Administration client port

Hi all!!
What port does the administration client use to connect the server?
thx to all
Giovanni

If you have Domain1 where you have the BPC server and Domain2 where some users needs access then you need the follow rights between domains:
1. Domain2 must be able to access servers from Domain1
2. Installation user for BPC from Domain1 must be able to browse the users from Domain2
If you have trust relationship between domains then these two conditions are fine.
If not then you have to check the two points mentioned before.

  • BPC 7.1 Administration Client cannot be started

    Hi All,
I am trying to start action "manage application sets" on administration client for BPC 7.0 Patch 7 but the client stay invisible.
the last thing that I can see is the client starts to download some files (step 1).
After this it gets invisible, all that I can find is the activ process OSoftAdminMain.exe.
    I get no error, nothing.
Last thing that I tested is to execute BPC Client Diagnostic for Administration client features. There I got some errors:

    Hi,
no, unfortunately it does not work.
I reinstalled the BPC client, but it is the same.
The only exception: the client diagnostic tool shows no errors any more::

  • How can I preserve Client Port on CSS

    Hi guys,
I’m wondering if there is a way to configure CSS11503 running 8.10 so that the servers in the content rules can see the client port number??
The servers can see the client IP, but not the port!! It seems when forwarding packets to the servers in the content rule, the CSS uses a new high-number port when communicating with servers.
    Thanks

I might be wrong, but afaik it depends on the type of balancing method used.
As long as the CSS only needs to nat the destination it won't change the client source port.
As soon as it get's a Layer4 rule it will intercept and setup a new connection and thus cause higher port numbers.

It seems the problem was a broken database Spotlight.
    That's what helped me:
    sudo rm -rf /.Spotlight-V100
    cd /System/Library/LaunchDaemons
    sudo launchctl load -w com.apple.metadata.mds.plist
That will start the re-indexing your hard drive to Spotlight.

  • OTU2 XP client port is SIGLOSS

    Hi,
I have OCHCC and OCHTRAIL created between two OTU2_XP cards. The OCHTRAIL is in IS state. The OCHCC is still in OOS state. Both sides show major alarm for the client port SIGLOSS Signal Loss on Data Interface. I know for sure that one side has the client 10GIG LR connection, but the other side does not yet. Is it normal to see the alarm on both sides? Should it be only on one side where client is not connected?
Also, when doing power meter testing, the side where the client is connected - the client equipment is sending the light, but when checking the light from the OTU2 XP client port, there is no light, is this also normal?
    Steve

    Hi Steve,
    sorry for late reply.
can you please check following things,
•1.     go to card view --- performance – optics PM – current values – refresh
check this on both cards for client ports.
•2.     Go to card view – provisioning – card – check for card configuration and AIS/Squelch option.
Also signal loss on data interface means we are not receiving any optical power on client port.
As you said on one side you didn’t see anything coming out from Transmit of OTU2_XP client, this is because of squelch.
So it looks like an normal behavior of the card.
    Squelch function:
    Switch------OTU2XP(A)-------------OTU2XP(B)----------Switch
At OTU2XP (A) if you are not receiving anything on Rx of client port connected to switch, you not transmit anything from client port of OTU2_XP(B)
    And vice-versa.

  • Oracle Administrator Client for IFS

    Greetings ..
I am trying to install IFS using 2-tier configuration .. The database is on NT and IFS is on Solaris 7/2.7 (IFS downloaded from technet) ..
The installation manual says .. I need Oracle 8i Administrator client , SQL*PLus & JDBC/OCI driver installed on the IFS machine for it to talk to the database .. I can download JDBC from technet but where do I GET SQL*PLUS & ADMINISTRATOR CLIENT from ...
Do I need to download Oracle 8i for Solaris (500M file) ..?
    thanks
    varun

    Unfortunately, yes.
To the best of my knowledge,
    "Oracle8i Client, Release 2 (8.1.6), Administrator option"
is only available as part of the Oracle8i database installation.
The Administrator Client install itself takes some 300M to install.
Perhaps you can find a CD.

  • Unable to start Agentry Administration Client

Hi Im unable to start Agentry Server. Error is: (0*00002733) A non-blocking socket operation could not be completed immediately.
Please help me in resolving this. Below is the screen shot for reference.

    Madhuri,
The Agentry server produces this ServerPipes.lst to broadcast the necessary connection (hostname and port + plus some secret settings) to any admin services (this includes the Agentry Admin tool and the AgentryGUI).
    By design when you:
Stop the AgentryServer the ServerPipes.lst also gets deleted (Sometimes a tool or application is reading the ServerPipes.lst and this may be the reason why it was not deleted on stopping the AgentryServer).
Start the server the ServerPipes.lst gets created. On restart or recreation of the ServerPipes.lst the contents of it may be different than before. In particular the Command and Status addresses will most likely have different ports and the secret should be different.
The user can leave the specific port values in the Agentry.ini if the designer has a requirement to lock the admin client down to a specific port (e.g if you have a firewall). If the designer just wants to restrict the Agentry to a specific interface or host name, the designer can leave the host name in the commandPipePort/statusPipePort settings and use 0 for the port number to allocate the port dynamically
The ServerPipes.lst should be readable (if the customer makes this file unreadable or the directory where it lies unreachable, any of the AgentryGui or AdminGui tools will not be able to connect to the Agentry server. Sometimes administrator tries to limit access to certain files and directories. Let it be known if this file or the directory gets lock by file sharing access then any admin services that will try to connect to the Agentry server will be unsuccessful.
    Hope this helps.

  • Configure client ports for RTMFP

We are redesigning our Flash application to use RTMFP in place of RTMP, and we are interested in knowing exactly which ports our client app will try to use when connecting with RTMFP. From reading the documentation provided, it appears that the hostport element of Adaptor.xml allows for configuration of ports for Flash Media Server. Will changes to these port values have any effect on the ports being used by the client?

    Hi,
    Keystore Entry:
Login to Visual Admin --> Server --> Services --> KeyStorage --> TrustedCAs --> Load --> Select the location where you have stored the certificate on your local system
Load function is used as you have already got the certificate....
Once this is done you will find an entry for your certificate in the Entries tab of your TrustedCAs section.
This is your Keystore Entry...in other words it the name of your certificate.
    Keystore View:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_webas630/helpdata/en/16/c0503e1dac5b46e10000000a114084/content.htm
Are you going to consume Logon tickets of the Third party system (which is other than SAP J2ee engine of your XI)? If yes, then you may also need to do some more settings in the J2ee Engine.

  • Change ARD Client Ports

I have multiple computers behind a NAT firewall. I know that some routers allow you to map forwarded ports (mine does not).
    eg WAN Port 5901 -> 5900 192.168.1.5
Is there a change I could make to a plist file or to a service to change the CLIENT SIDE ARD ports (I do this all the time with RDP and Windows through a reg hack)?
    Thanks

Sorry, but it's not possible to change the ports ARD uses. For observe/control, you can use a different VNC server that would allow a different port, but for the other functions ARD can use only port 3283. With multiple computers behind a firewall, the best route is usually either to set up a VPN so your admin computer is part of the network, or install ARD on one system on the network and take control of that system via screen sharing to run the ARD admin application.

Y dont u use the SOAP adapter directly and just specify the receiver WS url there. Where do u want to specify the port?

  • VSM 1.3 application - How to run VSM Administration Client ( ?)

    Hi
I am unable to access VSM's mall admin page. Is there any special procedure, like using JClient.
I looked at the following URL:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/sample_code/tutorials/bc4jvsm/over/setup.htm
But I am not quite sure if this applies to VSM 1.3. Could somebody let me know..
    thanks in advance

Using Run As - Java application, as the name implies, will run the main class as a Java standalone application and not as an application client. For example, doing a lookup() will raise
Exception in thread "Main Thread" javax.naming.NoInitialContextException: Need to specify class name in environment or system property, or as an applet parameter, or in an application resource file: java.naming.factory.initial
because the java.naming.factory.initial is not specified this happens in a standalone application, while in an application client running in the container this doesn't have to be specified, as the class is already in the container.

  • FTP client Default Data Connection Ports

I'm developing a simple FTP client from the socket level. The only documents I am referring are J2SDK API and RFC 959. For the control connection I am ok, but for the data connection is not. According to the RFC 959 : "The user-process default data port is the same as the control connection port". The control connection port is used by my FTP command connection while connected to the FTP server, so how can I "listen" to the same port before I send the "RETR" command to the server ?
Pls give me a hint , Thanks
    Samuel

The way I read it is that the client opens the control connection by connecting to the server control port (usually 21) from a random port. The client also listens on its own port 21. The server will eventually establish a connection from a random port to the client port 21. I may be wrong though. The best way, IMHO, to proceed, is to use a network monitor such as TCPDUMP or WINDUMP and see what other FTP clients/servers do. I also know for a fact that there are open source FTP clients and servers, even in Java.
