Admin console producing hs_pid errors

Just recently I've discovered that the admin-serv/config directory is producing lots of hs_pid errors
An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM.
Unexpected Signal : 11 occurred at PC=0xFEEBB384
Function=PR_Write+0x0
Library=/opt/directory/lib/libnspr4.so
Cannot obtain thread information
Dynamic libraries:

0xff070000 /opt/directory/lib/libsasl.so
0xfef00000 /opt/directory/bin/https/lib/libxerces-c.so
etc........
and the console no longer allows you to login.
Stopping the admin-serv and removing the error files and then starting admin-serv backup is a temporary fix but I cannot find any reason for why this has started to happen.
The time they occur and the logs in the directory give me nothing to go on.
The errors just continue looping until the partition fills up.
Is this a bug with the Software, has anyone else seen this?
Regards
James

It may not be a bug, I found a post says:

Starting from 1.5.0 jvm automatilly dumps crash info to file named "hs_pid*". But 1.4.2 doesn't have this feature. You can try to setup vprintf hook in VMInitArgs.

  • Edit of Foreign JMS module in admin console causes redeployment error

A JMS module (-jms.xml) for a foreign JMSServer specifies the url of the real JMS server. I am trying to use a deployment plan to make this url a deployment property.
Following the instructions in "Configuring and Managing Weblogic JMS" and "Deploying Applications to Weblogic Server", I have deployed the module with a fixed URL, and then attempt to edit the url in the admin console. The admin console correctly creates a deployment plan to hold modified value, but then can't redeploy the module due to errors during deployment.
I experience these errors with the module deployed stand-alone, or when bundled with my enterprise application. I also get the same error if I produce the deployment plan using the PlanGenerator.
The error seems to be a bug in the deployment plan machinery, since the xpath it produces for the variable-application does not match the xml schema for <weblogic-jms>. The plan.xml refers to "/weblogic-jms/foreign-server[name="IQN_OLTP_FOREIGN_JMS_Server"]/connectionurl" while the schema defines "/weblogic-jms/foreign-server/connection-url".
    Any advice would be welcome.
    We are running 9.2 SP3.

I also tried this, without success. Changing the deployment plan to use the element name "connection-url" leads to a different error during deployment:
    <Info> <J2EE Deployment SPI> <BEA-260121> <Initiating deploy operation for application, IQN_JMS_OLTP_FOREIGN [archive: ../../package/jms/IQN_JMS_OLTP_FOREIGN-jms.xml], to IQN_BATCH IQN_OLTP1 .>
plan xpath defines an element [connection-url] that is not valid!(There is also a subtle variation in the xpath used in the deployment plan: It isn't clear whether the deployer expects /weblogic-jms/foreign-server/[name="IQN_OLTP_FOREIGN_JMS_Server"]/connection-url or /weblogic-jms/foreign-server[name="IQN_OLTP_FOREIGN_JMS_Server"]/connectionurl. The former, although not really correct XPath syntax, seems to be required for other elements, but in this case, the PlanGenerator emits latter, which is correct XPath, but has the wrong element name.)

  • Admin Console Internal Server Error

Here's an unique issue I've observed in Weblogic 11g on Solaris 10.
Everytime I access the admin console after the admin server restart, I see the below error :
    "500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
The best thing to do is start at the Home page or try the browser back button"
Also this issue occurs only when I've opened the admin console once before the restart. I have enabled onDemand deployment of Internal application. Does this have anything to do with the error ?
    Thanks,
    Jess

    Hi Vijaya,
I found these logs while acessing the admin console :

I looked at our restart script and saw its deleting files under the adminserver tmp Dir before starting up the server. Its deletes only files while the Directories under tmp are still remaining. I think thats what is causing the issue. I was able to resolve it by deleting the tmp Dir completely and starting up the server.

  • WebLogic Admin Console Login Generates Error 503

I am running Oracle VM Manager 3.2.2.  I need to make modifications to the weblogic console as admin.
The page is taking the correct user id/passwd for admin.   However, I am getting this page.

The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it. Authorization will not help and the request SHOULD NOT be repeated. If the request method was not HEAD and the server wishes to make public why the request has not been fulfilled, it SHOULD describe the reason for the refusal in the entity. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
There have been no firewall or proxy changes.   All browser cached was cleared and restarted.    This just started and was working fine from day one.

When I get same error I changed locale en_US

    Hello hmcom,
Looking at your URL, I've noticed that both
    http://baltimorecarpets.com
    and
    http://www.baltimorecarpets.com
are registered to the InContext Editing service. InContext Editing
sees them as two separate sites and the users associated with them
    are not shared between sites.
The problem that you have might be caused by the fact that
the publishers have been invited for one of these sites, but when
they try to login they are using the other URL (with or without the
'www' part). You should keep a single site registered (the one that
has the publishers invited), and delete the other one (using the
Remove website button from the InContext Editing Portal). Also, you
    should instruct the publishers to

    Try the following:
Restart "Windows Management Instrumentation" service in your service tray where this admin console is installed.
Or restart the admin console, if possible restart the machine and try again.
If the user (who is accessing the admin console) is to perform administrative tasks either through the BizTalk Administration console make sure user is part
of BizTalk Server Administrators group or BizTalk Server Operators group for
low privileged role that only has access to monitoring and troubleshooting actions

  • Hi Team Admin console not connecting

    Hi Team,
I am using sccm2007 sp2 in one of the primary. I am unable to connect admin console getting attached error. Actually one of my team met did the repository rename.. Is it cause issue? if yes. how can i back the track

Previously i able to connect the sccm primary console. now i am not. I checked permission vise everything good..
    So that i capture my adminui.log ..
one of my team met done the repository rename in primary server. My question that's y i am not able to connect the sccm server. when i tried to connect in WMI root\sms_sitecode getting error.. can you understand now? or not
There is no getting back the WMI namespace if it was renamed or delete. It is not supported to do this without contact CSS directly for support.
You have two options, Attempt to clean up the mess of renaming the WMI. This might take a while due to the complexity of WMI and the unknowns of what was exactly done.
Call CSS and tell them what exact you have done and get them to work with you to solve this problem.

The Fusion Middleware is installed on my Windows XP laptop. To start my admin server, I use the Windows start button and navigate to "Oracle Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.0.2" -> "User Projects" -> "base-domain" -> "Start Admin Server for WebLogic Server Domain" menu item.
After the admin server is running, I use the Windows start button and navigate to "Oracle Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.0.2" -> "User Projects" -> "base-domain" -> "Admin Server Console" menu item.
A web browser pops up and after a few minutes, the login screen appears. After logging in, the admin console return a error screen. The log file contains the previous posted entries.

  • WebLogic Admin Console won't work with java security manager enabled.

By just enabling the security manager on the command line with -Djava.security.manager and using the default weblogic.policy in the server/lib directory, the admin console will not work. I just see a blank page when I try to access the admin console with permission errors all over on the server console.
In looking at the admin console's weblogic.xml it should have access to everything since it contains:
    grant {
    permission java.security.AllPermission;
Are there known issues with this? If I add this permission to the weblogic.policy file everything works fine but then I might as well not turn on the security manager.
    Thanks,
    Dave

    David,
I was glad to see your post regarding WLS 9.2 and the troubles with enabling Java Security Manager.
Were you able to learn any more on things like - why doesn't the admin console work when the security manager is enabled with the default policy file. Also, why is it so difficult to add permissions for your own applications and get them to actually work.
I'd be curious to see if you were able to get it to work or if you have any insights or resources that can help with this as we are really struggling to get a restrictive policy file that works.
    Thanks,
    D

  • BPEL Console Fails with error

We are running SOA Suite 10.1.3.1 with OAS Infrastructure 10.1.2.0.2 on a Windows 32 platform.
The OEM shows all BPEL services to be running correctly but when logging into BPEL Admin console the following error appears.

An unexpected error has occurred while executing your request. This is most likely related to a defect in the Oracle BPEL Process Manager product. We apologize you can post the error to the OTN forum and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

This tells you that you're missing a log4j.properties file in your class path. I'll bet that log4j.jar is in your application class path.

  • Admin Console will not respond

CR186966 - The Administration Console uses the JMX management interfaces to
interact with WebLogic Server. WebLogic Server supports several MBean
servers that provide access to management features from different
perspectives. Although these MBean servers may be disabled in the WebLogic
Server configuration files, the Administration Console requires these MBean
servers during operation and will not run successfully without them.

Looks like EmbeddedLDAP is messed up. Can I simply remove it? You used to
be able to in 8.1. I realize that my staged changes may be gone.

  • Admin Console errors in fresh install on Windows 2003 Enterprise.

I have attempted to install 6.1 SP4 on two different Windows 2003 Enterprise boxes. Neither has W2K3 SP1 on them. The installs proceed using a typical install with no errors reported. All defaults were accepted during the install. I can start the server for the Admin and web server instances. I can hit the default page on the web server instance. When I attempt to launch the admin console, I am prompted to logon, as expected. I enter my credentials and promptly get an HTTP 500 error. I check the logs in C:\Sun\WebServer6.1\https-admserv\logs\errors and find the following line:
[26/Apr/2005:12:43:26] failure ( 2596): for host 192.168.175.128 trying to GET /https-admserv/bin/index, cgi_scan_headers reports: HTTP4044: the CGI program C:\Sun\WebServer6.1\bin\https\admin\bin\index.exe did not produce a valid header (program terminated without a valid CGI header. Check for core dump or other abnormal termination)
I searched for others reporting similar problems and the closest I could come to an answer was to make sure cookies were enabled on the brower (they are). I get the same error in IE and Firefox, both locally and remotely. After becoming frustrated with one W2K3 server, I decided to try on another. Exactly the same errors.
Increased loglevels in the server.xml provide no additional logging for this problem. Any pointers to a resolution would be most appreciated as I'm about ready to scrap Sun and move to Apache.
    Thanks,
    Sean

Yes, there appear to be problems where certain old versions of Netscape and iPlanet products can leave old DLLs lingering in the Windows system32 directory.
I'd check for the following files in the Windows system32 directory (typically C:\WINNT\system32 or C\WINDOWS\system32):
    libnspr4.dll
    libplc4.dll
    libplds4.dll
    nss3.dll
    nssckbi.dll
    smime3.dll
    ssl3.dll
    nsldap32v50.dll
    nsldappr32v50.dll
    nsldapssl32v50.dll
If you find any of these files, you can try replacing them with a copy from your Web Server install. Don't forget to backup first.
Please report back what you find!
