Administration-Configure link to show as startup page Error

Hi Experts,
When i try to click on "Administration" under porfolio management in the portal, i get this error "Configure link to show as startup page".
I did the following steps:
1. Go to transaction SPRO->SAP xRPM-> Global Customizing->Process and service settings-> define navigation.
2. Double click on link group definition
3. Select link group 300 (Administration.)
4. Double Click on Map Link Groups to Object Context and enter your default portfolio..... fill out the following fields : Portfolio Type (The type of your default portfolio), Object type (RPH), role (RPM_PORT).......
5. Restart the J2ee Engine after the above steps.
Still I get the same error.
Please tell me where i went wrong/ to solve this issue. Is there any way to solve this?

Please check whether you have mention the 'Link Group' as well in Map link Groups to Object Context.

How to use external links to show a specific page with a parametrer ?

Hi everybody,
we discovered an annoying problem while we were developping applications who are sending emails after creating a new record. We are creating a valid APEX link which call our applications correctly, on the right page, and with the right parameter. The first time we log in, it works perfectly. The problem is when the user is trying to call an other record from the next email. It's not working unless we close our session. I guess it's a protection against hacking, but we can't ask the user to connect and disconnect every time they wants to watch a specific record directly from a mail ?
The only way I can imagin to resolve this problem, is to open a page that will show all the newest entries in the table from a parameter. It could work for our applications that requires a lot travel between records.
Do you have any other solution we could use ?

Not the application, the page their are accessing.. Since you are using check-sums on the links and some sort of authentication, unless you build your authentication to allow a certain user access via e-mail, you will have issues.
Have you seen this example of doing a survey through e-mail in APEX?: http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=9487:28:426474841717567::NO:28::

J2EE Engine startup page error: File [main.jsp] not found in application..

Hi Guys,
I have just uninstalled and reinstalled SAP Netweaver 7.01 portal. The uninstall was clean and the reinstall also went without any errors.
However, immediately after this, when I open http://<host>:<port> I get the following error:
404 Not Found
The requested resource /main.jsp is not available
Details: File main.jsp not found in application root of alias [/] of J2EE application [sap.com/com.sap.engine.docs.examples].
If, instead, I open portal (http://<host>:<port>/irj), it works fine.
Anybody has any idea why this has happened and how can I resolve this issue?

Hi Anil,
I don't see how this note is relevant here. It is just the j2ee engine start page which is not opening. If I go straight to the systeminfo page or the portal login page, they are all working.
Any experience on this issue with that note u suggested? Please share.

Links Palette Showing for Page Number

I can't find anything about this on these forums or in a Google search, so I'm not sure what's happening.
We publish a dozen 300-page catalogs a year with several thousand images. Each catalog is comprised of sections. Once in a while (probably more often than not), instead of the page number on which it appears, one or more of the linked images shows < > in the page number column of the links palette. If we click on it (to show the image), nothing happens.
Has anyone encountered this before? We're using CS4 for Windows.

I will as soon as we see one again, which shouldn't be long. We exported the section as XML from the "structure" pane then imported it as XML and those bad links were gone, which is kind of a band-aid for now. I'd like to know what's causing it, though.
I'll attach a screen capture as soon as I can. Thanks.

Startup page does not dislay correctly

Hi all
i inastalled the APEX 4.0 application and i had some admin priviledges errors. Thus i uninstalled APEX As well as the Oracle XE database application.
When installing it for the second time (and consequent times) as administrator, i do not get the startup page displaying correctly.
It seems there is a problem with identifying the /i/ directory (as if the styles and images are noy loaded with the page), thus the logging on is also not possible.
can someone help here?

Hello, I`m trying to authenticate acces to my servlet, (Tom Cat 4.0.3), in my Deploy Descriptor I set BASIC authentication and a <error-page> with <error-code> 401 and a <location>/error.html but when I try 3 times Tomcat don�t shows my html page error and shows his page error, I don�t know why, thanks a lot !!!!

check "*.xml" files,make shure it added the Error page

I think i've found how to fix this issue when it appears. Don't know what caused it to happen, but that's up to the devs.
In Thunderbird, you need to re-register http and https to make them open with Firefox (or open well with firefox in this case).
How to to this?
Well... open the about:config in thunderbird. You can achieve this by clicking configuration-editor in the advanced tab.
search for the strings: network.protocol-handler.warn-external.https and network.protocol-handler.warn-external.http. Set both to "true".
The next time you click on a link from within Thunderbird, it will ask you to set wich program you'd like to open it with.
Be Aware now!!! Firefox may already be listed in there, but don't pick that one. instead... choose to browse for the app and point to the binairy/exe of firefox.
(for example: /usr/bin/firefox or c:/program files/mozilla/firefox.)
You will notice that firefox now does open up with the page you just clicked on.
If it doesn't right away... just restart thunderbird and check again.
Please respond if this works for you too on all platforms. It's more interesting to know it does than if it's not.

Sounds like a driver issue. I never tested in bridge, so I could be wrong. But it sounds to me that when you are connected to that screen, your settings are not set to the full resolution of that screen.

What determines the links that show up on my .mac page?

Just learning iWeb 1.1.2. I created a site that included a welcome page, about me, three pages of photos, and a movie page. All this was using the templates Apple provided. I renamed the photo and movie pages. I expected the Welcome page for the site to be the only one to show up on my .mac homepage. Instead, under My Pages, the Welcome page is the only one that does not appear. (Isn't it supposed to be the equivalent of index.html?) If I go to one of the listed pages, I can then navigate to the Welcome page. But I think that is backward from how it is supposed to work. Also, another site I created showed up at first, then went off the list when I tried renaming the photo pages (removing colons from the names and adding underscores in place of spaces).

If it's any comfort my .mac page does not show all the pages either. Never really paid much attention to it. Really not sure what that's all about. Sounds like a .mac issue , but don't think I'd worry about it as long as the site works.
By the way, the site looks good.
You might think about a page that shows references your albums with links to the pages. You can elect to not have the album pages in the menu bar. Keeps the menu bar from getting too cluttered. Looks like you had that sort of idea on you "about me" page, but no links.
08 incorporates this concept.

After installing or upgrading to Firefox 31, starting Firefox does not show homepage, customize shows a blank page and the option button does not work

I am the Windows admin for a university department and install PCs with Firefox all the time. This problem does not happen with every PC I maintain, only a select few (different model laptops with Windows 8.1 and update 1.) Until today, it only happened with new user accounts (with admin rights) that I setup on the laptops for our staff. Today this happened with The Administrator account while setting up a new laptop. In all cases so far, I install Windows from a saved image that was created using sysprep.
I have tried the many suggestions of resetting Firefox, deleting the users Firefox profile, deleting the users Windows profile, uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox, uninstalling/reinstalling Firefox and the latest Java, but nothing helps. After uninstalling, I run an app to delete temp files and caches and will even manually remove registry keys HKLM\SOFTWARE\Mozilla and HKCU\SOFTWARE\Mozilla. Plus I reboot and make sure the install folder is deleted after uninstall.
Results are the same: after installing Firefox 31, the initial setup window for migrating IE and/or Chrome pops up and after clicking the Finish button, Firefox starts, but does not show the initial new user page, only a blank page. Clicking on the Options button (3 bars) does nothing. Right-clicking in the proper area, the popup menu appears so I can choose to Customize, but that only opens another tab with about:customize in the URL and the page is blank. From the right-click popup menu, I can enable the Menu Bar and get to Options from that.
My latest attempt has helped a little. I uninstalled Firefox 31, cleaned up, deleted user Firefox profile, rebooted and then installed Firefox 30. Inital startup runs, and tells me I'm not up to date, and the Options button works. But I still cannot customize.
I then upgraded to Firefox 31, but then it's back to no startup page, no options button and no customize. I can downgrade to 30 and get all but customize working again.
Only Addon is one for McAfee Scriptscan for Firefox 15.1.0, which just after installing is disabled.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Ok. I disabled hardware acceleration. The only extension is the McAfee Scriptscan for Firefox 15.1.0, which was already disabled. I then disabled all plugins (Acrobat, Google Update, Intel Identity Protection (2x), Java Deployment Toolkit, Java Platform, MS Office 2013, Quicktime, Shockwave, Silverlight), which were all up to date.
Normal or safe mode still has same result. No startup, no option button and no customize.

How to make the new tabs to open the same URL as the startup page?

I was wondering if it's possible to configure the Firefox in such a way that the new tabs open exactly the same URL that is typed in the Options. I tried to set browser.newtab.url to about:home but it gives me Firefox Google custom page instead of the startup page that I've set in the Options. Another way I tried is to set the browser.newtab.url value in about:config to the same URL as the startup page URL, but then if I change the URL in the options the new tab URL is not changed. So the question is whether it's possible to make the Firefox read the URL that is used for the startup page and go there when opening a new tab.

Error thrown when a link is clicked in OAF page

Hi all experts,
In OAF, based on a query, i am populating the rows in table.
One of the columns is made as a link to a standard OAF page. The link is given below.
Link 1: OA.jsp?OAFunc=PO_ORDER&PoHeaderId={@PoHeaderId}&PoReleaseId=&retainAM=Y&addBreadCrumb=Y
When i click on that link its showing the following error :-
*"You have insufficient privileges for the current operation. Please contact your System Administrator"*
But instead of that if i give the following link (Link 2, after making a slight modification to Link 1). I am getting a page somewhat similar to the desired page. But is showing some unwanted data also.
Link 2: OA.jsp?OAFunc=POS_VIEW_ORDER&PoHeaderId={@PoHeaderId}&PoReleaseId=&retainAM=Y&addBreadCrumb=Y
Can someone help me to make out the problem with the first link.
I need to use Link 1 only in my page.

Attach this function to current user.
