Adf mobile amx:inputText entry with voice

Hi,
I have a amx:inputText which works fine with iphone  - if we enter a text with keyboard and save using a command button.
Also it works fine and saves the value if you speak into the text field and at the end enter any key from keyboard.
If you ONLY speak into the text field  and save using a commandbutton  - it does not save though.
Is there a work around please?
Thanks

You'll need to set the value of the field to be null.
So for example try this page:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<amx:view xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:amx="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/mf/amx"
          xmlns:dvtm="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/mf/amx/dvt">
  <amx:panelPage id="pp1">
    <amx:facet name="header">
      <amx:outputText value="Header" id="ot1"/>
    </amx:facet>
    <amx:inputText label="label1" id="it1" value="#{viewScope.search}"/>
    <amx:commandButton text="clear" id="cb3">
      <amx:setPropertyListener to="#{viewScope.search}" type="action" from="#{''}"/>
    </amx:commandButton>
  </amx:panelPage>
</amx:view>

  • ADF Mobile amx:panelSplitter - disclose behaviour

    Hi Guys,
    JDEV 11.1.2.3 - Hoping that someone may be able to elaborate on the design of the HR Sample application which makes good use of the amx:panelSplitter. Basically, there is an 'Add Employee' link and also a 'Search' link. Clicking on the search link does not cause the disclosure behaviour of the navigation component to hide. Clicking on the 'Add' link does.
    I can't figure out how this has been achieved. Is it implicit? This was built completely declaritively by the looks, and I can't see how this is being controlled. I effectively want to replicate the search behaviour but as the link is clicked the whole page is reset to the starting position (with the navigator hidden).
    This is not a problem on larger devices as the standard here is to have the navigator always shown.
    Help appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Simo

    It's pretty easy.
    They use 1 panelSplitter and multiple panelItem.
    The panelSplitter has an attribute 'selecedItem' which tells it which panelItem it should render.
    In the example you see '#{pageFlowScope.panellist}' which refers to an pageFlowScoped variable.
    If you want to change the current displayed panelItem, just change the pageFlowScoped variable.
    In the HR example, that happens when they click a link or button by using this:
    <amx:setPropertyListener from="nolist" to="#{pageFlowScope.panellist}"/>
    The 'from' value is then the ID of the panelItem.

  • ADF Mobile: amx:listView keyboard event handler

    My view needs to accept keyboard input, but does not have an inputText, only a listView. I need to update listItems based on the keyboard input, but cannot add an inputText field to the view. Can I capture keyboard events in the view, the panelPage, or the listView?

  • Using database views in ADF mobile client application

    Hi,
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 and WLS 10.3.4.
    I have developed a POC in ADF mobile client application both with and without synchronization. However, both work with entity objects based on tables.
    I need to use database views instead of tables. When I try to include entity object (based on views) in the view object, it shows an error saying "Only the entity objects based on tables can be selected"
    Please guide me if there is a work around for this.
    Also, please let me know if there is way to develop an ADF mobile client application skipping the use of entity objects at all and using view objects directly to specify the database query and fetch data from the database.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi, Ansh:
    Currently, out of box, ADF Mobile Client does not support synchronization against Database Views. This is because Mobile Server imposes some schema restrictions to ensure synchronization with multi-table views would work correctly. This schema restriction requires, for example, the view must have a primary parent table with key defined, and also all base table must be included in the data publication. These dependencies requires manual resolution and advanced planning, and is managed outside of the ADF Mobile Client/JDeveloper project.
    To continue development, you would need to create server Entity Objects directly against the base tables. You can then create the mobile ADF Business Component (EOs, VOs, etc). You can then create View Objects in your ADF Mobile Client application based on the database views, in order to retrieve the data you need exactly. In other words, instead of basing EO on the database view, create View Objects in the mobile applicaiton to mimic what you had in the View Object.
    Is there any other reason why you would need to access data via database views, instead of directly against base tables?
    Thanks,

  • How to develop ADF Mobile with Oracle Database remotely

    As my company is using Oracle Database and using ADF to development many Web-based apps and We just begin to develop in ADF Mobile.
    We can't find any tutorial about to using Oracle Database with ADF, How we can using it in ADF Mobile ?
    Thanks for your help !

    Hi,
    ADF mobile supports SOAP and REST services for business services access. This means that for you to work against an Oracle database, you need to create a business services that can be exposed as a service for WS DC consumption as explained in the ADF Mobile documentation. Your options are
    1. EJB / JPA : Create entities from database table and then create a session facade on top. This then can be declaratively exposed as a WebService. Use the WSDL reference and start New --> WebService -> WS Data Control in your ADF Mobile project
    2. ADF BC can be exposed as a Service Interface and this to ADF Mobile. To create an ADF BC service you can read the product documentation or this: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/issue-archive/2012/12-sep/o52adf-1735897.html
    See this video: https://blogs.oracle.com/shay/entry/developing_with_oracle_adf_mobile for how to integrate this in ADF Mobile

  • Problem with ADF Mobile on Android

    Hi,
    I'm trying to run a very simple test with adf mobile on android emulator.
    But when I try to open the app, the splash screen never changes.
    Only when I go to the menu and I return to the app from the device menu, this show the main screen.
    And...
    When I try to open a very simple amx page, the app launch a message that says
    Failed to initilize the AdfcContext{classname: oracle.adfmf.framework.api.Model; method: pushPageFlowScope; params: ; }
    Somebody can help me?
    I am using:

    Thanks!

    Hi, there, a couple of things to double check on your emulator settings:
    When configuring the Android emulator, please make sure the emulator emulates ARM Processor (armeabi - v7).  ADF Mobile only works with ARM processors - both device and emulator.
    Under Memory Options, please ensure RAM is at least 768 or greater.  This of course is also constraint by the amount of memory your development machine has, but generally you should have at least 768 MB allocated.  ADF Mobile app itself won't take up nearly that much RAM of course, but there are a lot of Android apps that are started in the background when Android emulator starts.
    Also, make sure there is 500 MB of internal storage configured - you can go as low as 200 MB but the space will quickly.
    Lastly, before you compile/deploy again, please go to JDeveloper menu item Build - Clean All to clean up any left over deployment artifacts.
    Thanks,
    Joe Huang

    I have also tried invoking this through a regular ADF application and that works fine with an int[]. It looks like something specific to the ADF Mobile SOAP layer.
    Is this a bug or a restriction in the framework? Any workarounds that has worked for anyone?

    No luck. A WS DC method call with a simple parameter (java.lang.String or java.lang.Integer) works fine but I can't get it to work when there is an array input.
    I have tried WS methods with int arrays and simple string arrays without any luck. All of them result in a cannot serialize error.
    I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. Are there any working WS Datacontrol samples with array inputs?

  • ADF Mobile App integration with webservices, connection refused error

    I created an ADF application for department search with business components and exposed this as a webservice. I can access the WSDL locally from a browser. Then created an ADF mobile application and deployed it to android emulator. I am able to deploy the application to emulator and I can see the app on Android emulator. When I try to search for any department, I am getting "cannot connect to localhost on port 7101 : connection refused". My server is started already and the port number is also correct. Did any one came across this issue before? Even the WSDL URL is not accessible from the browser of android emulator.
    Edited by: adf_forum on Nov 16, 2012 2:16 PM

    Hi,
    One more thing to keep in mind is that Android emulator is itself a network host, and localhost will likely loop back into itself, i.e. emulator. Please try to set up the WLS to listen on an actual IP address for your development machine, create your WS DC using this real IP address, and then try to deploy/run the app.
    If you need to retrofit your app with an new IP address, please keep in mind there are several places you would need to manually fix up, including the connections.xml file.
    In general, if the device emulator's browser cannot hit a web service, then the ADF Mobile app will also not be able to hit a web service.
    The most reliable way is to treat the emulator like an actual device, then work out your application's connection accordingly.
    Thanks,
    Joe Huang

  • Can I Integrate ADF Mobile with (BPEL or BPM)

    I want to know if I can Integrate ADF Mobile with (BPEL or BPM) and can I open my worklist App from ADF Mobile.

    Hi,
    why don't you access the worklist app from the mobile device browser?
    To answer your question: You can access BPEL processes as a service from an ADF Mobile application. If you have URLs which content you want to display within the mobile Application, then try adding a feature that uses a URL as a resource.

  • Bean value to amx:verbatim to make HTML dynamic ADF Mobile

    Hi guys,
    As using <amx:verbatim> to insert HTML directly in AMX page for ADF Mobile.
    <amx:verbatim id="v1">

    Btw I tried to using bean value as EL to produces HTML from bean and seems didn't work
    How to make it possible ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    don't think it will execute EL this way. However,you should be able to execute JavaScript (what you should keep in mind though is that any DOM manipulation on AMX page rendering is a risk and can put you into trouble). What is the HTML you want to insert (and to what extend do you control the metadata tags added to the AMX page this way? Wouldn't it be possible to add the content using AMX components?

  • ADF Mobile on Android? Offline synchronization with the database?

    Hello,
    We are thinking about developing a project on Oracle ADF Mobile, and want it to run on both Android and IOS devices.
    And we want to be able to synchronize our database for offline mode.
    I read some docs, and they say Oracle does not have an Android version of ADF Mobile Client. It provides ADF Mobile Browser,
    but then it will not be possible to be synchronized with a remote database and run in offline mode.
    Is it possible to develop an application with Oracle ADF Mobile technology, that runs on Android and IOS phones,
    syncs with a remote database and run both online and offline mode, and uses device's services like GPS, camera, etc?
    Thanks,
