for Photoshop CS3, but when I checked that disc for the Extension Manager, I could not find it. Is there any program that will totally rmove the original Extension Manager. Once I can reinstall Extension Manager, I will be able to remove ADDT-CS4-101.
    Thanks for any help.

  • Cant download the trial

addt does not download when i click the link on adobe.com
i have tried this in multiple browsers on multiple machines owned by both my self and my friends.

    Hi chrisbleak,
I just tried downloading the trial of ADDT and found that nothing happens after submitting the 'Download' button. This was the case with both the Win and Mac versions. I attempted to download the trial with both Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 7.
So, it's not just you. I've sent a message to Adobe notifying them that the trial download is no longer working.

  • Working with ADDT on CS4

Sorry "WollombiWombat," I want to inform you that soon after posting the message I was able to download “ADDT,” though, I have not yet fully tested this software but I have all confidence that it will do the job/work I got it for. I do not like the so-called “PyroCMS” according to you. I do not think your “PyroCMS” is for me. I have checked it out and came to realization that it will not work at all for me.
If any one need to find out how I was able to download this software from Adobe.com contact me and I will help you. It may state that it is only for the Dreamweaver CS3 update never mind that it also works for Dreamweaver CS4.
    Thanks,
    Joplateau

Also, the hard disk must be formatted as Mac OS Extended (journaled). FAT32 will not work.
iMovie Events must be in a folder called iMovie Events at the top level of the drive.

  • Using PEAR from ADDT includes?

    Hi all,
I would like to use the Pear mail functions found on ADDT includes.
Is that a standard Pear setup or it has been tweaked by interakt/adobe to
    fit in ADDT?
I've readed somewhere (intrerakt forum) that this should be standard for
    compatibility purpose.
Is there a tutorial or similar to use the mail pear function found on addt
includes without using MX Send mail?
    thanks in advance very much.

"If anyone still has anything to offer regarding PHP and PEAR on OS X, especially regarding possible pitfalls in upgrading Apache, PHP and PEAR now instead of waiting for the new versions from Apple, I'll be checking back here."
Yeah.. dont use the system installation for web development. Install your own version(s) to /usr/local and use those instead. You can download install packages from www.entropy.ch or complie from source youself (there are/were some good notes and instructions about the necessary flags on the same site as well). Thats my recommendation personally. If youre using python, perl or ruby for devlopment id do the same with those as well.
