Admin reject my iCloud password

Hello
I repost this problem trying to add more info ,my previous was vague and I had no reply on it.
The problem start here:admin ask for my iCloud password,I read the following msg-This account use iCloud password,to reset the pass use a different device and go to-Appleid.apple....
I use the same Apple ID iCloud, and reseted password many times from ipod, iphone, but didn't help admin still reject the password,AppleID iCloud pass works and active, also use it to login here.
All this happen after the OS X updates to 10.10 (app store download-the computer is new)
All I did is to power the computer, click on updates and leave afk note:I didn't set or chose an admin pass as I have no use to have one using a daily desktop, also had no time to set it before the updates....
Thanks for reading this post,I'll appreciate any help or idea to fix this problem while waiting on Apple support reply

did you manage the apple ID from AppleID.apple.com? if not, then change the password again and see if it works.

  • OS 10.7.3 and Mail rejects my icloud password

I use a new imac (recently replaced my old one for iCloud readiness) with 4GB memory, OS 10.7.3, and Mail regularly rejects my icloud password. I have checked the account settings and they are as suggested. I have no problem with my iPad or my iPhone which are both running iOS 5+, and my password works fine everywhere else Apple-y.
It happens at least once per day, and when I cancel the request for password in a few minutes, without further action on my part, Mail decides it does know my password after all! o.O  Curious. Not debilitating, but mildly annoying.
Could this be an icloud issue? Maybe they need to work on this? Or (gasp) is it just me!

    Hey ! Laady!
iam out of country and so use of Apple Care is muted as impractical. So anyway, the dreaded "password not recognized by server" keeps leering away at me. This happening 7 days after i leave plus no Apple Care, just what the doctor ordered..      the sick doctor that is.
So anyway, today i'm strolling through 'System Prefs' and my eyes light on 'Mail,Contacts&Calendars'  hmmm_click.
          The path found:
_System Preferences_Mail,Contacts & Calendars_icloud_    Then:  enter icloud email address
                                                                                                                  enter icloud password
                                                                                                                   _Create Apple ID
Worked like a charm and it may for others.

  • Address book rejects my icloud password

I am using Mac os X ver 10.5.8  When I go to the address book and try to log on to my mobile me account which I assume is the new icloud account it reject my password thus I am unable to sync from my icloud to my address book on my mac.  any suggestions how I can resolve this? my password works fine with my iphone..

at the very least, you need Snow Leopard, though I was informed that Mt. Lion is even better. I have Lion on my Air and SL on my Mini. Am hoping I an trasition both to Mt. Lion very soon.

  • IOS5 - iCloud password rejected, Settings app freezes

My wife and I have had a MobileMe account for a couple of years. After we both installed iOS5, I upgraded us from MobileMe to iCloud. I then set up the iCloud options on my phone without any (immediately obvious) issues. Setting up iCloud on both our Macs went smoothly as well.
Here's the problem: every time we've tried to set up my wife's phone with our iCloud credentials, the password is rejected. Not only that, but on each attempt the Settings app actually freezes as soon as the 'incorrect password' alert is displayed! She has to force quit Settings, which is really strange. We've since retried the iCloud setup process on her phone every couple of days since, and the same exact thing happens every time. I even reset our password and updated everything accordingly, and entering it on her phone it doesn't resolve anything.
This is one of several presumably interrelated iCloud password issues I've had. In addition to the issues on my wife's phone, mine prompts me daily to verify my iCloud password. Finally, our Airport Extreme is flashing amber and Airport Utility reports that my MobileMe password is incorrect. I guess I should probably post those separately.
If anyone has any advice, I'd sure appreciate it.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
Since you are encountering the same problem on multiple devices, it may well be worth considering that iCloud has had some issues today. You may wish to try again later.

  • PowerBook G4 boots to unfamiliar login. List of known user accounts does not appear and original admin user name and password is rejected. What is going on here?

PowerBook G4 boots to unfamiliar login. List of known user accounts does not appear and original admin user name and password is rejected. What is going on here?

There are no children, nor other suspicious characters that have "played" with my computer. One moment I'm in, the next time I turn on/restart the powerbook I'm at a screen with the name of the hard drive and two fields: username and password. Not a list with pictures and names ie 'Katie Jo' with an orange icon and 'Guest' with a silhouette of a head.
In an attempt to remedy this problem, I backed up files using target disk mode and firewire cable. I then, rebooted in single user mode, typed in the correct script and essentially made the computer appear virgin again. Original start up welcome screen display with multiple languages, and then set up prompts such as language, network, and registration. After completing the cues and the "just a few more questions" page, I press continue and am left at a grey standstill, with the continue button greyed out, and no other actions. I'm only able to "go back" by clicking the go back button, all the way to the beginning of the set up, and as I proceed through the steps a second time, I'm greeted with the same halt. What is this?

  • My reset iCloud password only works for a few days

I have a MacBookPro and iPhone 4. About 2 months ago, I began to get notices on the MBP that there was a password problem with my iCloud/AppleID.
When I try to log in using my current password, I get a reject telling me that the password is incorrect (also I'm unable to dl updates on the iPhone4 at this point).
I'll go to forgotmypassword, go through the security questions, reset the password and can now log in as normal (I can now dl updates on the iPhone4)..but this fix will only "last" for a few days. I reset it today 1/7/14..the last reset was 12/30.

    This should fix the issue:
Special thanks to Roger Wilmut for providing the detailed instructions below.
    https://discussions.apple.com/people/Roger%20Wilmut1
    1. Shut down Mail.  Next, deselect "iCloud Mail" in the iCloud preferences pane in System Preferences FIRST.  If not, it will automatically pre-populate the wrong p9X.mail.me.com server names again overwriting all your work.
    2. Now restart Mail and go to preferences.  If "iCloud" mail is still showing, select it and click on the "-" at the bottom to remove it.
    3. Now follow the instructions here: http://www.wilmut.webspace.virginmedia.com/notes/icloudmail.html (disregard that this is for Snow Leopard, it DOES work on Lion) paying attention to the use of the "option" key when needed to avoid Mail automatically "creating" the account and closing out the preferences window.
    4. Ensure the correct server names of "imap.mail.me.com and smtp.mail.me.com" are still there and close Mail preferences and now select "get mail".  It may prompt one last time for your iCloud password, enter it and you are done.
    Good Luck.

  • How to stop Calendar app from asking for my icloud password every 5 minutes

    On Mac OS X 10.9.5
Recently the Calendar app pops up a window every few minutes asking for my iCloud password. I am sure I am entering the correct password, and selecting Remember password in my keychain - but it doesn't help. I have tried switching off Calendars in my iCloud settings, waiting then switching it on again. I have restarted my computer (several times). Nothing seems to help. The problem started since setting up 2-step authentication for my iCloud account. Any help much appreciated - It is really annoying!

I found this on the Flexibit website.
Why does Fantastical ask for my iCloud password after enabling two-factor authentication for iCloud?
Apple recently made a change and now requires app-specific passwords when using two-factor authentication with iCloud. Please read this on how to set it up: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6186.
If you've set up an app-specific password and Fantastical is still not accepting the new password, make sure that you aren't accidentally pasting in a return with the password. iCloud's website will include a return at the end of the password if you copy and paste the password directly from the iCloud website, which will cause the app-specific password to be rejected.

  • Itunes Store & App Store reject my correct password on iPhone

We have numerous devices iMac, MacBookPro, iPad, iPad Mini, two iphones in our family under the same Apple ID.
Everything is fine except on our iPhone 5 running iOS8.1.2
    -all software is updated
-it signs in to the iCloud fine with our AppleID
-it WILL NOT sign in to "Itunes & App Store"
-it rejects the correct password and keeps asking for it.
    IT IS EXTREMELY ANNOYING!
    -i have restarted
-i have updated password for all devices
    -i have updated software
-i have cleared our ipads of lingering app downloads
-i have signed into iTunes on our iMac and "cleared the cache"
-i have signed out and signed back in to iCloud
    A couple of things:
    -our iCloud storage is full
-this phone has been unlocked by AT&T and we are the second owner.
Please if you have the easy solution i haven't found, I would be very greatful!  Thank you.

    Try a reset:
Hold the home and power buttons at the same time until the Apple boot logo appears. No data will be lost.
If it doesn't work, time for a restore.

  • IOs 8.1 Mail app keeps asking for iCloud password

Since the update to iOs 8.1 i have a problem with my mailbox.
Every time i want to create a new mail, it asks me for my iCloud password.
This happens on my iPhone (6) and iPad (Air) while im in my iCloud inbox, Gmail inbox, or just the general overview.
Whenever i press the create new mail icon it will ask for my iCloud password.
    - When i give the iCloud password (correct one) it wont ask for it again in the next 15 mins
    - When i dont give the iCloud password (cancel) i can just send mails but it will ask for the password whenever i create a new mail.
    What i did:
    - Remove iCloud account > reboot > Add iCloud account > didnt solve the problem
    - Remove Keychain  > didnt solve the problem
    - Remove iCloud photo's > didnt solve the problem
    - Remove iCloud mail > still asks for the iCloud password.
    - Remove iCloud > solves the problem but i dont want to remove iCloud
    - Disabled all iCloud options, (mail, contacts, etc) > didnt solve the problem
    - Disabled 2 step verification > didnt solve the problem
Everytime i want to create a new mail, u see the phone/pad use the "syncing icon" 3x 5 seconds, maybe a link here?
Anyone else with any ideas that i can try?

That's interesting that it didn't start to happen after a while on your work iPad. I just tried my iPad this evening and I'm getting the same iCloud password popup message when I try to create a new mail or enable "Contacts Only' in Airdrop.
I still think it's a problem with our iCloud accounts. Some flag in the system isn't set or something for some reason. I don't even have mail switched on in my iCloud account so there is no valid reason why Mail.app would try and authenticate to iCloud just because we create a new email.
Signing out of iCloud fixes the issue for me (not that it's a valid long term solution) so that points the finger directly at a setting on my server side iCloud account I think.

  • How to change iCloud password on a remote Mac?

I use iCloud and Back To My Mac (BTMM) to access some of the computers I have overseas. Everything was fine up until yesterday when I had to change my iCloud password. I now have lost access via BTMM to those remote computers as they need to have the iCloud password updated in the iCloud panel in their System Preference (and the Back to My Mac option has to be disabled/re-enabled to have it restarted).
I have remote SSH access to those remote Macs (all running Lion and in one case Snow Leopard), so I have a working SSH shell on them. But I cannot figure out how to update the iCloud password that is stored on those Mac via command line. I can reboot them if needed of course remotely, I'd just need to update the password used for the iCloud services...
Having someone walk to those Macs, login with my account and have them enter the password for me is not really an option, as to do that I'd have to give them both my Mac's account password and my new iCloud password, which is not going to happen :-) In addition, some of the Macs are used by my parents and in-laws, with their computer skill being limited to knowing how to open Safari and the Mail app. They wouldn't be able to help in anything technical.
So... is there another solution other than buying a plane ticket to go overseas and do it myself?

In case anyone wonders, I was finally able to update my iCloud password ont he remote computer. The key was SSH.
Issue this command to connect via SSH to the remote Mac:
    ssh remote_computer -L 5800:127.0.0.1:5900
This forwards all traffic from port 5800 on your Mac to port 5900 (the VNC/Screen Sharing port...) on the remote Mac.
Then open the Screen Sharing app from your Mac. From there, connect to:
    localhost:5800
This will actually connect you to the remote Mac, even though your iCloud password is wrong on the remote Mac. Now you have GUI access and you can login into your account remotely and update the iCloud password on the System Preferences on the remote Mac.

  • HT5624 for some reason my icloud password is different to my apple id can I make them the same ?

My icloud password is different to my normal apple password I use for itunes can I change it to be the same, have ipone 4s just got ipad air having problems getting old photos from phone to pad ?

Of course you can make your passwords of different accounts the same by just changing it here: www.appleid.apple.com . Just click on "Manage Account" sign in and then change your password.

  • Apple ID and iCloud Passwords are Not the Same

iCloud uses a different password to login than my Apple ID which I use for iTunes and everything else I do with Apple. Can I change my iCloud password to match my Apple/iTunes ID or will that cause problems like those I've seen noted on forums? OR, is it a good idea to keep the passwords different since my Apple & iTunes ID is connected to my credit card?
Note in Case this Applies: I am running iTunes 11.1 on my MacPro in OS 10.6.8 Snow Leopard and will upgrade to Mountain Lion in October and then Mavericks when it arrives (if stable). I am about to install iOS 7 on my iPhone 4s (64G) and iPad 4 (32G).

Can I jump onto this discussion with a similar problem.
    I updated the OS on iPhone 5 and Ipad to get the latest security updates. Since then I cannot access my icloud account. I have tried changing the password and get to the point were I am sent a verification email and advised to;
"Check your email and look for a verification email from Apple. Click on the Verify Now link and sign in with your new Apple ID and password". Unfortunately there is no "verify now link"
Consequently I can no longer access my account. Any ideas?!
