Adjusting form margins?

Specifically, adjusting the padding/margin on the lefthand side. When I embed the form there is too much padding on the left, causing it to line up strange on my web page.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I am including a screenshot of text I typed below the form on my web page.
I typed "ADOBE: This sentence is added to show that..."
You will see that the form has a signifcant padding on the lefthand side and does not line up flush left.
I would rather not give the link as the site is not live yet. Below is a copy of the HTML:
<p><script type="text/javascript" src="https://formscentral.acrobat.com/Clients/Current/FormsCentral/htmlClient/scripts/adobe.for m.embed.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript">
var f3HpFKIaxcKTyXRI9BcGY4A = new ADOBEFORMS.EmbedForm({formId:"3HpFKIaxcKTyXRI9BcGY4A", server:"https://adobeformscentral.com/", width:543, showHeader:false, transparent:true, widthAfterRedirect:543, heightAfterRedirect:400});
f3HpFKIaxcKTyXRI9BcGY4A.display();
</script></p>
<p>ADOBE: This sentence is added to show that there is an alignment issue. As long as there is no other text but the form, you can't see it.</p>
Thank you for any help you may offer.

I have built a form on my laptop running Oracle Developer Suite 10g (10.1.2.0.2) and runs fine. I started having the message below
:FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
when I tried to open this form on another version of Forms running Oracle Developer Suite10g (9.0.4.2.0) on another computer.
Could this be the reason - non-backward compatibility.
If this is the reason, Is there a way to around it.
    Many thanks

Yes, you are correct - you cannot create a form in 10.1.2 then try to run it in 9.0.x. There is no way to avoid this.
In order to go from an older version to a newer version, you must recompile the source code (FMB, MMB, PLL) in the version where you expect to run it. You cannot simply take an FMX file which was created in 9.0.4 and expect it to run in 10.1.2. This would fail. New executables would need to be created using the 10.1.2 compiler.

  • Adjust print margins or printable area on laserjet printer

Is there a way to adjust printer margins or printable area on HP laserjet printers such as the 5000, 8000 or 9040 series?
Using either Windows XP or Windows 7 64-bit.
We print CAD drawings to these types of laserjets and the CAD software shows a usable printable area.  I'm wondering if this can be adjusted through drivers or firmware or what controls this?
For example, one printer shows a printable area of 10.653" x 8.138" for a letter size sheet.
    Thanks.

    Hi 3gman,
There is a non-printable area for the LaserJets.  The margin for those printers is about 4.5mm or 1/6" around the edge of the paper.  Even if your software allows you to set a margin value of 0, the printable area will still be approximately equal to your example (10.653 x 8.138").

  • "Unable to adjust form for output" err msg

When attempting to compile a form, using either forms builder or
compiler, I get the following error message:
FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
When looking up the error code, I see:
Cause: The LOV name referenced does not exist.
Action: Specify another LOV name, or delete the reference.
FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
    Any ideas out there?

Check all LOVs. Some of LOVs return values in non-existing
fields. Open LOV properties and go to "Column mappings" and
check Return Items for all fields in every LOVs.

  • Form: FACTORY_ADDRESS :FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.

    Hi there,
I have Oracle Enterprise 9i and Developer 10g with Forms on my laptop. I have created a form which runs quite alright from my laptop, but on transferring this form to another computer running Oracle Enterprise 10g and Developer 10g with Forms and with exactly the same backend database schema, it gave me the following error and would not load.
    Form: FACTORY_ADDRESS
FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
    What can be wrong?
    Many thanks in advance

You need to recompile your fmb files to fmx when you redeploy your forms in a new major version. What exact version (all the 5 version digits you find when you show the About box in the builder) are running in the two installations?

  • Help adjusting content margin, on a site-wide template using goodwebby

Hello, i am having trouble adjusting page margin on my website.
This is only happening within my site-wide inner template.
Only pages via  menu. Such as Get a quote, Contact us, all the product catagorys ect..
The home page runs on its own template and its fine.
    thank you.

It looks like the whole right section is not sitting in the correct DIV.
It needs to be inside 'main_container_inner' otherwise it's floating to the right of the entire page.
I would say whichever template your using on those pages needs an update.
    Cheers,
    Justin

  • Custom adjusting print margins

I want to adjust the margins of a print so they be asymetric. In the parameter window, the margin adjusment section is inactive. How can I activate it?

Thank you for the additional information. I have Elements v.8, and the margin controls are not active in the dialog for me either.
Here is a work-around using MS PAINT, although if you do not have this, try another program from which to print.
    Enhance the picture in Elements
Go to Select>all, Edit>copy. This puts the picture on the clipboard of the computer
    Open Paint, go to Paste
Drag the picture to where you want it.

This screen shot shows a 4x6" picture in landscape mode. The dialog for setup of margins is active.
    Hope that this helps you.

  • How do I adjust print margins in Safari

    Hello
I am trying to print out multiple forms via Safari for printing onto removable sticky  address labels.  I cant seem to adjust the print setting to align the text with the label.  I need to set margins to do this.  I have tried adjusting the printable area via the manage custom sizes but this doesn't seem to work.  All my efforts still result in the printer printing will very narrow margin and my text doesn't align with the labels.
I am worried the I might create a world shortage of ink in my attempts to work out what's wrong.  Please help.
I am printing shipping labels in eBay using the Seller manager pro package .
I am using an OKI C531 LED Printer
    Many thanks

I am using Snow Leopard and I don't really see a +shrink to fit+ option.
Using Safari (This also happens with Firefox and Opera), when I do the ⌘P, I get the following dialog:
    [Print Dialog 1|https://files.me.com/w1jp/udykuc]
The only option I see to scale is either putting some number in the +Scale box+ or on the +Paper Handling+ dialog:
    [Print Dialog 2|https://files.me.com/w1jp/uwm676]
Selecting +Scale to fit paper size+ didn't fix the problem either.
It's like the margins aren't working for this printer when printing web pages. All the other applications (non-browser) print correctly.

    Tnx,

  • Javascript to adjust form field font size by number of entered characters?

I have a form field that asks for 'full name' (first, middle, last). It's posted large at the top of the form. Some people's names are short, some long.
Is there a javascript way to adjust the font size used within a form field based on the number of characters entered into field?
i.e. if the name entered is Joe Smith, the font size is 30pt, if it's Alexander Hamilton the font size is 20pt?
    Thanks!

Uhm... because I never noticed that option before! hehe. Jeez.
Gilad, thx much. That's exactly what I was looking to accomplish.
(An aside: trying to find a specific Adobe solution or function isn't very easy. I always search the forums, the documentation, and Google before posting any question here. Seems like there are so many features in every product that change so frequently that finding even a simple answer is a challenge...)

  • Adobe print form margin problem

    Hello,
I am trying to print a Adobe print form on Kyocera printer(Using HPLJ4 device type).
I want to print content from 0.5 CMs, but if i give no margin in the design,Output is being Cropped.Print preview is okay.
    Can any one help me?
    Thanks,
    Guru Prasad

    Hello,
I think you can try with different device type like POSTSCPT or SAPWIN,
During the print it use different character widths when you use different device types to
output the same form, HPLJ4 is PCL-5 and the largest.
You can refer to notes 90437 and 183948 for more information.

  • Adjusting forms in Adobe Muse

Does anybody know how the coding of a form in Muse can be adjusted in the html because hard returns that are put in a field are not shown in the notification form?
    eg. Two pair of shoes
    eggs
    hands
Is shown as: Two pair of shoes eggs hands
Secondly the sender of the e-mail in the notification form is never the e-mail of the person that filled in the form?
    Please help :-)

About this episode.  You clearly saw that the form would not work in the third party hosting site but you pretended all was OK. I was calling you names the rest of the video.  Such deception. Good presentation overall but a mention that forms will only work with business catalyst should have been talked about as well.

  • Manually Adjusting Box Margins Shifts Entire Box for Windows 8

When adjusting box/text margins on Windows 8, elements appear to jump in many directions.
The attached screenshot of the behavior shows where I tried to adjust the top margin using
my cursor and instead of narrowing the gap of the top margin, the entire box shuffled down.
    This occurs in random intervals.

Thanks for reporting the issue, grayGhostVisuals and brex2040!  Would you be to post your .rflw files that have these layout issues, so that our team could download and take a look at them?  This would really help with debugging and addressing the problems you're running into.
If you have a Drop Box or other file posting method, that would be helpful.
Alternatively, this thread describes other approaches for posting files:
