Admin tab missing in BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.1 in windows xp 32 bit

Folks,
I am unable to see the Admin tab in BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.1 in windows xp 32 bit. I am trying to login from OBIEE --> More products --> Bi Publisher.
If I try to reinstall BI publisher desktop It says you have already installed. All my OBIEE stuff works fine. I went through the link

*I looked at my {OracleBI}\xmlp\XMLP\Admin\Configuration\xmlp-server-config.xml file.*
I don't have the SUPERUSER_PASSWORD and SUPERUSER_USERNAME lines.
my security model says as below.

I tied changing to <property name="SECURITY_MODEL" value="XDO"/> Nothing happens...!

How do I get the Admin tab in the BI publisher? Somebody help..

I was able to navigate within Admin tab. But, when I try to add any new jdbc data source or modify the demo data source's connection string the screen hangs. I have to kill the screen using alt+ctl+del from the task manager window.
Also, I can't access BI Publisher from MS word. When I try to login from Word It asks for report server. In the tutorial it says that we can access BI publisher only if BI desktop is successfully installed.
What is going on here? Somebody help me in setting up the JDBC data source.

BI Publisher ADMIN tab missing

I'm logging in as Administrator to BI Publisher, but the Admin tab is missing at the top of the screen.
When I log into Analytics as Administrator, and select Settings...Manage BI Publisher, I get this error screen:
"Reporting Login: Login failed: Please contact administrator for your username/password."
And although there is a link on that page that says "Details", clicking it simply returns "Error Codes: " with no further explanation or list of error codes.
If I select "Settings...Manage BI Publisher" again, the BI Publisher Enterprise screen opens without the error message, but also without the Admin tab.
Administrator is listed as a valid user under Settings...Manage Privileges...Manage BI Publisher.
Any clues or thoughts?

Are you using BI EE security for BIP? If so, it sounds like you forgot to create the required BIP roles in your RPD before switching BIP over to use BI EE security. Go into your RPD and create a role called XMLP_ADMIN. Put administrator in that group. This should fix the immediate problem. There are 5 other groups required for this to work properly. You also need to setup a subject are called SA System.

Installing BI Publisher 10.2.3.2.0 on Windows 7 32-bit

Hi all,
I'm having problems installing Oracle BI Publisher Template Builder for Word 10.1.3.2.0 Build 87 on Windows 7 32-bit. When running Setup.exe I get the following error.
Window Title: "Oracle BI Publisher Desktop Setup"
Error: "Setup could not find Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 on your machine. BI Publisher Desktop will not run and setup cannot continue without this component installed."
I've searched this forum and the internet and can't seem to find a solution. Does anyone know how to get BIP installed under Windows 7?

Hi Srix,
There doesn't seem to be a way to bypass or otherwise skip the .NET Framework 2.0 check. I've tried command line switches from Installshield and switches for msiexec.exe. All attempts have not allowed me to bypass this step.
I have also tried changing the compatibility to Windows XP all SP and Windows Vista all SP.
Srix, do you, or any one else, have any other suggestions? I might have to downgrade this laptop to Windows XP in order for my user to use BIP.

'Evaluations' tab missing in Process Publisher

We've installed the process publisher on a server but when I login I only see the 'home', 'contents', 'find' and 'favourites' tabs - the 'evaluations' tab is missing.
I've also done a local install of the publisher on my PC and the 'evaluations' tab is there and I'm able to run reports.
Any ideas anyone?

I think I may have understood this a bit more....
It seems that when you create an 'anonymous' export, the 'Evaluations' tab doesn't appear and you are unable to run evaluations. However, if you then make the export non-anonymous (i.e. you need to login as a named user) then you are able to do evaluations on your models/objects.
Strangely, then reverting the export back to 'anonymous' doesn't then remove the evaluations.... weird.

Missing File error when trying to install HP 5610xi using Windows 7 64 bit download

I have tried several times to download and install the software and drivers for my old 5610xi on my new computer running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS. I keep getting a "missing file" message when trying to run the download, and it will not install. Can someone please help!?!?

Hi computeir, sorry to hear that you are having issues with getting your printer installed on to your computer. If you are connecting the printer to the computer with a usb cable, please remove it from the printer and the computer and set it aside. Please click the link I have provided for the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

Admin tab user role missing!!!!!

I need help,
it seem I have error,
when I play with user role in admin tab.
when I restart pc server, I have problem to access my BI Publisher.
I just see
tab report, schedule.
admin tab missing .
and all my report I make missing to.
How to fix it,
Oh when I change password in analytics it change to in BI publisher,
analytics = BI publisher,
But admin tab missing how to fix it help me urgent!!!!

Admin Tab is not available in BI Publisher

I have created a new repository and create a new request in Answers.After that I have found that I am not able to see the Admin tab in BI publisher and I am unable to connect to BI EE through MS Word. Invalid username password message arise.Anybody have any idea about this ???

BI PUBLISHER AND LDAP-- Can not see Admin tab

I have setup BI Publisher with LDAP. Created all XMLP_* groups in LDAP and created user Administrator in LDAP as a member of XMLP_* groups. However, when I login to BI Publisher, I can not see Admin tab. I have reads all posts on this site, but nothing helpful. Any help... Thanks

I have installed OBIEE , to get a practice on BI Publisher. I launch BI Publisher with the user / password (Administrator/Administrator) . I am getting BI Publisher screen without admin tab. Please help me how can i get Admin tab.

Modify the file xmlp-server-config.xml in \OracleBI\xmlp\XMLP\Admin\Configuration with the following contents and check.
<property name="SUPERUSER_PASSWORD" value="Give Some Password"/>
<property name="SUPERUSER_USERNAME" value="Admin"/>
<property name="SECURITY_MODEL" value="XDO"/>
Restart OC4J and log in either with Administrator or the Admin id created above.

BI Publisher - No "Admin" tab

I am working on the BI Publisher tutorials online and when I log into the web interface for BI Publisher as Administrator, I do not see an "Admin" tab. I am guessing that somehow Administrator does not have full admin privileges. Does anyone know how to correct this?

Make sure the user you are logged in as is a member of the XMLP_ADMIN group.

Publisher Admin tab not available

I'm trying to setup the BI publisher.
When I access the publisher, I can't see the Admin tab. I can't create any report. Basically, I can't do anything.
I have already allow the access to the publishser to Everyone.

is the version of OBIEE that you're using 10.1.3.3.0?
I have this problem when I'm using this version. When I upgrade to a higher version this problem didn't happen again.
If you couldn't upgrade your version try to execute the cryptotools utility.
Also, check if the 'xmlp-server-config.xml' file (at $OracleHome\OracleBI\xmlp\XMLP\Admin\Configuration) has the entry <property name="SAW_USERNAME" value="Administrator"/>

Newbie, Missing Admin tab and Schedules tab is greyed out

I am totally new to BI Publisher. I just completed the installation of both Oracle DB 10g and OBIEE 10.1.3.4
I am following the example in OBE to get started with BI Publisher. However, when I open the BI publisher, I don't see the Admin tab and also the schedules tab is greyed out. Where can I reenable the Admin tab?
Installation details:

I am accessing the BI publisher from Business Intelligence/BI Publisher

Or is there another menu tab to perform BIP Admin in this version?

Admin tab: u have to include Admin ID in the XMLP_ADMIN group in the RPD. (i believe u know how to do that)
Schedule: U have to configure scheduler and start the scheduler service. U need to follow as series of steps for that ...

"Could not write to configuration file" when config Publisher in admin tab

Hi guys,
I have install OBIEE 10.3.3.4 on an RH linux box (with OS user obiee) and Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1 on the same box (with OS user oraias).
When I want to change some parameter in the admin tab of BI publisher (Administrator/Administrator as the login name/pass) and click "Apply",
I get the error "Could not write to configuration file". After I change the configuration properties to 777 the error is sitll there. And I also try to change the SECURITY MODEL to XDO, but still no use.
I made a test, for example, when I change something in admin--JDBC--Oracle BIEE and then apply, I got the error. If I update xmlp/DataSource/datasources.xml manually, the change can be seen after I reopen the page admin--JDBC--Oracle BIEE. That means I find the correct file and the file access properties is ok.
For other parameters such as Scheduler Configuration, I got the same error when apply. But the "Test connection" and "Install schema" work.
Can somebody give me some advise on this ? Thanks
