Adjustment Levels Bug

Hi, i'm using cs3 and i've got a weird error with adjusting the levels of an image.
All i have done is create a black background layer, added some noise, then i want to edit the levels. Unfortunately the image changes as per preview but whatever i change the settings to, it reverts back to the orginal set up when i press ok.
I have literally no idea what is going on and why, more to the point. Really frustrating.

You either have to physically delete (or rename) the preference files or, if using the Alt, Ctrl, and Shift method, be sure that you get a confirmation dialog.
This resets all settings in Photoshop to factory defaults.
A complete uninstall/re-install will not affect the preferences and a corrupt file there may be causing the problem.

How to use "Adjustment Level " in automatic adjustments rule

Now we are setting up BPC for legal consolidation.
we use BPC 7.0MS SP4 Version.
I want to use some result of automatic adjustment rules for source data, so I tried to use adjustment level in automatic adjustments rules.
I was setting up A rule's (to use source data) adjustment level is 0 and B rule's level is 1,
the result of SPRUNCONSO were "Error" CSD-150 and CSD-160.
Please let me know how to use adjustment level option.

Check the method between METHOD Table and your ownership Cube. Check your Rules between the RULES Table and The ELIM Table. Check The INTCo.

Serializable transaction isolation level bugs

If you are genuinely suffering from 440317 (and not poor design which is the most common cause of ORA-8177, and hence why it's taken so long for this bug to get fixed - originally raised in 7.2.2 !!!) then you will have to wait until 10g R2 sees the light of day.

Restoring Adjustment Levels Auto Color Corr Options

I entered the following key sequence:
Adjustments Panel | Levels | Alt-Click Auto | Find Dark & Light Colors | Snap Neutral Midtones | Midtones
After keying in this sequence and making adjustments to my photo, I inadvertently hit one too many OKs as I was exiting and PS changed my defaults. They now read: H: 55, S:0, B: 0, R: 128, G: 128 and B: 128.
How can I reset these values to their default settings? Or could someone tell me what they should be?

I'm looking to confirm that these are the correct values; otherwise, whenever I use an Adjustment Levels correction, my pictures will be thrown off by my erroneous default values. I think these are now correct, but I would like to confirm.

Adjustment levels

Many times when I make a new adjustment level, CS6 defaults to "Levels" even though I had selected "Threshold" or Color Balance".
I am trying to do an accurate color adjustment using the "Threshold" darkest and lightest sample point, new layer-50% grey "Difference" mode, then back to "Threshold"
to find grey point. Having marked these points, I go to "Curves" and select my points with the appropriate eye dropper tool.

Low level bug: Notification Center Banner

I found a low level bug in iOS 6 recently. Here are screenshots:
You can do with following steps:
1. Keep your iPhone at Lock Screen
2. Slide up camera button and in camera mode
3. Tap the left down corner "Photo Library" while tapping HOME button, bug appeared.

Adjustment Level Error

Hi all
I have got consolidation rules using the adjustment rules table but when I try to order this rules with Adjustment level field, the stored procedure produces the error.
If I only put "1" in one rule the package works fine when I make a consolidation with a group with a perimeter with all entities, but when I select groups with a perimeter with less entities the consolidation package doesn't works. The only way is quit the "1" from the automatic adjustment rule

Adjust Levels/Brightness/Contrast on 200pp PDF

I have a PDF document of scanned documents and all the scans are under-exposed. I need to adjust levels/contrast/brightness on all the pages. For a start I want to apply the same set of changes to every page of the PDF. I'll then place the PDF pages onto InDesign Pages and Print as a booklet to get pagination for sadle stiching using the included Applescript.
Is there and automated way I can process all the pages in PS and apply a standard set of changes to all the pages and then save the document including the page number so as I can reassemble as a single document in Acrobat to then import to InDesign using the aforementioned Applescript?

You could creat an action to do the required changes and use http://www.scriptsrus.talktalk.net/Pdfprocessor.htm to run the action on all the pages.

Adjustment layer bug - or is it just me?

Somebody please try this and tell me if it's a bug or just me ...
Create an adjustment layer over some video -- any video.
Add 2 effects to the Adj Layer: Fast Blur and Levels.
Set blurriness to 50. Set RGB White Input Level to 50.
Now you should see Blur and Levels applied. All good so far.
Now add some keyframes so the blurriness animates.
How's it going?
On my system, as soon as I try to animate 1 or more of the effects, they stop working entirely.
This appears to be a bug. Or am I missing something?
My workaround has been to use TWO separate Adj Layers on top of each other, but that is cumbersome and annoying.
If anyone else experiences this, please file a bug report so we can get this resolved!

I tried the approach you've outlined. I'm able to see the original effects on my clip as it plays, but the bluriness value doesn't animate. I also tried using Gaussian Blur. Same result. I tried changing the order of effects. Still didn't animate.
I haven't used adjustment layers too much, yet. I did use them on a project I finished last week, however. I never ran into this on that project since, in my case, I wanted to keep my effects on separate adjustment layers anyway.
But good to know there's another bug, or just the way it was built. Maybe it's a feature request.

Adjustment Layer bugs

Hello,
I have a few problems using adjustment layers:
1. If footage beneath adjustment layer is scaled down, the effect of adjustment layer is also scaled down (see example)
(Sequence is PAL Widescreen, Footage - XDCAM EX 1080i scaled to 55%)
And it doesn't matter if I use 'sequence sized' or 'footage sized' Adjustment Layer.
The effect is always the same.
But if I stack two adjustment layers - effect of second one affects the whole frame.
Problem no. 2
I use "Levels" and "Gaussian or Fast Blur" on adjustment layer.
But if "Levels" are turned on, it cancels the effect of Blur.

OK Jim, I'll try to express myself more clearly (although Averdahl and TomZid2012 understood me)
Sequence is PAL widescreen.
Footage on [Video 1] is XDCAM EX 1080i. It is scaled to 55% to fit PAL.
If I add AL to [Video 2] with any effect (CC, Blur, Levels, it realy doesn't matter), then the footage is affected only
in smaller region (see my attachment - it shows the effect of Fast Color Corrector, cranked up).
But if I scale AL just a bit - then everything works fine and the whole frame is affected by AL.
The same thing happens even with stills (if they are scale down).
Averdahl says that it's already filled as bug. And you should be able to reproduce it from my previous (or this) post.
But if it helps - I can send you small project with footage.
Regarding blur - I know how "Repeat edge pixels" functions. And I know how to troubleshoot such things.
I'm not a novice. I've tried all possible combinations of blurs+levels.
But as I said - it happens randomly, so at the moment I can't reproduce this situation.

Adjusting Levels not working, please help. Photoshop CS3

Anyone have an answer for me? Tech support NOT helpful unless I dish out even more money! Using Photoshop CS3. I am trying to adjust the levels on a very simple bitonal scan from PDF. When I adjust them by going to, Image, adjustments, levels, the preview of it works and it shows what I want, but when I hit OK, it dissapears. If I go to Layers, New Adjustment Layer, Levels, it shows up fine until I save it.. I am trying to save it as a PDF file, and I am saving it with Adobe 6 (1.5) because of compatibility issues (so I've read), it should save layers. But its not saving. Or maybe it's not opening in my Adobe Acrobat? is there an update I need or something? Is there a step I am missing? is anyone else having this problem? Even so, the Level adjust should work regularly while in PS CS3.

make sure you're viewing the preview at 100% zoom. any other zoom level isn't going to give you a true representation of the adjustment you're making...

Preliminary dialogs in adjustment levels

I use Photioshop CS on a Mac G4 (PPC) with OS 10.4.11.
This is a very elementary question, I am afraid, but I nevertheless hope that someone will point me in the right direction.
If I choose Image/Adjustments/Levels, what I see straight away is the Levels dialog with its histogram and controls. But if I choose Layers/New adjustment layer/Levels, I first see a dialog as shown in my first example below.
If I then click on 'Color' it expands to my second example.below.
I have experimented with choosing different colours in the second drop-down menu, and cannot see any effects on what I do subsequently in the main Levels dialog or on the image I am editing. (A similar situation obtains if I select a Hue and Saturation adjustment layer.)
I have searched Photoshop Help and a large book on Photoshop that I have in my possession, but I cannot discover any explanations of these preliminary dialogs and what they are for. I should be most grateful for any advice.

Sounds like you are in CS5 not CS.
Look for the palette called adjustment, which should automatically pop up when creating adjsutment layers. If not window >> adjustment.

Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer Bug in Photoshop CS6

I noticed that most of the time I cannot copy a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer in Photoshop CS6. (In about a third of all cases it works, in all others I have to create a new Hue/Saturation adjustment layer).
Hitting Command + J will cause my Mac to make an error sound.
Option + delete also doesn't work half the time.
Also: I cannot do a "Stamp visible" above a Hue/Saturation adjustment layer. Hitting Command + Option + Shift + E will bring another error sound.
I have to creat a new layer, and then create a stamp visible. But half the time this doesn't work, either. Hitting Command + Shift + N will give me another error sound.
I have to create a different adjustment layer, then an empty layer, and only then I can create a "stamp visible".
Only Hue/Saturation adjustment layers are affected by this - but it's a true hold-up.

What Mac? What version of OSX? That aside, your issue sounds too exotic to be a genuine bug. Sounds more like some specific combination of settings is preventing this. could be anything from blending tricks to color profiles...

Problem with TOC levels (Bug?)

Im using Layout -> Table of contents to generate the TOC for my magazine. My pages basically have two paragraph styles that will be used in the TOC window. They are Section and Tittle, and are defined as paragraph style and well syncronized with the other articles of the magazine, im using a book to organize the files.
In the Window of TOC a choose for the first style Section pragraph style and add to the include paragraph style, next it's added tittle paragraph style to the include paragraph style.
Im getting
Tittle1.......................3
Section1
Tittle2......................4
Section2
INSTEAD OF
Section1
Tittle1.......................3
Section2
Tittle2......................4
Section style box is in level 1 and Tittle style box is in level 2 in TOC window. It make senses to me, when im defining the paragraph styles for TOC, but is different from what i expected.
It's a Bug on the CS4 for Windows ? Anyone have a problem similiar ?

It was the relative position of the section to the tittle frame. Thank you very much!
The Section was in the right corner of the page and the tittle was centered in the midle of the page.
I have made that because the layout of my magazine has the sections on the upper right.
I will have to create a hidden layer in the upper left of the page to solve the problem.
Do you have another solution, or a more elegant solution to solve this situation in particular ?
