Adjusting portal links for WorkProtect Feature - CRM ICWC & Portal Envt.
Hi everybody,
If user is logged into CRM ICWC through SSO.
While navigating from one window to another, to avoid loss of unsaved data.
Having unsaved data in an application is also called dirty state.
I came across some threads, but those are relevant for Web Dynpro.
Is there any way to do in Portal-CRM ICWC environment?
Valuable input please.
Regards,
Priyanka

Mathematica Link for LabVIEW, a new technical computing
application created by BetterVIEW Consulting, is now available.
This software bridges National Instruments LabVIEW graphical
development environment and Wolfram Research Mathematica
technical computing software to help engineers and scientists
more easily acquire and analyze measurements throughout all
phases of the design process.
Mathematica Link for LabVIEW combines the data acquisition,
analysis, and graphical user interface capabilities of LabVIEW
and the modeling and analysis algorithms of Mathematica to speed
development of custom applications in hundreds of industries,
from quantum mechanics to automotive. With this software,
engineers can control a LabVIEW application (Virtual Instrument
or VI) from Mathematica or access Mathematica from within a
LabVIEW VI.
Mathematica Link for LabVIEW features built-in, high-level
functions for creating a communication path between LabVIEW and
Mathematica to achieve seamless integration throughout the
design flow, from the first mathematical model to validating the
final design. For example, engineers and scientists can easily
send numeric computations to the Mathematica kernel and return
results to LabVIEW, visualize LabVIEW data using native
Mathematica data visualization functions, and create simple, yet
flexible simulation and control VIs that take advantage of the
symbolic programming capabilities of Mathematica.
Integrating two leading technical computing systems like
Mathematica and LabVIEW brings technical professionals one step
closer to having the ideal, start-to-finish work environment.
With Mathematica Link for LabVIEW, entirely new, hybrid
workflows become possible, thus enabling users to quickly and
easily find solutions to complex problems--solutions that would
be difficult, if not impossible, to realize using only one of
the component packages.
Mathematica Link for LabVIEW requires Mathematica 4.1 or later
and LabVIEW 6i or later, and is available for Windows and
Macintosh platforms. For more information about Mathematica Link
for LabVIEW, visit:

What functionality are you looking from the Amplitude and Level Measurement Express VI? There is not one-one replacement you can use. However, there are definitely ways of calculating the DC and RMS values of a signal as well as finding the max and min points, etc. Please be more specific in what you are trying to accomplish.

Workprotect feature for R/3 or SEM backend systems
Hi All,
I think the workprotect mode within the portal can be used only for CRM backend systems...
We have R/3 transaction iViews and SEM transaction iViews written in BSP's and want to implement workprotect feature for all these transaction iViews...
I would appreciate if anyone of you can post the sample piece of code to implement this feature.
Thank you
SomHi,
Workprotect mode is a feature of the portal framework which can be used via javascript API by the applications which are running in the portal. This javascript API is the EPCM file.
If you want to use the workprotect mode of the portal you have to define a variable in your javascript which will hold the status of the dirtyFlag.
var dirtyFlag = false;
Take care that the variable will not be disappear with the next roundtrip.
Now tell the portal that you will take part of the workprotect mode by subscribing to a special event of the portal.
epcm.subscribeEventReliable("urn:com.sapportals.portal:workprotect","inquiryProtection",window,"my_protectionHandler");
Now define a javascript function:
function my_protectionHandler( event ){
return dirtyFlag;
What will happen:
You have subscribed to an portal event which will be thrown when the user will navigate. In order that the portal knows which javascript function it must call to the your dirtyFlag you tell him the name of your function, ie. my_protectionHandler.
The only thing is now that you have to set the dirtyFlag depending on your business.
This is the workprotect function for portals since 6.0.
Hope this brief explanation will helps.
with best regards

Is Acrobat Pro right for us. We have an Employee Handbook that needs editing. Some is current pdf, some from an older version. Want to get all into one handbook, have the table of contents automatically adjust and link to specific pages from the ToC.
You can download the trial version (http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html) to convert the PDF back to WORD if you do not have the original. The conversion may not be perfect, but it is typically better than starting from scratch. You may be lucky and get a good result. You might check the settings (in the save screen) to try retain format versus retain text flow. The format version can be a pain to edit since it creates a bunch of text boxes. The flow version may require you to reformat in WORD, but you likely would want to do that anyway.

Scheduled Discoverer report link for viewer in portal
Hi,
When a link for scheduled report for plus users is created in portal Oracle suggestes the following. This is good since it does not need the run number and the same link will work for all reruns.
http://<host.domain>:<port>/discoverer/plus?cn=cf_a156&opendbid=SALES_ANALYSIS2&sheetid=42&workbooksource=Scheduled
whereas for opening a scheduled workbook result in viewer the link needs the run number which prevents using the same link for every run.
Do anyone found a way to workaround this
Thanks for the help
JayHi Jay
I can see that you've had this posted for a little while so I thought I would at least let you know that I've read it. I'm afraid the answer is not what you hoped though as I don't know of a way off the top of my head to do what you ask.
Sorry, regards

Hello Firefoxies,
Is there an "insert all links" type of feature or add-on for Firefox that works with Thunderbird or any email app? I want to be able to insert all the links from a Firefox bookmarks folder automatically in to an outgoing email and include the names that I have given to those saved links / bookmarks.
I searched for this add-on on the Firefox and the Thunderbird sites, but I don’t think the one that I found is for what I am thinking of.
What I would like to do is to be able to add all the links in a saved tabs folder, or any bookmarks folder, from Firefox in to the body of an outgoing email preferably in Thunderbird, or any email app... so I could just click and all the links and hopefully all the names that I have given to those links will then appear in the body of an outgoing email automatically, ready for me to then write what I want, plug in an address, and send.
When I did a search of add-ons on the Firefox and Thunderbird sites, I found something called “Open all links 0.3.1” on the Thunderbird site that I think is for the opposite of my description... I think this add-on is to automatically open all the links in an email that is received... '''which IS NOT what I want to do'''... I want to place all the links that I have in a Firefox bookmarks folder in to an outgoing email... the URL to the “Open all links 0.3.1” add-on is below for you to look at just in case I am reading this wrong...
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/2913/
Otherwise, I could not find any add-on that fits my description.
Thanks so much,

E-Recruiting EHP4 WebDynpro link for create internal application and portal
Hallo there,
we have installed ehp4 with web Dynpro and I am searching the link for creating an *internal* application.
The external Aplication I found in the se80 ERC_C_APPL_MGMT_UI. But this link is only for external applications.
The other Links I try to find is for the portal. I need it in the ESS and the MSS.
I didn't find them in the package PAOC_RCF_UI_SELF_SERVICES.Hello,
For creating manual internal and external applications, the WebDynpro application is the same - ERC_A_APPL_MGMT. The component is the same ERC_C_APPL_MGMT_UI as you have said in your e-mail. In this component you can also check the view V_APPL_DATA and see that both fields for internal and external are available. The fields are determined at runtime based on whether you have selected 'Internal' or 'External' link in the portal. In the recruiter portal role, when configuring the pages for internal or external you use Application Parameter IS_INTERNAL. If IS_INTERNAL=X then this parameter will be passed to the component mentioned above and the system will know that it should display internal candidate fields. If IS_INTERNAL=' ' then system will display for external and this is the default.
You can click package PAOC_RCF_WD_UI > Web Dynpro > Web Dynpro Applicat and right click ERC_A_APPL_MGMT to test. When the page opens, you can add parameter &IS_INTERNAL=X to the URL and you will see it will change to internal application page.
Hope this helps.

Coded UI automation support for MIcrosoft Dynamic CRM 2013
Hi,
I have been checking for a UI automation tool for Microsoft Dynamic CRM 2013. Even though it is mentioned as coded UI fully supports Dynamic CRM, I was not able to automate CRM with VS2013, VS2015 Preview. Please reply if you have any workaround to make
it possible to automate UI testing of CRM 2013 using coded UI.
Regards,
Vinu chandran.Hi Vinu,
According to your description,
could you please tell me what version of VS you use to test your coded UI test?
In addition, I did some search and don’t find any information about CRM2013 support for Coded UI test.
Based on this article:
Supported Configurations and Platforms for Coded UI Tests and Action
Recordings, Dynamics CRM web client is fully supported. Even though I am not sure whether it includes CRM2013, I suggest you should use VS to drag the crosshair
on the control to check the control can be identified by Coded UI Test.
In addition, since the issue is related to the Microsoft Dynamic CRM, I suggest you can ask the issue to
Microsoft Dynamic
CRM forum, may be you will get better support.
As you said that you are not able to automate coded UI test with VS2015 Preview, because VS2015 Preview is still a preview version
instead of final released version, I suggest that you should submit this feedback to Microsoft Connect feedback portal:
http://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/CreateFeedback.aspx,
Microsoft engineers will evaluate them seriously.
After you submit the feedback, you can post the link here which will be beneficial for other members with the
similar issue.
Thanks for your understanding.

Identical Related Link for all pages
We're trying to put a set of identical Related Link pages for all pages.
I tried the following.
Modify the DefaultFramework Page.
Drill into Desktop Innerpage
It consists of :
Detailed Navigation
Dynamic Navigation
Drag&Relate
Related links
Portal Favorites
Content Area
Made of a Copy of the Content Area iview, and added 2 Relate Links into this iview (save it as Content_Area_2)
Removed the Original Content Area under Desktop Innerpage and added Content_Area_2)
What I essentially did was assigned related links to the content area of the Desktop Innerpage. That should bring up the Related Links for all iViews.
Is that how it can be done ?
Does not seem to work.
Is there another way of doing it.boerli wrote:

You want to find all pages that have a particular image on
it?
From the Edit menu select Find and Replace.
In the Find In drop down select Entire Current Local Site
In the Search drop down select Source Code
Then in the Find field type in the filename
Now click Find All
The search results will show you all pages, you can double
click on each
file and the page will open with the filename highlighted in
the code.
Its not perfect, but Dreamweaver isn't GoLive. If its a
feature you
would like to see ask Adobe:

I am getting an error in "Step 2 - Setup or Remove Lync Server Components" of "Install or Update Lync Server System" step.
"An error occured while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore. For details, see the log file...."
Additionally, all previous steps such as: Prepare Active Directory, Prepare first Standard Edition server, Install Administrative Tools, Create and publish topology are done without any errors. The user that I used to setup the Lync server is member of:
Administrators
CSAdministrator
Domain Admins
Domain Users
Enterprise Admins
Group Policy Creator Owners
RTCComponentUniversalServices
RTCHSUniversalServices
RTCUniversalConfigReplicator
RTCUniversalServerAdmins
Schema Admins
I have tried to re-install all the things and started to setup a new one many times but the same error still occurred. Please see the log below and give me any ideas/solutions to tackle this problem.

An error occurred while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore.
Hello,
I am using my AD in Windows Azure VMs. I created new VM of A3 (4 cores, 7 GB Memory) Windows Server 2012 R2, Port 1433 MSSQL added, made it a member of Domain and planned to install first Lync Server 2013 on it.
In "Setup or Remove Lync Server Components" of "Install or Update Lync Server System", got an Red Coloured text "An error
occurred while applying SQL script for the feature BackendStore."
I have not enabled monitoring and archiving server in topology builder. I added "Network Service" and assign "Full Control" in Security Permissions of "C:\CsData" and "C:\LyncShare".
I executed the SQL Setup Wizard and upgraded any instance to 2012.
Please guide.
Thanks, Divyaprakash KoliPlease check you have enough disk space for the disk where the folders are.

Dear Sir,
We still use CRM 5.0, If I would like to mark for delete the business partner, how to mark for delete for BP in CRM??
And which table and field name to store for the mark for delete for business partner in CRM/
Please kindly advise.
Thnak you and best regards,
VimolHello!
It's not supported to delete Business Partners in CRM (Web- or PC-UI). You can just flag obsolete or redundant Business Partners for archiving.
However there is the transaction BUPA_DEL you can use in order to delete BPs.
