Hi, I'm making some document using the modern resume template. When it goes to the 2nd page, there will be a white/blank space on top . is there anyway to adjust it?

No! Margins are set. You could you the blank template, and copy the body text of the other resume across.

Open the document,
Tap the Tools icon (upper right).
Tap Document Set up.
Drag the margins to the position you wish (the actual margin width sould display as you are doing this).

Blank white spaces on pages

Hi,
For some reason, on my website it is showing some random blank white spaces? They appear to be in the same places on each individual page so I was wondering if it could possibly be anything to do with the master page? In preview mode, both on Adobe Muse and on the browser, it appears to be fine but as soon as I've put it up on to the website, the white spaces are evident and I need to get it fixed ASAP.

Blank white space at very top of the screen

I have a screen where I have some grid with background image and without margin, but in designer I can see that at very top if screen I have also blank white. Does anyone know how to remove it ?

Possible to reduce the amount of white space in thumbnail view?

Hi, after following these directions to generate large thumbnail views, there is still a lot of white space surrounding the thumbnails - I'm wondering if this could be significantly diminished, to allow more images, closer together.

1. Open a folder containing images
2. Hit Command-F, then select the folder instead of the idiotic default This Mac in Find toolbar
3. From the View toolbar item select Icon
4. For the criterion select Kind Images All
5. At the bottom right corner of the window there is a size slider, use it to make them any size you want, they seem to max out around 450 pixels, which is a pretty fair size

While Apple appears to making the transition to 512x512 thumbs, there are only a few things that currently have icons of that size. Most are 128x128, so even though it is possible to do a hack to make Finder display larger thumbs, it is actually pretty pointless as most icons just get bigger and jaggier.
What happens with the Saved Search is that Finder does not use the "regular" icons, but draws its own from the file, and thus you get thumbs up to what will, one day, be the new standard of 512. AFAIK the only way to access these is thru the Saved Search, and, as you discovered, there is no adjustment for grid spacing in the Saved Search window.

I have a 3" x 4" blank white space on top of any opened page

I have what appears to be a blank dialog box on top of any webpage, blocking the print. Scrolling over the area carefully, I cannot locate a "close" button either in the upper or lower right. It always appears in the same location - lower right, 3/4" above the taskbar.

I cannot access link across the top 1 inch of the webpage and when pdf's download, the 1 inch across the top is white

web pages do not allow me to access login information or links to important parts of the website. When I download a pdf from a site, the same top portion (about 1 inch or so) is white.

Recently both the Yahoo! Toolbar extension and the Babylon extension have been reported to cause an issue like that. Disable or uninstall those add-ons.

Adjust the amount of "free space" left on iphone using Autofill Feature

I know that there used to be a way to tell itunes how much space to leave on an ipod/iphone, but I don't see that option any more. I've looked for the info in the help sections and follow the prompts, but it's not under the device menu and then music as it says that it should be. Does anyone know where this option has gone or if it only applies to ipods and not iphones?

According to iTunes help, you must have the device connected, have manually manage music selected and then select the music folder under your device (iPod or iPhone) in the device pane. From there, you are given the options. According to the help topic, they are in the bottom of the music pane. It says click on the settings button.
Since I don't have manually manage music and I don't want to have to sync my music library again, I cannot test it for you, but if you go to iTunes help, search on autofill, and then select the topic Using Autofill with iPod, iPhone and iPad.
See if that helps.

Flash not working, have reinstalled adobe flash latest version but still just get a blank white space where vid should be, what do I do

This has just suddenly happened, I don't know what to do to get it back working again.

I also have this issue, I have tried disabling the new protection feature and it has had no effect, flash video's and applications are not working.

However videos from youtube, facebook basically all flash video's are not working, Some flash applications like browser games are not working as well.

Printing PDF from IE with Adobe Reader - extra white space at top of page

I searched the forums far and wide but did not find this question or information to answer it. If it's out there, I'd be much obliged if you'd point me in the right direction.
A user of the web app for which I do tech support just called to say that starting today, whenever he opened a PDF from our app (in IE), the PDF looks fine on screen but when he prints the PDF, every page has extra blank/white space inserted at the top, which cuts off the bottom inch or two of each page.
No other users have called with this complaint, and if changes to our app or an automatic background Adobe Reader or IE update caused this problem, I would have heard from many users. I have a sneaking suspicion I have heard about this from other users, but since troubleshooting their IE or Adobe isn't exactly my job, I don't know if I did any more than advise them to talk to their tech support people.
I can't recreate his problem (read: it works fine for me), but I'd like to help him. Can anyone think of a reason why this might be happening?

What I know: He's using Adobe Reader X. I do not know if it's the most recent version. The problem only exists with PDFs from our web app; he's not having trouble with other sites or with other PDFs.
I do not have a copy of the PDF; I can't give you the copy I downloaded when I logged into his account because there is proprietary confidential information on it, but everything worked fine for me and he's the only user with this complaint, so I believe it's related to his PC or printer, not to our app or to Adobe per se.
I sent him email asking for more information, but I do not know what printer he's using. I don't even know what version of Windows he's running.
Based on some info from Adobe, I suggested he make sure he's using the most recent version (10.1.2), try 'print as image" to see if that's any more successful, and make sure his printer drivers are up to date.
Given the nature of tech support, if he solves the problem or finds a workaround he's happy with, I may never hear from him again to know. I just wanted to know if this was a known issue and what recommended resolutions for it might be. Having not found anything on the web at large, I figured the Adobe forums would be a good place to ask.

Blank, white screen: "movie not loaded".

Forgive the use of emoticons, but I am really annoyed
about this new update.
Is everyone else right clicking previously-working Flash
streams/web content only to find "Movie not loaded" appearing?
Or is it just me?
What am I doing wrong - today I went to update Flash as it
kept nagging at me to do so. Biggest mistake of my life.
It seemed to install fine; I got the screen with the red F
icon and the green and white bar moving, then it loaded and I got
to the page where I was meant to see a confirmation message. But
nothing, just a blank white space.
I've tried to reinstall, I've tried SubInACL method with the
cmd script, I've tried to change ActiveX options as Adobe advised,
I've right clicked and changed user permissions and I have been
through the Adobe troubleshooting article.
Is there another method? I'm tearing my hair out - this
morning everything worked fine, and now all my internet
entertainment is not working!

Is it possible to insert white space that will track like other characters?

I'm working with Indesign CS3, and have a problem with white space, inserted as a special character - in this case, a sixth space, used for the space between initials of a cited author: A. B. White, or whatever. Between the point after A and the B, I've inserted sixth-spaces in each instance. But when the automatic tracking sets the text, those white spaces don't seem to be adjusted in the same way as the rest. So when a line is unusually tight, the space in question looks too large, and vice versa.
Is it possible - either in CS3 or, as a matter of interest, in CS4 or 5 - to insert white space that will track automatically as lines are adjusted?

Well, here's a classic:
1) Set some type in French. Use a thin space or a 1/6 space before punctuation. (That's what you are supposed to do in French - there's always a space before many kinds of punctuation.)
2) Hand off the file to someone else.
3) "Someone else" tracks the paragraph to -40 (without understanding that the paragraph is now barely legible).
If it's a fixed thin space, there is still a space in front of the punctuation. Due to the tracking abuse, it's now roughly the same size as a "normal" space-bar space. If it's not a fixed-width space, it has now disappeared. Tracking of -40 is ugly, but no space in front of punctuation in French is out-and-out wrong.

Several page formats are now almost blank, white, missing several formatting details such as boxes - what happend when I upgraded to Firefox 4?

After upgrading, my Yahoo page, Netflix, and several other pages that I use frequently have "lost" their formatting. Instead of showing boxes where I update information, it is blank. Instead of showing graphics and colors, it is white and blank. Where logos and graphics were formerly, is just blank, white space. This happened after I installed the 4.0 upgrade.

Thanks one again. I know you helped me the last to. I do have the Deja Vu font set in my folder. I downloaded and the last time. So I don't know if there is supposed to be more or not, but those were installed with Windows-XP after my reformat.
This is really driving me nuts. as I've done several re-formats on my computer and several friends computers and even upgraded hardware so I am not necessarily a software or programming expert, I am somewhat advanced when it comes to computers in general and can usually diagnose the problem but these font's are the problem and they never were before.
I did see in another forum that if you had a Dell Computer and did the Microsoft update for the onboard video card driver that it could be the culprit, but I have that disabled being I have a much better graphics card so the updates from Microsoft for the onboard video weren't installed.
It' a Dell Dimension 3000 with an Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller so I don't believe it is the culprit being it is disabled. The actual video card that I am using is a PCI Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT with 1 GB Memory. And I didn't have any problem before.
I appreciate the help. But still can't get things to work. Live Help Chat doesn't open for another two hours so maybe they can do "Remote Access" or something and can check setting and help me. But if you come up with other suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.
