Admin Studio 9.5 SE unable to connect to ZCM server
Hi! I just finish installing AdminStudio 9.5 SE SP1 (AdminStudioSE95.iso) on a clean VMware Windows XP SP3 install and AdminStudio won't connect to my zenworks server. At first, I input my serial number and it says successfull. Then a window, with a ZENworks 7 title!!!, ask me to input the address of the Zenworks server and it just doesn't work. I tried http://ipaddress, http://dnsname, etc. But nothing works. By the way if we paid for the ZENworks Configuration Management Standard Edition do we have access to the InstallaShield 2010 application? Because when I try to start it I just get a warning that says "This feature requires a higher edition of AdminStudio".

Thanks Darren! That was exactly our problem. I was able to correct the problem by opening up a chat session with Novell support. 5 minutes and I had a new serial number.

It's Sunday now, will try again Monday.

Admin Studio 90a unable to connect to ZCM server
What I have:
ZCM 10.1 setup on Windows 2003 server - running smoothly. Able to login and function as Administrator using password x
URL used to connect to this is https://10.10.1.68/zenworks/jsp/Login.jsp
Admin Studio SE 90 Zenworks Edition.
Issue:
I am unable to connect to the said ZCM server using these credentials:

I am getting logon failed every time.
I can logon from this machine (running admin studio) through the web browser into ZCM.Another thought then,
When I go to login to the ZCM web interface I use:

and during the login process it switches over to https://
Does this mean that somewhere in ZCM or on that server do I need to allow Admin Studio to connect using the unsecure http?
Also I found this in the help files on the Admin Studio machine. It does say that I could use https
Not sure if this is a typo in the help or not --- Anyways, I just need to get connected, I'm not picky as to how it happens.

Unable to Connect to the Server and WLI Domain problem

this is the details
I have installed installed WIntegration Server and using
quickstart click the Take to Platform tour I started all the servers
Note-- I have not installed separate weblogic server 7.0 and not started.
whenever I click started WebLogic Integration Studio and it shows

1.- Server:
Suse Linux Enterprise Server 11.3 kernel version: 3.0.76-0.11 IBM
NDB and Server are review 69 SP06
2.- Client:
Windows 8 Pro Virtual Machine on Microsoft Hyper-V
SB1H PL 11 version 32bits
SAP HANA Studio version 1.0.60
When I run SB1H the following message appears:
There is a problem with the server's security certificate. The security certificate is not from a trusted certifying authority. SAP Business One is unable to connect to the server.

Sharepoint Integrated SQL Reporting - Unable to connect to the server that is specified......
This is driving me crazy. I have Reporting services implemented on several sites in Sharepoint. For some reason just one site refuses to work. I see all the features are there. I can create data sources.
When I try to create a report I get :
"Unable to connect to the server that is specified in the URL,
http://help.site. Make sure that the server is running, the URL is correct, and you have permission to use the server"
I'm using my domain admin account, I know know this works on every other site. I know I haven't forgotten the general setup of the service.
The only difference is this site allows "anonymous" connections. Has anyone heard of an issue about using anon and reporting services? Either way I authenticate before I login but that doesn't have an effect.

5) Double Clicked on Authentication
6) Disabled "Anonymous Access" to the reporting folder itself

SSRS 2008 - Unable to connect to remote server
Win2k3 R2 SP2/SQL Server 2008 instance with SSRS/Visual Studio 2008
I installed SQL 2008 and SSRS with native mode default configuration.
All SQL 2008 services are running under "NT Authority\Network Service" account.
When i try to deploy a new report, I get the "Unable to connect to remote server" error.
The deploy operation creates empty folders on the web server (hosted by the SQL Server 2008 service)
for e.g.
my instance name is <machinename>$sql2008. i configured the WebService URL and the Reports Manager URL to port 85
the deploy from VS creates ssrs2008Test folder and a Shared Data Sources folder in the following virtual directory
- Report Manager URL: http://<machinename>:85/Reports_SQL2008/
- Web Service URL: http://<machinename>:85/ReportServer_SQL2008
however these folders are empty w/ no .rdl or .rds file. and i get the "Unable to connect to remote server" error in Visual Studio 2008 when i deploy it.
is there something else i have to tweak in either the SQL Server/SSRS Configuration Manager or the Windows Server Settings(like port settings or group policy) to get the reports to work?

MDM 71 - mdm console and clix - unable to connect to database server
Hi,
environment, MDM 7.1, AIX 6, Oracle 10.2.0.4 (installed as part of a standalone java AS)
i've an issue. I have installed MDM 71 via sapinst, before that I installed a standalone java application server. During the installation, i gave the 'oracle client', 'oracle home' and 'oracle sqlplus utility' to be those of the oracle database installed for the java AS.
After sapinst completed I tested my connection to the database via
tnsping <SID> = OK
sqlplus system/passwd@<SID> = OK
When i start up the mdm console (7.1.02.90) i can mount the MDM server, BUT when I try to configure the database settings i get
error 'unable to connect to database server'
I get the same error when i use clix dblist
Error: 0x84020004, Unable to connect with Database Server
Has anybody got any ideas.To see why the MDM is not able to connect to database, do the following:
% cd /usr/sap/<SID>/MDSxx/log
% ls -ltr
You will find last updated log file with name like MDS_LogXXUX101224X164953.csv
% tail -100 MDS_LogXXUX101224X164953.csv
You will see the reason for not being able to connect. If the reason is:

Unable to connect to DPM Server 2012 SP1
We are getting the below on client machine when we have successfully install DPM Console on client machine SCOM console is already installed on the client and rights are already given to client on SCOM roles DPM Read Only Operator and SCOM console is open
on client machine we are using SCOM 2012 SP1 and DPM 2012 SP1 The error which I got is given below when we try to connect the DPM and one more thing if use RUN As Adminsitrator on client machine to connect the console from DPM ADMIN ID it will connects but
from the client ID it doesn't connect it and gives the below error. Kindly tell me the solution
Unable to connect to DPM Server Name (ID:33333)
1. Verify that the DPM service is running on this computer
2. Verify that the current has been added to at least one of the roles in scom
3. Open SCOM Console and then try launching the dpm console
4. If you have re-imported the mp recently the role configuration may be corrupted. Open the DPM specific roles
and check if the roles have task assigned to them. If not delete the roles and recreate them.

Unable to connect to essbase server
Hi all,
In one of my DEV environment(Hyperion 9.3.1 64-bit)..I'm unable to connect to essbase server(EPMTSG96:1478) and throws out below error
Error: 1051293: Login fails due to invalid login credentials
I'm not even able to perform start/stop of essbase server.
On the shared services end,i get below error message when tried to select my essbase server project(Analytic Servers: EPMTSG96:2),tied with essbase server EPMTSG96:1478

I'm able to connect to admin console using my "admin" id and not able to connect to my essbase server using "epmpadm",which is the user name set for essbase server EPMTSG96:1478.
Here goes the action i performed:
1) Created new shared services project as "Analytic Servers : EPMTSG96:3"
2) Added the application "Analytic servers :EPMTSG96:2" to the project,due to which this application already under project "Analytic Servers: EPMTSG96:2" got removed.
3) So now my project structure is like this:
Analytic Servers : EPMTSG96:3
+ Analytic Servers: EPMTSG96:2
4) Now tried to externalise the users from essbase server EPMTSG96:1478 and from then i got all these failure messages.

Error calling report FRM-41213 unable to connect to Report Server

I have installed Oracle Database 10g R2 and Oracle Developer 10gR2.
I installed it in both Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows XP SP2.
I would like to call a Report using a button inside Oracle Form.
I create my own Report Server, using : rwserver server=repsrv
A Java-based window appear OracleAS Reports Sevice, and showed that repsrv is ready.
In Form (inside a button -> WHEN-BUTTON-PRESSED) :
1. Using RUN_REPORT_OBJECT()

The Report server is ready, but the web browser seems unable to connect to Report Server.
2. Can we used or call or executed an executable command line from Form (using PL/SQL inside button)?

Here are the step I did.
Note : Please make backup for the following file : rwnetwork.conf
- In file rwnetwork.conf, remove or commented the following
<multicast channel="228.5.6.7" port="14021" timeout="1000" retry="3"/>
- And then uncommented
<namingService name="Cos" host="%NAMING_HOST%" port="%NAMING_PORT%"/>
- replace the
%NAMING_HOST% with your computer name or specify an IP address
%NAMING_PORT% with 14021
It should look like this :
<namingService name="Cos" host="blahblah" port="14021"/>
- I did not change the : name="Cos", since I do not understand what does it for
- Save you changes.
- Start the OC4J.
- Find the location of : namingservice.bat (on Windows platform)
- execute in the command line : namingservice.bat 14021
- finally start the report in the web browser
Note:
To shutdown the namingservice, use : namingservice.bat 14021 shutdown

I'm running into an annoying issue with samba. I don't have any printers installed, and probably won't. However smbd complains to no end in /var/log/errors.log about not being able to connect to a cups server:

Those last two lines get spammed constantly.
