Hello Friends,
In a document related to PI 7.1 ,I have seen these words...
<b>All your adapters and adapter modules have to be adjusted when you upgrade the system</b>
So while doing upgradation from SAP XI 3.0 to PI7.1
What all adjustments we have to do in Adapters and Adapter modules.

Have you tried to enable IPV6 and then check if you can start Teredo?
Locate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\servic es\TCPIP6\Parameters
Check whether the "DisabledComponents" registry key exists. If so, please double click the "DisabledComponents"
registry key and modify the value to 0.

File Adapter and "permanent" module exceptions

Hi folks,
We have written a custom module for the file adapter which works fine .. In case of issues it will throw the standard "ModuleException".
The file adapter is configured to move erroneous files to a specific directory .. The SAP help specifically mentions that this happens when a "permanent" exception occured ... I quote the guide: "A permanent error occurs either during the conversion of the file content, or in a module in the module processor"
So in case of an exception in the module processor this should work ... unfortunately it doesn't ...
Our module throws an exception but the file is not moved and the adapter keeps on retrying to process the faulty file ...
Anyone faced the same problem ? Anyone any suggestion on how it should work ?

Hi,
When an error occurs, a module must raise a module exception.
ModuleException can contain an exception that describes the cause of the error. To provide hints about resolving the error, the error cause is written to the trace.
To process the message again, you do not need to set a special exception.
In the case of receiver adapters, the messaging service for the adapter framework processes the message again. The conditions for this are set in the communication channel monitor.
In the case of sender adapters, you must decide in the adapter implementation whether processing the message again makes sense.
You can revert back for further queries.

Mail adapter and MessageTransformBean module configuration issue

I am trying to use module configuration in Receiver Mail adapter. Below is my configuration. (We are using SAP PI 7.11)
Parameter/General tab:
Message Protocol : XIPAYLOAD
Use Mail package option is selected.
Content Encoding = none
Module tab:
Processing Sequnce:
AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean : XSLT
sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean : mail
Module Configuration:
XSLT Transform.Class com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi.adapter.XSLTConversion
XSLT Conversion.XSLTFileName /tmp/GL_POST_RESPONSE_EMAIL.xsl
XSL works outside of PI . However, when i test with a message, I am seeing following errors in Runtime workbench:
Please let me know what could be wrong in the above configuration

Hi All,
Issue has been resolved. There was some minor issue in the XSL. The XSL Stylus studio was not reporting this as an error. However PI's XSL engine was reporting that error. This error message was not showing up in runtime workbench. However, when i looked at the default trace, there were few more errors. After fixing the XSL, I am able to received the email

CIDX Adapter and Custom Modules

Dear,
We were wondering whether the PI CIDX sender adapter supports the usage
of custom modules ?
We have created a small module which basicaly simply logs a message in
the audit log ... that module works fine with the file adapter ...
When we send a CIDX message from an external system towards PI via the
CIDX adapter then nothing happens ... Traces do not seem to contain any
reference at all towards the module ... It just seems that the module is never called ...
Looking at the adapters/module documentation it somewhere mentions briefly that adapters can choose on whether to implement the standard module chain processor or basicaly do something else ...
Does anyone know whether the CIDX adapter supports the usage of custom modules ?

Adapter modules cannot be used in CIDX or RNIF sender adapters.

JMS Adapter and Conversion Agent

Hi,
Has anyone worked on JMS adapter and Conversion module? JMS adapter is working fine without the conversion agent module.
processing sequence is as follows
1 SAP XI JMS Adapter/ConvertJMSMessageToBinary Local Enterprise Bean convert_JMS2Bin
2 SAP XI JMS Adapter/ConvertBinaryToXMBMessage Locl Enterprise Bean convert_Bin2XI

Also I have given the Parameter Name and value.
Let me know if i am missing something.

I have done the configuration in sender JMS channel. I even created file sender and it is not working.
when i went and checked the initialization events in http://xxxx:50000/CMViewer, I can see some errors under service Initialization.

Here i share my test for such issue, which you can try:
Press Win + R, type regedit in Run.
Loate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP6\Parameters.
Find DisableComponents value, ( if you can not find it, please attempt to create one vaule ), then modify the Dword value to 0.
Reboot your computer.

There is no specific criteria on which the adapter modules have to be developed.The only criteria is the Business requirement.SAP ships the Ready to use adapter modules to enchance the functinalities of Available Adapters.
Ex: There is a Adapter module called ZIP bean that can ZIP the files that have been received on the target side .Simlilary there are about 9 SAP provided modules which can meet certain business requirement.
If u like to have ur own u can develop one and go ahead.So many Giudes are available in SDN for that.to get an idea.

I have written a module for my sender file adapter, and choose FCC to parase my complex structure...here my doubt is whether adapter module will call first or FCC which is there in Identifier tab in file adapter?

ya i got it..Call sap adapter module will store the message in send queue.
just want to know which module is building the xi header whether it is same call sap adapter module or is there any specific module which will convert native message to xi message.
Is call sap adapter module is the responsible for building the xi message header with the help of cpa lookup? if its so again confuse for me.....
In File adapter we have 3 tabs one is parameter identifier and module...As u said first parameter tab will run as per FCC/ File message protocol then this parsed/content of text file will be input to the module tab .in this module tab we have custom modules and standard module these modules are executed in the same sequence as mentioned.
what is the module name which converts native message to xi message?

Complex XML to Plain in JMS adapter "Content conversion module"

I have read the document on "How To use the content conversion module with XI3.0 J2EE JMS Adapter", and it says only SimpleXML can be converted in the receiver channel.
I had hoped for a solution at least as good as in the File/ftp adapter, where complex XML can be transformed to files.
Are there plans to include complex XML conversion in the JMS adapter?
I can not use the file adapter as I need to change the file name and destination, and that can not be done by adding own module to its single module.
Any idea how I can achieve what I want?
To only way I can find, is to create a file using the file/ftp adapter, and then pick it up again and treat all the lines as the same structure (one row = one xml field). Then output this new xml message to file, using the JMS adapter and add any modules with name and destination determination.
Appreciate any help!

Have you tried to use an XSLT mapping within the IE?
I have, at one customer site, created a XSLT message mapping which converts the XML to a fixed length ASCII file format. I than added the XSLT message mapping as a second mapping step on the interface mapping.
In this case I was able to publish a fairly complex fixed length file format to MQ Series via the JMS adapter.

FTP Adapter and Seeburger

Hi,
We are using the FTP adapter and the Seeburger BIC adapter (is configured as a module in the FTP communication channel)
When we receive EDIFACT files the first step that is performed is the conversion from EDIFACT to XML messages (done by Seeburger module). This process performs also a XML syntax check. When this syntax check fails the complete process stops. The FTP adapter wants to read the file (with the error) again and again.
When we have 10 files in the directory and the first one is in error, the adapter does'n process the other 9 anymore!!
Quality of service is: Exactly Once.

Module Key - exit
Parameter Name - JNDIName
Paramter Valu - deployedAdapters/SeeXIFTP/shareable/SeeXIFTP
JNDIName, should I be replacing this with some other name. I'm trying to get Seeburger FTP to work and in the messaging monitor, I see the message as passed to Module Processor but it does go anywhere from there.
Can one you throw some light on this...what to expect from this definition.

We want to separte the records (1:n) returned by JDBC sender adapter XML. ie. Split/Parse the records in XML and then send to BPM (one by one) instead of whole message . For that purpose, we want to write an adapter module.

In my scenario,we are sending plain request to web service using receiver sender adapter and PI will receive response as excel attachment. What are standard module required to achieve this and sequence? or checking Keep attachment box will help us to achieve this?

This issue might be due to the invalid .pem certificate file.
Make sure to include the beginning and end tags on each certificate.
The result should look like this:

First we verify 101 files for Universal Adapters, next search into informatica SDE_Universal_Adapter folder to find this files but the half of files don´t found. Diff between Seeburger Adapter and File Adapter

Hi All,
My company needs to interact with some banks and the banks are particular that they want SFTP, which is not supported by File Adapter, so we have decided to go with Seeburger adapter.
Now what are the differences between File adapter and seeburger adapter?
I believe that Seeburger adapter does not support File Content Conversion, Archiving etc.
Could you all pls put some light on the diff between file adapter and seeburger adapter when it comes to dealing with files?

You are aware with working of File Adapter.
The most direct way of using the Seeburger adaptors is to configure the BIC as a module. There is a software component from seeburger called bicmapper which will allow you to
1. Define or import the inbound message metadefinition in various formats ( edifact, xml,...)
2. Using a mapping create an xml variant as the output metadefinition or edifact in the other direction.
3. Create a one to one mapping between input en output.
4. Export the metadata in xsd or sda format for import in XI
5. Generate an SDA which can be deployed in XI and used as a module.
