Administration console on HTTP adaptor

Hi,
I have an existing application which is managed through JMX http connector shipped
with sun's reference implementation.
Now i am evaluating weblogic and want to manage it through the same connector
(and donot want to use the weblogic's admin console). How can i do it?
The documents and googling does not help much.

  • Problem Accessing Mapviewer 12c Administration Console

I am attempting to install and configure Oracle Mapviewer 12c (v12.1.3).  The installation appears successful but after performing the installation, I am unable to access the Mapviewer 12c Administration Console.  The default Admin Console URL is http://[host]:[port]/mapviewer.  I can reach the URL using a browser (Firefox, Chrome, IE) but the admin welcome page will not display.  The browser just "spins it's wheels" as it tries to load the page. The image below is from Firefox
Examining the browser's developer console (by pressing F12) while the page is loading, you can see it cycling through the login page repeatedly (see image below).
My environment consists of the following:
    1) Server OS: Linux x86_64 (RedHat Enterprise 5.11)
    2) Oracle Weblogic Server 12c - "Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure" distribution
As per the documentation, Oracle Mapviewer 12c requires specific dependencies that the Generic Weblogic Server installation will not provide (i.e. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/weblogic/overview/index.html).  Instead, you must use the "Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure" distribution, to install weblogic server and all the required dependencies.
The Oracle Fusion Middleware Infrastructure distribution was downloaded from the Oracle ADF download page on OTN or from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.
    - Oracle ADF download page on OTN: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/adf/downloads/index.html
    - JAR file fmw_12.1.3.0.0_infrastructure_Disk1_1of1.zip
    3) Oracle Fusion Middleware MapViewer Version 12c (12.1.3)
    - downloaded from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/mapviewer/downloads/index.html
    - JAR file is fmw_12.1.3.0.0_mapviewer.jar
Following the instructions in the Users Guide for Oracle Mapviewer 12c E29624-02 (http://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1213/core/JIMPV/index.html), I first installed and configured Weblogic Server 12c, followed by Mapviewer 12c.
I made two different installation attempts:
    a) I installed Mapviewer Using the Universal Installer
    b) I Manually Deployed an Exploded MapViewer EAR Folder in WebLogic Server
Both attempts produced the same results.
Specifically, after installing and configuring Mapviewer, I could verify the version of Mapviewer using the URL:
    http://[host]:[port]/mapviewer/omserver?getv=t
Accessing this URL immediately resulted in the expected response text string:
    Ver12.1.3_B140430.1010
I could also successfully access the Weblogic Admin Console (http://[host]:[port]/console) and confirm the Weblogic is running, and that Mapviewer has been successfully deployed and running as well.
However, at this point, if I try accessing the Mapviewer 12c Administration Console via http://[host]:[port]/mapviewer, the Console launch page does not display (as described above).
At this point, I am asking myself why does Oracle's Demo site work (http://slc02okf.oracle.com) and mine doesn't.  I assumed Oracle's own demo site for Mapviewer was using Mapviewer 12c.  I based that assumption on the fact that Orqacle's Demo site (http://slc02okf.oracle.com/mvdemo/demo/oracle_maps_demo_v2.jsp) displays a header referencing Mapviewer 12c (see image below).
However, when I queried the version URL for Oracle's Demo site (i.e. http://slc02okf.oracle.com/mapviewer/omserver?getv=t), I see instead that they are running Mapviewer 11g!!
    Ver11_1_1_7_3_B140717
So, long story short, has anyone successfully deployed Mapviewer 12c, and if so, can you access the Mapviewer 12c Administration Console??
Any and all input is greatly appreciated.
    Wayne

Wow!  That was it.  I was starting the Mapviewer server using 1.8.0_31 (the latest Java 8 JDK).  I switched it over to 1.7.0_75 (latest Java 7) and it works!  Big Thanks!
The Mapviewer 12c User Guide states that you need "JDK7 or later".  I just assumed "later" meant JDK8 as well.  However, when I checked the certification matrix on My Oracle Support for Mapviewer 12c and JDK, it only shows Java 7 as being certified.

  • Starting default administration console on 5.1?

Sorry for this asinine question, but if I'm running WebLogic server
5.1 on a Unix box, can I access the default administration console
    through
    http://host:port/console
? Our network admin seemed to be having trouble accessing it through
    this command.
    Thanks, Dave A.

    Hi.
The admin console for WLS 5.1 is not a webapp in the admin server - it's
a standalone java swing application. You can run it by running the
startConsole.sh script from the command line. In WLS 6.x and higher the
admin console is a webapp as you expect and the url you use below should
    work.

    Hi Paja,
Please check any weblogic process are running by using.
    ps -ef | grep java
    use " *kill -9 < pid >* "
    Now under %Domain_Home%/ bin folder.
    you will find startWebLogic.sh file.
start this one using following way.
    ./startWebLogic.sh
Once you provide your username and password
Check your last logging like this.
    *<Notice> <Server> <BEA-002613> <Channel "Default" is now listening on 10.17.62.212:7001 for protocols iiop, t3, ldap, s*
in this case 10.17.62.212 is my IP address or listen address and 7001 is my http port.
if you enable SSL list port it will also show you that one.
now try to access console using http://<IP address>:port/console
    provide username and password
Here we go to start your weblogic server.
Now in %Domain_Home%/ bin folder you will find one more .sh file says stopWebLogic.sh.
this will help you to stop the server.
Hope this is easy way to start and stop your server.

  • Issue with web access in view administrator console after connection server 5.5 installation.

    Hi All,
I am  trying to bring up my setup with ESXi 5.5 and vcenter 5.5 U2. I made a DNS server and made two 2008 R2 machines and launched vcentre and connection manager on them.
After installing connection server 5.5, I am unable to open the web UI by clicking "view administrator console" icon on my desktop! I installed proper certificated and iis module too and confirmed that my https certificate is properly working. (snapshot attached, filename - snapshot_view_webpage.jpeg)
I google for the possible error and tried below mentioned links but none of them worked.
    1.)    http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2004759
Corrected this error but still system is in same shape and i am unable to get the console's admin webpage.
    2.)    http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2001277
In this method, my admin folder  didn't got recreated as the service restart got stuck for a long time and throws error that service restart got time out!!(snapshot attached)
Can some one please help me to move forward. Please let me know if you need more information from my end.
    Thanks,
    Jeevan

Since the policy AKS is top in sequence under service selection rule so it should hit for sure. As you wrote that even after disabling the default device admin, then also request is hitting the same and restarting the ACS services resolved the issue. The symptoms of your issue are exactly same as stated in this defect.
CSCuo93378    Certain browsers cause ACS database corruption
Due to this issue we have seen cases where request hits the disable and default policies without any reason. Actually accessing ACS via chrome mess around with all the operators in conditions.
The only workaround is to access all the rules and conditions in supported browser. Ensure all the operators are correct, save the changes and restart the ACS services.
The issue seems to be fixed in ACS 5.5 patch 5

  • The administration console doesn't refresh

    Hello,
I used WebCenter Portal Administration Console (http://<server>:<port>/<context_root>/admin to delete a page at runtime.
Then I added new pages in the page hierarchy in my portal application, which I would like to see in the admin console too, but it seems they don't show up
I mention that the admin console looks fine on my integrated environment but on the managed server it doesn't refresh.
How the admin console should be refreshed to reflect the latest changes?
    Thanks,
    Constantin

Yes, your understanding is correct. I added the pages in the pages folder in JDeveloper (11.1.1.4) and then added them to the page hierarchy.
    Here is the pages.xml content
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <pagesDef xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/webcenter/page"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://xmlns.oracle.com/webcenter/page/pagesDef.xsd">
    <pageDef contentMRef="/oracle/webcenter/portalapp/pages/home.jspx"
    hidden="false" shared="false" hasSubPages="false" id="home"
    overridePolicy="true"/>
    <pageDef contentMRef="/oracle/webcenter/portalapp/pages/ipc.jspx"
    hidden="true" shared="false" hasSubPages="false" id="ipc"/>
    <pageDef contentMRef="/oracle/webcenter/portalapp/pages/google.jspx"
    hidden="true" shared="false" hasSubPages="false" id="google"
    overridePolicy="true"/>
    <pageDef contentMRef="/oracle/webcenter/portalapp/pages/services.jspx"
    hidden="true" shared="false" hasSubPages="false" id="services"/>
    </pagesDef>
I can see all the pages in the IWLS admin but in WLS admin I can see only the "home" page.
Previously I deleted "ipc", "google" and "services" from WLS admin and I cannot see them again after a new deployment.
I can add new pages in WLS admin without any problem.
For IWLS, although I deleted the same pages in admin console, after a new deployment all the pages are shown.
I guess it is the setting "delete customization before each run" in JDeveloper which allows the refresh of the IWLS admin console too.
The question is what is the equivalant for WLS? Do I need to "clean" the customization?
    Thanks,
    Constantin

  • Weblogic Server Administration Console does not open

    hi,
I am using EM Grid Control and Weblogic Server is added in the Middleware Targets...when I click on "Weblogic Server Administration Console" to open the Admin Server console it directs me to old IP address in the browser and console does not open...it goes on old IP address...
it gets open when I put the Ip address myself in the browser like:
    https://10.254.166.141:7102/conole
it gets open there...means that server is okay and working properly...
I have seen the logs and it is giving the following message:
<<anonymous>><BEA-220103> <Async web service support is not fully configured. The async response web
service /AsyncResponseServiceSoap12 for this server was not fully deployed because the JMS reliability queue was not

    Hi,
Can you check the EM configuration whenther it has updated the changes made by you i.e. the ip address.
Can you try rebooting the EM application,as this seems to be that the EM has not the changes reflected to it's configuration.
    Hope this helps

  • BizTalk Administration Console problem after installing IBM iSeries Access

    Hi,
We have a Biztalk Server 2010 environment on Windows Server 2008 R2 with SQL server on separate machine.
After installing IBM iSeries Access we get errors in Biztalk Administration Console, especially the Host Instance and Adapter information cannot be loaded.
Except for the errors in Adminsitration Console, the Biztalk installation seems to be working fine, so the integration processes doesn't seem to be affected.
    We get the following error:
BizTalk Server cannot access SQL server.  This could be due to one of the following reasons:
    1. Access permissions have been denied to the current user.  Either log on as a user that has been granted permissions to SQL and try again, or grant the current user permission to access SQL Server.
    2. The SQL Server does not exist or an invalid database name has been specified.  Check the name entered for the SQL Server and database to make sure they are correct as provided during SQL Server installation.
    3. The SQL Server exists, but is not currently running.  Use the Windows Service Control Manager or SQL Enterprise Manager to start SQL Server, and try again.
    4. A SQL database file with the same name as the specified database already exists in the Microsoft SQL Server data folder.
Internal error from OLEDB provider: "The type initializer for 'System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection' threw an exception." (WinMgmt)
I tried to uninstall the IBM iSeries Access, but the problem remains.

Hi and thanks for your help!
    The machine.config did it :)
According to this link there is a known issue with the IBM iSeries Access installation which removes the proper permissions from the machine.config and therefore Biztalk Administration Console stops working correctly.

  • Changing SSL Cert of GroupWise Administration Console

    Hello Novell-forum,
is there any posibility to change the ssl-certificate of groupwise 2014's administration console?
I searched in documentation and internet but can't find anything about that.
    Michael

As far as i can see and test on Groupwise 2014 14.0.1 HP1, if you want to replace the self signed certifcate for the admin console, juste save and replace the file:
/opt/novell/groupwise/certificates/<longhash>/admin.<domain>.crt with the wilcard certificate for your site.

  • Question on Location for SharePoint 2010 Central Administration Console

I am a SQL Server Database Administrator and I am new to SharePoint 2010.  I have been asked to find out what the best practice is for the SharePoint 2010 Central Administration console.  Should it be on the application server or should it be

    Hi Icerni,
As Scott suggested, by default, the server that hosts Central Administration in a three-tier farm is an application server.

    Hi S B
I agree with the rest of the complainers:
Orion seem frozen in its tracks for more than a year
now since Oracle took it over.
I'm not sure if you're saying that OC4J hasn't developed or Orion hasn't developed in the last year.
I know we've been working hard on OC4J. OC4J now leads the SpecjAppserver benchmarks for some categories in both the 2001 and 2002 editions -- big deal you may say -- but that shows OC4J can run complex apps at high workloads and achieve good performance levels. OC4J is J2EE 1.3 compatible and we have an preview release which exposes some J2EE 1.4 functionality in which which we have also integrated TopLink as the CMP provider and provided Web Services capabilities which use JAX-RPC and support for WS-I.
    > The barrier to entry for developers are as follows:
    >
    1) The documentation is all over the place on
technet. They need to consolidate the docs into one
big manual like all the other J2EE vendors.
All the official product documentation for each production releaseis available from one place on OTN.
    http://otn.oracle.com/documentation/ias.html
This is accessible from the doc tab on the top of the OTN page.
The early doc we put out for the preview releases is usually linked off of the OC4J specific area -- is this what is hard to find? I'd appreciate any comments on specific doc you found hard to find so we can try and fix it.
    2) No administrative console except that bulky
    enterprise manager
Enterprise Manager is being slimmed down (and quickened!) for the 904 release.
We're aware that we need an alternative solution for management for the standalone distribution. We have implemented a JMX server and requisite MBeans/APIs per JSR77/88 and this will be available in the OC4J 10.0.3 release. A preview of this is available today. We are also shipping a demo console with the preview which uses the JMX capabilities to do deployment and management of the server.
    3) Lots of undocumented features you need like
dmsoc4j/Spy that it seems only oracle internal people
and people that troll forums can find
We have a lot of capabilities in the product, so it's likely there are some pieces that are not covered in each piece of documentation. The DMS spy utility is described in the performance documentation book for the product. The concepts guide does try to present a relatively high level description of all the components of OracleAS and is worth a quick read to get across all the moving parts.
    4) (most of) the examples are all written by
inexperienced hacks who make them so overly
complicated that the are impossible to use for
learning. The ant scripts for them are terrible
Can you point to which specific examples you are referring to here so we can get it looked at and addressed.
Please OC4J team, put some work into making the
product more useable, clean up the docs and examples,
and for godsakes rename the classes to
com.oracle.oc4j. That's the first sign that you guys
doing a sloppy job of taking it over. And not the
only. Can I ask why do you need the packages renamed? How does that have any effect on you as a developer?
I look forward to your improvements and would offer
to help if it was at all pluggable. Too bad, my
efforts will go to jboss instead. Thanks for the time you put into the feedback.

I have Installed Application Server 7 Platform Edition. Everything runs smooth. The Application Server and the Administrative Server got started perfectly. I checked both of these Servers and they are working perfectly.
The problem is that when trying to connect to the Web-Based Administrative Console.
I get the prompt to enter the Admin username and the password, once I have entered, it accepts but through the following message.
Your Sun One Application Server License does not allow Remote Administration.
Please go to http://www.sun.com/upgradeas7 to upgrade your license.
How can this happen because I am using the same machine where Application/Administrative Servers are running to get connected to Web-Based Administrative Console.

    Hi,
May be you can put an external breakpoint in the method "_get_attribute_rtti"(of class CL_WDR_CONTEXT_NODE_INFO).
From that you can find out which attribute is causing the dump , and try to solve the issue . May be some data dictionary object is not transported to production.(Assuming that you have permission to put breakpoints in production system..:))
