Adjust density on HP Laserjet P2015dn printer

Hello,
I use HP Laserjet P2015dn printer with Windows 7 Ultimate. I would like to ask you how to adjust the density of printing. I couldn't find any similar option in the printer's properties.
Thanks.

Stasko,
I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums since this is a commercial printer. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/ .
I hope this helps.

    Hi jp21,
I hate to hear you are having issues.  Please Click Here for available software for this unit.  Due to the variety of Linux systems and supported printers for those types of systems, you may be redirected to other sites.   For this type of OS you may need to download an updated version of HPLIP or install it if missing.  Please Click Here to determine if you need to install or update HPLIP.  Please see the steps below to navigate previous software link and confirm the current IP address.  If you are not able to ping the printer's current IP address skip to the user guide link to troubleshoot networking issues.
    From driver/software page:
    1. Click Linux
    2. Scroll down and click obtain software(under pink band)
    3. Click the link in middle of page labeled, 'Download Linux drivers from HP Linux Imaging and Printing Web site'
    4. Click hplip link(this will redirect you to the HPLIP download)
    5. Determine if HPLIP download/update is required from link above
    6. If required click download
    7. Answer initial installation questions
    8. Follow prompts to install HPLIP and printer
    Confirm IP address:
    1. From product control panel-print configuration page
    2. Press and hold Go button for 5 seconds
    3. Configuration page will print
Please Click Here for the printer user guide.  It contains useful information for solving network issues.

  • LaserJet P2015DN Printing Is Very Faint. Is This Fixable w/Parts?

I ask this cause back in the old days a laserjet was something that deserved a new fuser, fuser roller or whatever.  No matter what printing options I use, the printing is very faint on this printer.  I have a second one that prints properly.  I see online that there is no support available for this model any more.  Does that mean there are no parts either?  I guess for the price of a new replacement, it may not be worth dealing with it.  But, I've got a dual paper tray version DN.  I'd just as soon keep this one if I can.
    Any help is appreciated.  TIA.

    Greetings,
I'm sorry to hear your nearly 15 year old printer is squeaking so loudly.  I helped develop that printer and it’s always sad to hear that one is failing a customer.  I fear I won't be able to help you root cause the problem, but I’ll certainly try.  Here are some things to try::
    1) Try installing a different toner cartridge.  Sometimes the drum / seals / etc can make a noise.
    2) Try isolating the noise to a component in the printer.  Take a picture of the component and post it.
    3) As I recall, the 5m printer has a replaceable fuser.  It’s possible that the gears / rollers are worn to the point of making noise.
    4) Try searching the internet for solutions to squeaks of other LaserJet models such as the LaserJet 4, 4+, 4000, 4050
For instance, here’s a link you might try: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=bpl12433&prodTypeId=18972&pro...
    Good luck!

  • Printing problems with HP Laserjet P2015DN

We are using SAP Business One software and are trying to print Delivery Slips using HP Laserjet P2015DN. The problem we have is when we use this printer it prints boxes around the entry fields. I have tried several drivers but no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am using a print server with 2003 opreating system
    Thanks Jim Dyer

    JIm,
When you say it prints boxes around the entry fields, do you mean for all reports?  If only selected reports have the boxes, check the border for entry fields
    Thanks,
    Gordon

  • Enabling the printing function of your HP Laserjet M1005 printer

If you wonder how to install the printing function of your HP Laserjet M1005 printer, here is listed a bullet list of the actions. This has just been tested out thanks to the Support team from Germany
Go to the page http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=1 839459&lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=1839458&taskId=135 and select the link Mac OS X; download the link "HP LaserJet M1005 MFP Mac OS X Full Software Solution"
Use the opportunity to update your printer firmware by selecting the link "Printer Firmware Update"
Shutdown your Mac and start up in the safe boot mode (should be the combined keyboard shift and power on/off - refer to the Apple web site for details)
Run the downloaded SW package listed in the step 1
Go and select under system settings printer and fax, follow the step-by-step instructions to have a printer installed
Shutdown your Mac and start up again in the safe boot mode
Connect your printer and the printer SW installation message shoud pop up requesting you to install it
SW download process should appear and run
Be aware that just the printing function will be available - no scanning function so far
For those who may be interested in knowing why safe boot mode: it is likelz that my anti-virus SW Kaspersky denied the installation.

  • HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome

HP LASERJET CP1525nw print error when printing online Gmail emails with Google Chrome. Extra large font sizes and weird formatting issues only when printing emails from Gmail within Chrome. No problems when printing the same email from Gmail+Internet Exolorer or Thunderbird. Using the IE Tab extension in Chrome prints the email correctly but the style of Gmail's message window is completely weird ie: formatting bar is spread out vertically instead of horizontally. I believe it is clear that this is an application specific issue between the HP LASERJET CP1525nw printer and Google Chrome + Gmail. This printing scenario does not occur when printing anything else or when printing via another printer. I would appreciate receiving any suggestions to solve this issue.
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
    Browser: Google Chrome 15
HP Print driver: HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 v5.4.0

    Hi AbZu,
You need to contact Google Chromes technical support as this is only an issue with Chrome. You have indicated that the printer functions correctly everywhere else. Check out the link below for Google Chrome technical support. Let me know if you need additional assistance?

  • HP LaserJet 4300 prints gibberish for one user, but prints OK for all others on a Windows 7 32-bit

HP LaserJet 4300 printer installed via LPT1 using Universal Print Driver v5.2.6.9321 on an HP 8100 desktop running Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 32-bit.
For one particular user, this printer prints gibberish no matter what type of document she attempts to print.
Not sure when the problem began, the user uses a network printer to work around this issue. She can print to any of the other HP printers on our network OK, including another 4300 down the hall.
Anyone else can log on and print the same documents OK on this desktop using this printer.
Have tried rebooting the HP 8100 and power cycled off/on the 4300. Also uninstalled and re-installed the 4300.
I have updated the firmware on this 4300.
Changing the print processor in the printer properties did not help either.
Virus and malware scans have not detected any issues.
Any advice for this issue would be greatly appreciated.

  • How can I determine how many pages my Laserjet 1020 printer has printed in its lifetime?

I am trying to be proactive in determining whether I need to plan to replace my Laserjet 1020 printer.  I know that I have seen printouts from resellers/refurbishers which show the number of pages that a printer has printed in its lifetime.  I am just trying to figure out how to get this information from my printer so that I can see how much life it has left.  Can anyone tell me how to generate this report?
    Thanks!!

i can't attach my hp color laserjet cp1215 printer.

    Adhvaresh,
"attach" is a word we usually use for plugging in cables - but I don't think that is what you mean.
If you want a driver for that model laserjet, I suggest you use the foo2hp set of drivers. Install Foomatic and ghostscript from here:
    http://www.linuxfoundation.org/collaborate/workgroups/openprinting/macosx/foomat ic
    Then, install foo2HP from:

  • HP Color LaserJet 1600 Printer

I really love my HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer but haven't been able to successfully install it in my brand new MacBook Air 1.7 despite several attempts.
I have downloaded the correct Firmware Upgrade 20120928 v2.4 from HP Drivers web page. Unlocked RFU to ON position and installed the firmware. Added HP Color LaserJet 1600 Printer via USB, as required and my MacBook correctly identifies it as such. Though the driver I have chosen is HP Color LaserJet 2605 since the one for 1600 is not available in the database. The printer responds positively during the upgrade but later does not print. I can see the print command being transmitted to the printer but it stays dead.
Please help and let me know stepwise how to do it correctly.
