Hi, kann jemand etwas mit dieser Fehlermeldung anfangen?
Wäre sehr dankbar für Hilfe :-)

Entschuldigung, habe mich unklar ausgedrückt… ich war schon in dem ~Library Ordner und habe dort gesucht, und dort gibt es nichts was Application Support heißt.

Wählen Sie im Finder die Optionen „Gehe zu“ > „Gehe zum Ordner“.
Geben Sie im Dialogfeld „Gehe zum Ordner“ Folgendes ein: ~/Library
Drücken Sie Enter.
In dem Ordner suchen Sie direkt nach Application Support

ADE 3.0: E_ACT_NOT_READY error - what does it mean?

Hi knowledgable and helpful Adobe forum people,
I'm getting an E_ACT_NOT_READY error when trying to open an ebook I just purchased and downloaded.
Backround:
I've had an Adobe ID for several years and bought several Adobe ebooks from various retailers and generally access the ebooks on desktop (I know - wierd), I just got a new MacBook and want to move some books across, and buy some new ones.
What happened:
- I installed ADE 3.0 on my new MacBook (I didn't get a prompt to authorise my computer and there doesn't seem to be an option in the menu to do this retrospectively)
- I've paid for and downloaded an ebook in the form of a 1KB ASCM file
- I go to open the ASCM file
- I get an E_ACT_NOT_READY error when attempting to open the new ebook I just downloaded, as well as other ebooks I have in my library:
Questions:
- Is anyone else getting this error?
- Has anyone found a solution / workaround?
This is REALLY frustrating - any assistance from Adobe or anyone on what might be causing this much appreciated.

After Nook upgrade, ADE upgraded to 4.0 on my mac. Authorized, attempting to download from library, getting error message " unable to download, error getting license, E_act_Not_ready"

Using my nook reader was always easy. Since this upgrade, not able to even download into ADE.

Also, I have uninstalled ADE former version, installed ADE4.0 and authorized it. Nook did an upgrade on 12/16/14. Does not work, even with Nook not connected to Mac.

I had the exact same problem & this worked for me. All I needed was the first step. Good luck!!!! (copied from another thread):

Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help, and indeed installation can even trigger this state.
Unfortunately, it often then gives misleading error messages about what is wrong.
A common incorrect message informs you that the ID is already in use on another computer and cannot be reused.
Another is "E_AUTH_NOT_READY"
This can often be resolved by completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to the Library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your (old) Adobe ID.
In extreme cases on the mac, the following extra step has helped some people. Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash. Every time I try to download an e-book I get the message "E_AUTH_BAD_DEVICE_KEY_OR_PKCS12". Uninstalling ADE (all three versions) along with cleaning the registry does not clear the error. And I cannot de-authorize and reauthorize my new laptop as the de-authorize option is greyed out. Anyone else encounter this issue?

every time i try to open a ACSM file, (to be able to download the book) i am confronted with the error message

It doesnt matter where i download the file from weather they are free books or ones that i have purchased
it wont let me open to download it. I have authorised my account and it says there is not a problem with my account.

i have tried re-downloading the file and opening it immediately while the website is open in my safari browser with no luck
i am using the same email account for the adobe and for the sign in for the books website so i don't think there is a link there

Go to folder dialog will appear.

Your authorization will be deleted.

I just downloaded a book from my local library and every time I try to open the download I get a message reading:

I'm having the same problem. Just installed Adobe Digital Editions 4 on my Windows 8.1 computer and can't get to ADE's to download or return books to my library. The Overdrive app seems to be working fine but ADE's won't start? I don't get the open pop up. Books I have checked out of the library show in ADE's when I go to it independently. Sure hope someone has an answer.

"Erreur lors de l'obtention de la licence. Problème de communication avec le serveur de licences :

Que puis-je faire ? J'ai essayé de changer l'heure de mon mac, desactivée les firewalls et rien ne marche...

For this problem, you need to deauthorize and authorize ADE again.
Launch ADE
Help -> Erase authorization.
ADE will be deauhorized.
Now again AUTHORIZE ADE
Help-> authorize computer.
Error will be fixed !!

Manchmal ADE bekommt seine Registrierung / Aktivierung verwirrt und in einem semi-autorisierten Zustand.
Deinstallation und Neuinstallation hilft nicht.
Leider gibt es dann oft irreführenden Fehlermeldungen über das, was falsch ist.
Eine gemeinsame falsche Meldung informiert Sie, dass die ID ist bereits im Einsatz auf einem anderen Computer und kann nicht wiederverwendet werden.
E_ACT_NOT_READY ist anoter.
Dies kann oft durch das vollständige Entfernen keine Genehmigung mit Strg-Shift-D in die Bibliothek-Bildschirm auf ADE (cmd-shift-D, wenn auf dem Mac) gelöst werden.
Starten ADE und dann mit der (alten) Adobe-ID neu aktivieren.
In extremen Fällen auf dem Mac hat die folgenden zusätzlichen Schritt einige Leute geholfen. Navigieren Sie zu / Users / / Library / Application Support / Adobe / Digital Editions und ziehen Sie die Datei activation.dat in den Papierkorb. Hallo,
Wenn ich ein e-book herunterladen will erscheint bei mir zuerst die Meldung "das noch Aufgaben offen sind weil das Programm plötzlich beendet wurde" oder so ähnlich. Dann erscheint die Meldung "Fehler beim Abrufen der Lizenz Server Kommunikationsproblem: E_ADEPT_IO. Ich habe schon alle möglichen Tipps ausprobiert - Firewall ausschalten, geschaut ob das Progamm bei der Firewall als erlaubt gekennzeichnet ist.... Meine Uhr stimmt auch...
ich habe das programm schon x-mal deinstalliert und neu installiert und weiß mir jetzt keinen Rat mehr: Kann mir jemand helfen?? Das wäre toll!

I can no longer see my kobo in the ADE. What do I do?
I was able to transfer my library books by downloading and then transferring them to my kobo through ADE. Now when I open my ADE my Kobo doesn't show up but the kobo is connected to my computer and I can see it in my control panel.
