Adesso wireless mouse doesn't work in Mountain Lion.

My Bluetooth  Adesso iMouse S100 doesn't work in Mountain Lion. It barely moves and constantly halts as if its driver is continuously interrupted. It is unusable. It worked beautifully in Snow Leopard.
I don't believe the problem is in the mouse, but just for completeness the batteries are full strength. The Bluetooth control panel signal  strength for the mouse ranges from -50 to -48, which may be low but I'm  pretty sure was the same in Snow Leopard.
Has anyone experienced and have a fix for this problem?
Thanks.

A mouse pad solved the problem. The Ikea Lack table I'm using is the source of the problem. Its table top surface is apparently scattering the mouse's laser and not reflecting it back properly. I have not experienced this problem with any other table I've used, wood, Formica, et al.

I have a MacBook Pro bought in dec 2009. Currently has mountain lion osx installed. Worked like a dream until today. Randomly froze, so I restarted it. To find I got a grey screen. It wouldn't start. Also note my DVD drive doesn't work, but mountain lion was installed via App Store anyway.
So here's what I done so far:
tried resetting PRAM - No success
Done disk utility. Disk verified with no errors. I even re formatted disk. - no success starting.
Tried re installing mountain lion via download . It froze halfway installing -no success.
Tried backing up a time machine backup from my USB hard drive. It froze at 1% - no success
Tried booting from safe mode - no success
Tried the command line boot - no success.
    Please someone help!

Sounds like the hard dre has left the building, Died, in the Sh*tter, Gone to the hard drive resting place in the sky.
Buy a new drive connect it to the system with a SATA to USB adapter and see if you can install Mt Lion on that drive connected externally. If you can then the drive inside your system has failed.
Oh Wait!!!! You have the 2009 model. They are known for bad drive to logic board cables. So it may not be the drive itself but the cable going from the drive to the logic board. Do the same as above then if the system runs OK with the new drive connected externally install it in the system and see if it boots. If it does you are good to go. If it doesn't then it is more then likely the cable that hs failed.
I would suggest you also SAVE a copy of that download of Mt Lion and create a USB install drive from it using Lion Disk Maker, once you get your system up and running.

  • Wireless mouse doesn't work after installing iTunes

New 30Gb iPod, installed iTunes v6 on 6-mos old HP laptop with docking station/wireless keyboard/mouse. All is well, updated iTunes with latest from web, loaded songs on iPod BUT now wireless mouse will not work. Reset mouse, works for a few clicks, then dies. Reset mouse again, few more clicks, then dies. Reboot without iPod connected, no iTunes up, still mouse only works for a couple clicks. Touchpad on laptop works, also so does wireless keyboard so I know transmitter is working (not battery problem). All worked fine until I started playing with options in iTunes today. I didn't uninstall iTunes yet, is that next step? Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions???

I'm pretty sure it's probably just your mouse/computer, however I would recommend uninstalling iTunes just to make sure though.

  • Canon CAPT 355 doesn't work for Mountain Lion

SInce I installed Mountain Lion onto my MacBookPro I can't print to my Canon LBP5050N. I've install CAPT 355 that Canon claims will work for Mountain Lion but it doesn't work. I've tried uninstalling all my older driver and installing CAPT 355 but that doesn't work either.

    The ccpd.conf file is still

    I've tried putting in

  • When reinstalling OS X with install disk, wireless mouse doesn't work

I have an unusual problem: My iMAC G5 hard drive died and I installed a replacement disk. Now, I am trying to reinstall OS X 10.3 with the help of my original install CDs that came with the iMAC.
Unfortunately, my wireless mighty mouse doesn't react anymore and I cannot proceed with the installation through keyboard commands alone. I get stuck at the first install window where the system asks for the operating system language.
I am clueless how to proceed since I don't have access to any utilities to test or connect the mouse because OS X is not installed yet. I tested the mouse on another Mac and it works. Any clues? Thanks for your help.

I solved my problem by using the original mouse

  • Hover event doesn't work on mountain lion

I just upgraded to mountain lion and have one MAJOR issue. Any hover event doesn't work.
This includes the dock animations, hover on context menus, buttons in certain apps (noticable in minecraft a lot, so it affects java), and hot corners don't work either.
Anyone else experience this issue and have it solved?
I tried resetting the PRAM and it fixed it, for like 5 minutes, so not a great fix.

I tore my hair out over the same issue. Based on SaitoLux's suggestion, I decided to try deleting and reinstalling the prefs panel for my Logitech mice (Logitech Control Center).
    Success!
If you've got this problem and you have a non-Apple mouse driver installed, try deleting and reinstalling. Can't explain why it worked, but happy it did.

  • Four finger swiping between spaces doesn't work in Mountain Lion

I have my magic trackpad settings to include 3 finger dragging which means that activating Mission Control, or swiping between full screen apps and spaces requires 4 fingers.  I have a MBP running Mountain Lion and it works fine, but on a MBA connected to a thunderbolt display and using a magic trackpad, it doesn't work.  I can 4 finger swipe for Mission Control, but I cannot swipe between full screen apps and spaces using 4 fingers.  The only way it will work is to disable the 3 finger drag, and set it to use 3 finger swipes for moving between full screen apps and spaces.
Am I missing something?  I don't think so.

I already have that checked.  All settings are correct.  The weird thing is, that with those settings turned on, four finger swiping reacts like 2 finger swiping, except for engaging Mission Control.  So, on a properly working machine, no matter what app is open, four finger swiping left to right will take me between spaces.  BUT, on this machine four finger swiping left to right over a browser will make the browser pages go back and forth.  I have all the settings set exactly like all my other Macs.  It's only this one machine that is using the magic trackpad that is not working correctly.
New batteries are installed, and I have no other issues with the trackpad.  It seems like a software bug.  This MBA does have FileVault turned on.  I'm wondering if that's an issue.

  • Mobile Datastick HUAWEI E1221 doesn't work with Mountain Lion!

After updating from Snow Leopard to Mountain Lion I have noticed that my mobile datastick doesn't work. The stick is recognized as virtual disc and I can only install the install.pkg. Then happens nothing. No window opens (as before). How can I connect to the internet now? Will there be new drivers for the E1221 or do I have to get another one? And if yes, which is supported by 10.8?

  • Lidwake = 0 doesn't work on Mountain Lion?

    Hello,
I have encountered a strange issue after upgrading to Mountain Lion.
I have a 2012 MacBook Air (13") that came with Lion.  When it was running Lion, I had set lidwake = 0 so that the laptop would not wake up when I open the lid.  That was working perfectly in Lion.  But, after I upgraded to Mountain Lion, I noticed that lidwake = 0 has no affect at all.  Checking with pmset -g shows that the parameter still has the value of 0 for both AC and battery modes, but the laptop would wake up every time I open the lid.
I did a reinstall of Mountain Lion and nothing had changed.  BTW, I have FileVault enabled since Lion, so my guess is that shouldn't have any impact on the power management system.
In any case, I was wondering if anybody has seen this issue after upgrading to Mountain Lion, or if you have any suggestion on how to correct this?
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!
    Frank

    Time Machine doesn't work either....
I want my snow leopard back!!!
    Any insight????

I understand that Airport Utility 5.6 must be used to configure it... but that being an older version... I can't install it with the new OS... RRRGGGGGHHHH Mountain Lion!!!  I'm not liking the switch at all.  I've spent more time fixing problems with this ... how can I go back???

  • Internal speaker doesn't work with mountain lion

my internal speaker doesn't work after installation of mountain lion

    Hi,
    Long shot, but...
Open Audio Midi Setup in Applications>Utilities, see the input & output options & KHz setting there, some things will change it for their own use, then not set it back.

  • Safari doesn't work with Mountain Lion

I have installed OS X Mountain Lion. Now Safari and Apple Store doesn't work anymore. :-( What can I do? I've tried to Install Safari again but the problem is always the same!

Generally this will solve it, you can also try repairing permissions, once in a while it will help as well:
Repair your permissions.  Go to applications then to the "other" folder then go to disk utility, on the left hand side you will see a white box.  Select the second option, usually called "mac HD" with that selected click on "repair permissions" in the center towards the bottom of the screen.  Wait for it to complete, then see if this fixes the issue.
