Hi All,
I have ORM 10.1.4.1 on Weblogic installed successfully (Oracle 10g database) however I am not able to login into webui and ORM Console using the credentials(admin/abcd1234) I provided while installation. I tried logging few times and restarted the server. so, when I am trying again I am getting message while logging in webui and ormconsole
Maximum number of attempts exceeded
So, does anyone know how to unlock the user account. if yes, then kindly help.
Regards,
Sunny

Hi All,
Got the solution. This is what I did to unlock the admin account:
systemidentity_update <ormapp-user> <admin-user> <attrfile>
For more information, refer to this link:

  • Domain admin accounts locks out constantly

    Hello.
My boss has a domain admin account that keeps locking out, and we can't figure out why. We can tell from the domain controller logs that krbtgt is the *offending* service, and it is coming from a sql server that we have. In looking over the server, we can't
find where any passwords might be stored that would be trying to pass this automatically. We've even manually removed any profile information for this account that we could find. If I reset the account, I can then log into the server with his account and everything
is fine, but after logging out the account locks again.
Does anybody have any ideas for how to fix this?
If it helps, the EventID is 4771 and the Status that gets returned is 0x12

I have something that can help you enabling netlogon logging on all DCs.
    1. Make a list of DCs and save it in a text file called dcs.txt (you can do that by running netdom query DC).
    2. Download psexec.exe from sysinternals
    3. Then run the following to enable logging:
    for /f %i in (dcs.txt) do psexec \\%i c:\windows\system32\nltest.exe /dbflag:0x2080ffff
    4. Take the log files all in your place:
    for /f %i in (dcs.txt) do copy /y \\%i\admin$\debug\netlogon.log .\%i.netlogon.log
    5. then search for wrong passwords:
    type *.netlogon.log |findstr /i 0xC000006A > badpasswords.txt
    6. Disable netlogon logging:
    for /f %i in (dcs.txt) do psexec \\%i c:\windows\system32\nltest.exe /dbflag:0x0

  • OER 10gr3- Admin Account Locked out

I have locked out the only admin account for OER 10gr3. I obviously can't login to the tool to unlock the account so I am a little stuck. I thought I could try and unlock the account via the DataBase but my attempts have failed. I located the account status which was 20 and changed it to 0 which from the documentation should be active but that didn't work. I guess I could blow away the DB but this seems a little extreme. If anyone has a proceedure to fix/recover from this situation please help.

    To unlock user Accounts:
    1. Stop OER
    2. update ENTSECUSERS set ACTIVESTATUS=0 where USERNAME='xxxxxxxx';
    3. Need to get the entsecuserid value from entsecusers table and column ID,
    4. update CMEEUSERS set ACTIVESTATUS=0 where ENTSECUSERID='id value';
    5. Restart OER

  • Admin Account Locked Out Indefnitely

I want to know steps to retrieve my administrator account(only one) of a domain containing single domain controller has been locked out by a group policy that has been set. The lockout duration has been set to 0(indefnitely, until manually unlocked by the
    administrator).

    Hi,
Based on my experiences, during the process of promoting a server to Domain Controller, we need to configure a
Directory Services Restore Mode (DSRM) Administrator Account Password, providing this password allows us to restore Active Directory.
If the scenario in your post occurs, we can use DSRM password to restore AD to a point where the admin’s account is not locked out.
Therefore, please make sure that administrators perform regular
backup so we can restore Active Directory after a sudden crash, and remember the DSRM password.

I didn't realize by doing this all of my files would be on the old admin account. Now I am completely locked out of the account, and need help getting my files off of it! Any ideas?

OK, please do a couple of administrative things once you have changed  your password. First is update your profile. You can easily do that by clicking Your Stuff in the upper right then click Profile and update as needed. This saves us a lot of time!

  • Accounts lock after managing users through control panel

I have an account lockout issue that is reproducible and exists across many devices.
These systems are Win 7 Professional 32-bit, not domain members, and fairly locked down via local Group Policy - I suspect the issue is in there, but I can't identify it. There are normally two administrator
accounts (this might be important - see below) and one or more unprivileged user accounts.
To reproduce the issue, I log in to one of the admin accounts, create or delete a standard user through Control Panel>User Accounts, and then log off. Immediately both admin accounts are locked out.
I can log in as the standard user I just created, but have to unlock the admin accounts by booting to DVD. The event log shows the admin account log off, followed immediately by 3 credential validation failures for the other admin account
    - that is, the account that was not logged in when the user management was performed. I can't imagine where these cred validation failures are coming from, but per Local Group Policy, 3 failures should indeed lock the account. Logs show
no reason at all (AFAIK) for the first admin account - the one actually doing the user management - to be locked.
If I add or remove users through compmgmt.msc, there are no issues of any kind.
As I said, I can reliably reproduce this issue on multiple machines. Any thoughts?

I've just come across this same issue on a Windows 2008 Server.  When entering the User Accounts control panel, a failed logon event is immediately triggered (from dllhost.exe, logon type 2, status code of "bad password") targeting the current user
account.  When clicking the "Manage another account" link, a similar failed logon event is triggered for every account that is listed on that screen.  If this screen is opened multiple times, it's possible to lock out every account on the system.
It's not clear to me why the User Accounts control panel would be attempting to authenticate as any of these accounts, but in the short term, we'll probably use a GPO to prevent access to this particular control panel.  Any administration of local accounts
should be done via MMC consoles anyway.
Not sure if Home Edition desktop operating systems have the same option, or if the same behavior occurs there.

  • FileVault 2 failure - more than one admin account

New rMBP 15" with 10.8.2, used Migration Assistant from a 10.6.8 boot.  Very happy with it, and have been using it for a few days.
Decided to enable filevault 2 to encrypt my boot drive.  I enabled it, rebooted, and then went back to the Security & Privacy system preferences to check the progress, which was stuck with an intdeterminate progress bar.  Waited 30 minutes, no change.   Hmmm.
Console.log showed continual error message, such as :"11/9/12 6:56:40.155 PM System Preferences[638]: *** -[DMManager conversionProgressForLogicalVolumeDisk:] returned an error; error: -69808 (-[SecurityFDEController _checkFDEEncryptionStatusTimer:])"
Turns out, I had two admin accounts on this computer, and I had only authorized one of them to unlock the filevault encryption.
I clicked the button to authorize the 2nd account, and after that the encryption process started working.
Not very user friendly...posting this in case it helps others...

Welcome to the discussions. If iWeb's menus are greyed out, the following trick has worked for some:
In the user account which does not let you start a new page, save, etc. — Quit iWeb. Start iPhoto. Select a couple of photos, click on the iWeb icon at lower right and choose Photo Page. iWeb will open up and invite you to choose a template for your new Photos page. Choose any template so that the page is created and then delete that newly created page.
...Now perhaps things are no longer greyed out in iWeb.

  • Have a Mini with "Default User" account.  Can an admin account be created instead of using that?

I purchased an Early 2009 Mini on eBay.  The seller reinstalled Leopard on it (that's what it came with) after erasing his stuff on it.  He put "Default User" as the user name, but no password.  He said for security that I should make an account with a password.
When I upgraded to Snow Leopard, I thought it would have an option to create a user name and password.  It didn't.  Can I make up another user account as the administration account; then use a third user account for documents, pics, etc. (not to disturb the admin account) and forget using the "Default User" account?
I really hate to take the time to erase and reinstall Leopard and Snow Leopard just to remove the "Default User" account.
    Thanks.
    silverado93

In order to create another account the account you are using needs to have admin privileges.  Does it?  If so you unlock the Accounts prefpane by clicking the lock in the lower left and entering the admin password (hence the reason the account you're using needs to be an administrator).  Then you can create other accounts and click the checkbox for an account that says "Allow user to administer this computer".
Not you can change the admin password for an account by using booting from your installer disk.
Now having said all that are you currently in a state where you have a single account that is not an admin account?

  • How to enable a disabled admin account?

I was testing the pwpolicy on a newly upgraded Yosemite. After rebooting, I found my local admin account was disabled.
I ran the pwpolicy on a non-server version of Yosemite and the only support article I could find is OS X Server (Yosemite): Global policies can lock out Admin accounts - Apple Support. I tried to follow the steps in the article to clear the account policies for local admin, but once I entered "/usr/bin/pwpolicy -n /Local/Default clearaccountpolicies", the system seemed hanging there and the local admin account was still disabled. Any ideas?
Actually once I used launchctl to load the com.apple.opendirectoryd.plist, the system started to show signs not working properly, such as some basic commands like ps, dscl, man, nano, or even ls stopping to bring up any results. However, "launchctl list" showed the daemon was launched with a number of 78.
I tried to create new admin user account by rm /var/db/.AppleSetupDone, but the new admin account was disabled possibly immediately after birth because of the global policy settings.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Linc!
    But now the issues become:
    1. How to load the launchDaemons or launchAgent in the single user mode?
I got the status code 78 when loading the opendirectoryd.plist. While in the system log, there was an opendirectoryd error: "Bug in libdispatch: 14B25 -2004 - 0x5". This is not related to pwpolicy at all, because all my Yosemite 10.10.1 machines show the same things with or without setting the pwpolicy. Any ideas?
    2. The SUM used to be very handy and powerful in the past for troubleshooting startup issues, but now, even "passwd" generates an error saying: "The daemon encountered an error processing request." It makes me feel like running a car with the idle gear on, but I just don't know where Apple has moved the drive gear. Is there a document somewhere for using the single use mode of Yosemite?

  • Can't open admin account !

Sorry- now I'm really crawling up the wall. I have not made any changes to my admin account other than changing the name of it. The password works fine to sign in, but when I go to make a change (like turning on the FireaVault) it will not let work and the lock will not unlock saying the password is not valid. What on earth am I doing wrong here? Has my computer been taken over or am I just a pitiful user?
    Thanks

Thank you. Same thing happened to the admin account as the other account. The password had been changed. I have not done anything and no one has physical access to the computer so I am very confused as to how both my admin and regular account passwords were changed in the same day/time frame. I was able to recover it with the master password and it's working now....but I am still in a state of confusion.

  • Import problems in new admin account

I have two accounts on my system, my main admin account ("Admin"), and a new user that I have just created ("Adam"). I am trying to duplicate my "Admin" setup in the "Adam" account and move my 24GB iTunes music folder and mailboxes across to it.
I moved across all the preferences from "Admin" to "Adam" and basically all my applications work fine, although I had to reinstall a few preference panes. The "Adam" account is configured with administrative access via the tick box in the accounts preferences.
If I archive my mailboxes under "Admin" and then copy to "Adam", the files show up as locked folders with the red sign on them and they cannot be imported. Likewise, if I drag the entire Mail folder out of preferences and across to "Adam" it is likewise locked up.
Similarly, I cannot move my iTunes music folder into "Adam" because iTunes reports that the librbary file is locked, hence it will not recognize the library from the "Admin" account.
How can I easily move my music and email into the "Adam" account? I thought that allowing admin rights under "Adam" would work, but obviously the "Adam" account does not have permission to access these files when they are simply copied across.

Glad you fixed it. In the future, here is a better way to move files from Account A to Account B without running into permissions headaches:
    1) Log in as A.
    2) Move the files to /Users/A/Public (don't move any Apple-created folders, like Documents, Pictures, etc. Just move their contents.)
    3) Log in as B.
    4) Navigate with Finder to /Users/A/Public.
    5) Drag the files to the Desktop. This will make new copies of them with correct permissions settings for B. File them away in the appropriate places in B's home folder.
    6) Log back in as A. Delete the files from /Users/A/Public.

  • Cannot unlock my Admin account, updaters fail, more...

After installing SL, I can no longer unlock my Admin account. When I click the lock to make changes, it says "Authenticating..." for a second, then stays locked. When trying to update applications (I've tried several), the "Install" button dims for a moment (like it's starting), then nothing happens. In System Prefs, when I click on Security, it says "Loading Security..." and nothing happens. I went to Keychain Access, can't unlock System keychain either. Ran Keychain First Aid, no problems reported. I re-installed SN, nothing changed. Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Logging in with the newly-created User account ("root"), everything appears to be fine. Padlock is unlocked and I can access my original User account and unlock that, etc. I can also see and change Security settings in my System Prefs. However, there is no HD icon on my screen, only my two external drives.
that's not a problem. you can change finder preferences->general to show internal hard drives on the desktop.
When I log out and come back in with my original User name, everything is still locked out just like before.
that's expected too. but you didn't follow all my instructions. log in as root again, go to system preferences->accounts and create a NEW admin user. then log out from root and log in as the new user you just created. do you have the same authentication problem when logged in as the new user?

  • Bricked Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro-1370 due to broken microsoft ecosystem / unrecoverable admin account

Hi. So now I am here. HELLO EVERYONE! All you friendly and curious troubleshooters. I am frustrated and lost. I will not give you the 14 step Microsoft issue.  But I guarantee this will be one of the more bizarre or interesting problems you have read in a bit.   so tl;dr - my yoga 3 is bricked because the user account switched the administrator to an unrecoverable & disused / non-used outlook.com email account b/c of the MS App store. Their tech has not helped, no recovery has worked at all. I just want to factory reset the hardware at this point, but the software "glitch" needs me to log in to my admin account to factory reset, which is something I can't do.   Way too long of info story:   a) on my lenovo tablet, I had my personal login to sign into my admin profile. I did not use a MS Outlook account at all. In Feb, I signed up w/ a "dummy" outlook.com account for the app store, but never DL anything, and didn't think to realize this account locked me into an ecosystem... I just thought it was a temp email to register, and didn't keep any details. The 1st time it removed my local user account profile from admin, and replaced it with the outlook.com account. I immediately switched it back, that time.   b) 2 weeks ago, I wanted to DL The Economist app. We hadn't used any apps, & again it made me sign in to Microsoft. I signed into my account and DL the app. I believe it signed in with a remembered password, as I don't remember it. It could be one of 15.    c) At this point, microsoft's account removed my personal local lenovo user account, and replaced it with the microsoft outlook.com sign in d) Now, when I try to log in to my tablet, it says "You can't sign into your PC right now. Go to account.live.com to fix the problem, or try the last password you used on this PC". No previous passwords work. This is probably because I tried to sign in a bunch of times under my personal local user account, before realizing it had switched the admin to the outlook.com account. e) I go to account.live.com, and it redirects to login.live.com. When I try to sign in with my outlook.com account, it says "You've tried to sign in too many times with an incorrect email address or password." f) At this point, a captcha comes up, and no matter how many times I solve it correctly, it won't let me sign in. I did get to a point where I see a different type of screen that says my account is locked. g) When I try any form of account recovery, and attempt to have an email or password sent to my secondary recovery email, those emails never arrive in my inbox. h) when I attempt to have a code sent to my phone, I never receive the code. i) the microsoft support number has a phone tree that leads me to a place that tells me to go online to get support. j) When I try to contact customer support, it leads me back to the login in page. So I made *another* MS account for support, and have spent 2 weeks getting copy pasta support about "try password reset", "try text code reset", "try account recovery". I never get the password reset to my recovery email, I never get the text, and the account recovery doesn't work because I never used the email, and don't have enough information like email subject lines, or folders, for them to know the account is mine.... even though it was a throwaway email to use for the ecosystem, and not to use for anything else. I am still 10 tech support messages in with their support team, and they still haven't realized the problem: I DO NOT CARE ABOUT RECOVERING MY OUTLOOK EMAIL, but I do if that's the only way to gain access to my hardware's admin account. I have tried everything, and it doesn't work. I do not care anymore. I just want to factory reset the **bleep** thing, but it needs my password for the admin account to do it. Ain't that the darndest thing? I mean.. think about it! Microsoft's broken ecosystem of account recovery means their software has intrinisically bricked my Yoga 3 and made it unusable. I can still use a sub-account, but it acts all wonky because it wants me to download apps using an outlook account and when I try to sign a new one in, it leads to broken links, etc. If Microsoft's ecosystem doesn't allow for account recovery in any way, how do I take control of my hardware again? I feel frustrated and alone. This was a HUGE purchase for us, and I never thought a software glitch or problem with the ecosystem would brick hardware in this manner. NB: I know I have to take some accountability for not remembering the password, or realizing the ecosystem being a bit rigid and fierce, especially when trying to find back end understanding or support in recovery.... I had no idea, and that's on me. I also know it's not "bricked" IE unusable, per se... but not being able to log in to the admin account, nor make changes, updates, or get into the app store... it's pretty brickish. Thanks for listening. Any help is appreciated.
