Adjustment Brush - Full list under Effect not appearing.

Hi, 'am a new user of LR3.2 running on iMac and on Macbook Pro. On my iMac I was able to see the full list of Effects for Adjustment Brush but for the last couple of days I only see top half of the choices i.e., from Exporsure to Color and the bottom half choices i.e., from Burn to Teeth Whitening are not visible. However, LR3.2 on my Macbook Pro is running fine and shows all the choices. Would appreciate if anyone has any suggestion / solution to my above problem.

The second half of "Effects" you see in the dropdown are custom created Local Adjustment Presets, which do not seem to be present on both of your machines.
Go to Preferences (Presets tab), and click on "Show Lightroom Presets Folder ...". This will lead you to the lightroom presets folder in finder. Within the LR presets folder, you'll see a folder called "Local Adjustment Presets", in which the custom built presets can be found. Copy those of your iMac to your Macbook Pro.
You could also try clicking on "Restore Local Adjustment Presets" first, but this will not restore Local Adjustment Presets you might have created yourself, just the ones shipped with LR3.2.

New Value addition in Restricted List under Rules not getting reflected

Hi,
I have created a custom rule for a custom profile. In the rule i have configured a metadata named as Reviewer. Under restricted values of reviewer i have put in 2 values.
It is getting reflected properly in the profile check in form.
But now when i add a new value, it is not getting reflected. Is restart required to get that field populated with new value ?. I have already published the schema base and static files.
Please suggest.

In your metadata field definition, your field is defined as having an option list. Does the value you just added to the restricted list also exist in the overall list of values for the field?
For example, your list has values "a", "b", and "c". In your profile restricted list, you have "a" and "b". Now have you added "d" to the restricted list, which does not appear in the defined list for the metadata field?

Items in project report(query) are listed under the "not assigned" (column)

Items in project reports (query) are listed under the "not assigned" (column name) Why it is so ?
Start query : project reports & ask for period April 2008 (Period from/to). .
You will see items listed under Not assigned WBS Element (column name)
If you choose for a period of April until June 2008 then you see more items under u201Cnot assignedu201D .
Items should be under Assigned (column name) & not under the Not assigned (column name )
Any suggestions highly appreciable.

How are you displaying the ITEM field in the BEx query designer? Is it displayed with "Key and Text"? If so and if the text is not loaded for this master, this may happen.

Adjustment brush bugged? Image areas not brushed over change nevertheless

Problem:
I used the adjustment brush to brighten up an area in an image (+0.2 exposure). Doing so, a nearby but not connected area and not touched by the brush brightened up as well, going from almost blown out to blown out as shown by the red warning overlay.
System:
Pentium i5 machine, Windows 7 home premium 64 bit, 8 GB RAM
Lightroom 3.3 64 bit
Here are some illustrations:
before applying the brush (note the blue are near the upper edge not yet blown out)
I am applying the brush here (note area marked in red, not touching the blue almost blown out part near the top edge):
And this is what happens to the blue area when applying the brush:
The funny thing is, when I hover the cursor over the brush pin (as in the second picture above), the blue area to the top left is NOT marked blown out (as can be seen in the second picture).
Something strange is going on here. Either the red 'blown out' overlay is not functioning correctly in this situation, or the adjustment brush is bugged. It should obviously not have any effect on areas that have not been brushed over.
Any thoughts?

I think the problem is that they cannot reproduce the issue, hence no fix yet.

Effects not appearing in Dreamweaver Spry menu

Hi Folks,
I've installed the Spry updater in Dreamweaver CS3 then used
it to update the Spry assets. I selected all assets, including
effects. All were updated (some added for the first time) except
for effects. It does not appear in the Spry menu at all. Does
anybody know why effects might not be available on the Spry menu in
Dreamweaver even after being selected for update?

Ah ha! That's it. (I can see why they belong there, of
course, but I sure didn't think to look there.
In case any other newbies are in the same boat, you not only
have to select Windows/Behaviors, which will bring up the Behavior
panel, you then need to select an element (like a div) to which you
want to apply the effect, click on the plus sign in the behaviors
panel, then select Effects from the list.

The Full Screen icon does not appear in Firefox 16.0.2 on Mac OS 10.6.8, and command+shift+F does not close the full screen view.

I accidentally entered full screen view and was unable to exit. The Firefox Help article at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-make-firefox-and-websites-go-full-screen?esab=a&s=full+screen+mac&r=0&as=s says I should see a Full Screen View icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Firefox window. That icon not there. I cannot find it. It does not appear in either the full screen or non-full screen views.
Further, the Help article's advice to exit full screen view by using the keyboard sequence command+shift+F does not work. I had to unplug my iMac and reboot. Firefox then opened in non-full screen view.
Ideally, hitting the Escape key would cause Firefox to exit full screen view.

I forgot one detail. This happened while I was having trouble seeing the mouse cursor (I use Apple's Magic Mouse). It had disappeared briefly. I had to drag the cursor out of the Firefox Window for it to reappear. I accidentally entered full screen view while the cursor was not visible.

Using Address Book, distribution list contact does not appear

Using 10.7.4, added a name to an address book distribution list but it does not appear in the email "to" address. Had added to people previously and it worked fine but not with the last entry. Verified that the contact's name, address, etc. all correct and does display in the distribution list but not in the "to" field of an email. Very strange!

The key is that the Contact List is now being kept in the Cloud & you cannot edit the Distribution List in your Mac's Address Book.
The fix is:
Quit your Address Book
Go to  Menu --> Sys Preferences --> iCloud
Uncheck the CONTACTS icon
Close Sys Pref
Open Address Book - Edit your Distribution Lists (No longer Greyed out)
Quit Address Book
Go to  Menu --> Sys Preferences --> iCloud
Check the CONTACTS icon
You should be good to go!

Please define a billing unit and assign the Sales/Service Org to Billing Unit and in turn assign the billing unit to Company code.
And define item categories for CRM Billing and define item category determination as well.

Adjustment brush in Raw 8.3 not working???

Upgraded Bridge and camera raw from the adobe creative cloud desktop. Also upgraded all CS6 apps. Upgrade went smoothly. Having problem in Camera Raw 8.3. The problem is with the adjustment brush. It is not working at all. I can add a new adjustment, when I make any adjustment there is no adjustment. Also I cannot see the mask, or cannot toggle mask on and off. Absolutely no adjustment with adjustment brush. Running windows 8.
Then I went and paid for the 9.99 subscription. Downloaded both ps cc, bridge cc and lightroom 5. Download fine, all apps working fine with both versions installed. Having same issue with the adjustment brush when using bridge cc to ACR camera raw 8.3.
First time user of lightroom, seems like the adjustment brush inside lightroom will make the adjustment. I can’t see where to toggle on and off the mask. I see the “mask:” at top of adjustment box but nothing next to it or unable to click anything. I will continue to understand how the mask works in lightroom. When I click automask again I dont see a mask??
Any suggestions. I may redownload the windows version of the camera raw 8.3 update and try again.

Buddy List window does not appear when starting iChat in Leopard

In Tiger when I started the iChat application, the Buddy List window always appeared immediately. In Leopard, it does not appear and I must choose Window from the menu bar and then select AIM Buddy List. Does anyone know how to correct this so the Buddy List window appears automatically when I start iChat in Leopard?

Full qualified host name not appearing in url within WSDL generated from PI

We are on PI711 ( AIX OS ) and are stuck with an issue of the fully qualifed hostname not appearing within WSDL file generated in PI71 for a webservice it exposes using the Integration builder
We changed the host name in exchange profile ( all locations ) from hostname to hostname.companyname.intra and also in the ABAP stack as recommended in all OSS notes.
We use the Integration Directory --> Sender Agreement --> Display WSDL option to generate the WSDL.
Its to be noted that all locations ( including url for WSDL ) have the fully qualified hostname except the url within the WSDL.
Dioes anyone come across this issue/ know which parameters to be updated on the PI server to make the url within the WSDL for the PI webservice to have the fully qualified host name ?

As Mentioned by Baskar donu2019t use proposed URL .. while creating WSDL in Id.. but instead provide URL in following format and use it in that place and create WSDL.. details about URL format..
the URL format is fix. and it is simple.
http://host:HTTPPort/XISOAPAdapter/MessagingServlet?channel=party:sendersystem:CC_sender
in above URL provide your sender service component name instead of sender system.
and provide SOAP sender communication channel name in place of CC_sender
provide your PI system host and http name in place of host and https and use this..

Second effect not appearing?

As you can see the track bar is currently in the middle of a small clip... A clip I painstakingly constructed in after effects that Is almost Identical to the one before it... in which a blue I is supposed to fade in and out along with the music... I realize this is a simple effect I can recreate within Premiere, but I'd rather not have to do that, since I already have 3 other letters waiting for use. Is this some kind of glitch in The connection between Premiere and after effects? Is there anything that can be done? Maybe a better way to import the effects than right clicking within the project menu and scrolling down to import? Please help

The term "Product ID" can be confusing because a Product ID can refer to the app itself or to a "product" within the app such as a folio or subscription. In this case, when you publish a folio, the Product ID refers to a product within the app, so you need to distinguish it from other products (folios). That's a long way of telling you to use a different Product ID for each new issue you publish. If you specify the same Product ID for different folios, the viewer will treat them as renditions, and display only one of them. We recommend using the "com.publisher.app.issue" format, such as "com.sportspub.climbingtoday.201406" for the June issue.
If you publish the second folio as Free and Public using a different Product ID, it should appear right away in your app. (For retail issues, it can take longer for Apple to process the in-app purchase.)

Added effects not appearing

I'm having a problem with Illustrator. I'm running CS6 on my macbook pro retina (OS X 10.8.2)
At any random point in a piece of work, new effects I add stop showing up. This can be anything from warping a shape, to re-ordering items in the appearance panel. When this happens I can toggle visibility, or even delete elements, but they still remain visible. The piece of work stays live on the art board, but stuck, despite any changes I have made showing up in the appearance menu. If I save the work, shut down Illustrator and then open it again the changes I have made appear, but my artwork freezes again after only a couple of changes. This is making working impossible.
Here you can see I've actually switched off visibility for the three elements in this graphic, and added a warp to the blue rectangle, but nothing has changed on the work area:

Try Selecting the text object before making the changes. As of now there is no selection shown in the Appearance panel so anything you do will not affect anything.
