Adjusting the black in the Title screen

I am new to iMovie, so thanks for your help, what I can't seem to figure out is, when I place a title in my film, how to not have the black show up with it, so that just the title shows up over the scene I want. Is there something I'm missing? Thanks!!

Audio can be adjusted directly or indirectly. That is you can use the audio tool to either adjust the audio of the "selected file" or the audio of "all other" current audio present. The specific work flow will depend on the specific needs. Be advised, however, that audio can not be adjust continuously as it could in previous version of iMovie use the "rubber band" approach. You can, however, "split" your main A/V clips into sub-segments and make individual adjustments to both volume and in/out fades as needed for each segment since they will still play in the project as if they were one continuous clip.

PS.... I had a previous version on my computer that needed to be updated.... so I uninstalled it because I was having trouble installing the new version.... so even that did not help!!

Automatically set the Black and the White points in Aperture?

Jasoninajeep, in this thread, refers to this Aperture Export article, which includes the helpful hint that holding "{Option}" while clicking the auto-luminance button in the Curves brick will cause Aperture to set the Black and the White points without making any other changes.
Is there any other way to automatically set the Black and the White points in Aperture?

Unfortunately, it sounds like you may have a service issue on your hands. While our QuickStart guide provides details on installing the cartridges in their respective slots, putting those catridges in the wrong position may cause an internal issue with the Canon PiXMA MG3222.

What is the black spot on my screen I try to use the camera that faces me?

When i tried to use my camera on my iPod touch, a small black circle appears in the middle of the screen. It only happens when I use the camera that faces me, not the one on the back. I cleaned the screen thinking there was something on the lense but it is still there. I've only had it 3 days!

Unless you have a black circle on your nose, there is a problem with your iPod.
Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If that doesn't work, call Apple. After all, the unit is brand new. 800-275-2273 in the U.S.A. and, I think, Canada.

I want the black background in full-screen

I liked the old black background in full-screen option in Pages. Is there a way to get that back?

Plastic hinge keeps cracking/popping after I had cleaned it with the black cloth the laptop came with

i dont know why this is happening, but this is my 3rd macbook pro as a replacement and the cheap quality control is rediculous for something worth 2000 dollars. Ive had this thing for 2 months and it was flawless until i had decided to wipe off the debris on the hinge last night and all day, its been popping/cracking by itself ever since or whenever i close the laptop or adjust the screen or whenever i move the laptop if i let it sit there for a few minutes without touching it, it will pop by itself. its the same noise whenever you run your finger across the black hinge band and its coming from both sides randomly
did i just screw myself cleaning it? yippee, what should i do now?

My iPad first generation has a 2 1/2" gray line going through the center of it.... Noe it has turned blach and has very thin lines of multiple color at the bottom of the black on the lower side only. . IS IT DEAD...

In my situation, the screen simply started exhibiting the same symptoms a few weeks ago (early February) for no apparent reason. At first I thought the screen was dead, but discovered the heat solution by accident. Now I turn it on and keep it from going to sleep until I go to bed. Thank goodness the battery is still awesome on this thing.
I bought it new and still has the original screen, I keep it at home (never below 62 degrees). Coincidentally, this happened a day or two after the expiration of the warranty!! Any help figuring this one out would be eternally appreciated.

Why do placed images in illustrator print a different shade of black than the black in the document?

It has happened to me more than a few times. For example, I'll place artwork that was created in photoshop into an illustrator document, and the blacks are inconsistent. Any advice?

Your blacks may have different CMYK values. The default value for foreground swatch in photoshop is 75c 68m 67 y 90k and many people don't realize that is not 100%k. A common Rich black value is 60c 40my 100k, which makes the black darker, and still neutral by having cyan above my.
If you specify 100 k in photoshop & 100k in illustrator, and the colors print different, you may have a color destination profile assigned to your placed CMYK image.

Final Cut Editing Out the Black at the End

I am finishing up editing this one video and at the end there is a bunch of black. I want to edit this out so it doesn't keep playing black for like 10 seconds. How do I do this?

Take the track tool (T) click on each of the tracks at the end of your program and press delete to make sure.

I cant get the black and white apple screen off

every time its not being used or chraged, it goes to a black and white screen with an apple on it.
its not at hold and it is responding but how do i get it off of the screen?
its not working for me at all.
oh... and when ever i try to update my ipod, it never works.
only when i have the cd in there, and i redownload it.
is there any way to skip around any of these steps?
because i really dont want to go through the complicated prosses of downloading the softwear every time the softwear refuses to work.

Is it possible to change the automatically set image on the new iMovie Theater title screen?

I made a few movies on the new iMovies 2013 then uploaded into iTheater. I love the software and its ease of use. However, I noticed iTheater automatically sets the title image. Similar to youtube, iTheater probably uses the video mid point image as default. Is it possible to change the set image on iTheater?

Y 70-70 screen : problems with the black and white colors

Hi all, I just bought a Lenovo Y70-70 and already encountered several problems with the screen :- I had to change the notebook twice because of clearer zones on the black and because of dead pixels- The model I have now still presents irregularities in the black : if the screen is black, I can still see a few clearer zones on it, especially (but not exclusively) on the edges- concerning the white, I am a bit disappointed too : this color present zones that are sometimes ok, sometimes more yellow. Even if it is subtle, I nevertheless particularily see this effect when reading or typing, due to an optical effect that amplifies the phenomenom when text is displayed which tires my eyes. I also see it on colors like beige or grey. As I use this computer to play but also to work, it is uncomfortable. What I would like to know is if these problems are inherent to the screen, or if it is a defect. What should I do ? Did other people encounter the same problems ? I didn't find any setting to improve it. Installation of Mavericks is the culprit here. Lightroom versions 4.4 and earlier are not fully compatible with OS 10.9.x. There will be no more updates to Lightroom version 4.x so the only fix is to upgrade Lightroom to 5.0 or later or reinstall an older OS on Mac.

There can be several things that could effect your issue. If you are using a color calibration device, it may change your white balance. Check and verify that you really are using pure white when filling, a value of 255, 255, 255 thats red, green, and blue. Check and see what color mode you are in, are you in 8 bit, 16 or 32 bit. Are you in RGB, CMYK, or other color mode.
I am sure there are a few other things, that I haven't thought of at the moment that can effect your issue.
The next question is what do you mean by black and white? or should I say how did you make it that way. Was it already a black and white (grayscale)? or did you convert it in photoshop and if so how. The reason I ask is there are more than one way to convert a color image to black and white and how you do it will effect the final outcome.
