Adjustment in Subcontracting

D/ F,
If vendor informs that lesser/ larger qty of component material was used- then adjustment ha to be done. Where & when? Pls advice.
Thank you.

Hi Siddhant,
Go to MIGO tcode, select A11Subsequent Adjustment and R01Purchase Order and execute the transaction.
All the components appear below. Enter the lesser/larger component quantity in the "Qty in UnE" field. If its undercompsumption , select the check mark in the column" Undersonsumption/Short Receipt". If its over compsumption, then donot check the box.
Notice that in the Where tab in the item details section, the movement type changes . For overconsumption, the movement type is 543 , for underconsumption its 544. and save the Migo t code.
Note that if its over consumption, then you would have to provide components to the vendor using transfer posting using Movement type 541. ( Use MB1B using purchase order or MIGO )
Hope this helps..

  • Subsequent adjustment for subcontracting

please explain about Subsequent adjustment for subcontracting

    Hi,
Please find the following use of subsequent adjustment:-
After the subcontractor (as vendor) had delivered the ordered material (end product), you posted the goods receipt to the subcontract order. The system determined the necessary components for each purchase order item and created for each component a goods issue item with the quantity that was determined in the purchase order (see Entering Goods Receipt for the Subcontract Order).
If the vendor informs you after these postings that a greater or smaller quantity of the subcontracting components was actually consumed than planned in the purchase order, you must post a subsequent adjustment to correct the component consumption.

  • Customization part to confifure subsequent adjustment in subcontracting

    Hi,
I want to know what configuration settings required to perform if we want use use subsequent adjustment process   .
    regards,
    zafar

    Dear friend,
See if your getting back that scrap material from vendor side at the time you has to define new material that material should be maintained in components in purchase order itself in a negative quantity( the scrap qty your receiving from vendor)
when you receive the material from vendor the raw material will be consumed by 543 movement, and scrap material will be received by 545 movement type,if you want to adjust the subsequent adjustment at the time you has to mb04 there you can adjust the receiving stock or consuming stock
if vendor has done scrap for those material you don t want receive from him from there only you want scrap that material at the time use 551 O movement type (subcontract stock for scrap)

  • Subsequent adjustment in Subcontracting

    Hi,
Can you explain the process of sub sequecnt adjustment process in subcontracting,  is there any customization setting required for this.
    regards,
      zafar

    Hi
Subsequent adjustment is usually done if the vendor has consumed under/excess input materials ( other than the BOM quantities)
In such cases you need to adjust the input material lying at the vendor by making a subsequent adjustment entry through MB04 or MIGO -Subsequent adjustment
In you have  consumed physically more material  the movement type  543 will be trigerred(you are consuming more material than the stipulated one in BOM)
In you have  consumed less  material  physically the movement type  544 will be trigerred
Note that the entries which you pass has a financial implication i.e any subsequent adjustment entry will subsequently cause a change in the value of the output material

Use Subsequent Adjustment function in MIGO. 121 Movement will hit here.
Subsequent adjustment for subcontracting .This movement type cannot be entered manually.  With a subsequent adjustment for a subcontract order it is possible to correct the consumption of components. In this case, the material produced by the supplier is credited with the excess consumption / under-consumption.  For this reason, if there is a subsequent adjustment, an item is generated for the produced material using movement movement type 121.
Movement type 121 does not have a reversal movement type. Possible special stock indicators: O, E, Q

If the purchase order or order has been assigned to an account, the goods receipt is not posted to the warehouse, but to consumption.
In the case of non-valuated materials, the goods receipt is posted to the warehouse, although the purchase order has not been assigned to an account.
    Possible special stock indicators:
o     K Goods receipt for purchase order to consignment stock
o     O Goods receipt for purchase order to stock of material provided to vendor

    121 Subsequent adjustment for subcontracting
This movement type cannot be entered manually.
122 Return delivery to supplier or to production
Using movement type 122, you can distinguish real return deliveries for a purchase order or order from cancellations (102).

  • Tell me about the movement type of 121,141,142?

pls explain the difference among these three movement type,
    thanks in advance.

    121 Subsequent adjustment for subcontracting
This movement type cannot be entered manually.
With a subsequent adjustment for a subcontract order it is possible to correct the consumption of components.
Suppose you have consumed during GR for a subcontracting orders say 3 kg of raw material instead of 5 kg which is known later can be adjusted through Subsequent adjustment entry. Enter the difference 2 kg in the subsequent adjustment and save.
141 Goods receipt for subsequent adjustment for active ingredient
This movement type cannot be entered manually. It is generated automatically upon subsequent adjustment for a proportion/product unit
This is also a same kind of adjustment as above where you have activated batch specific UOM.

  • Document Range

Where are document ranges defined in SAP? Specifically I am looking for two:
    1) Document Range for Goods Receipt from PO
    2) Document Range for Good Receipt from Process Order.
    Thank you

    Hi,
You can define them in Transacion SNRO or in IMG under
Materials Management -> Inventory Management or Physical Inventory -> Number Assignment
In the standard system, the transaction/event types and number range intervals are preset for Inventory Management as follows:
    Material documents for goods receipts
Number range interval from 5000000000 to 5999999999
This group contains the following transaction/event types:
    - WE    Goods receipts for purchase orders
    - WF    Goods receipts for production orders
    - WO    Subsequent adjustment of subcontract orders
    - WW    Subsequent adjustment of active ingredient materials
    Hope this would help.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

  • Diffrent Between Goods Receipt Transaction Code MB01 and MIGO?

    Dear All
Could anyone please tell me different between goods receipt by MB01 and MIGO.
Should I choose MIGO or MB01.
    Thank and Best Regards,
    Thang

    Hi,
It is better to use MIGO.
MIGO replaces all the conventional transactions for posting goods movements, whose transaction codes start with MB*.
You can use the transaction (MIGO) to post the following goods movements:
    - Goods receipts from external procurement
    - Goods receipts for orders
    - 'Other' goods receipts
    - Return deliveries and subsequent deliveries
    - Goods issues
    - Transfer postings and stock transfers
    - Subsequent adjustment for subcontracting
    The advantages this transaction brings
This transaction provides many advantages over the old transaction for posting goods movements, for example:
    - You can maintain and display all the data on one screen. You can find all the information you need for an item without having to switch from screen to screen. You can just hide any detailed information you do not require.
    - When you enter goods movements, the system does not issue any messages; before you post the goods movements, you can display all the messages at once.
    - Instead of having to enter the same data every time you enter a new goods movement (for example, plant, storage location, or movement type), you enter the data you use most often only once via Settings -> Default values. The system then proposes this data every time you enter a goods movement.
    - If you do not know the exact name of the material, plant, or storage location, you just enter part of the number or a description. The system then searches for and proposes the complete term for you.
    How the screen is structured
The screen is split into three areas:
    - Overview tree
You can show and hide this area via the Overview on/off pushbutton. The overview screen displays the last ten documents for orders, reservations, material documents or held data. You thereby always have an overview of the last activities you carried out.
    - Header data
You can show and hide this area via the Open/close header data pushbutton.
    - Detail data
You can show this area by clicking on the item for which you want to display detail data in the Line column of the item overview. You can hide the detail data again by choosing Close detail data.
Each time you call up the transaction, the screen is displayed as it was configured the last time you used it.

  • CKMDUVMAT posting date restriction

    Hi gurús.
We us succesfullly CKMDUVMAT but we want to find the way to post adjustments done in any date of the period in all consumptions ot the same period.
We want to know if is possible to post this stocks adjustment to subcontracting consumptions and so on, and not only in order consumption.
Thanks in advanced for your help

    Hi
When you do the PIV (physical inv verification) difference to the Cost center - That acts as a trigger for CKMDUVMAT...
So, if you run CKMDUVMAT for the complete period together - It would post the Total PIV Difference of that period to the prod orders whereevr that material has been used...
You can use BADI CKMLDUVN_CHOOSE_RECV in order to change the logic to determine the Receivers for the posting of PIV Difference
    Refer Note 996310 - Documentation BAdI CKMLDUVN_CHOOSE_RECV...
