ADF Table cell color based on the value in that field

Dear All,
I want to create a table for our new application which contains a table used to represent the data in a chart format or matrix format,
and each cell of the table should be filled with a colour out of three colors, based on the value belongs to which range eg:(1-8 ->green, 9-20 - yellow etc),
I dont know how to implement this. Please help...

F4 help based on the Value in other field

I have a requirement in which there are two fields say field1 and field 2 in an ALV grid (in which new data can be entered). The F4 help of field 2 should be based on the value the user enters on field1.I have checked out the BC_ALV* programs but there are no clear help .
I have tried setting the parameter id of the first field value and then get that parameter id on_f4 event of the second field.But where can i set the parameter id of the first field . on_f4 of first field does not have its value and there is no event after_f4 . There is a parameter e_afterf4 in data change event but to tirgger that there shud be some event right.
Moreover If at all i get the first field value , i can use FM F4_int_table_value_request to show the refined f4 in field 2 . But I am passing the a field symbol table in my grids set table for first display . what can i pass as parameters here to the FM F4_int_table_value_request?

How to hide a field based on the value of a field in a different subform - null check doesn't work!

I'm using Javascript to set the actions. I need to hide a text field if the value of a field in another sub-form is null.
- tried checking the value of the other field for null - doesn't work
- tried setting a variable str2 where I know the value of the other field is available then checking that variable when I initialize the text field - doesn't work
What am I missing?

Try this in the originating sub form referring to the text field (X).

Filter data based on the value of sorce field in mapping

Hi,
I have a scenario (IDOC to file) where i have to move data to target file, only when one of the source fields has particuler value. Otherwise skip the record, no need to write into output file.
Please let me know how to handle it in mapping, without BPM.

Ofcourse there is no need of BPM, You can use the IF without Else function in your mapping with using Equals function.
Example:
Field1 ---> Equals (Particualr Value) -
> IF -
> Then -
> pass it to Target field.
Since there is no Else option, therefore whenever condition will fail, nothing will be passed to the target field.

Change Column Header / Column Background color based on a value in a specific row in the same column

SSRS 2012
Dataset (40 columns) including the first 3 rows for Report layout configuration (eg: the <second> row specifies the column background color).
Starting from the 4th row, the dataset contains data to be displayed.
I would like to change the background color of the ColumnHeader/Column based on the value in the same column in the <second> row.
How can I accomplish the this requirement? (this must be applied for all the columns)

Per my understanding that you want to specify the background color of all the columns/column header based on the value in one special column of the special row, right?
I have tested on my local environment and you can add expression to condition show the background color in the columns properties or the column header properties.
Details information below for your reference:
Specify the background color in the Column header: you can select the entire column header row and in the properties add expression in the Background color :
If you want to specify the background color for the entire column, you can select the entire column and add the expression, repeat to add background color for other columns.
If you want to specify the background color based on the value in the specific columns and row, you can create an hidden parameter to get the list of values from the specific column, specify the Available values and default values by select "Get
values from a query", finally using the expression as below to get the specific value you want:
Expression(Backgroud Color):
=IIF(Parameters!Para.Value(1)="1221","red","yellow")

Setting the value of a field based on a dropdown list

I am using the latest production release of JHeadstart 10.1.3.0.91. I am trying to set the value of a field based on selecting the value of another field (drop down list). The drop down list field has the following attributes set autoSubmit="true" immediate="true" valueChangeListener="#{jhsPageLifecycle.updateModelValue}".
The other field has the partialtrigger set to the first field. ie "depends on" selection from JHeadStart file. The value of the second field is set in the setter of the VO RowImpl java file.
The value of that field is only populated on the screen if it is set to disabled="true". This seems a bit bizzare behaviour. Can you explain why it cannot set the value of the field when it is not disabled.

Worked out that if i set the "Clear/Refresh value" attribute on the field that i want updated then it will work ok

I'm working in ECC 6.0. I have an Inbound Idoc of type WPUBON01. In the segment E1WPB01it has a field named BONNUMMER. My question is: How can I know what TABLE-FIELD is being populated with the value of that field? I mean, is there a way to know the mapping of the fields of an IDoc?

I did the following..
Go to the segement structure in SE12..
Double click on the data element for that corresponding field..
Then put a where used-list for that data element...To search in tables..
I got the table WPLST.

How to access the value of a field of a field symbol.

i need to access the value of a field in a field symbol. But when i am trying to get the value like <FS>-POSNR, it's showing that that the <FS> has no structure.
In my program, the field itself that i need to check should be dynamic. ie i'll get the field in a variable and i need to find the value of that field.
Am pasting my code below, please tell me what needs to be done.
here in my sample code i am moving the entry of the <FS> into a work area structure. But in my actual program, i gets the structure as a parameter. So is there any way i can declare a work area dynamically...

Fields required based on a value in another field

Hi,
I am looking to have fields required (Annual Revenues and # of Employees) based on the value of another field (Ownership). Basically, if the value is Public the user is required to enter the Annual Revenue and Employees fields. I thought about using dynamic layouts but the only key field for Accounts is Account Type.

Hi Caryn!
I think it is not possible for making #Employees and Revenues required depending on Ownership(as it is a look up field).. it should be possible if you want to do it on any other criteria other than ownership by just renaming the Account Type, Disable all the values of Account Tyope add new values to Pick List and make it driving picklist upon your requirements..
If you require Account Type, create a custom picklist "Account-Type" and add the values.

Change cell color based on time

I have a row with 24 cells. I want each cell (from left to right) to change color based on the time. Each cell will represent 1 hour A1=Midnight, B2=1AM, etc... At those specific hours I'd like the corresponding cell to change color. So, at midnight, A1 will change from white to red. I figured I could do this with conditional formatting.
I created a table with =NOW() and formatted it to display only the hour. I then created my 24 column row and pointed each cell in that row to that =NOW() cell. Each cell now displayed the current hour. I setup conditional formatting so that, for example, if A2=1AM (as displayed in the cell) then the formatting would change, but this didn't seem to work. I'm guessing the conditional formatting is just seeing the formula and not the value in the cell. Any thoughts here?

There are a couple of issues involved:
1. Conditional formatting rules compare the value in the cell to be formatted to a fixed value or to the value in another cell. If the rule says "=", then the values must be exactly the same.
2. Date and Time values in Numbers always contain both a time component and a date component. Always. The cell may be formatted to display only the time, only the date, or both, but no matter what is displayed, the values are equal only if the complete Date and Time value is the same.
3. "Midnight", "1AM", are text values. They will never be equal to a Date and Time value.
So the problems are to:
• Extract the Hour from the Date and Time value returned by NOW()
• Convert that number to a text value in the form "9AM", "9PM", or optionally "Midnight", and I presume, "Noon"
• Store that changeable value where it may be compared to the value in the cell to be conditionally formatted.
• Construct the rule to format the cell(s).
Row 1 contains a sample of the 24 cells to be formatted.
Columns D and E, rows 2 to 25 are a LOOKUP table, where the HOUR value is looked up and the corresponding text value returned.
F2 (highlighted with an orangeish fill) contains the formula which extracts the HOUR value from NOW(), looks it up and returns the value displayed (and to be compared).
F2: =LOOKUP(HOUR(NOW()),D2:D25,E2:E25)

The LOOKUP table can be avoided using this formula in F2
=OFFSET($A$1,0,HOUR(NOW())-15)
The -15 at the end of the formula works for my sample table, in which column 1 (column A) is 3PM. For column A=Midnight, the shift should be -0 (or just left off).

Color report rows based on a value in that row

I would like to Color report rows based on a value in that row.
For examplle with the "EMP" table:
I would like job=MANAGER to be red and job=CLERK to be green etc etc
The other example I found only had the option of one color either the highlight or the default color.
I am looking for a way to do multiple colors.

In the row template, you can use #1#, #2#, etc to indicate where a field in the report needs to be output. This does not have to be plain text - ie, you can use it within style tags if you like.
So, take a query like:
SELECT EMPNO,
ENAME,
DEPTNO,
DECODE(DEPTNO, 10, 'green', 20, 'red', 30, 'cyan', 'white') BG_COLOUR
FROM EMPYou get columns 1=empno, 2=ename, 3=deptno and 4=bg_colour. In the row template, you can then do:
Before Rows setting (sets up the table):
<table>
<tr><td>ID</td><td>Name</td><td>Dept</td></tr>After Rows setting (closes the table):
</table>Row Template 1 (used for ALL rows):
<tr style="background-color:#4#;"><td>#1#</td><td>#2#</td><td>#3#</td></tr>Then, for every row, the colour that has been calculated using the DECODE function will be used in the style tag to colour the background for the entire row.
How you determine the colours is up to you. I've used DECODE here, but you could use a field on the DEPT table to hold this and use this in your SQL statement.

Assuming you are having two fields on the page. One LOV for empID (ID: empIDV) and messageTextInput for emp Name (ID: empNameV)
1) Create a VO for your LOV having a query like SELECT emp_num, emp_name FROM employees;
2) Create region for LOV using table using wizard based on the VO created above (choose emp_num as messageStyledText and emp_name as formValue). Also make search allowed true for emp_num.
3) Create a LOV map1:
LOV region item: empId
Return item: empIDV
Criteria item: empIDV
4) Create lovMap2:
LOV region item: empName
Return item: empNameV
