ADE considers immediately after an opening quote character an acceptable hyphenation point

ADE is breaking a line by adding a hyphen immediately after an opening quote, as seen in the above screenshot.
Here's the HTML source I used (though I don't think it's anything special):

Try deleting the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder. Then launch iPhoto.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

Illustrator CC 2014 closes immediately after it opens (Windows 8.1)

Not only the Illustrator CC 2014 but other CC 2014 Apps as well closes after it opens.
It doesn't show any error message or something like that. It's more like if I have clicked at the "close window".
The Illustrator load itself, opens and before I can do something it immediately closes.
I saw an error in the forum with some Wacom tablets but I've tested it with a single mouse and the error persists.
I've just installed the CC 2014 update and now I can't run any Adobe App.
I'm using Windows 8.1, but didn't find any topic about error occurring that way.

Why does my Photoshop CS4 Closed Immediately after I open it?

I can't figure it out. Photoshop closes about a second after I open it. I would have thought it was my PC, but it was working okay a couple of weeks ago.

MacBook Pro attempts to place a NON-EXISTING disc into its optical drive several times, immediately after being opened & woken up, every time...

About a week ago, my mother tried to place a DVD into my MacBook Pro while it was still closed & sleeping. Of course it didn't anything, but allowed her ignorant self to push the disc quite far into the disc drive. Once opened & woken up, the disc drive responded & operated normally, allowing my family to enjoy another great episode of Hanks & Speilberg's Band Of Brothers... UNTIL, the following day I opened it up & it began to make that "sucking a disc into its slot" noise, quite a few times before quitting... It hasn't damaged my MacBook Pro to my knowledge, I even put the DVD back in to insure that the drive hadn't been broken, but continues this process EVERY SINGLE TIME I try to open up & utilize my top-of-the-line Apple product. I've tried to restart/shut down my notebook, but this hindrance proceeds to linger. Also, I've began to worry that the amount of times the optical disc drive performs this mechincal process could cause future damage. Furthermore, it's a bit of a nuisance when trying to stealthly get on my MacBook Pro at night and end up waking up everyone... I have also upgraded to OX X Mavericks 10.9.1, could partake in the problem at hand? I would greatly appreciate suggestions & hope someone knows the direct solution to this problem!

Damage was done when your computer fell. Your warranty if you have one and Apple Care do not cover accidental damage. Your only alternative is to take the computer to an Apple store or an AASP. Whichever is more convenient for you.
NOTE: If you are out of warranty and purchased the computer with a credit card, discuss the warranty issue with the credit card company which you purchased the computer with. They are the only ones who can at this point cover the computer after it goes out of warranty with the manufacturer (Apple).
If you have Homeowners insurance, place a claim with them.

How can I stop auto refreshing a new web page in XP immediately after its opened?

In XP, once I access a new web page Firefox auto refreshes that page once the page is ~80-90% opened - how can i stop this refresh?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

ITunes freezes immediately after i open it.

Also have you been downloading podcasts from the iTunes store? In the past problems downloading podcasts have caused freezing.

After upgrading to Aperture 3.4.1 (and really since 3.4), aperture becomes unresponsive almost immediately after I open it. It tears through over 1GB of memory within a minute, and I am forced to either force quit or open the terminal and "killall".

How do I fix this issue? I haven't been able to use Aperture or load new photos into Aperture for weeks. Since upgrading to Aperture 3, from Aperture 2; I've noticed that Aperture 3 is a major memory hog. I had to upgrade my unibody macbook to keep up with Aperture, otherwise my whole system become unresponsive when trying to simply look at my photos. I have about 15,000 pictures in my library, but the program is designed to organize large libraries. Why has it been so buggy the past year? Should I just jump ship and go to Lightroom?

it is normal, that after a crash a library repair is required. Aperture is a database, and if a crash happens, transactions may not be completed, so the library may be left in an inconsitent state. Usually the built-in repair methods can take care of this. But I assume, you have a backup of your Aperture library. If not, now would be the time to create one, just in case.
I doubt, Aperture is causing this crashes - it may be a coincidence; kernel panics quite often are due to an overfull hard disk, incompatible frameworks or kernel extensions, or to failing hardware. Run a hardware check, check the available disk space and file system with disk utility, and try to remember, if you installed anything else lately, that might have added incompatible kernel extensions. Turn off any helper apps, start up items.
Your kernel panic occurs when accessing the graphics card. Sometimes this can be resolved by booting into safe mode, this will disable advanced features and reset the card. Note: Aperture will not run in safe boot mode, see

Browse MacBook forum and Mt. Lion forum, to see, if anybody else has problems with Mt. Lion and your particular Hardware configuration and card.

Mail quits immediately after I open it...what should I do?

Ok I accidentally posted this in a tiger forum...oops.
Anyways, I have my Mail set up as my inbox for my college email address. At first, I didn't encounter any problems with this (for the first 2 months or so), but within the past week I have begun to encounter this sudden quitting problem. I'll open Mail, and it'll pop up, begin the whole "getting online opening mailbox" process...and then it quits. I get the standard "Mail has quit unexpectedly, would you like to submit a bug report to Apple" pop up, and I have sent in a bug report twice already. I restarted the computer once and that seemed to alleviate the problem, but I suspect it's only temporary. What should I do to get rid of this problem permanently? Thanks!

Might be a damaged eMail/attachment or mailbox, as well as a plug-in.
Try to start Mail.app with the shift and/or alt key pressed. Then rebuild your mailboxes. Disable or at least update any third party plug-ins you have in use.

Final Cut X keeps quitting immediately after I open it.

I have no idea why. Final Cut Pro X doesn't even stay open long enough to do anything. It closes immediatly. I am really bad with computers. Can someone please walk me through step by step of what to do. It is urgent. I am a film student and I edit videos for a parenting website. This is a matter of graduating and keeping my job. Please help!

My iMovie keeps repeatedly quitting immediately after I open it.

How can I fix this? (iMovie 9.0.2 Mac 10.6.7) I have tried deleting my com.apple.iMovie files in the library. I have restarted my computer, I have updated everything, and it still won't open. I really need this fixed for a project. Can anyone help me?

My iPad calendar app crashes immediately after being opened. Running iOS5.

I have updated my iPad to iOS5 and for several days I have not experienced any problems, but today I started having a problem with the calendar app.
I can open in and see that it is day view, but I can't get it to respond to any actions before it closes in just a few seconds.
I have rebooted and resynced, but the problem still exists.
I downloaded a third party calendar app and it works just fine, but it only loads my gmail events, none of my me.com/iCloud events. I would appreciate any recommendations on what to try next.

Why are Spotlight and Dictionary quitting immediately after being opened and queried?

Every since running an application named Mac Tuneup I have had problems with Spotlight and Dictionary. For example, I open Spotlight, type in a query, the program runs, then quits unexpectedly. The same is happening with Dictionary. My suspicion is that Mac Tuneup removed something it shouldn't have, but I'm not sure what. Any thoughts as to the best way of resolving this?

I believe the issue is resolved. I had already installed the 10.6.8 combo update and did a reinstall from the Snow Leopard disc, but I think a cold start shook everything into place. As to Mac Tuneup, I realized I'd made a big mistake in buying it as soon as it started running. It's long gone. Thanks again.

Screen freezes immediately after app opened

Using iMac late 2009, 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 using Mavericks Version 10.9.4 running ok since updating July 11th.
Today when opening Preview, Pages, Numbers, iPhoto, iMovie, App store etc. app opens as does application menu but then freezes entire screen.
Had to use force quit. Safari ok but if opens in Preview can't do anything. Tried reinstalling software without success.

I hope to have done as you suggested but hopelessly out of my depth. Appreciate your help

My Creative Suite CS6 products shut down immediately after I open them. They were working fine before. What happened? What can I do to fix this?

I bought a boxed version of Creative Suite CS6 (Design & Web Premium) in March and all the products were working fine for a few months. But now they shut down as soon as I open them. Any advice??

It sounds like something changed on your system to cause the problem. You should not have to sign up for Creative Cloud.
The safe thing to do would be to first clean up your copies of CS6 with the Adobe Cleaner tool:
