After creating a site with iWeb and publishing to "dot Mac" I submitted the site name to google at "http://www.google.com/addurl". So how long must I wait before a google search picks the site up?? It's been weeks...?

Before I updated to OS X Mavericks I was using another external disk that was getting disconnected ocasionally so I bought a new ADATA HD710 portable 1TB Drive and moved the files to it. This new drive which is supposed to be OS X Mavericks compatible takes minutes to show the files especially when opening second and third level folders which has made mu iMac unusable
What should I do?

Your Mac should be able to recognize many different types of drives (including Windows-formatted drives) immediately for Reading, provided they are in good working condition and not damaged. There should be no need to transfer to a different type of drive.
If there is no recognition of this drive, see if it can be seen in Disk Utility.
If your aim is to transfer the data on it DO NOT use ERASE or PARTITION as these will completely erase all the information on the Drive.
If the drive is present while the Mac sleeps, it is likely to drop out and not be seen any longer, especially if it is a USB-powered drive.

Why there is no customization option available in India in IMAC? Why only corporate sales get the customization and that too from Hongkong means a waiting period of 5-8 weeks :(

Graphing wait period in Case Structure

I have a VI that is outputting a wave to a linear actuator. The linear actuator should engage then wait a period of time.
Rightnowthetheprogramcurrentlyexecutestheoutput to the device butIwouldliketobeabletoseethewaitperiodonthegraph. It would be nice to have the wait period be at the new offset as well.
I have tired to wire a local variable to the graph inside the false structure however this did graph the pause.
The main VI is the Sinewave generating (KNS)X01 the other two are subVI's
Does anyone have any ideas!?

From your code, what I see is that it plots the waveform graph and waits. Graph is not ploted while it is waiting. I'm not sure what do mean by "butIwouldliketobeabletoseethewaitperiodonthegraph". Perhaps you could plot out in a diagram on what do you actually want to see?

What is the wait period after an event before vendor can issue a refund?

I paid for an event thru paypal. At the event: I found out that I did not need to pay since I was listed as a vendor assistant. The vendor organizer said she would refund by money but it saying there is a hold on the account after an event before they can issue a refund. Is this true and if so; how long is the wait period?

Just purchased my subscription, and it states I have zero left (please upgrade)- I am logged into the associated account- on line chat states there is a 24 hour wait period, did I miss something on the site that states this- wait period?

Google calendar periodically disappears, then reappears

Since upgrading my iPhone 4S to IOS 6, I have a particular Google calendar whose items will disappear from my calendar (built-in calendar app). I'm never sure what I've done to make them reappear but, up until now, they always have.
(Actually, I just added an event to this calendar, from the phone, then waited for a "resync" and, though it took a while, I eventually got the calendar to display, again.)
The really weird thing is that other calendars attached to this particular Google account show up just fine. And other google accounts that I have set up to display calendars work fine always - they don't ever disappear.
Again, just since IOS 6, has this happened! Anyone else experiencing this, or know how to permanently resolve it?

This keeps happening to my phone since I upgraded to IOS 6 also.
Here's how I get the calendar to reappear...
--> Go to your Calendar on your phone
--> In upper-left corner, tap "Calendars"
--> You will see all your subscribed calendars listed. Your Google calendar should be there WITHOUT a dot next to it
--> Tap next to your Google calendar to make the dot reappear
Boom, all your items should now be back.
It keeps happening over and over again, though. It would be great if there was some sort of permanent solution to this issue.

Slow broadband and 10 day wait period

Maybe you can help me. I have moved to my new home and I have had the broadband active for about 5 days now. The download connection rate has never gone beyond 128kBps. The IP profile has stayed at 2Mbps. (I have BT Broadband unlimited option 3). The call to the helpline has basically suggested that I wait for 10 days and that I do not reset the router in the meanwhile. (If the modem can't get better than 128Kbps connection rate, the IP profile will never improve, in fact I expect it to go lower)
As far I can see the modem stats show a very high noise margin. I did initially directly connect to the master socket, removing the bottom plate and plug in the modem into that. That did not really make any difference to the datarate.

When I called the support line, they remotely logged onto my computer, accessed the router and fiddled with the wireless setting and told me to wait for a a few days. Impossible to get them to consider anything else. Maybe you will be able to escalate this for me.

I did the quiet line test in the master socket, but I could not hear anything that's unusual. It was quiet!
So I plug the modem in the master socket and cheked the noise margin numbers again, no improvement.

Web pages loading with a long wait period

I have just i have just installed windows server 2012 R2 on my new PC
Here is my configuration:
Core i7 3370
4 GB RAM
1GB Graphics
I am using Netgear wireless adapter WNA3100
Internet connection seems to be OK, download is OK
However web pages are loading very slowly on first load and then on subsequent loads it is more rapid.
Do i need to do any additional config to solve this issue?

Pending message redelivery wait period after server startup

Hi, I have seen an strange behaviour in the way pending JMS messages are
          redelivered to MDBs at server startup.
          In my unit test I have seen that, killing Weblogic during an MDB code
          execution as expected makes the container to redelivery unconfirmed message
          at server startup. I have also seen that it's redelivered about 4 minutes
          after server is started (more info of this in thread: "Problem with
          persistent messages and MDBs" 25 October 2002)
          After a recent crash we have had on the system in wich there were a lot of
          messages pending to deliver to an MDB we saw that they were being
          redelivered just after the MDBs were deployed while system was starting. Of
          course due to the fact that some components needed by the MDB were not
          deployed by that time, a lot of exceptions were raised making messages to be
          queued again and promptly delivered wich caused more exceptions. Just a big
          mess!
          I'm tring to figure a good work-around about this, what I wanted to know is
          how is implemented the "delay" to send messages after server startup. Is it
          done by comparing timestamp of message (when did it enter the queue and
          thereby persisted on the store) with current system time?. That approach of
          course will fail if any of the messages were sent before that "delay" time.
          If this is the case and there isn't a fix for it this is what I have in
          mind:
          Each MDB will have a private attribute wich will be used to detect when
          system has completely started. By default it will be false and after a
          message is sent to the MDB the first line of the onMessage method will test
          wether system has started or not (by checking weblogic connection port i.e.
          7001. Btw. is there any better way of checking server has finished start-up)
          if not, a runtime exception will be launched that will force message to be
          redelivered (without trying to execute any MDB code), I think setting a
          proper redelivery delay i.e. 30-60 secs. will allow server to startup with
          less problems (in the situation I described above JVM crashed with an 11
          system signal)
          Any other ideas to deal with this?

Hi Ignacio,
          I think you can usually control the order in which ejb's are booted,
          through a combination of console settings and
          meta file entries. I suggest posting to the ejb newsgroup
          to find out how.
          The four minute delay you see is normal for resolving
          interrupted transactions, but I believe that an enhancement
          was put into a 7.0 SP to reduce or eliminate this interval,
          and that 8.1 has no interval. Post to the transaction
          newsgroup for more info, or contact customer support.
          Given that you referenced earlier posts on this issue, you
          probably already know how to tune the interval down to one
          minute even without the enhancements.
          There is no other delay for sending messages at system startup,
          as soon as the MDB is booted it attaches to JMS, and JMS
          starts delivering messages whose transactional state is known.

          P.S. I suppose one way to detect end-of-boot is to
          place a startup class last in the boot order.
          P.P.S. For MDBs one alternative is to code a "sleep" in the onMessage if
          an unavailable resource is detected - this
          is hokey, but works as long as you have made sure that
          max-beans-in-free-pool totals do not come near or exceed
          available thread pool size.

I have the exact same issue with my bestbuy.com account that happened Saturday morning when trying to place some additional orders for the black friday/saturday sales. I am an elite plus member and frequently have issues ordering. This time it wasnt a matter of my bestbuy store card having the invalid CVC code issue (which happens all the time). I could talk for hours on how many times I have called bestbuy.com/citibank cc services/citibank cc fraud department and back and forth (2-3 hour conversations sometimes). It all ends up being the blame game. I was told I have a case opened for this issue that I later received a generic email saying it was my problem and to verify my information matches my billing information (even though I told them I tried 3-4 credit cards on the website to order) and I was told by a BB.com rep that I could try 10 cards and they will cancel every order due to this verification problem. I need someone to forward my concern to BB back office team that can address this issue. Thanks.

"Erase all data" waiting period...

ICloud waiting period in progress?

I get this message when I try to re-create my former alias from @me.com in iCloud.
I've been seeing this message for well over a week, so I don't think it's going to go away.
What to do?

Yes! My Sister is having a problem with iCloud as well.
We got new iMacs in Feb 2012 because of the MobileMe shut down in June.
We migrated from MobileMe to iCloud a day or so after getting the iMacs.
All 5 aliases transfered over and are still working fine for her.
She recently had a spam problem and went to the iCloud.com server to turn off one alias for a week to see if the spammer would stop.
SURPRISE!
NONE OF HER 5 ALIASES WERE AVAILABLE TO BE VIEWED UNDER PREFERENCES/ ACCOUNTS!
They all work of course.... and she has been, and still is using them for sending and the icloud server accepts incoming.
THE PROBLEM MUST HAVE OCCURRED AFTER JUNE 30, the last day for MobileMe.
My system is fine and shows all 4 of my aliases.
I don't think I would touch anything.
iCloud needs to fix their issues!
