ADE can´t open ebook PDF with DRM Lifecycle Rights Management

Hello,
the ADE can´t open the pdf files with Adobe Lifecycle Rights Management.
I have download a Ebook in pdf file format with DRM at adobe lifecycle rights management.
The Reader XI can this open and work with them.
The ADE Suite can´t read this file and say some errors found on the dokument.
The adobe reader on the device (ebookreader Pocketbook 840 with newest softwareversion) do not open this file and without messages give up.
The Pocketbook Support tell to me contact adobe support.
My problem i don´t have information of the adobe softwar on the pocketbook. Only by cummunity some
The ADE 4.x and 3.x tested without solution.
Support files or dumps from device not available.
Why the ADE not support "adobe" lifecycle rights management.
And can i close this gap?
I`m only the consumer on pocketbook and onliehe.de
The Adobe licensee/customer Pocketbook and Onleihe.de do not support or don like support own customer at this issue.
Kind regards
Eddi
Sorry for my bad english

Hello,
at this situation a call with Hotline at Adobe, the ADE no listed and closed talk by system. "Many Thanks".
This can`t not be a serios Solution.
At producer from the device not fully unterstand the problem-
ADE can´t read the File and tell back its corrupt.
The device (Pocketbook 840) with Adobe Viewer stoped open file without message.
Pocketbook Support say download only products with support. PDF with DRM it´s ok, but not Adobe Lifecycle.
Thats can´t be the right way to sell products without support of own fail.and say buy other E-Books.
At wait on 11 days to see at this support instrument are only help for lightweight problems. I see to much questions without message from moderator, the consumer can´t do adobe work.
Kind regards
Eduard Kick

  • I can't open any pdf with Adobe Reader XI, neither online or offline - OS X

Since I've upgraded to Acrobat Reader XI I'm not able to open any pdf file.
I can't open any .PDF already existing in my Mac and also can't open anything online throughout browser (I use Safari and Chrome)
I've already uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader over and over again and it has no improving.
I've tried to install an older version and still doesn't work.
All my problems started with the upgrade to Adobe Reader XI.
As you can imagine I really need to be able to open pdf through browser, that's my biggest concern.
I'll attach the error message that appears on the screen.

    Hi a.vouga,
Are you still facing this issue.
If yes, i would suggest you may create a new user profile and install Reader again and check.
    Regards,
    Ajlan Huda.

  • EPub with DRM (Digital Rights Management)

    Hi There,
For what I know the people can easily copy the downloaded ePub file and share to others.
Is there a way to apply DRM on ePub on iPad?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    KK

PDF and epub are totally different formats.  Apple's iBookstore does not accept PDF, only .epub and .ibooks formats.
I don't see why you would need DRM for something you only going to distributed in house to colleagues.  Apple or the iBookstore would not seem to be involved in that.

  • Just upgraded to Lion, can't open any pdf file downloaded from internet that was fine with Leopard. How can I overcome this obstacle ?

Just upgraded to Lion, can't open any pdf file downloaded from the internet that was fine with Leopard before. I just got a black screen when I clicked on a pdf icon on a given internet site, and same happened with several sites that I visited. How can I overcome this obstacle ?

Try two things with Safari not running:
    1) Launch Adobe Reader, open its preferences, select the Internet category, and check the values under "Display PDF in browser using".  If it's checked, try unchecking it.
    2) Look in /Library/Internet Plug-Ins (at the top-level of your boot volume) for something names AdobePDFViewer.plugin.  If you see such a file, try moving it to a folder named "Disabled Plug-Ins" (if such a folder exists) or onto the Desktop.
    Then see how things work.

I can't open any pdf documents with Adobe Reader XI...get an error that "Adobe has stopped working" then it closes.  Is this an Adobe issue, Microsoft issue, or security issue?

Thank you!  That seemed to do the trick.  Don't think I'd ever have figured that one out!!

  • I can't open a pdf file since updating to firefox 4.0. I have foxit reader installed and it worked before. Adobe is not compatible with Firefox. What do I need to do. I need to file my income tax online and can't because of this issue

Just can't open any pdf files. Having no luck trying to fix myself.

For Firefox users, there might be a built in pdf viewer, or a preferred viewer that handles pdf files.
I am not having any trouble logging in, so lets try this:
    * Remove any cookies from the cache: [[Delete cookies to remove the information websites have stored on your computer]]
*[[Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings]] if there is stored user data that is removed in this process: [[Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles]]

  • How can I open a PDF in iBooks on iPhone 5s?

I have PDFs in iBooks. When I try to open them it says I should open them with Adobe Reader. I downloaded Adobe Reader but can't seem to get the PDFs to open with it.
I found a previous thread saying that you can't use Adobe Reader with iBooks, but that was before the 5s came out, so I'm starting a new thread. If you can't open a PDF from iBooks with Adobe Reader, why is it telling me to use Adobe Reader? And how else can I open it?
This shows what happens when I try to read my PDF, and click on the icon that's supposed to let me open it in Adober Reader:

This particular file is a PDF Portfolio, which needs Flash to display correctly. When you open a PDF Portfolio in the Adobe Reader mobile it will open in list view to get around the fact that Flash isn't supported on iOS. So, it won't open properly in a native viewer on iOS only within the Adobe Reader.
