Adjusting the speed of live font

I have my text typed in and the effect I chose in live font but when i adjust the speed slider it just extends the length of the clip not the speed of the effect. The effect is very slow right now, any idea on how I speed it up?

it just extends the length of the clip not the speed of the effect.
Make sure that the purple effect track is selected (click it once) before changing the speed in the Inspector.

  • Is there a way to adjust the speed of podcast playback in iOS 5?

In earlier versions of its, I could play podcasts at normal speed, half speeder double speed. As I listen to many podcasts, I enjoyed the ability to listen in the faster mode to save time. Now, after upgrading my iPad to iOS 5, it sounds like all audio podcasts are playing in only a slowed down mode with no control to adjust the speed that was found in earlier versions.  I mean, I even have this control in my first generation iPod touch!
Am I missing something or was something left out of iOS 5?

From every thread that I have read about this - and there have been plenty of them - I have not seen a definitive answer on this. The feature seems to be missing from the iPad as bizarre as that may seem. I know that I cannot find it.

  • Adjusting the speed of "basic motion"

Hi, I'm new to Motion so sorry for the simple question!
I have some video footage with a Basic Motion behaviour attached to it. I try adjusting the speed slider but it doesn't move along the path any faster or slower. It just stays at the same speed, which is just far too slow for what I'm wanting to do.
So my question is, how can I make objects move at a faster speed along a path?
    Thanks.

If I'm understanding your issue properly, (I assume you're talking about a Motion Path behavior) all you should have to do is adjust the length of the Motion Path behavior in the timeline. Shorten it if you want to speed it up, lengthen it if you want to slow it down.

  • How do I adjust the speed of an audio clip only in Preimer Pro CC?

    I don't think you can.

  • Can I adjust the speed of my video clips?

I would like to use slow motion and fast motion in the movie I'm making with iMovie '08, but I cannot figure out how. I am positive I was able to adjust the speed of clips in iMovie '06, but I just can't find where/how to do it in iMovie '08. Have I lost my mind or has this option been eliminated in iMovie '08?
And as a bonus question, if it has been eliminated, WHY?

I was able to adjust the speed of clips in iMovie '06, but I just can't find where/how to do it in iMovie '08. Have I lost my mind or has this option been eliminated in iMovie '08?
You can within iMovie HD. You can't from within '08. (You can pre-edit a clip for fast or slow motion externally.)
And as a bonus question, if it has been eliminated, WHY?
It is not so much a question of why it might have been deliberately eliminated but a question of how to add it to iMovie '08. As has been said hundreds, if not thousands, of times already, this is an entirely new application editing in an completely new manner. Motion changes require re-rendering of the file to use it in a project. iMovie '08 does not do any rendering until the project (i.e., which is merely a set of instructions) is actually completed. In case you haven't noticed, none of the third-party special effect "plug-ins" are compatible with iMovie '08 either. Your best bet is to either use iMovie HD (v6.0.4 available free online to iLife '08 users). It is either that or learn how to create such effects externally with other applications like the JES Deinterlacer (free) or QT Pro ($30).

  • How do I adjust the size of program fonts to accommodate low vision users?

Is it possible to adjust the size of program text to accommodate low vision users, like an enlarge text button or CTRL + zoom text function like in my browser?
I know I am not the first person to approach this issue.  Since PSE 5 the text sizes have been getting smaller each version and even harder to read, and now that screens are much larger, it makes the menu text even smaller. I predict that by v. 20, users will have to just memorize where to put their cursor to click on a menu item.
I have already adjusted my system text sizes to 175% but it does no good for PSE, if I use the zoom entire screen, I can only view 1/4 of the workspace at a time. There really should be an easy way to personalize your workspace. I have to reduce my screen resolution to 800x600 and change back to 1920x1080 to view the item in it's intended location each time I edit or create images and cannot work on the document that I am creating or editing a graphic at the same time.  What a huge inconvenience.
I have resorted to keeping my binoculars next to my computer for just this reason.  Picture it... binoculars to select anything on a menu.  In a way I feel like a prisoner.  Who are the quality control people, anyone that suffers with low vision? The last major problem I had to live with, PSE 10's gray on black! Find the scroll button when your eyes are tired! LOL.
There are major reasons why I stick to PSE too, so changing programs is not a viable option for me.

I am assuming that you are on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit.
Not sure if there is another way, but the way that works for me
    a. right click the computer taskbar, and click on Cascade Windows
    b. in the Premiere Elements Expert workspace, go the the bottom right edge of the workspace view, place the mouse cursor at that point until its tip has a diagonal icon, and then drag upward right to left diagonally to give some view of the desktop where I have the file for the drag and drop into Premiere Elements....then drag and drop the supported file into the Timeline or Project Assets or a drag and drop location.
Please let us know if that worked for you.
    Thank you.

  • Can you adjust the speed of a clip in iMovie '08?

I know you could adjust make things go in slow-mo, etc. in the older version of iMovie and it looks like iMovie '09 lets you do so. But I can't figure out how to do it in iMovie '08? Any hints?

This feature is not built into iMovie 08. However, you can take a clip and use a third party app like JES Deinterlacer to change the speed. Then reimport the new clip into iMovie.

  • How to adjust the speed of a single video demo clip

This seems like a very basic function of a video that I can't seem to figure out in Captivate 8:
For an individual video demo inside of a project, how does one go about turning up the speed of that clip?
To be clear, I am not referring to simply viewing the end product and speeding that up.

Well, you could record a Video Demo using Captivate. Then publish that out as an MP4. Then you could edit the MP4 using Premiere Pro or Premiere Elements. Then you could render it back out and use it as a video in Captivate.
    Perhaps others have other approaches.
You might also want to take a look at TechSmith Camtasia. I believe it has an editing capability to speed up a clip. Or just a portion of a clip if you choose to split it up.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Underperforming overcloking , OS is auto adjusting the speed?;(

I have MSI X79A0GD45 + I7 3930K 32GB Ram. I followed on of the video tuts on youtube to set the proper settings to overclock my pc to 43x.  When I start Win7, it says 4300Mhz both in CPU-Z and MSI Control panel. However whenever I do anything cpu intensive like rendering, the cpus go down to say 1200 Mhz which I do not understand why that is happening.
I am attaching some screenshots that show the settings and the cpu situation.
Can someone pinpoint why I am having this issue based on what I provided? Is this an OS related issue?
I am not allowed to link images so please look at the gallery below

That is normal,  power save options are kicking in. when in a full load situation it will ramp up to the 43 multi you have set.
If you want to disable this feature then just set the CPU multiplier from auto to 43 and disable turbo.  Then you will be a 4.3ghz at all times.
For me I prefer to have the cpu downclock when idle.
    Hi
Thanks for the insight. I would not mind if it clocks down when its idle however mine does totally the opposite, it is max when its idle and it clocks down when I really need the computational powers.
So based on your suggestion, I am having an issue here. It is not letting me choose from auto to 43x. Either the interface is buggy or I cannot do this with this bios. I can set it in the Click bios under WIn7 but not in the actual bios. In the bios cpu freq shows 100x43, however it is set to auto and I cannot change it ;(
What is blocking a manual setting there?
    thanks

  • How can I adjust the clip speed in the editing window of Premiere Elements 11?

In former versions of Premiere Elements I could change the function while pushing the corner of a clip in the editing window: it was not cutting only, but I could also use it to adjust the speed of a clip (clicked the clock icon, after that the speed of a clip was adjusted perfectly).
But in Premiere Elements 11 this funktion seems to have gone: Now the timeline in the editing window seems to have the cutting function only!
Yes, I still can use the function "prolong time" (or whatever it is called in English, I use the German version), but in this I just can guess what percentage would fit and it's a very hard "try & error" part to get it right. In the former version the speed was adjusted "automatically" to fit the duration the clip needs – that was way more comfortable.
So, is this function really gone? I couldn't emagine why! Or how is this done now?
Couldn't find any post or video, explaning how to do that now.
No: The new "time zone" feature is not the same: it's not adjusting the needed speed rate automatically.
And by the way: There is a bug in that fuction: When I once added a new time zone, I can't remove it – clicking "set back" (or reset) doesn't do anything, the time zone stays where it is and is not deleted at all! I'm using a Windows 7 Ultimate system (64 bit) ...
I really would appreceate if someone could tell me how to adjust the clip speed perfectly to the needed duration of a clip!
    Thanks in advance!

    SG
An interesting point that you point out
"However, the drag-to-size method of adjusting Time Stretch has indeed been removed from version 11."
I am assuming that you are referring to an earlier version of Premiere Elements,  having a Time Stretch icon (clock icon) above the Timeline to select, and then perhaps, with the mouse cursor, dragging on the end of the video clip to increase its duration. The keyboard shortcut to select the "clock icon" in thar instance is X. If you look at Premiere Elements 11 Edit Menu/Keyboard Customization/Windows/Timeline Window/, you will mysteriously find "Time Stretch Tool" command with a keyboard shortcut X. And, if you look at Premiere Elements 11 Edit Menu/Keyboard Customization/Applications/Time Stretch, you will find "Time Stretch" with a keyboard shortcut Ctrl+R. Bottom line: I have not gotten the keyboard shortcut X to work in Premiere Elements 11 in this regard, but the Ctrl+R does to bring up the Time Stretch dialog to do the job.
In accord with this business of what is and what isn't...the good old Razor Tool. That disappeared from sight a long time ago. Yet users were able to use that in later versions using the keyboard shortcut C. Now for me that "C" does not work to change the mouse cursor to a razor for clip splitting at the Timeline level in Premiere Elements 11 in spite of the fact that Edit Menu/Keyboard Customization/Windows/Timeline Window continues to show Razor Tool command with keyboard shortcut C.
On the good news side of things, if one trims a clip in the Preview Window, one is still able to drag that trimmed clip to the Timeline (Expert view) and drag it out on either of its edges with the mouse cursor to recover the whole clip. And, the mouse cursor is still going to be that red ] with a double edged black horizontal arrow going through it.

  • Is it possible to adjust the proccessor speed?

From core duo temp , I find that my macbook is usually running at 1.5ghz. I am wondering if anybody knows if it is possible to manually adjust the speed maybe down to 1.33 , to cool the macbook down?
    Thanks for any responses.

As far as I've seen there is no supported way of throttling down your processors, and surely no way to "overclock" (speed up) your processor(s).
I have seen some sites listing ways it is actually possible to overclock some Macs, but I'm not sure if it is a possibility with the Intel macs.
If there is a way to throttle the speed of the Core Duo then it's gonna be through some third party software, google is your friend. :P

  • How do I change the speed of the Final Cut Pro X "Ticker" Title option?

I am moving from iMovie to Final Cut Pro X.  I used to use the "ticker" title option all the time in iMovie, but when I utilize it in Final Cut Pro X, it scrawls really slow and only shows the first line of text before the video ends.  How do I adjust the speed of this option?

This Motion template effect isn't very useful at the moment.
Sadly, the only way of changing the speed is to modify the effect in Motion.
The speed is designed to get the word 'Information' at the default size and default typeface across the screen over the duration of the clip. If you add more text, or change its size, the text will not move off the edge of the screen by the end of the duration of the generator.

  • Change font in a live font

So I am using the Burn Barrel live font in Motion but I do not like the plain font that is used. I want to use another font on my system. How do I make it so that the font I choose is the one burning instead of the default one that Motion makes me use?

You cannot. LiveFonts are pre-built animations.
