Adjustments to file not holding

Making ajustments to a file and than opeing it in PS 5 under open copy with ajustments. The file is coming in without the ajustments, I've tried (open as a copy) also with no luck?

Me too, tho I'm opening as smart object.
Must just be some setting somewhere
that I never had to use in LR3?

OK I see that open in PS
asks for camera raw 7, which
doesn't seem to be released anywhere?
Open anyway bypasses my LR settings.
Render using lightroom gives me my edits.
Still does not address smart object appearing
without any edits tho.
OK now I see that if I have used that dialogue box
with the 3 choices of how to open the file in CS, and
the last time was "open a copy with adjustments",
it carries over to opening the smart object that way.
I'm betting this is not how it is supposed to behave.

LR4 Not Holding Adjustments on Export

I'm not sure if this has been reported yet? I have noticed that adjustments to images in LR4 are not being retained on Export.
Specifically, an image appearing to be correctly exposed after adjustments and while still in Lightroom 4, appears brighter and lacking in shadow adjustments on Export and uploading to facebook. My guess is that shadow adjustments have been lost on Export?
Does anyone know if this is a known issue?

I just tried it again with another image and it seemed to Export all of the adjustments. Previously, I needed to add about 25 points more blacks to get the same result on in Facebook as I had in Lightroom 4. This time, it appears to be as it was prior to export. I'm wondering if there are certain adjustments (or certain amounts of adjustments) that are not "holding"?

Moved my files to external hard drive, now files not found. Help?

My Itunes folder having outgrown my memory, I moved all the files to my external hard drive, following the directions in Itunes. I was able to play the songs as long as the hard drive was connected. However, I opened Itunes mistakenly without the E: Drive connected, and it opened blank, with no files in place. I closed, hooked up the hard drive, and opened Itunes again, holding down the shift key and choosing the library on E: (the xmp file). The files now show up, but when I try to play them, I get a message indicating that the file isn't found, do I want to find it? I can, but I don't want to go through 5000 files and add each one individually. If I try adding or importing the folder again, the file is simply in itunes twice. I can always import everything again, but I don't want to lose all my ratings, last-played, etc. It took a lot of time to listen to and rate all those songs. Any help would certainly be appreciated. I am having the same problem. I moved my itunes library to an external drive to free up the space on my notebook and now I "get files not found do you want to search" If I search I can find the song in Windows but have to find each song individually, I have 2600 songs I burned from my CD collection, it would take way too long. I have tried copying the file to the same drive, I have reintalled itunes multiple times. I have checked Apple and my computer is "authorized". Is there any way out of this? Otherwise I will be limited to just having the music I already have on my ipod and being unable to add any more, and if that ever bocomes compromised I would be unable to restore it. None of my music is purchased from itunes, it is all burned from my CD's.

Empty Log files not deleted by Cleaner

we have a NoSql database installed on 3 nodes with a replication factor of 3 (see exact topology below).
We run a test which consisted in the following operations repeated in a loop : store a LOB, read it , delete it.

Why empty files are not delete by cleaner? Why empty log files are protected by replicas if all the replicas seam to be aligned with the master ?

Solved setting a non documented parameter " je.rep.minRetainedVLSNs"

"Always open in column view" does not hold

"Always open in column view" does not hold the preference when applied to my hard drive.
I select Macintosh HD and choose the column view. I go to View > Open View Options and check "Always open in column view". Then if I click on a different folder and go back to Macintosh HD, column view is retained... that is until I restart the computer.
After a restart, when I click on Macintosh HD I am back to icon view. Again I go to View > Open View Options, and somehow the preference has changed to "Always open in icon view". If I switch back to column view, the preference is retained again until I restart, then it's back to icon view.
Other folder and external drives open in column view after a restart, it is just Macintosh HD that always reverts to icon view.
Sent a bug report to Apple, but any ideas how to fix this?

How to use HOST call DOS continuous running problem but NOT hold Forms scre

In my Forms, I have a Button a start a MP3 recorder program to record voice, I use HOST command to init the program successfully. However, since the MP3 recorder program in continuous running, the HOST command hold my Forms screen until the MP3 program stop.
I have try to use Open_form to open another form to start this MP3 program. It still hold the whole Forms system.
Is there any solution to start a continuous running DOS program but NOT hold the Forms screen?

You didn't provide your host-command, so i simply guess its something like
HOST('"c:\Program Files\mp3.exe" someoptions');instead of calling the program directly, you could use a commadn batch along with the start-command, for this should launch the program asynchronously:

To me it seems related to your Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) converter. Clue inhere is you only miss the Raw files and have no problems in seeing other formats like jpeg and tiff.
The screenshot you delivered is from the wrong library, however, this same library (the one on system level) also is the location where you should be able to view the correct version of your ACR plugin. The path: library (same as per your screenshot)/Application support/ Adobe/ Plug ins/ CS6/ File Formats. inhere should be only one version of Camera Raw (called: "Camera Raw.plugin") and this should show version 8.3 (141).
I'm not sure about your bridge version number, Bridge 5 comes with PSCS6 but my most recent version of Bridge is 5.0.2.4.
Anyway, if you have only one ACR (8.3) installed in the above mentioned path then you might want to try to delete the Bridge plist file and Bridge cache file manually.
For this you have to Quit Bridge and find the user library (by default hidden, use menu Go in Finder and press option key to reveal).
Inhere find the plist file (user(your user name) / library / Preferences and inhere find and manually delete the file called: "com.adobe.bridge5.plist"
The in same user library find Bridge Cache. User/Library/Caches/Adobe/Bridge CS6. Inhere are 2 files, the adobe Bridge plug in cache and the folder called Cache. delete (or move outside libray) both items.
The restart Bridge (If needed also again hold option key to reset preferences) and this will create fresh files for the previous deleted items, leaving you with an almost out of the box factory set version of Bridge.

Legitimate newly purchased Premiere Elements-10 32-bit install files not available

Friends:
I purchased an $1100 Nikon camera and the deal included OEM PS Premiere Elements 10.
Legit purchase with a CD and legit Serial #.
Can't install because what is Adobe's fault, not the camera vendor's and certainly not mine.
Adobe's own published notice:
"The 64-bit version of Adobe Premiere Elements 10 only installs on Windows 7 64 bit. If you have Windows XP 64 bit or Vista 64 bit, it's necessary to install the 32-bit version. Because the Adobe Download Assistant automatically downloads the 64-bit version in error, it's necessary to download the 32-bit version manually through alternate means."
The problem is that the same holds true for installing on XP Pro SP3 and Adobe makes no mention of it in the above admission.
Then, Adobe's own Solutions 1, 2 & 3 for manual download all fail, even after fussing for days over it.
Even Solution 3, the last ditch option, fails perhaps because Elements 11 is out and Adobe has killed the 10 download Ftp sites.
Files I am unable to download from Adobe (without entrapment by so called Free Dowload sites) are:

my own (and others') posts in Adobe forums. Plus, just read the Internet posts along these lines:
"It's impossible to download anything from Adobe. I have given up and I have given up on Adobe products."
Not that I want to, but I am forced into echoing the same sentiment.

The ...7z file is 1.37 Gb long. I have super high speed Fibre Optic Internet connection with Bell. I rarely have the ocassion to download files of this size. After downloading more than 1 Gb, the transfer hung - either at the Client end, or at the Server end. Bell is sending tech Thursday to mitigate some line noise they detected. Hopefully, the stars will fall into the right place before long.

Backup File not Capturing

I have been using a Maxtor backup file to hold all of the video files when I log and capture. My first Maxtor is finally now full of video. I do not want to lose this video so I bought another Maxtor. I select this Maxtor to capture the scratch disks. When I hit Log and Capture an error message comes up stating that it is an "Unknown File." Any help is appreciated.

Open up Disk Utility. It will be in either your Applications or Utilities folder on the system drive.
Select the new drive from the list on the left side,
then select ERASE
Format: Mac OS Extended
For media disks, I'd leave journalling OFF
give it a useful name
BEFORE you say OK, Double check you are erasing and reformatting the correct drive & make sure you have nothing on the disk you want to save as reformatting will erase the disk ... then go for it.

Why can most of my Original Files not be found ?

The "missing file" thing happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then say no when asked to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions. I can provide a step by step guide if you give me the two paths.
In some cases iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps and locate the lost track. It may then offer to attempt to automatically fix other broken links. Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes.

There are a couple possibilities. What have you done so far to try to resolve this?
If you haven't already done so, first reset your iPhone (hold the Home & Sleep/Wake buttons until the Apple logo appears). If that doesn't help, connect your iPhone to iTunes, and make a full backup, then hit the "restore" button to re-download the iOS file from Apple and restores your machine with it. After restoring your backup, if the problem still exists, then Try restoring as a new device to see if the problem persists. If so, then your next step would be to try a Genius Bar appointment to see if the battery is just bad. If you are still under warranty (or Apple Care) then it might be a free replacement, otherwise it might be as high as an out of warranty $269 replacement.

IMovie09 Not Holding Transitions

I am using iMovie09 and I notice that the particular movie I am working on does not hold its transitions. After I upload to YouTube, some (not all) transitions are gone and when I export to my desktop the transitions disappear. I closed out iMovie, opened it back up - transitions gone. Why is this happening and how can I repair it?
If it even matters, I also have iMovie HD6 on my system but I have not even tried to shift movies betweeen the two programs. I am working exclusively in iMovie09 until I learn iMovieHD6.
This problem is so frustrating. Last night I uploaded a movie to YouTube and when I played it back, I noticed some of the transitions were missing. When I looked back in iMovie they were missing there, too, so I am presently trying to put them back in but they keep disappearing.

The preference files for various versions of iMovie are as follows:
⇒ iMovie 3 and iMovie 4 - "com.apple.iMovie3.plist"
⇒ iMovie HD 6 - "com.apple.iMovie.plist" (I think iMovie HD [version 5] also used this file)
⇒ iMovie '08 - "com.apple.iMovie7.plist"
⇒ iMovie '09 - "com.apple.iMovie8.plist"
⇒ iMovie '11 - "com.apple.iMovieApp.plist"
As you will note, it's all very confusing! This is mainly due to version numbers not matching the release name, or no number being allocated. For example, the iMovie '09 file is labelled with iMovie8 because the version number is 8 (the last release being 8.0.6). However, for iMovie '11 it's simply iMovieApp (with the latest version being 9.0.4).
It's difficult to see the logic with the naming protocols, but bear in mind, no harm will come if you delete the wrong file as iMovie (whatever version) will rebuild the .plist file with the default settings when next opened. You can then change settings if desired in the iMovie menu item "iMovie>Preferences".

Spotlight shows files / notes / ... of other users

Hello,
my spotlight search returns (sporadically, not always) files, notes, etc. of other users. I have iMac 27-inch Late 2012 with OS X 10.9.3 (13D65).
When I find results of other users, I don't have access to them so klicken on the results doesn't cause an action.
This occours on every user, not only system root. All privileges are default. I've found some google-results of users having the same problem just after a fresh install.
Some ideas? Is this a known bug?

You have the root user enabled? I think that is generally frowned upon - it can cause all sorts of permissions errors. I'd expect Spotlight to obey whatever the local permissions dictate (if it is working as designed).
I would try resetting the user permissions for the home folders and then follow Linc's tip for rebuilding the index again.
Backup before you begin just in case…
Boot holding cmd+R. Recovery mode should startup (assuming you have a recovery partition).
Select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
Enter the word…
resetpassword
… & hit return.
The GUI app will open, select the main boot HD.
Select your user account in the popup menu.
Then click the 'Reset' button at the bottom right. It will "Reset Home Folder Permissions & ACL's"
Repeat for the other users.
Quit ResetPassword from the menu,
Quit Terminal
Reboot

WVC210 File Not Found

Hallo,
I am trying to understand wy the command http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:yyyy/img/main.cgi?next_file=main.htm does not work with my camera WVC210 (Firmware ver 1.1.0).
I use IE and the error is File not Found.
I have verified that all commands works well.
Is there anybody that can help me ?

It seems that the syntax is correct.I assume you used the WAN IP address of the network for “xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx “and the service port that the camera uses for “yyyy”. With this, make sure that ActiveX components are installed. You can’t view the camera remotely if the computer doesn’t ActiveX.
Other than this, I suggest contacting Cisco Tech support to further look into your concern. I believe this unit belongs to the business series devices that Cisco is now supporting. Try to go to this link for the other business series devices and the site where you can get hold of Cisco for support:

Trashcan will not hold trash

Trashcan is always emply. I can delete files but the trashcan will not hold trash.
