Adjust image resolution from Lightroom into Revel

Anyone know how to change the upload resolution into Revel from Lightroom? It currently is 240dpi I need 300dpi. I can change it when I upload/export into my hard drive.
Thanks,
Jesus Marez

  • Drag and drop from Lightroom into Premiere doesn't work in Windows

I recently switched from OSX to Windows and noticed that in Windows, I'm unable to drag and drop from LIghtroom into Premiere. In OSX, it worked fine.
I do this a lot because it's a time saver. I basically use lightroom to find the photo or video clip I need for my editing project and then just drag in right on to the Premiere timeline. Now I have to do the extra step in Lightroom of "show in explorer", then drag the file from explorer to Premiere. Not really a big deal but just curious why it works in OSX and not Windows.
I'm running latest Windows 8.1, Lightroom 5.4, Camera Raw 8.4, and Premiere Pro CC 7.2.2 (33)

    Hi Pete,
    You can obtain scripts here:
    http://www.robcole.com/Rob/ProductsAndServices/MiscLrPlugins#MiscScripts
You'll have to edit lua code to adapt for Premiere. Not that hard really (e.g. clone, then change the script name and path to executable..), but may be too intimidating for some folks. If you are one of those folks, go for the plugin instead - it's usable via GUI - no lua code - can probably accomplish the same thing.

Let me know (outside the forum please) if problems - thanks,

  • Images sent from Lightroom 5 won't appear in Elements 12

About one month ago I've bought and installed on my computer Photoshop Elements 12. However since then I had never launched the programme, which I did for the first time yesterday by trying to send five TIFF shots from Lightoroom 5.4 to Elements (Photo > Edit in > Merge to HDR in Photoshop).
Elements did open but the five images were not displayed. The same exact thing has happened when I've tried to send from Lightroom to Elements six other shots to merge to Panorama.
I'm working on a brand new computer with Windows 7. The operating system and both Adobe softwares have the latest updates installed.
Could the problem be that I've waited too long before launching Elements after having installed it? When the program opened for the first time yesterday it appeared a message which read that the first launch should have happened within 7 days from installation and never during the process I was asked to input the software's serial numbers (is this the way it's supposed to be?).
Do you think that I should uninstall Elements and start from scratch all over again?

Have you set up the PSE12 Editor correctly in Lightroom?
If not click Edit >> Preferences from the Library and then choose the External Editing tab. Then click on the choose button under the additional editor section and navigate to the editor.
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12
Make sure you choose the application and not a shortcut (see image below) and select 8 bit tiff as your pref (not 16 bit images)
You can’t use merge to HDR with Elements. That function only works with Photoshop CC or Creative Suits. But you can choose a thumbnail in the LR Library and open it for editing in PSE12 by pressing Ctrl+E or using Edit In >> Photoshop Elements 12 Editor.

  • Opening photos from Lightroom into Camera Raw?

    Hello!
I have a little problem since I upgraded to CS4.
I used to open my (RAW) photos from Lightroom (2) into Camera Raw - it did it automatically when I clicked "edit in photoshop". Now it doesn't work anymore, and I have no idea why - it opens the pictures directly into Photoshop. I was told in the Lightroom forum that it's a functionality that was changed in CS4 and that I wouldn't be able to get to Camera Raw from Lightroom anymore.
However, I really liked my old workflow Lightroom > Camera Raw > Photoshop, and I much prefer CR's interface, so if anybody's got an idea on how to fix this, or get it to work again, it would be really great.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Maybe the following would help.
    1. In lightroom, go to: Photo>Edit In>Open as Smart Object in Photoshop.
    2. Once the photo is in photoshop, double click the Smart object thumbnail in the layers panel to open camera raw.

  • Image resolution from 72 to 300 for print

    hello photoshopers.
if i am to print a large banner or Billboard that will be 10meters by 5meters height.lets say i do my documents settings 10cm x 5cm 72dpi in order for the mac to work faster, could i later change the document settings to 300dpi or would my print come out pixelated?
is it recomended to change the resolution from 72  to 300 at the end of a project?
    thank you.

You have to do the Math in your scaling ratio.  What you have to do is achieve around 100ppi image resolution at 100% final size for grand format billboard output.  You could get away with 72ppi image resolution, so if your scale is 400% ( or file size @ 25% ); a 300ppi image res in the file will work.  Now, to answer your question...no.  Final resolution should be pre-determined at file construction / origination.  So, if you want 300dpi document resolution at 100%; the file resolution should be 1200dpi / 300ppi min.  Try to get in the habit of preparing your files this way.  You should know going in what your final resolution requirements are for each project.  It is faster to work at 72dpi, however, I'm not sure it is a good idea because Raster effects usually do not regenerate well sizing up to 300dpi later on.

  • Photoshop is changing the name of images imported from Lightroom.

Today I sent a batch of photos to Photoshop from Lightroom (via the Edit In menu selection). When I completed the work in Photoshop I selected SAVE, as I always do, only the photos are returning to Lightroom with a new file name instead of the same name (as always in the past) with a .psd suffix. Has there been a change to Photoshop CC I am not aware of. Both programs are up-to-date.

Thanks for looking at my problem. When I looked carefully at the new name (thanks dj for telling me to do that) I realized that the name had parts of what I had added as a preset and applied in External Editing. What appears to have happened is that my original preset was corrupted and dropped out the part that told it to use the original file name. I have repaired it and now all is well. Thanks for the responses and the help! Much appreciated.

  • Photoshop Images Transferred from Lightroom

Each time that I try to transfer an image from LR 4.1 to PSCS6 the transferred image shows blocky areas of transparency. (See the attached image for an example). These are not permanent in the image and sometimes go away when you change the View. With this one, I can't make it disappear.  I tried using Bridge to open the image in ACR and then PSCS6 and there are no such problems.  My normal workflow is Import to Lightroom and then Edit in Photoshop, when necessary. With some more testing, it seems that this effect happens only when Photoshop is not loaded, but is loaded when invoked from LR.  If PS is up and running, then the pictures transfer normally.  However, many times, I use Photoshop to edit a picture and then close it until I need it again.Note this is Win 7x64

  • Show image item from table into form's item.

    Hi Friends,
    My problem is:
    I have 1 table with 2 cols:
    eid number
    e_pict blob.
I created a form (block based on this table). I'm able to show any valid image file stored in disk into e_pict (declared as image item) using the built_in READ_IMAGE_FILE. and also able to save it in the table test. But if I want to do the reverse process I mean retrieve the image from table's field to the image item of form, it creates problem. I even cannot compile the post_text_item trigger of eid:
    select e_pict into :test.e_pict
    from test
    where rtrim(eid)=rtrim(:eid);
    It is giving error:
    bad bind variable 'test.e_pict'
    Pls help me.
    Regards,
    Pragati.

If I declare the image field as long raw instead of blob then also the same problem.
I can save the image from file to database through a form but cannot retrieve an image from database to form.
    Pls help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Pragati.

  • Image transfer from Lightroom 2 to Lightroom 4

If I currently have Lightroom 2 and have all my images stored in it, will installing Lightroom 4 from a new software disc make my current images in Lightroom 2 disappear?  Or do the images automatically transfer?

Just to clarify, your images are NOT stored in Lightroom, they are stored on you hard disk somewhere, where ever you put them. Your edits are stored in Lightroom.
There is nothing magic about what happens when you install and run Lightroom 4. The first time it runs, LR4 upgrades your Lightroom 2 catalog, so you can still work on all of your images (plus new ones) in Lightroom 4. There might be a dialog box or two asking if you want to do this upgrade. You should click on YES or OK or similar.

  • Raw files do not open from Lightroom into Photoshop 2014

I developed files in LR and trying to open them into PS 2014 CC, it launches the program but do not open. Any idea what to do?

    Hi,
This is a bug resulting from an uninstall of the previous Ps CC version (14.x). We are working on a fix for this currently.
If you would like to resolve this before we can post the fix, you need to uninstall Ps CC 2014 (15.0) [you don't have to remove preferences when asked], and then reinstall.
    Sorry for the hassle.
    regards,

  • What file format is needed to import images files from Lightroom or CC directory?

I have tried accessing psd, tiff and jpeg files to import them into Adobe Shape.  All have received an error message saying that the file format isn't supported. What file format should I be using for my images in order to import them?
    Thank you!

If your not going to do any individual layer effects or animation then TIFF's would be generally easier and faster to work with. If you are gong to do some effects and layer animation you should do that in Motion then bring the Motion project into FCP.
My Opinion, My Two Cents, That's might be what its worth.

  • How to organize image libraries from lightroom

just getting started on my new Imac...
I have years worth of images stored on two hard drives and a laptop and a pc.  Many duplicates since I am constantly worried about crashes and the like.
My best effort to organize was done about 5 months ago on my pc laptop(windows 7 and lightroom).  I have keywords in the lightroom indexes and would like to bring as much forward to the new platform as possible.
I've read that the lightroom images should be converted to a dmg format which will save the info.
Is that the correct starting point?
Should it be Aperture or Iphoto?

There's no "should" here. If you want to use Lightroom then by all means do. There is a Mac version. If you want to move app as well then Aperture and not iPhoto is your port of call. If you do choose to stay with LR then the Adobe forums would be the place to start looking for assistance.
