Adjusting the image denisty

I have had this issue a few times on Photoshop. When Opening a Greyscale or a bitmap image & making adjustment to the density & saturation. The changes are not saved & the image goes back to its original condition right away. I have started this process on the same file as JPEG,  PNG & PDF with the same result.

There is no way to control the placement of images when using them as fills. Your best option may be to place the images on the slide directly, size them how you want, and use masks to reveal the part you want, sizing it so that it would fit behind the table cell.

  • How to adjust the image?

hi i need help on this i have to do a slideshow and once i put the image in drop zone the image won't center i need to adjust the image but i dont know how pls. help me.

hey there Bill & welcome to Discussions.
if you want to play the slide show don't put it in a "Drop Zone", Drop Zones only play on the menu, not as the "feature movie".
select the "i" for the Inspector, & click on the desired drop zone. in the Inspector HUD you'll see some controls for adjusting your image. the inspector also has controls for adjusting music, buttons & bullets, depending on what you select in the Menu Template.
    good luck.

  • Web Dynpro ABAP - Adjust the image size

    Hello experts,
I am loading an image from a file server into an image UI element. This works really fine. The only problem I have is to adjust the display size of the image. I already tried relative sizes with percentages and also absolute settings with pixels. Nothing works the display size always stays the same, I guess it´s the resolution of the image. Did I miss an important setting? Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    André

    Hey folks,
thanks for your answers. In the meanwhile I could find out that the reason is my nested layout. I tried out some combinations and the image got scaled. So this was the reason.

  • Adjusting the image of a clip / chapter

I'm burning some clips to a DVD. When I look at the clips in the time line, and when I look at the Chapters in the Chapter list, they're all just blank black images, since that's how the clips all start. How do I make a different image be the "face" (for lack of a better word) of the clip, or the Chapter?
    TIA,
    Greg

After you have your videos in an iDVD project, you can click on each of the chapters/scenes in the scene selection submenu and change the image to a still image from that chapter.
You use the Inspector to bring up a small window to make your edits. There is a check box to set the still image and a slider that you can move to get to the image you want.
However, if you don't want just the still image, leave the chapter images alone and just choose how long you want each one to loop, and the chapter marker images will play each clip as it sits in the menu. I usually set mine to play for about 20-30 seconds.

  • Adjusting images in iWeb removes part of the image

If I adjust the image, the bottom 8th of the picture will have a white bar across it. It even carries over when publishing.
    Any ideas?

Hmm...this is interesting. It sounds like the white line problem that we've heard about before, but I've never heard of it affecting so much of the image. It probably depends on the aspect ratio of the image or something.
    Try this...
    1. Select the image in iWeb
    2. Open up the Inspector and click over to the Graphics tab
    3. At the bottom of the tab, change the opacity of the image to 99%
Now publish your page. Does this make any difference at all? BTW, what kind of adjustments are you making to the image??? Reflections?

  • Auto Smart Tone no longer changes the image (custom mode) when I click on the sample corner image

I open a new project in Adobe Premiere Elements 13 APE13 and add a raw data file (converted movie).  I trim the frames I don’t want out and then click on Auto Smart Tone so that I can correct the problems with the film clip. I choose custom and Adobe opens the screen with the 4 small sample picture images in the corners of a frame. I notice that there are 2 messages in the upper left corner.  “Your clip has been divided into visually similar Scenes.” And “Auto Smart Tone has already corrected all of your Scenes.  You can fine tune the results if needed, and Auto Smart will learn from your adjustments.” When I click on any of the four corners the grid in the middle comes up and moves to the corner selected.  The picture in the middle does not change.  I couple of projects back I did the same thing and the frame/scene changed to look like the image in the selected corner. I like the results I saw in the corners and clicking on them and moving the like cursor in the grid allowed me to adjust the image slightly.  Why, is this now not working? Is it because AST is automatically setting the new film to the old settings (why I get the message that it has already corrected the scene)?  I don’t want the auto correction.  How do I get rid of the corrections to allow this feature to work as it did in the past?

Thanks for the reply with the interesting yet troublesome current situation.
If the old will not do what it was doing presently, let us try the following first, that is, deletion of the Adobe Premiere Elements Pref file, and, if that does not work, the whole 13.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists...in your Windows 7 64 bit
    Local Disc C
    Users
    Owner
    AppData
    Roaming
    Adobe
    Premiere Elements
    13.0
and in the 13.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. And, if that does not work, then delete the whole 13.0 Folder in which it exists.
Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives disabled so that you can see the complete path cited.
Please let us know if the above impacted the Auto Smart Tone interaction with your files brought into it.
Another, sort of way out thought, make a copy of one of your files (one from good before but not now, and one from newer batch with just the bad) and rename the copy of each.
Import the newly named files in the feature and observe the results.
We will be watching for your results.
    Thanks.

  • HT2506 Suddenly Preview no longer saves altered images.  Once you crop or adjust you image it no longer saves it jpg or any format.  What's going on?

Preview was working fine then suddenly download images in any format could no longer be saved once I cropped or re-adjusted the image.  All that appears on the desk top after saving (no matter what format, jpg, tiff etc.) is a blank.
Preview used to be a handy piece of software for quick editing.  can't find any solutions right now.

Step one is to log into a newly created admin user account and see if the problem persists. If not, log back into the orignal account, remove the Preview plist file from your stupidly hidden users/Libarary/Preferencee/ directory, and relaunch Preview.

  • LR 4.3 continuously refreshes the image in develop mode

I am using LR 4.3 with Photoshop CS5. I have found that after editing a picture in photoshop (transfer from CR2 to .TIFF file) it correctly transfers back into LR as an updated .TIFF file with all edits from PS. However, on further editing of the picture in LR the image is refreshed after EACH edit (ie. file reloads into LR taking a few seconds). If I am trying to apply an edit as the refresh starts then that edit gets lost i.e. NOT applied. The refresh happends after ANY change to the file. It is very frustrating as it wastes time and makes editing slow (have to keep waiting for a refresh). It does not appear to happen in that way when editing CR2 files.
I have only noticed this feature since installing V4.3 although it may have been happening in previous versions. Is there any way round this problem?
I am using W7, i5 2.5 Ghz processor and 8 GB ram with dual screens.

This problem has existed in LR since about 3.0.
If Lightroom creates a tiff or psd for external edit, then when it is returned to LR and one attempts to further adjust the image, the adjustment sliders gray out, the photo reloads, then the sliders become active again.
Many folks say it is caused by the program writing to XMP, to turn "automatically write to XMP" off. Does NOT work!  It is not the root cause.
Bampton says to flick to the next photo. Does NOT work. This is not normal behavior.
What will work to stop the activity is to close and reopen the program. This is not normal behavior.
This will not occur if the file(tiff or PSD) is written by Photoshop. If you are using 4.X and CS6 then Photoshop will write the file at the end of your session in PS. No blinkies.
If you are using 3.X and CS5 together you will not experience the problem since again PS writes the file. No blinkies.
If you are using 4.x and CS5 or under you will encounter the problem, blinkies!
I have not encountered the problem with any file written by the OS or any other program.
The problem is ONLY with tiffs or PSD files created by LR for external editing. It would seem to me this is a bug.
It is not a major bug, but annoying.
    I have filed a bug report again here......http://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/lr_continuously_refreshes_the_image_ in_develop_mode?rfm=1
Please drop by and sign it...........maybe we can get some attention this time. I filed a bug report before, but can't find it.
    Thank you for your time,

  • How do I rotate the image?

I am using Adobe Photoshop CC and I need to know how to rotate an image.

This is probably more than you ever wanted to know about rotating an image. It is an Information Sheet I wrote and distributed to my students and you may find it helpful.
Three popular methods used to straighten a tilted scene, such as the one shown the first photograph above, are Image Rotation, Straighten and the Level feature in the Crop tool. Each requires you to draw a horizon line or similar reference as a first step in the process, and each produces slightly different result.
    Image Rotation*:
      1. Choose the Ruler tool. (It is nested with the Eyedropper tool.) Click and drag a reference line as shown in the middle image in the top row above.  (The area around the image was lightened and red circles were added for clarity.) Depending upon the subject, the line may be horizontal, as seen here, or vertical.
      2.  Choose Image > Image Rotation > Arbitrary. When the Rotate Canvas menu appears, click OK. The result will be similar to Fig.1 above, showing the entire image.
    Straighten*:
Once again, begin by choosing the Ruler tool and drawing the reference line. A feature was added to the Ruler tool in version CS5 and it appears in the Options bar: the Straighten command. Click on it and the image will be rotated and cropped as seen at the top/right. If you prefer to have the image rotated but not cropped you may either:
      1. Hold down the Option key as you click on the Straighten command.
      or
      2. After clicking on the Straighten command, choose Edit > Undo Crop.
In either case the result will be similar to Fig. 1 above.
The Straighten command, which also appears in CS6, produces a similar image rotation and trims a small amount of picture area as seen in Fig. 2.
    The Crop Tool’s Level symbol:
This latest innovation, introduced in CS6, uses a command found in the Options bar of the Crop tool. The equivalent of the Ruler tool is built into the carpenter’s level symbol to the left of the word Straighten in the Options bar. Click on the level and draw the reference line. The image will rotate and the largest rectangular dimensions will be framed by the Crop tool plus, in a shaded area, the part of the image that will be eliminated. This allows you to adjust the image area if desired before cropping the image. The result, before clicking on the Commit key on the right side of the Options bar, appears as seen in Fig. 3.
    * When Image Rotation or Straighten is used to tilt the image, each of which also shows blank areas created by the rotation, consider using the Content Aware Fill command,
An oldie but goodie: Crop & Straighten
The image below shows the result when File > Automate > Crop & Straighten Photos was applied to a three-image gang scan. Note that:
      1. Each print has clearly defined sides.
      2. Each print was separated from the others by at least a half-inch.
This command creates a separate file for each cropped image and leaves the original file intact.

  • When making adjustments with lens correction, the crop isnt contrained to the image

When I first installed CC I was able to rotate, or adjust the image in lens correction and it would automatically crop to the available image dimensions.
But I deselected the contrain to image section in crop mode, and since then it hasnt work, even though contrain to image in crop tool has since been re-selected, many times.
    Any idea whats wrong?

Thanks!  All of my shots for this current interior shoot are panoramic.  At a halt until I can resolve this.

  • Adjusting multiple images to be the same size?

    Hi,
I'm trying to create a photo collage in Photoshop that consist of multiple photos imported as Smart Objects into layers, that are all the same size. Ideally, I'd like to be able size/crop/scale each image as a group, or individually, on the fly. So lets say that I have 6 images as Smart Objects on layers, and that they are all of varying sizes, and I'd like to adjust each image to be the same precise size, 2" x 3". Maybe later I decide that they should all be 2.5" x 3."5, can I easily change all 6 images at once? I've tried going into Free Transform and changing the size of each individual image here, but I can't get the precise size that I want. Is there a way that I can open a dialog box, and specify the exact size? Can I then repeat this for all images/layers that I've selected?
I hope this makes sense, and that someone has a brilliant idea on how to do this?
    Thanks!
    Jeff

Image Processor doesn't get me what I'm after.
Photoshop has the option to create a contact sheet. So imagine that I want to create a contact sheet of images, but keep them on separate layers, and be able to change the size of the images as I feel, to fit my collage.

  • The latest Firefox version won't expand to make text and images more visible on my 32" screen, although I have tried to adjust the advanced Windows appearance settings in the same way that has worked in previous versions of Firefox.

Normally I have had to go to Control Panel; Appearances and Themes; Display; Settings; Advanced; Custom; and then I adjust the Customize Setting to 155% (149 dpi). I have hit on this setting through trial and error; larger and icons like the cursor get big and fuzzy. Smaller than 155% and text and images are tiny on the 32" wide screen. This time that procedure doesn't seem to work. The text and images remain too small regardless of setting, although the cursor icon gets big. I can manually zoom the pages, but that is clumsy and has to be redone. Does anyone know of an easy setting fix? I am not too smart about this stuff--mostly trial and error, but I do want to be able to enjoy my wide screen. Thanks!
